Chapter 12
Up in the clouds, Korra awoke in a blank white space. She was floating in midair. She planted her feet onto the empty space.
"Where am I?" she asked.
"You're in the world beyond." a voice said behind her.
She turned around to see Master Eraqus. But he was much younger.
"Master Eraqus!" Korra said.
"It's good to meet you Korra." he said with a smile.
"But why am I here? Wait. Where's Zia. What happened to the Lights!" Korra said.
"Why don't we take a look?" Eraqus lead Korra to a small glass orb. She looked in and saw what laid before her was the battlefield. The Lights were battling Heartless while Zia watched with anger and hatred. But she soon realized that they were slowly growing tired and were slowly getting outnumbered.
"No! They need me! I have to be there with them!" Korra said. "I'm the only one who can stop Zia."
"You may be correct Korra," a new voice said. She turned around to see the Master of Masters. Beside him were Masters Ava, Ira, Aced, Gula, and Invi. "But the world needs both light and darkness."
"Master!" She ran over to hug them all. "I thought I would never see you again!"
"It's good to see you again Korra." the Master said.
"But how can I go back?" Korra asked.
"Look inside you Korra." Ava said.
"Look for the people you are connected to." Ira said.
"Find the hearts that are most close to you." Invi said.
"Think about what they mean to you." Gula said.
"And think about what makes them strong." Aced said.
Korra felt the necklace around her neck. She always wondered why her necklace was shaped of a heart. Then she knew why.
"It's because I am their light. I believe in them. I am their power. Their strength. I am their family." Korra said.
Korra held her necklace tight and closed her eyes. A glow started to appear beneath her hand. Then back with the others, the necklaces that Korra gave each of them started to glow bright. They all looked down at them. Then they all looked up as the clouds above them parted, revealing a bright white light.
"No. It's not possible!" Zia said as she looked up at the open sky.
A black and silvery-white Keyblade fell to the middle of the spire. It stuck deep into the rock spire and it cracked the spire in half, separating the Lights from Zia. Then Korra dropped down next to her Keyblade. She took it out of the spire and she pointed it at Zia.
"Korra! I thought you wouldn't come back?" Lea said.
Korra looked over her shoulder at him. "I had some help."
She looked back at Zia with a new purpose. A new determination.
"It's time to end this Zia. We've been in battle far too long! It's time to put you back to where you belong!" Korra said.
"Never!" Zia screamed out.
She shrouded herself in cloud-like darkness. Once the darkness disappeared, it revealed a giant pitch black wyvern. Zia roared and lifted into the sky.
Korra looked up and saw Zia flying in circles.
"Here Korra. Take this." Lea said as he handed her his necklace.
"And mine. You're gonna need it." Riku said.
"Thanks you guys. And I'll be using Isa's as well." she said with a smile.
She turned back to the flying wyvern. Once she had all four necklaces around her neck, she used magic to transform into a pure white glittering dragon. She flew towards Zia.
Zia saw her and she rushed towards her. Korra put on a burst of speed and they both collided with each other. They fought tooth and claw. Then using Riku's teleportation powers, she teleported a few feet away from Zia.
She felt ice rising up her throat. She flew towards Zia. When she wasn't looking, Korra would let out a cold burst of ice and freeze the back of Zia. Zia would roar in rage.
Korra would switch between powers. She would freeze Zia, throw fireballs at her, use her own magic, and bit a Riku's dark magic. Zia would blow green fire or lightning at Korra but Korra would always dodge them.
Then Zia let out a beam of dark black magic out of her mouth, straight at Korra. Korra did the same but with pure white-yellowish light magic. The magic collided, creating a ball of both dark and light magic.
At first, it looked like Zia was winning but with love and happiness from all the people she knew and loved, Korra ended up with a stronger power. Her light magic overtook Zia's dark magic. Soon the light developed over Zia and everything became a bright white.
When the light faded, Zia and Korra were back as humans. They were both exhausted. Korra stood up and walked over to Zia.
"It doesn't have to be this way. Please Zia. Let go of this anger, and come back with me." Korra said.
"Never!" Zia slashed her Keyblade at Korra but Korra jumped out of the way. They both fought for a few minutes until Korra pierced her Keyblade into Zia's heart.
"Why. I just wanted to be loved." Zia said, with tears in her eyes.
"You can be loved here." Korra said, her hand on her chest.
"I guess... it won't be bad... going back to your heart." Zia said.
"To our hearts. We can both be equal together." Korra said.
"Together." Zia said. She then became a small white orb. She floated into Korra's chest. Korra closed her eyes and breathed in. She and Zia were complete.
"See. I told you could do it." Riku said.
"See! I was right! I knew we could defeat Zia! I had no doubt!" Sora said.
They all laughed.
Korra was back on Destiny Islands. She was standing this time on the beach. This time, she can really enjoy the peacefulness. Then once again, Riku walked up to her.
"You enjoying the sunset?" Riku asks.
"Yeah." Korra replied.
"Korra," Riku started. Korra faced him. Riku held her hands in his. "You are the most beautiful, amazing, brave, and smart girl I've ever met. You were always there for me, even in the darkest of times."
Korra looked up at him with bright eyes.
"All I'm saying is," Riku went down on one knee and revealed her a ring. "Would you be my girlfriend?"
Korra looked down at the ring and gasped. She looked at her left and saw Sora, Lea and the Lights watching them. They all had either big or small happy smiles. She looked at Lea who nodded.
Korra looked back at Riku and said "Yes!"
She hugged Riku, almost toppling him to the ground. Riku put on the ring and they both kissed. The Lights cheered and they all got in a huge group hug.
"So what now Korra?" Lea asked.
Korra looked out at the sunset, the sun and the sea reflected in her eyes. "We'll see where our next adventure takes us."
