Chapter 13

Alex and Riku traveled together back to Angel Grove, after dropping Dulcea off on Phados, as she had finally recovered. She now had both a gummiphone and a communication orb so she could keep in contact with not only the wielders but Master Yen Sid as well. It seemed that the two old masters had become close, though how close none of them weren't sure. As everyone was doing their own thing before a big celebration back on Destiney Island, Riku had decided he would go to Alex's home world and share details with her family.

Since there were using one of the gummiships they teleported down to the command center where Zordon and Alpha were happy to see them. They in turn called the rangers and Billy to the command center and Alex soon found herself enveloped in a bone crushing group hug. "Alex, I am relieved that you and the other Guardians of Light defeated Xehanort and his Organization." Zordon said smiling down at her and Riku.

"We did defeat Xehanort and the others but it came at a price. We loss Kairi and Sora has gone off on his own to find her." Riku said sadly.

Alex put a comforting had on his shoulder, giving it a squeeze. "Hey if anyone is capable of finding her its Sora."

"I know but I'm worried at what cost." Riku told her as he took her hand and held it tight, which didn't go unnoticed by either of her brothers. Tommy and Jason both frowned as they saw that she intertwined her fingers with his.

"By the way Alex I like the cloths you're wearing." Kat said as she and Tanya walked over to her and looked her over, noting that her zord tattoos were on her arms.

"I love what you've done with your hair too." Tanya said as he picked up Alex's braid and examined the gold chain with crystals braided in it.

"Oh well the cloths were a gift from the fairies to protect me from the Heartless and my mom did my hair when I was pulled into the grid, again." Alex explained and it was then that she and Riku told them everything that happened during the war. When Alex told them that Drakkon had taken Marluxia's place, they were afraid and demand to know if Alex was alright. She was able to assure them that she was ok and that some of them had helped her to defeat him as she had called on their Ninjetti spirits. "You know I had forgotten that my wolf spirit had left me for a short time. I didn't think it was you calling him to your side." Billy said as he stared at her in awe.

"Let me guess, you guys didn't notice?" Alex asked Tommy, Kat, Adam and Rocky.

"No I didn't." Kat said as she thought about it well Tommy, Adam and Rocky said they had noticed which confirmed a suspicion Alex had had for a long time. She had been wondering since the others had switched their power to the Zeo crystals, if the Crain had returned to Kim. She figured that she would have to ask her big sister figure the next time she called Kim.

"Oh I almost forgot. Alex your great Uncle George is here in the city." Jason told her smiling at her look of excitement. "He arrived yesterday with an old trunk, saying it held somethings that belonged to your mom. It was almost like he knew you would be coming back today."

"Well we should go see him and catch up before Riku and I head back to Destiny Islands for the celebration." Alex told them, excited to see her great uncle and tell him all that happened. So saying good bye to Zordon and Alpha they teleported to the Scott's backyard, scaring the three adults who were there relaxing.

"How many times do I have to tell you kids not to- Alex?" James looked at his adoptive daughter in surprise before she ran over and gave him a hug. She hugged Janet and then her uncle, before introducing Riku to the former Keeper of Light.

"I must say young man, you have defiantly earned the right to date Alex in my opinion. Though I imagine that Terra, Janet and James may feel differently." George told Riku, making the silver haired teen turn bright red well Alex tried to look innocent as Jason glared at her and Riku.

"So you've known all along that Terra was Alex's biological father?" Riku asked him.

"Indeed I did as Jessica was visiting my home the day she found our families' keyblade and was sent to the Land of Departure." George explained as he brought their attention to the old trunk he had next to him. "When she returned I took anything that she had in her position that wasn't from our world was placed in here for safe keeping. I had long ago lost the key for this trunk but as a keyblade wielder Jessica could unlock it and lock it again whenever she wished. She only left it with me for safe keeping and I am certain that she would want you to have everything in it Alex."

Alex looked at the trunk apprehensively as she summand Starlight of the Rising Sun and opened it easily, not noticing the looks of awe from her family. Opening it she found the cloths that her mother had worn when she had trained with Aqua, Terra and Ven. There was also some small trinkets, her mother's armor, one of Terra shirts (which surprised them all) and two old photo albums. The first held photos of Jessica's time living at the Land of Departure, well the second turned out to be all of the family photos before Jessica had become sick. "Wow. Leave it to my mom to plan ahead. It was like she knew Dick would destroy all of our family photo albums." Alex said as she looked through the one from the Land of Departure.

"Awe, look at baby Alex." Rocky said as he and the others all crowed around the other photo album.

"Oh no, you guys don't look at those." Alex shouted as she dived for the album but as Riku was the one holding it he easily held it up above his head, out of her grasp, a grin on his face. "Come on Riku give me that. It's so embracing."

"You didn't say the magic word." Riku told her as he continued to grin down at her, well wrapping an arm around her waist. Because of this their faces were close and Jason and the others immediately stepped in, pulling them apart.

"Ok Jason, guys, enough." Alex snapped as she got in her brother's face. "You all need to back off on the protective older siblings' roles. Have you all forgotten that I have known Riku longer then all of you? He earned my love and trust a long time ago. You are all going to have to except that he and are together." To emphasize her point Alex grabbed Riku and crashed their lips together shocking everyone especially him, as he grew beat red but he still kissed her back.

When they finally stopped to breath, Riku looked down at her in shock but was relieved to see a blush was also on her cheeks. The silence was suddenly broken when her great uncle started to laugh. "You are defiantly your mother's daughter Alex as she did the same thing when she and your father Ben became engaged. Though it was your grandma who was on her case." George told them with a fond smile.

It was after that Riku offered the rangers, Billy, George, Janet and James all an invitation to come to the celebration that was going to be held on his world. The Rangers all gracefully declined as they couldn't leave earth vulnerable to the Machine Empire. Janet and James also turned the offer down as they didn't want to be in the way of the young people who would be there. Instead both Billy and Uncle George decided that they would go and meet everyone and see what traveling to another world was like. They picked up Lea, Xion, Roxas, Isa and the Twilight gang in Twilight Town before heading to Radiant Gardens. There Alex and Riku greeted the newly returned Namine who was just coming out of Ansem the Wise's castle. Terra, Ven, Shisui and Aqua were already their waiting when they all arrived, and Alex was a bit taken with the strange gray cat Ven had. "Well hello there." She said kneeling to get a good look at the feline.

"Hello." The cat said surprising Billy and George, which made Alex laugh at them. Now that they were all there introductions were made and when the three from the Land of Departure meet George, they were delighted. They had heard about George from Jessica so they had been wanting to meet him for a long time. They soon all spit off into groups on the beach, having fun and most of them being the teenagers they really were. Alex and her uncle played on their violins, playing lively music for everyone. Riku, Terra and Roxas were running around the beach, with Aqua, Shisui and Mickey cheered them on. Billy was with the twilight gang making a sand sculpture with Donald and Goofy nearby. The sand sculpture of Donald the captain of the guard and the magician had made was taken out by the Frisbee the Ven, Lea and Isa were tossing around.

Alex laughed as she watched as Goofy held his long-time friend back from attacking Ven as he tried to apologise. She could see Xion with Namine by the shore collecting sea shells until hers and everyone attention was drawn to the Papu tree. Alex stopped playing as she saw Sora and Kairi sitting there together, looking at each other as they held hands. In the setting sun the scene was beautiful to behold but then Sora vanished and the light caught the single tear that fell from Kairi.

Not saying anything, Alex put her violin down in its case before running up to that part of the island, to stop at Kairi's side. "Kairi… are you ok?"

The princess of heart looked at the keeper of light, tears falling freely down her face. "No Alex… he's gone." Nothing more needed to be said as Alex climbed up the tree and wrapped her in what she hoped was a comforting hug. Soon all of the other girls joined them and tried to comfort the crying girl as she clutched to Alex.

"I don't understand." Billy said as he and George watched the group of girls. "What exactly has happened to Sora?"

Though Billy asked George this it was Mickey that answered. "Sora… has in a way sacrificed his own heart to return Kairi to us. There's no way of knowing if we can bring him back."

George smiled as he shook his head. "No… there's always a way, if you have faith in the strength of his heart and let yours be his guiding keys."

Well there it is the end f this story and I don't know if I should thank or be mad at my brother in law who got me started on this journey. Though there is more to come as I have a few stories in the worst, one being about how Shisui came to be involved. Also a bit of a filler that may or may not be added to this at a later date as I have to figure it all out. Till then I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy during these tough times.
