Disclaimer: I don't fucking own One Punch Man
Chapter Eleven: The Bald Bastard Himself
Something touched Tatsumaki in the shoulder, waking her from her sleep. Tatsumaki shrieked, telekinetically pushing everything back.
The bed under her was obliterated, and the rest of the building shuddered.
"Damn, you have to chill out. I just poked you," an uncomfortably familiar voice said.
"You," Tatsumaki snarled, whipping around to glare at the blank face that stared at her.
Those empty eyes looked at her, unimpressed. "Fubuki said it's time for dinner," the bald man proclaimed.
"That doesn't give you an excuse to touch me you fucking pervert!" Tatsumaki screamed at him.
Saitama shrugged. "You were asleep. Fubuki said to wake you up."
"If Fubuki was so worried she could have woken me up herself!" Tatsumaki yelled.
Saitama shrugged. "Eh. I don't mind."
"It's still rude to wake someone in such a disruptive manner. Next time, I won't be so forgiving. Consider yourself lucky we're in my sister's home or I would have sent you into the ground," Tatsumaki warned.
Oddly Saitama nodded to himself, as if contemplating it as an offer. "I like the ground. It's peaceful. Makes you feel like a bamboo shoot."
What the fuck was wrong with this idiot?
"How on fucking earth do you-never mind. But next time don't touch me," Tatsumaki chastised.
The bald man raised a nonexistent eyebrow at her. "You want me to wake you up again?"
"What? No! You pervert! Stop misinterpreting everything I say!"
"But you said next time. That means you assume I will wake you up again."
"No it does not!" Tatsumaki screeched, her voice becoming higher than she would have liked. "Don't ever touch me again, and don't presume I want you to wake me up again either! Stupid avocado ass looking headlight!"
"Hey! My head is not bumpy," Saitama complained.
How can one person be so infuriating?
"Plus, I didn't think children knew their fruits and vegetables so well."
That was it.
Tatsumaki's aura shook the building as she prepared her attack. The idiot looked around in mild awe, obviously not aware of what was about to hit him.
With a roar, Tatsumaki released a psychic blast that knocked the caped baldy straight through the side of the building and into the asphalt below. Tatsumaki raced outside and blasted him again, smashing his body down again into the subways beneath the city. Another blast and he was buried deep underground.
Tatsumaki smiled. Let's see what the fool has to say to that.
"Hey," someone said. Tatsumaki screamed, whirling around. The bald man had somehow got behind her and was staring at her with a blank expression. "The best way to be underground is to leave your head aboveground. Otherwise it's kinda hard to breathe."
"I'll make it hard for you to breathe you fucking spineless turtle!" Tatsumaki clapped her hands together and pieces of asphalt, cement, and lampposts came together to form a ball around the baldy. Tatsumaki squeezed, constricting the material around him until it covered him like a second skin. The mold was stronger than titanium and wrapped around every scrawny muscle this weakling had. For most people, this traps them completely, not being able to move as they slowly suffocated to death. She wondered how the baldy would deal with it.
He shattered it of course. With what seemed like a casual twist of his torso, the bald man destroyed the construct. Tatsumaki was forced to put up a barrier so the debris didn't hit her.
"What the hell was-" the bald man never finished because Tatsumaki was on him, smashing his face into the road. She whirled and threw him several blocks, face digging a trench in the street.
Tatsumaki launched herself after him just as she sensed her sister come outside. She would not save her 'acquaintance' this time. If he was so strong, he should be able to defend himself.
The bald man was tearing his face out of the road when Tatsumaki hit him again, this time grabbing his legs and lifting him into the sky.
"Woooooah-" the bald man shouted as he was carried into the sky. Tatsumaki spun, gathering momentum and threw him back into the ground. Tatsumaki reached out her hand, summoning her power. The spot where the baldy would land bubbled and began to glow. The baldy crashed down, splashing molten rock onto the road.
"Ah, now this is more like it," the baldy said, casually putting his arms behind his head.
Tatsumaki stared at this man in disbelief. "What the hell are you doing? We're in the middle of a battle here!"
The bald man opened an eye at her for a moment. "Oi, brat, you still here? Why don't you go play with kids your own age?"
"AHHHHH!" Tatsumaki screamed, the molten asphalt erupting like a geyser, shooting Saitama into the sky. He regained his balance midair and landed on his feet. But he wouldn't stay like that for long. Tatsumaki had sculpted four nearby lamp posts into massive iron spears and launched them at the egghead. Three of them impaled themselves into the street, but the last one hit the baldy square in the chest. Tatsumaki's grin turned into shock as the projectile, moving at least as fast as a fighter jet, caved in on itself as it made contact with the bald man's chest, failing to even move him, falling to the ground with a metallic clang. He raised an eyebrow at her.
Tatsumaki screamed, unleashing her power. "Alright baldy, I've had enough of you. I'm going to eradicate you."
A whirlwind started underneath Tatsumaki. It started off small, only about a city block in diameter, but grew in size and strength. Cars and portions of buildings were ripped from their stationary places. The bald man stood his ground, shielding his face from the wind. Tatsumaki raised her arms, lightning arcing across the sky. Finally, the baldy was ripped from his feet, swirling around in her vortex of destruction. Tatsumaki smiled sadistically as she watched the bald man get whipped around helplessly by winds rivalling the strongest hurricanes. Tatsumaki pointed at him, and lightning struck him midair. Before he could recover, Tatsumaki made a gun with her fingers and shot it. Her bullet was no metal shell. Hers was pure energy, focused psychic power, and much stronger than any gun Metal Knight could make.
The bullet collided with Saitama, knocking him out of the tornado. He landed nearly a full city away, but Tatsumaki made sure he would still be able to see her. Tatsumaki stared at him with her psychic vision. He stood on the pavement, head bowed. Then he looked up, a faint grin on his face. "Not bad, kid."
…
Not bad? Not fucking bad!? DRAGONS were incinerated with attacks like that!
But that wasn't Tatsumaki's final attack. Oh no. This was just her preparation. With the rubble she had collected, she was able to form one of her greatest attacks she ever came up with.
The rubble and debris collided, merging into one enormous figure inside the vortex. Tatsumaki melded them together the way she did with Saitama's mold, making it nearly indestructible, even to powerhouses like Darkshine.
Stepping out of the vortex, a massive figure emerged. It was taller than the tallest skyscraper in City P, easily over a hundred stories tall, constructed out of Tatsumaki's own psychic power and controlled sovereignly by her.
"Beware mortal, you have incurred the wrath of a Queen! I give you, THE GODDESS' GOLEM!"
The massive creature raced forth with speed unprecedented for something of such magnitude, propelled by Tatsumaki's power. It crossed City P in three gargantuan steps, swinging at the bald man. It grabbed him up and swung it's fist into an office building, shockwave shattering every window within four blocks. Tatsumaki swung her arm, and the behemoth followed in suit, throwing Saitama into the next city. The statue jumped, heading towards Saitama's landing area. Tatsumaki followed.
The massive figure landed right on top of Saitama, smashing him into the earth. Tatsumaki snapped, and the fabulous figurine Tatsumaki created raised its arms and pummeled the ground where Saitama lay helplessly. Again and again the bald man was hammered into the ground where a crater was forming. Tatsumaki snapped again and the titan ended it's assault.
"Had enough, baldy?"
In response, the bald man jumped out of the crater, leaping until he was eye level with Tatsumaki's creation. "You know, you really should be more considerate of other people's stuff."
With a single punch, the entire head of her giant shattered into tiny glass like shards.
The titan reeled from the force of the punch, and the bald man began his descent towards the earth.
Until the giant kicked him, launching him back to City L.
"You think breaking my perfect warrior's head is going to stop him?" Tatsumaki laughed. "You imbecile! No wonder they put you in B Class you fucking loser!"
The now headless titan raced back to where Saitama was and struck at his form. But the bald man employed a different tactic than before. He dodged each and every strike the monstrous statue threw at him, moving so fast he seemed to teleport. Tatsumaki's anger rose. Idiot. Did he think he was faster than her?
The titan raised his fists clenched together and slammed them down, creating a massive shockwave, decimating buildings nearby. But the bald man remained standing. Angrily, Tatsumaki commanded her giant to continue it's assault. It threw a punch at the bald man, but something happened. It took a moment for her to comprehend it.
The baldy man caught her golem's fist.
It was impossible. Inconceivable. No one had that kind of power.
Yet he did it.
And not even a moment later, he stood on top of her giant's decapitated neck, eyes focused, features more defined than she'd ever seen. And the bald man raised his fist and smashed it down on the giant.
For a moment, nothing happened. Then a force, like a wave, rippled through the statue. It started at the base of its neck, where Saitama punched it and traveled out and down until it reached the feet of her behemoth. Then, the whole thing shattered at once.
Tatsumaki could only stare in shock. Darkshine would struggle to break a kilogram worth of her specially designed metal. It was stronger than anything Metal Knight could ever dream making. And this man-this monster-destroyed countless tons worth of it.
The man in question was standing on the ground, shiny black fragments falling around him.
Tatsumaki seethed. What was wrong with this man? How had he gathered such power? Sure, it was nothing compared to Blast or King, but maybe, just maybe, he had a chance of rivalling her.
This would not stand.
The wind picked back up, and the black fragments picked themselves off the floor and launched themselves at the source of Tatsumaki's rage. The bald man looked up, mildly surprised. The bitch.
Tatsumaki roared, stabbing at him with countless spears of her broken goliath. He remained where he stood, absorbing the force of her projectiles. Fuck this then. New tactic.
Using the broken shard of her golem, she forged a new construct. Saitama looked at her amusedly. Good. Let him marvel at his own demise.
It was done. A weapon designed to kill monsters. A weapon forged in her image. As much as she was forged in someone else's.
Tatsumaki shook the thought. That was then. This is now.
A massive black sword, ten feet in length, nearly double the height of the chrome domed caped crusader. That would now be her tool to exact her vengeance.
Tatsumaki launched herself at Saitama, swinging the massive sword at him. It caught him square in the chest, launching him into the sky. She followed quickly, getting above and slamming him back down. He smashed into an office building and crashed all the way to the first floor.
Tatsumaki flew to the bottom and swung her blade in an arc, cleaving the building from it's foundation. It collapsed promptly, trapping the baldy within.
Tatsumaki breathed out. She didn't realize how out of breath she was, or how fast her heart was racing. She hadn't had a battle like this since the Monster Association.
The rubble shifted. Just as Tatsumaki was about to raise her sword, a voice cried out. "Tatsumaki! Stop this nonsense!"
Tatsumaki tensed. "This has nothing to do with you sister. Leave, or you may get hurt."
"I will not go. You are attempting to hurt one of my subordinates."
"I still don't work for you," Saitama said, slightly annoyed, clambering out of the debris.
"Regardless, you are a hero and a colleague. I cannot allow my sister to continue such reckless actions."
Tatsumaki laughed. "Maybe you forgot, sister, but you don't control me. Neither am I a hero. As far as the HA is concerned, I am a monster," Tatsumaki spat.
"No you're not. Regardless of what anyway calls you, you're still human, and you're still my sister. Come on Tatsumaki. Let's go home."
I have no home, Tatsumaki thought.
"I won't leave here without you," Fubuki assured her.
"You always were stubborn, Buki," Tatsumaki said.
"I have caramel apples," Fubuki added.
"Shit! You do! And you waited until now to tell me!? Come let's go!"
