Let's get this party started!
Recap: Jack still had Ana as a prisoner. She confessed what she did wrong in their relationship and admitted that even though she's angry at Jack and what he has done she doesn't want him to die. She was trying to make him see reason to let her go. Christian went looking for clues himself and got a hint that Jack and Ana might be at The Marina but then the police called and said a gunshot had been fired and there was a woman screaming.

Poison Apple: Chapter 11: Negotiations
Ana
My head was sore. Jack hitting me with the butt of the gun was not something I expected. I know I shouldn't have screamed at him but I just lost it. I've been here for nearly 5 days and the only time I get to leave this chair is to go to the bathroom. Jack has showed any sign of letting me go, I miss my friends, I miss my family and I'm scared for my life. I just want to go home.
I wanted to try and plead with Jack again but I knew it was no good, not now anyway. He's fired the gun and shot a hole in the wall just a meter away from me but I'm hoping that someone has heard the gunshot and they call the police. With any luck that gunshot might just be the thing to get me out of here, I think Jack knows that too because he is mumbling to himself about plans on what to do next. I can't make it out because of all the mumbling but the way he looks at me tell me that if his plan goes ahead then I'm not getting out of here alive.
Sirens. Yes. Sirens. Someone is on their way to rescue me!
Jack turned to face me and knew the game was up. He lifted the gun and pointed it at my head, I took a deep breath and watched as his finger moved to the trigger, this was it, he was going to kill me and then probably himself.
"Jack," A man's voice called out loud outside, it sounded like whoever was talking was using a megaphone "Jack, we know you're in there and we believe you have Ms Ana Steele in there too," The voice said again "My name is Tony. I'm a Police Officer and I want you to let Ms Steele go, throw the gun out here and then come out yourself. Give us a chance to talk about all of this without distractions and people," Tony told him.
"This is it Jack," I stated "You kill us or we get out of here," I added.
"Me and Ana haven't finished talking yet," Jack called back to the police.
"Is Ana ok?" Tony asked.
Jack nodded at me.
"I'm fine," I shouted back.
"Ana!" I'd recognise that voice anywhere "If you have hurt one hair on her head I'll kill you!"
"Christian!" I shouted "I'm ok!" I told him.
"What the hell is Christian doing here?" Jacked asked me.
"I've been in here with you for five days. I don't know what he's been doing," I answered.
"Tell Mr Grey to go!" Jack shouted out to Tony.
"He's gone... he wasn't supposed to be here, I'm sorry," Tony said.
"Christian Grey is the reason all of this is happening. He tried to take Ana away from me so I had to take her away from him. She needs to see that I'm the one for her. No one, not even Mr Grey is going to love Ana as much as I do, care for her as much as I do or be willing to lose everything like I have. I bet he's not going to give up his life and career for her like I have, I threw it all away just to get her here to talk to her," Jack explained.
"You love Ana very much. I understand that, I've seen a picture of the two of you together, you look like a very nice couple," Jack started to cry "Is it ok if I come in to talk to you Jack? Just me. No one else, it will be easier for us to talk to each other that way without walls and megaphones," Tony suggested.
I nodded at Jack to let him come in.
"Just you." Jack replied.
Everything went quiet for a moment. I couldn't even hear the seagulls anymore; it was as if the whole world had stood still. There were footsteps coming towards us, Jack moved to the door and as it opened he grabbed hold of Tony, pulling him inside and slamming the door shut quickly. Tony had his hands up in surrender to show Jack that he didn't mean any harm to him and he wasn't carrying anything.
Tony reminded me of Taylor; similar age, similar hair cut and from the way he's standing I'm guessing he has a similar background to Taylor.
"I'm Tony," Tony outstretched his hand to Jack and Jack hesitated for a moment before he shook Tony's hand for a second and then pulled away. Jack walked back towards the door, stopping Tony from leaving; Jack lowered the gun but kept it in his hand "I've got some water in my pocket, would you like some?" He asked Jack and Jack shook his head "Can Ana have some?" He asked and Jack nodded.
Slowly Tony reached into his pocket and grabbed a bottle of water, he took the cap off and held it up to my lips for me to get a drink and then pulled it away putting the lid back on.
"I don't want to go to prison," Jack stated.
"I'm going to be honest with you; kidnapping Ana, holding her hostage and shooting that guy at her apartment were all bad decisions. You will go to prison for this but it's down to you for how long. The longer you keep us here, the higher the risk you pose the longer you're gonna be locked up. If you are remorseful and fully co-operative then you are likely to get a more lenient sentence," Tony explained.
"Jack, this really is the end of it now," I told him "You haven't hurt me whilst I've been here. You have kept me fed and watered, I've been able to go to the bathroom so surely that will go in your favour. I'm sure the judge will understand you did this all out of love and not maliciousness," I added.
"I'm scared," Jack confessed.
"You don't have to be scared. I will be there with you every step of the way," Tony said "I can see you're a good guy who is just madly in love with a beautiful young woman," He told Jack "The first thing you need to do is give me the gun." Tony extended his hand for Jack to give him it.
"No!" Jack shouted and Tony took a step back "I said I don't want to go to prison!" He shouted and lifted the gun, pointing it at me "This is your fault!" He screamed at me and pulled the trigger.
Christian
The Marina was tapped off and I had been forced to wait by my car with Taylor as this was a police matter and apparently my presence was making things worse. At least I know that Ana is alive and when she called out she did sound ok, she didn't sound like she was in pain or anything so that's a good thing. However, I meant what I said to Jack; if he has hurt one hair on her head I will kill him. I have the means to make it happen and I should have ordered this a long time ago, to protect Ana from something like this. I know lots of people who would've done killed him and thanked me for the privilege, Jack is one of life's lowlife's and he deserves to be dead for what he's done. Men like him never change and he can't be given the chance to do this again to someone.
Taylor and I watched as the Police Officer, Tony, walked onto the boat. Surely this means this whole ordeal is nearly over and we can have Ana back and have him locked up somewhere. Taylor was a couple of feet away from me on the phone to one of the officers at the boat getting updates, Tony was wearing a wire so everything that was being said was being broadcasted back to everyone on the dock. It would help in his conviction because apparently kidnapping someone and shooting someone else wasn't enough!
A gunshot rang out and it was as if everything was moving in slow motion. I watched as the police stormed the boat, I wanted to go to but Taylor grabbed hold of me and held me back telling me not to get in their way. There was so much shouting and screaming and then another three gunshots rang out around The Marina.
"Ana!" I screamed as loudly as I could.
Everything went still and silent. The only thing I could hear was my heart beating what felt like a thousand times a minute in my chest.
"What did you hear before the gunshot?" I asked Taylor desperately.
"I don't know who was shot if that's what you're asking Sir," Taylor replied.
"I need to get down there," I stated but Taylor pulled me back again.
"Sir, if you go down there the police might shoot you by mistake. Just wait here until they start coming out and its cleared," He said.
"I need to know if Ana is ok," I pleaded.
The sound of sirens began to fill my ears, an ambulance... no two ambulances were coming. Two ambulances mean that there are two people hurt. I have a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach that one of these ambulances is for Ana. The other one better be for Jack, if it isn't, they better get another one down here for him when I get my hands on him.
The two ambulances sped into the car park and halted, the breaks screeching loudly. Paramedics flew out of the ambulance, two gurneys going with them down towards the boat. I started going after them and heard Taylor behind me, trying to call me back but I was ignoring him.
It took less than 10 seconds to reach the boat; I followed the paramedics in and followed them through until we got the room where I'm guessing Ana had been held. The police were swarming the police and there was a lot of blood on the floor. Jack was lying on the floor, not far from the door, his eyes were closed and he had two gunshot wounds to the chest. His blood was pooling on him and running down into the floor and there was a large blood puddle underneath him.
Ana.
She was lying on the floor on the other side of the room, she had a gunshot wound to what looked like her stomach. She was out cold and there was blood everywhere. I saw a chair that had ropes on the floor around it, that was the chair she was tied to whilst she was here.
"Ana," I called out softly.
A paramedic pushed me out of the way and I froze.
"Her name is Ana. She is a 21year old female with a gunshot wound to her lower abdomen; we have an exit wound for the bullet. She has been held captive here for five days and has been tied to that chair. No signs of any other injuries apart from the rope marks; she has lost a lot of blood and believes her to be dehydrated,"
"Don't let her die," I pleaded.
"We're going to do everything we can for her but you need to give us some space," The paramedic told me.
"Time of death is 14:22."
What a place to end this chapter... and you were all stressed out about the last cliff hanger! Hahaha... it's all part of my evil plan!
Thank you all so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed that chapter, I certainly enjoyed writing it. I know there are still so many unknowns left on this story but we will start the clean up process in the next chapter so make sure you come back.
