Chapter 27 enjoy
Everyone has gathered around to celebrate their victory.
Mostly since Nirvana stopped moving.
The only ones not there were Natsu and Cobra, and tri-men plus the exceeds.
"We can finally rest easy," Gray shouts, getting cheered from all around.
Then they saw what looked to fire off in the distance.
"About time those two showed up," only for him to land with a slam were a look of fear in his eye as Cobra landed beside him.
"About time you showed up, we stopped them from using Nirvana," Gray said in a cocky voice.
"WE GOTTA GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!"
"Slow your roll Natsu, we stop them, let's take a moment to relax."
Then a blue glow started to permeate the atmosphere surrounding the decayed city.
"Damn it, we're too late!"
"What going on, Natsu."
"Guy, we have a problem!" Happy shouts with his fellow exceeds right behind them.
"What happened?" Erza asked
"You guys won't believe this, all the plants and trees and stuff look like they're dying!"
The blue glow grew in intensity enough for them to notice.
"What's happening?" Lucy stated
"Brain destroyed the focusing lacrima-" he would have continued before being cut off by Hibiki.
"Up here," they look to see the Christina flying above them." we have to destroy Nirvana and quick, or it will blow up!"
"BLOW UP!" they shared a terrified expression.
"I take it, you know how to stop it, Hibiki?" Natsu asked
"yes, with the main focusing lacrima destroyed, Nirvana will keep absorbing magical energy from the ground through the six legs. If we don't destroy them soon, everything will be destroyed."
"Can't we just run for our lives?" Gray said in a panic.
"Too much time has passed for that. If we want to live, we have to destroy the lacrimas gathering the magical energy."
Suddenly the ground starts shaking before fissures form with a blue glow emanating from them.
Then they all got a map of the inner working of Nirvana.
"If my calculation is correct, we have 30 minutes before it goes boom. You have to hit the lacrimas at the same time, or they'll fix themselves. You have 20 minutes to reach your lacrima any later, and you'll risk being overwhelmed by the magical energy."
"Wait, what will happen with the magic energy absorbed so far!" Lucy stated.
"The current amount will be reabsorbed by the earth within a few days. Now hurry, we don't have time!"
Everyone got a 20 minutes timer in their heads.
"What are we standing around? Let's get a move on people, I'll take one," Natsu shouts as Happy picks him up, rocketing to one of the lacrima.
"Two" Cobra and Sebastion went to the second one.
"Three," Wendy, with the help of Carla, raced towards hers.
Erza requiped into her war god armor "Four!" and she was off.
"I'll take five," Ultear shouts before racing off.
"I'll take six the rest of you meets at the fork in the road north of here by the Nirvit trading post," Jellal shouts before racing to his lacrima.
"I just hope they make it in time," Gray said as he took the lead off the decayed city.
Fortunately, it didn't take them long to find the lacrimas.
Now all they have to do is wait.
Once the timer was up, they let loose that most powerful attack and successfully stopped Nirvana from exploding and destroyed it in the process.
After about a thirty-minute walk, they all met up to celebrate their victory.
But it was short-lived as the newly reformed magic council showed up.
"We here to take those two into custody," Lahar said, pointing to Richard and Sorano.
The only ones not up in arms were Natsu, Jellal, Ultear, and Erza plus Happy.
"Enough!" Erza shouts, quitting them.
"Thank you Erza" Lahar said.
"Wait, there's one thing I have to do," Sorano said before walking up to Lucy. "Take good care of them, please," she handed over her gate keys.
"You have my word Sorano."
"Thank you, Lucy" she then handed herself over to be arrested.
"Thank you, Siegrain, for helping us out," Natsu stated.
"It was my pleasure Natsu" he waved the other goodbye as he left with Lahar and the others.
"Well, the job here is done!" Gray chirped, getting the same response from the others.
"I don't know about you guys, but I'm exhausted after this. I say we camp for the night, so we're fresh in the morning."
Moments after those words, Wendy followed up, the exceeds all yawned.
Soon after, everyone was showing signs of exhaustion.
It was all agreed to camp out for the night.
Morning
Natsu was the first to wake before the other and was forced to wait on them.
After an hour, everyone was up and ready to go.
"We can finally go home," Lucy chirped.
"I have one more thing I need to do before we head back to the guild," Natsu said he headed north.
"What is a flame brain?"
"Just have to deliver a message to a friend, you're welcome to join me if you want."
Within seconds Ultear. Happy and Wendy were right beside him.
Many of the others just shrugged before falling in line behind him.
Didn't take long for them to cross the Nirvet trading posts.
Natsu walked up to the door to knock on it a few times before stepping back.
A few moments later, an elderly man walked out the door and stood before them.
"Who are you?" Wendy asked.
"My name is not important. I'm simply giving you my thanks for destroying Nirvana."
"How do you know about Nirvana" this time was Jura.
Natsu and Roubaul traded glances before Natsu simply nodded.
"It's simple. I'm the one who created it." The atmosphere fell silent for a few moments.
"Be easier for them if you told them everything."
With a sigh, "this all started 400 years ago" and somewhat lengthening tale, everyone one was deathly quiet.
"He's telling the truth," Natsu added.
"How is this possible?" Gray stated.
"I'm a restless spirit. I've been watching over these lands till the day Nirvana was finally destroyed. With it gone, I can move on knowing my last wish is complete."
"Natsu! How long have you known about this?" Erza said with a glare.
"We passed through here a few years ago on our way back from a job," Ultear added as she stood right beside him.
"There, not lying, when I first met him, I was walking around the ruins of our village, Natsu walked by catching sight of me. That led to a conversation when I ended up telling him my story and why I'm here."
"Natsu, did you purposely agree to form this coalition to destroy Nirvana as he requested?" Jura said
He looks to his guildmates who all had small of their own.
"Of course he did after he's a fairy tail wizard," Erza answered.
They got nods of approval for the others.
"Well, if that's all, I must leave as theirs no reason to stick around anymore, oh and one more thing help yourself to anything in my shop I won't be needing it anymore."
They all waved and said their goodbyes, Roubaul simply waved back as his body phased out of existence.
They took a quick glance over what was left of the shop.
"That's everything. Let's head home, everyone." Everyone nodded in response.
One day later.
After a long journey, the Fairy tail wizards finally made it back to Magnolia.
While the others were smiling, Natsu wore a concerned look for one week from now, the town will be absorbed by an anima.
But he quickly hid it to not concern the other.
But what he was more scared for...was Ultear obviously but if kinana and Levy are absorbed as well.
He doesn't even want to imagine how they would react to it.
But that was enough for the time being.
Now he has to find a way to deal with his motion sickness since Wendy has it now.
Only one person comes to mind that can help them, and that was Porlyusica.
He hung his head in shame before calling his fellow slayers over to him.
"What wrong, Niichan?"
"What she said," Happy said with Sebastian and Carl right beside him.
"Two words. Motion sickness."
All color drained away from his sky and poison counterparts.
Wendy took it the worst, obviously as she felt like she failed them.
"What about the other three?"
"Can you bring them over Cobra while we try to convince Porlyusica to help us out?"
"Fine," he said before heading off with Sebastian sitting on his shoulder.
"Come on, Wendy, we might as well get this over with."
45 minutes later
Five out of Six dragon slayers now stood outside of Porlyusica house.
Natsu inside, trying to convince her to help them.
At first, she said no, but Natsu was persistent.
Eventually, she finally agreed to help them.
The two walked with the remaining five waiting on them.
"So, what did you bring us out here, Natsu?" Gajeel snarled.
"Wendy's strength has grown to the point where she now has motion sickness." He said blankly.
Gajeel, Sting, and Rogues' face all went pale.
"So, what is the game plan?" Cobra added.
Natsu turns to Porlyusica, gesturing for her to speak.
"There may be a way to cure it, but I'll need a few supplies."
"What do you need?" Rogue asked.
With a sigh, "for starters, I'll need some small BLANK lacrimas about this size" with her hand, the lacrima had to be about an inch in diameter.
"What else?"
Porlyusica took a deep breath to calm her nerves after being cut off.
"As I was saying," she glared daggers at Gajeel.
"Obviously, I need Wendy's help. and some ethernano crystals."
"Is that everything Porlyusica?"Natsu asked.
"Yes." She looks to the others, "what are you standing around to go get the lacrima and ethernano!"
"Right away, ma'am," they all bolted off to get what was needed.
Once an hour had passed, she had the lacrima.
Natsu showed up soon after with the ethernano.
"Sorry for taking so long, I didn't know how much you needed" he gives her a crystal about the size of her head.
Unlike everyone else, she could see the exhaustion in his stance.
"That idiot!" a small smile graced her face.
They did as she asked, and now they wait.
With brush and ink, she drew out a circle to start the enchantment.
She breaks down the crystal to a Necessary size.
She then places the ethernano in the center before the lacrima.
Porlyusica started saying some weird chants.
A few moments later, the lacrima and ethernano crystals start glowing.
Next thing they know, the blank lacrimas crystals started absorbing the ethernano
"Wendy, I need you to cast the spell!"
"Ok," she quickly cast the spell.
The lacrimas started glowing yellow only to fade, revealing what looks to be miniature suns in it.
She attached what look to be leather cords to them.
She gives one to each of them.
"That should do the trick as long as you have it on you!"
"Thanks, Porlyusica, you really came through for us this time. How can I repay you for this?"
"You can pay me by leaving my house!"
"No argument here come on, let's get back to the guild."
A few hours later
When Natsu finally made it home, he saw Ultear sitting down, brushing her hair.
Natsu's male side was begging to be released as she was in nothing but her bra and panties.
This was clear by the pink dusting his cheeks.
A small smile formed on Ultear's face from this.
She snapped her fingers, causing Natsu to grin like the village idiot.
There is only one spell that is activated by that, the Contraceptive.
Yes, it is technically a safe day for her, but she doesn't want to take the chance.
Despite that, it was a never-ending battle to fight the urge to not cast it.
He quickly activated a mute rune.
He very quickly undressed before she grabbed his hand, leading him to their bed.
It was one lively night for the couple.
Morning
The first to wake was, of course, Natsu.
He looks down to see his wife cuddling up to him.
After taking a moment, he realized they were naked, his arm wrapped firmly around her waist.
She was resting her head at the base of his neck.
It was then he felt something wet.
He looks to see a few stray tears out of the corner of her eyes.
He tightened his hold on her ever so slightly, knew those all too well.
They were the tears from her desire to be a mother.
Tears started rolling off his cheeks as well.
He puts his forehead.
"I know it's hard Ultear, but-"
"This desire is getting stronger by the day!"
"Just one more month, then we can start planning our future."
"Promise!"
"Why would I kid about something like this?"
"Just testing you," she let out a giggle.
He lifted her head by the chin, giving her a kiss of understanding.
After they got dressed, they went to the guild and just in time.
The alarm went off, letting everyone know the Gildarts shift has started.
New to this, both Lucy and Meredy went outside to see the town shift and reassembled into a straight path.
Off in the distance was a lone figure.
Of course, right beside them was Cana with a smile on her face.
"Why are you out here, Cana?" Lucy asked.
"What a girl can't welcome her father home!" She said with a smug grin.
Wasn't long before the most powerful mage of fairy tail stood at the door.
"CANA! It good to see you, darling." He said to bring her into a one-armed hug before going inside with Lucy and Meredy falling in line.
"So how was the job, dad?"
"A lot easier than the century quest!" He pointed out his missing arm.
Gildarts was smart and took Natsu's advice.
Because of that, he only lost his left arm this time.
"I wish you wouldn't dress like that," he used to her bikini top."
"How else am I going to get the down-low with many of my contacts?"
He couldn't come up with an answer, so He just walked up to the Makarov to give his report.
"I take it the job went well, Gildarts?"
"Yep," that's when he noticed he favorited dragon slayer with his wife by his side.
Walking over the, then he gave his hello "sup Gildarts wondering when you get back."
"I got lucky this time, unlike my previous quest," he said, rubbing the back of his neck with his real arm.
"At least it didn't cost me anything this time, that reminds me" he goes up to them and whispers, "I'm surprised you don't have little one of your own yet, or are you just hiding it from everyone."
Both dragon slayer and mate blushed like crazy before looking away.
This got laughs all around as I didn't take a genius to figure out why they were blushing.
In fact, a lot of people were wondering why a little one was around.
But many were quick to put that aside for the time being.
"So you're the gildarts to hear about." This time it was Ur to ask.
Gildarts' eye nearly popped out of his head at the sight of this beautiful woman before him.
Natsu gives him a brief rundown on who and why Ur is here.
The two quickly found a booth to themselves, hoping to hide away from the looks they were all giving them.
it was then they noticed the blushing faces of Bisca and Alzack.
it was clear to everyone they liked each other but neither was willing to speak.
as fun as it was to watch them the Dragennl traded glances.
they walked Bisca going with Ultear and Alzack with Natsu.
Ultear dragged her to a secluded corner of the guild.
"what is it ultear?"
"I'm gonna be straight, its clear you an Alzack like eachother...alot"
"what would make you say that" She denied.
She holds up her left hand, showing off her wedding ring "women to women, there are times where we have take charge," they look to see Alzack looking frantically for her.
"ok I admit it, I do like-no love him," she said in defeat.
"now if he can't find the confidence, you know what you'll have to do right?" she said rhetorically.
"Yes"
"good Natsu can't hold him off any longer" she let her go meet up with Alzack.
When she finally caught up to him they glanced at each other before their blushes intensified.
And to make matters worse, Ultear had a sinister smile aimed at them.
That not all Natsu had his arms wrapped around her waist, pretending to be asleep.
Right now, Ultear was setting in his lap, resting her head on his chest.
They look to them only to blush even more.
"Bisca alzack!" Ultear said just loud enough for them to hear.
he whipered into her ear, "glad we get to see this little gem earlier than last time."
Natsu and ultear shared an evil grin.
And of course, Bisca and alzack were quietly observing the two both with blushes of their own.
After a few hours, they came out of hiding to see Gray showing Juvia how to eat what looks to be a Desert burrito.
Thankfully nothing major happened with the following days as Natsu was too preoccupied with the anima.
It was two days before anima will strike.
Luck would have it, Mystogan was in town.
He didn't have to hide his identity this time; both were in Makarovs office right now.
"So what brings you two to me?" he was curious why the two asked to meet him privately.
"You can feel it, can you, gramps!" Natsu said with a severe expression as he was backed up by mystogan with the same face.
With a sigh, "yes, I figure that what I felt considering what you told everyone after defeating Laxus."
"I know this will be hard to accept...but we can't tell everyone what is going on. Natsu started.
"If we did, it could cause major panic, and who knows how many would get hurt trying to get out."
"Don't forget when we bring everyone back, they could get hurt if they stick around here." Natus finished.
"I take it, time is of the essence?"
"Yes"
"What about Ultear kinana and Levy? I don't want to imagine their reaction to them being sucked away."
"I'm working on it?"
"Just be careful, ok!"
"No problem," they said in unison.
When they left to meet outside away from prying ears.
"Something has been bothering me for a while now."
"What is it?"
"I know Levy was sucked up last time. Why didn't Gajeel freak out when it happened the first time."
"He did" Mystogan gives him a questioning look in his eyes.
"I talked to him about it afterward."
"And?"
"You forget he had more restrained than me in the old timeline, and we guys aren't the best when it comes to feelings regarding love!"
Mystogen let out a chuckle at this in understanding, "that explains a lot."
"If your universe is anything like how did things go with Erza Knightwalker?" he said with a sly grin.
Mystogan just looked away, getting a chuckle from Natsu "it's ok you don't have to tell me," Mystogan let out a sigh of relief.
A curious expression took over Natsu's face, " what is it, Natsu?"
"If memory serves, Panther Lilly was the leader of the first magic warfare unit or division. I'm wondering who took his place, assuming there will be four of them."
"Maybe panther lily knows?"
"I'll have to ask him when I get the chance."
"What about the girl? What will you do to spare them from the anima?"
"I was talking to Igneel about this. He said our best bet would be to flood them with dragon slayer magic to keep them from being sucked away."
"I hope it works."
"I hope so, too, and I'll make sure we don't leave just yet if we want to use our magic."
"Good"
Natsu called up Loki real quick. "What is it, master?"
"What is the name of that clock spirit?"
"Don't worry, He'll be on standby."
"Good"
On his way to the girls, Natsu remembers his chat with Mystogan a few years back on what he did with Edolas.
The story goes the people learned to embrace simple lives
like those of earthland who don't have magic.
Turns out mystogan coming to Earthland was twofold.
On the one hand, he closed the anima one after another, stoping the tyrant king.
And spending so much time here taught him how people live happy lives without magic.
That made it easier on him, It was tough, but they made it through.
He tracked them down and told them to be at the dragon's den tonight.
When they asked why he said he'll explain tomorrow.
As the day continued to grow, Natsu could feel the anima getting stronger.
The next day
All the slayers, Exceeds, and the girl stood at the edge of town as a rain cloud started forming.
"Why are we here, Natsu?" Levy asked
He pointed to the sky as the clouds started swirling.
"I already told the others, but that cloud is an anima, it's too big for Mystogan even with my help to close."
Just as they were about to ask, the look in his eye told them to shut up.
He walks behind Ultear, she tilted her head to the side only for Natsu to bite down at the base of her neck.
His whole body started glowing red before Ultear glowed red as well.
"This should protect you from the anima." he looks both girls in the eye before glancing at Gajeel and Cobra."
"Sorry if this hurts, Levy."
"Samer for me."
"It's ok," they said in unison before they bit down on them.
Then Natsu wrapped his arm protectively around her as he covered both of them in the same glow red glow.
Gajeel followed suit with a green glow on his and Cobra with a maroon one.
And just in time, as in a matter of moments, the bright light flashed all over Magnolia, absorbing everything in sight.
When the dust cleared, all that was left was a bleak wasteland that was the city of Magnolia, home of the Fairy tail guild.
Thankfully the transfer in magic did the trick as all three girls were still with them.
Ultear put her hand to her choker, letting out a sigh of relief.
Her mother was still with her.
A small flash was seen coming from the lacrima, confirming her words.
"You three all right," he looks to the three young slayers.
"We're doing just fine, Niichan!" the bluenette chirped with nods from her teammates.
"Now we gotta find Mystogan. He should be around here somewhere."
After about half an hour, Mystogan finally popped up out of the dust.
"It seems your effort to protect them paid off!"
"You can say that again," he said, rubbing the back on his neck, getting chuckles all around.
Suddenly without warning, Horologium popped up before releasing lucy,
"What happened?" she said with a daised look in her eye.
A few moments later, she gathered her wits together to see the others who made it out.
"What happened?"
Natsu gave everyone a brief rundown on what was going on and why they didn't tell everyone.
"One more thing, I'm sorry to say this, but Levy and Kinana, I want you to stay here."
Gajeel and Cobra were rightfully pissed off at the nerve of him.
"Guys, it's fine," Levy shouted, snapping the two out of it.
"Unlike the rest of you, neither of us are particularly skilled fighters. We'd just be in your way if we went with you," Levy started, and Kinana finished.
Neither of them could deny the truth that their mates just unloaded on them.
"What are you going to do then?"
"They'll stay with me while work on reversing what happened"
"And the rest of us?" Lucy added.
"We have no choice but to go to Edolas if we want to make sure this doesn't happen again," Natsu answered.
"All of you will need to take one of these," he held out a bottle of pills for them.
"What do they do?"
"This will allow you to use your magic in edolas, but be warned Magic is finite, so don't go wasting it" he gives each of them pills.
They all swallow it, Natsu tried to give it back.
"no, you might need them,"
"Why?" wendy asked.
"because you can reverse lacrimal back to everyone by hitting them with dragon slayer magic. it wouldn't put it past my father to display some of it to the masses." they all nodded in response
Natsu grabbed onto Ultear, "let's get out of here, Happy!"
"Aye, sir!"
Wendy and Rogue grabbed onto Lucy.
The others followed with their exceeds as a shot toward what remained of the anima.
"Mystogan, is there anything we can do to help you?"
"I want you to keep any travelers away while I work on reversing the spell, and one more thing you don't want to be here when that happens.
They nodded in response. It didn't take a genius to realize the danger of standing here when everyone in Magnolia comes back.
i would have added a mini arc like before but I decided against it as there were a number of things that happened right after Nirvana like Gildarts.
anyway that all, for now, hope you enjoyed let me know if you have a suggestion for this arc as I have to rewatch the arc and that will take time.
