"Welcome back to another episode been a while eh? lol after a crazy night on the town Angela is about to endure the morning after, lets see what her morning after a night on the town will offer!"

Chapter 27: Rough Morning

The sound of a thunderous alarm ringed in the ears of Angela as she grunted in frustration as she was layed flat across her bed, her head was heavy and she felt like she was gonna die. Struggling to lift her head off the mattress she saw her alarm showing it was 9:00AM. Fighting against her body in her hangover she crawled to the edge of her mattress and hit the alarm silencing the annoying ringing in her ears as she crashed her face into her mattress.

"Fucking hell..." Angela mumbled to herself as she was almost too weak to move as her head was spinning from the night before.

Angela, Jill, Parker along with Keith and Quint partied all night going from club to club and after a few stops and constant drinking the night just became a blur to her and she couldnt remember what happened after that.

Grunting in agony Angela managed to roll to her back with one arm resting on her forehead just trying to fight the hangover. "Jeez..." Angela mumbled as her head was still spinning. "What the fuck happened...".

Minutes had past as Angela just layed on her bed and after a few moments of collecting herself she managed to gain the strength to sit up and her head just fell forward and she placed the palm of her hand on her forehead.

"uuhh" Angela moaned from the dizziness and soon the managed to collect her thoughts and look down at herself and saw she was still in her brown boots with tight wearing jeans along with white sleeve shirt, she sighed in relief knowing in her drunken state no one took advantage of her. But then again she was with friends and they wouldnt allow that to happen.

After another minute Angela slowly rolled off her bed placing her feet on the hard floor and very carefully stood up, still feeling dizzy she took her time as she stood up and she just felt stiff from the crazy night out but she was happy to have woken up in her own home.

Yawning and stretching her arms she looked to her bedside and saw a note, after yawning and stretching she slowly walked to her bed side and picked up the note and saw it was from Jill, she silently read it out.

"Hey Angie, hope your heads not killing from last night.".

"You were on fire last night dancing and drinking like no tomorrow and the way you went it looked like you needed to go crazy for the first time in years, dont worry me and Parker looked after you and no you didnt do anything that will embarrass you. Unless twerking is what you consider embarrassing lol".

Angela closed her eyes slowly shaking her head only imagining that, slowly opening her eyes she read on.

"Quint and Kieth continued partying when me and Parker decided to take you home, dont feel guilty cause of it cause we partied until near three in the morning, anyway we just left you on the bed and locked your door, we shoved your key back in your letterbox. It was great having a night out with you Angie, we are defiantly doing it again.".

"Maybe after a long break" Angela chuckled to herself and then read the last part.

"We will come check on you later today, turns out we got other business in the BSAA. Enjoy your morning with a hangover Angie, see you later xx".

Angela smiled at the note and placed it back on the bedside and looked to her bathroom. "Time to get out of these clothes".

Sending the morning in the shower was heaven to Angela and after finally being cleaned she was in a pair loose gray sweat pants and a white vest with her hair in a ponytail and just made her way down the stairs of her empty home.

Her body was screaming for a cup of tea to ease her hangover and as soon as she made it to the bottom of the stairs she turned and headed into her large kitchen and right for her kettle. Minutes later Angela was sitting on her kitchen stool by her table and was just enjoying some toaster waffles with a fresh cup of tea and the food and tea seemed to ease her headache.

Looking to her small tv on the wall of her kitchen she was looking at the news showing reports regaurding the Queen Ships back in the Mediterranean Sea, the official reports said the two ships were lost in the storm.

Angela couldnt help but slowly shake her head in disbelief that they used a storm to cover up what really happened, but she knew the truth would be more harmful than good.

Soon she finished her tea and breaking and just left it on the table as she made her way into her living room towards her large sofa, all she wanted to do for the next hour was do nothing and relax but as soon as her butt hit the sofa the door knocked.

Sighing in frustration she got up and slowly made her way to the door while rubbing her still throbbing forehead, turning the handle she opened the door seeing a mail man with a single letter for her.

"Miss Angela Miller?" The man asked offering her the letter.

"Thats me" She responded taking the letter and the mail man left without saying a word and she just closed the door looking down at the letter, with was a white envelope with the BSAA Symbol on it and she knew it was important.

Making her way back to the sofa she sat down and began to open the envelope and there was long letter from the new Director Of The BSAA.

"Miss Angela Miller, first of all I want to congratulate you on your amazing efforts against terrorism in the Mediterranean Sea."

"After careful consideration we have decided to accept our decision on your promotion to Lieutenant of the BSAA, I can understand if you wish to take a few days off to get over your ordeal of being previously infected but I am happy to tell you that you are clean of any infection and can return to duty within the next week.".

"We at the BSAA admire your courage and determination and believe you are a true asset in the war against Bio Terrorism and to say thank you for everything you have done on your first mission, we have transferred one hundred thousand dollars into your account".

Angela's heart almost stopped seeing the numbers before her as she read on.

"Please consider this bonus as a sign of appreciation and we look forward to seeing you return to duty within the next week to continue the fight".

"Director Of The BSAA - Undisclosed".

Angela looked at the letter over and over again just making sure was she read was correct and after three times it finally registered in her mind. She was now a Lieutenant and was paid one hundred thousand dollars for her efforts. She honestly didnt know what to say.

"Holy shit..." Angela just looked forward just shocked.

-Few Hours Later-

Angela was now out of her house sitting in her local park wearing blue jeans, black knee high boots, red shirt with her black leather jacket on and all she did was look on to the massive lake in the park. It was a mild day but she believed the cool day would do her some good especially when it came to her hangover. Leaning against the bench she was sitting on with her legs crossed and arm resting along the back of the bench she just thought about her new life in the BSAA.

A part of her was happy she found something new and meaningful but she couldnt help but remember the horrors she witnessed in her first mission, to think how close she came to turning into a monster was horrifying but by some miracle she was had a great level of resistance and was alive.

Was this what she was meant to do?, was this the life she was meant for? She honestly didnt know but she looked down at her phone in her hand looking at her bank account and right there in six digits was one hundred and seven thousand dollars and it was hers to spend.

Her life had indeed changed, but the question still remained if this was a good or bad one. Either way she was going to see it through to till its crossroads.

All of a sudden as she looked down at her phone she heard footsteps on gravel behind her, looking over her shoulder she quickly relaxed seeing with was non other than Jill with a smile on her face.

Smiling back Angela got up from the bench and walked around it to her and the two opened arms.

"Hey Angie" Jill greeted and the two embraced kissing each others cheek in their friendly hug.

"Hey yourself" Angela smiled holding Jill for a few seconds and soon they pulled apart.

Jill was hearing dark jeans, boots, white shirt with a simple gray hoodie with her hair in her signature ponytail. To Angela's surprise she never knew Jill was layed back in her casual wear and the normal person wouldn't realize she was a BSAA agent.

"You look nice" Angela complemented and Jill looked down at herself chuckling. "Its not my best choice, still recovering from the hang over last night".

It was then Jill looked at Angela's clothes and she smirked. "You on the other hand look like a hot ass".

Angela rolled her eyes and slightly pushed Jill's shoulder getting a chuckle from her and the two turned and went to the bench to have some girl talk.

The two were finally relaxing just looking at the lake and after a few moments Jill broke the silence as she looked to Angela. "So how does it feel to finally have a new start?".

"Honestly..." Angela responded looking at the lake before looking to Jill. "Its abit overwhelming, I mean I am happy to have something new. But at the same time..".

"You dont know how long it will last?" Jill guessed and Angela looked back to the lake before lowering her head slight and giving a slow single nod.

"Ah you'll be ok, if it makes you feel any better I felt the same way after Raccoon City" Jill revealed as she looked to the lake while Angela quickly looked to Jill.

"You were in Raccoon City too?" Angela couldn't believe she just heard that.

Giving a slow nod Jill spoke. "Yeah, had a monster chasing me through the damn city luckily I managed to escape with a friend of mine. Shortly after that my life changed. I went from a simple cop to a agent fighting against Bio Terrorism, it was frightening at first but after a few missions I began to realize...this was what I was meant to do".

Jill then turned her head to Angela. "To stop this from happening to anyone else".

"Obviously there are those moments where you cant save everyone" Angela stated knowing the situation she herself went through. Jill lowered her eyes thinking about Angela's situation with her brother and soon she sighed leaning forward with her elbows resting on her knees as she looked to the beautiful lake.

"I will admit, there are times where I failed to save people..but every time I fail to save one life I am determined to save two more in his place. Sometimes I did feel useless and every time I saw people die in front of me I always thought I did something wrong, overlooked something...but the thing is Angie..." Jill looked to Angela again. "Sometimes we come across things we are in no control of, all we can do is keep pushing forward".

"Just like you have when you joined the BSAA, despite what you lost you still pushed forward and in turn you helped prevent another act of terrorism in the Mediterranean Sea, you helped save thousands of lives from Valtro." Jill then leaned back against the back rest of the bench looking at her friend.

"The job has negatives I know, but dont discount the positives of saving the lives you can. Its the only way to move forward" Jill advised and Angela continued to look at Jill as the words sank in and deep down Jill had a point, in war lives are always lost but it was up to the soldiers to save as many as they could. It was a harsh but it was the honest truth and one Angela knew was absolutely right.

Looking back to the lake Angela took a deep breath through her nose and decided not to talk about the job anymore, she was on her day off and she was going to enjoy it. Slowly standing up she looked to Jill.

"There's a coffee shop nearby, wanna grab a latte?" Angela offered and Jill smiled. "Sure, could murder one right now".

Twenty minutes had past and both Angela and Jill were sitting around a small table outside a coffee shop talking about everything from their childhood leading up to their days in the force, it was a peaceful and relaxing time for both of them and thankfully they weren't disturbed by any bystanders or people who looked at them as they past.

They both spoke about their families and what inspired them to join the police force, they laughed and joked about funnier times in their lives and soon they began talking about relationships.

"So how many boyfriends have you had Angie?" Jill asked taking a sip of her latte and Angela just chuckled thinking about it. "To be honest I only had one, at first he was sweet but I realized he was just a jerk. When he lost his job he would just mope about, ask to lend money and wouldn't even bother to go out with me to clubs".

"Really?" Jill chuckled. "How old were you?".

Angela took a sip of her own latte and tried not to chuckle. "I was nineteen when I met him, broke up with him when I was twenty three".

It was then Jill's eyes widened as she placed her coffee on the table looking at her friend. "Angie!? You've been single for eight years?".

Angela just chuckled rubbing the back of her head. "Yeah, work kind of took over my life, I decided not to waste my time with men and just focus on my own life".

"No hook ups?" Jill joked and Angela rolled her eyes taking her hand from the back of her head and back on the table. "No, never was into that. To be honest after the break up I just lost interest of finding relationships, in a way I was happier knowing I would just be able to focus on me instead of worrying about someone else".

Jill shrugged her shoulders. "I guess that make sense, sometimes people like being single".

"Yeah, that true" Angela agreed and then looked to Jill and smirked. "What about you? How many?".

Jill just chuckled taking a sip of her latte before answering. "I've had two boyfriends, first one was in college. He was a jock and he was really good at sport, but sadly he didnt like my idea of being a cop".

"What do you mean?" Angela frowned.

"Well he believed police officers were corrupted, plus he let it slip he would take illegal substances before his football matches. Finding out I wanted to join the police he said he couldnt be with me unless I ditch the police force" Jill explained.

"So you had to choose between him or the job you worked hard for?" Angela guessed and Jill shrugged her shoulders. "Thats not what broke us up, turns out he was banging one of the cheerleaders on the team".

"Jesus, sorry to hear that Jill" Angela apologized and Jill chuckled. "Dont worry about it, lets just say karma's a bitch. Turns out that cheerleader was the daughter of his coach, when he found out he kicked the bastard off the team and failed him on his exams".

Angela almost spat out her latte as she placed her hand over her mouth trying to hold back her laughter and Jill's shoulder jolted up and down as she held her own laugh in. "The bastard's now working Taco Bell".

With her mouth still over her mouth Angela lowered her eye with her eyes closed as she finally managed to contain her laughter and soon she took her hand off her mouth letting off a cough trying to compose herself, it took her a full minute to get back to normal.

Letting out a little chuckle she took another sip of her latte while looking back at Jill. "And the second?".

Jill looked down at her latte thinking about this one and a small smile appeared on her face. "I met him during the Raccoon City Incident, his name was Carlos".

"At first I didnt trust him as he worked for Umbrella who was responsible for the outbreak but overtime I realized he had no idea and he was just as much an innocent in the chaos". Jill then looked to Angela who listened carefully.

"He was a soldier in the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service, long story short we stuck together during the chaos and at the end of it we both got out alive".

"So it was love on the battlefield?" Angela questioned.

Jill could only chuckle. "Nah, to be honest after escaping and reaching a hotel bar we were so stressed and we...were alone so, we decided to relieve the stress."

Angela's eyebrow raised as Jill went on. "After that night we decided to give it a shot, it lasted for almost a year secretly but soon we couldnt make it work".

"I see..." Angela guessed it was bad but Jill sensed her suspicions. "No no Angie it wasnt an argument, it was a distance problem. You see Carlos went to South America doing his own part against Umbrella, at first it was manageable and we would meet when we could but soon it became almost impossible".

Jill took the last sip of the rest of her latte before continuing. "Knowing the relationship wouldn't work, we both called it off on good terms. We are still friends and we check on each other now and then but we never see each other in person anymore".

"Well at least it ended on good terms, not many relationships end that way." Angela stated and finished of her latte before placing back on the table.

"So how long are you gonna be off?" Jill questioned and Angela shrugged her shoulders. "Maybe three days, dont want to slack".

"Fair enough" Jill stated happy with the answer and she smirked. "So what you gonna do with you big bonus we have all heard about?".

Angela could only chuckle again. "I dont know, still looking at my account every now and then making sure its not a mistake. I might just save it".

Jill rolled her eyes. "Ah come on Angie, you got all that money and your not gonna treat yourself? Have fun girl". She then leaned forward placing her arm on the table smirking. "Whats the one thing you have always dreamed of having besides the farm".

Angela thought for a moment and she bit her lower lip looking down at her empty cup, there sure was something she always wanted. "Well, there is one thing".

"Come on tell me?" Jill asked wanting to know the big secret.

It was then Angela's eyes looked to Jill and she then leaned up whispering what she wanted in her ear like no one else could hear about it.

Angela's voice echoed in Jill's ear as she was told her secret and soon Angela pulled back sitting in her chair was Jill just looked at her was a face of stone, but soon she smirked.

"I know dealer who has one of those, has one for eight nine thousand" Jill revealed and saw the shock on Angela but soon she shook the thought away. "Nah I better not Jill, shouldn't go mad on the money I got".

"Angie..." Jill spoke in a stern voice getting her attention. "Get your ass up, come with me and have something you have always wanted."

"Is it wise though?" Angela asked and Jill then went around the table taking Angela's hand and pulling her up smirking. "What do you think I did when I got my first payment? As soon as I got that I ran as fast as I could and bought 1990 Honda GB500. Girls gotta have fun".

Angela just shook her head looking to the side at the park in the distance and Jill could see she was thinking it over.

"Angie..I can see you want that car, you cant fool me I can see it on your face" Jill said cheekily and Angela lowered her head slightly with a tiny smile forming.

"We can be there in the next hour.." Jill egged her on and Angela smiled a little more as she was losing the battle to resist.

"And I'm sure you can drive it home today if we hurry.." Jill finally broke Angela as the woman slowly turned her head smirking at Jill and in turn Jill smirked back.

"Lets go.." Angela was now excited as she was finally talked into it, leaving a tip for the waitress the two woman took off hailing a taxi nearby ready to spend some money.

The day of a severe hangover was now replaced with excitement as Angela was about to buy the car she dreamed of having, her heart raced as she and Jill jumped into the taxi that stopped for them and they finally went off towards their destination.

"Guess Angela's morning of a hangover wasnt all bad eh lol I absolutely love writing moments with her and Jill and just proud of how its going, anyway we got one more chapter with the two before we return to action with a prologue to RESIDENT EVIL 5!. Hope you enjoyed this chapter and are ready for more :)
