Hey, I'm back with a new chapter. I hope you like it!

"Amanda! Amanda! Where are you hit? What happened?!" She hears and that pulls her attention away from the sky. She had been staring at it for what felt like hours but in reality, it has only been a few minutes.

"I-I don't..." is all she could say. She didn't feel any pain except in her back. She slowly moves each part of her body slightly, checking for any pain. There was none. She was fine. John made sure to check her over. There could be a wound and she just wasn't feeling it. Once he determines she's okay he puts his hand underneath her and sits her up. She can see the fear and tears in his eyes. To most, it may seem like love or a relationship but to them, it was just friendship. He had slowly become her best friend and she knew he had been terrified when he got the call.

"What is wrong with you?! You had direct orders from our captain to NOT go out on calls unless that were dangerous. What were you thinking?!" He yells at her causing it when to flinch slightly. His healing finally brought her back to reality.

"I'm fine!" She says back angrily. She understood where his anger was coming from but she didn't want to hear it. Adrenaline was still pumping through her body. She was still terrified. John is holding her back gently to try and help her to her feet. She stands and he looks at her with tears in his eyes.

"You could have been killed, Amanda?" He yells and grips her shoulders. She just pushes him away from her. She steps away and walks to an officer that was holding onto pistol. Pistol had taken down the suspect in record time. He wouldn't ever, willingly, let someone hurt Amanda. She takes the lease from the officer with John right behind her.

"Say something!" He yells.

"I am fine! I said that already." She screams back angrily. She knew she was already going to get yelled at by her captain, she didn't need it from him too. It was a dumb idea and she knew it. It was impossible to go back and change anything now.

"You're done working. I don't care. You're telling Captain what you did and you're taking time off. You cannot work in the field anymore."

"Just stop! I don't want to talk about it! It was a stupid idea. I know!" She yells. "I'm done. I'm going home. I'll be back in my old unit anyway." She just shakes her head at him and heads back towards the police cruiser.

"Amanda wait." He tries but she just ignores him and continues towards the truck. She pulls the keys out of her pocket and hops in. She starts the car and drives out back to the K-9 unit precinct. She returns the keys to the front desk officer and heads straight to the captain's office. Upon her arrival at the precinct, she was greeted by a few stares. It was more common now that she was pregnant. A pregnant woman in a uniform was very rare to see. Most women took maternity leave as soon as possible but she fought it.

"Captain...I'm sure you already know what happened. I just want to apologize. I want to do what was best for my team and for myself. I'm going to take maternity leave now. In sorry, Captain."

"Amanda, I'm not upset with you. I'm just scared for you. You make reckless decisions. You're a mother now. Everything isn't just about you anymore. You have to think about your child."

"I understand that now. I'm just upset that it took me so long to realize that. I'm not sure what I would do with Pistol. He's a great dog and I think he'll be very useful for someone else."

"No, keep him. He's good with you. He's clearly attached. You'll be back in a few months."

"But what about SVU?"

"I'm gonna be honest, it's not looking too good right now. Any violent or aggressive altercation with a superior is a serious deal. At this moment, they're not even considering it."

"Okay."

"Are you okay?"

"Yes. I'm going...to go home." She says and tries to respond as confidently as possible but she voice shakes. She knows he can hear. She was near tears but refused to let herself cry in front of him. He looks at her for a while and then dismisses her.

She claimed that she was fine. She wasn't. She isn't. Her head was killing her. When she and fallen, the back of her head was impacted the most. She had a splitting headache and nothing was making it better. She didn't tell anyone because she didn't want to seem weak but now, she wished she had said something. She felt sick and her vision was blurry. She felt like she was dying. Every part of her body was screaming out in pain. All she wanted to do was get into a hot bath but she couldn't even do that. She made sure not to tell anyone that she was hurt. She knew they'd make a huge deal out of it and send her to the hospital. She hated hospitals with a burning passion. She couldn't bear to see Arizona's face, not today.

Suddenly, Amanda's phone starts to ring and she groans at the sound. She answers.

"Hey. It's Olivia."

"Hi."

"I heard about what happened at work today. They told me that you were okay but I still wanted to check in on you. Noah also really wants to see you."

"Um...I don't know."

"Amanda. Please."

"Okay. Fine. You can stop bye."

"Okay...Don't be mad but I may have ordered some stuff for the baby online. I saw a bunch of cute room decorations and I didn't know if you were having a baby shower or not. I just had to."

"You didn't have to do that. Really. I'm not really in the mood to deal with anything today."

"Okay, well. I can do it myself and you can watch a movie or something with Noah. I just want to help out any way I can."

"Fine. I'm not doing anything."

"Good," Olivia says. Amanda hangs up and rolls her eyes. She was so tired of Olivia involving herself in everything. She felt so suffocated. She couldn't do anything with Olivia knowing or finding out. And any chance she could, Olivia would use Noah as a reason to see her. It was starting to get exhausting. She appreciated what Olivia was trying to do but this was overstepped a boundary. They weren't colleagues anymore and had no real reason to still talk to each other. Amanda just closes her eyes and tries to her in some rest before the invasion arrives.

Amanda woke up the loud sound of knocking on her

door. She instantly thought back to when Blake had knocked on the door and assaulted her. She stands up and walks to her door. She checks to see who it is, and just as she expected, it was Olivia and Noah. She unlocks and opens the door. Noah smiles and hugs Amanda.

"Hi, Manda." He says.

"Hey. How are you doing?"

"I'm good. I didn't have school today."

"Oh yeah? Really?"

"Nope. No school at all today. I got to play Fortnite all day with mom. She's not that good but it's still fun."

"I'm sure. What's the plan for today? Wanna watch a movie?"

"Yes! I want to watch monster's Inc."

"Okay. Come on. We can watch it while your mom does other stuff. Come on." Amanda says and walks to her room with Noah's hand. Noah climbs onto the bed and jumps right into the middle. Amanda smiles and sits on the edge of the bed. She grabs the remote and turns on Netflix. She starts the movie and then gets in the bed with Noah. She sits propped up on pillows and Noah lays right next to her.

"You're stomach is big." Noah says.

"I know."

"How long is it gonna take for the babies to come out?"

"4 more months."

"That's a long time. I don't want to wait that long. Can they come out sooner?"

"If they come out sooner they will get sick."

"Oh. I don't want them to get sick. I want them to stay in."

"Good."

"Amanda?"

"Noah. Watch the movie." She laughs. If she didn't put a stop to it, he would talk the entire movie. He leans his head on her shoulder as they watch the movie.

After a few hours, Olivia walks into the bedroom to see Amanda and Noah sleeping next to each other. Her arm was wrapped around Noah protectively. Olivia lightly taps Amanda who jolts awake in response.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you."

"It's fine. What's wrong?"

"The room is finished. They finished putting everything together."

"You had them put stuff together? Olivia, you really didn't need to do that. I can do things myself."

"Don't worry about it. Come look." Olivia says. Amanda stands slowly. The pain in her head was definitely lessened but still there. The nap helped. She follows Olivia into the guest bedroom and stops dead in her tracks. The room was the same color but it looked so different. There were two white cribs pressed along the back wall with a changing table separating them. There was a rocking chair, dresser, diaper pail, and bings in different shades of gray. The room was very modern with accents of brown wood all over. The rug was fluffy and white, matching the pictures on the walls. There we met any gender-specific colors and Amanda likes that. She would eventually add her own stereotypical pink colors to the room.

"Amanda?"

"It's beautiful. Thank you." Amanda says and starts to cry. She couldn't have ever put anything like this together on her own. Olivia laughs and hugs her.

"Don't cry. It's okay. It's what you deserve. You've been doing everything on your own lately. You don't have to anymore. I'm here for you and so is Noah."

"Thanks. This is really beautiful. I love it."

"I'm glad. I wasn't sure if this would be well reciprocated. I've been all over you lately and I'm sorry. I just like making sure that you're okay."

"I am. Really."

"If you say so," Olivia says, still not really believing her. "Anyway, do you need me to cook something for you? I don't mind."

"No. Honestly, I feel really nauseous. I still don't feel that well. My head really hurts."

"Are you okay? What happened?"

"I hit my head at work."

"And they sent you home? Did you tell them?"

"No, but I'm fine. It wasn't that hard."

"Maybe you should see a doctor be sure."

"No. I'm okay."

"You feel nauseous. Anything else? Blurry vision?"

"Yeah but I'm just tired. I just need to lay down." Amanda us suddenly feeling even worse than before. The pain in her head was now throbbing.

"Amanda?" Olivia says and watches Amanda. She can how pale the other woman is. "We're going to the hospital. You're not fighting me on this. I'll have someone pick Noah up she sees get there. Don't do this for me, do this for the babies."

"Okay," Amanda agrees. There was nothing more important to her in this world than he babies. They meant everything to her.

After about an hour in the hospital, Amanda was starting to feel anxious and worried. If there was nothing wrong they would have sent her home already. They did a head CT on her.

"Hey, Amanda. We have the results back from your CT. Apparently, you hit your head harder than you thought. You have a fractured skull."

"But...I'm fine."

"That may be true on the outside. You could have been, what we like to call a "talk and die" victim. Lucky you came in. Many people with serious head injuries have no clue and they end up downplaying it. You may have had further issues down the road."

"How...how do we fix this?

"It's not the worst case that I have ever seen. It's small but still causes for concern. It will heal on its own and I will start you on antibiotics to make sure that it stays that way. You and your babies are going to be just fine."

"How long do I have to stay here? I can go home today right?"

"No. We're going to keep you here overnight to be safe. This injury is recent and anything can happen overnight. We need to monitor your sleeping and make sure that the concussion won't cause any issues."

"Please. I'm fine. I don't like hospitals."

" Amanda, you're going to be having a baby in this hospital pretty soon. You're going to have to be here for a few days then. Think of this as conditioning."

"I don't want to be here."

"Amanda. I will have a nurse stay with if that's what you need but You need to stay here for your own safety."

"One night. That is it."

"Thank you." Arizona says. "I was worried that I would have to get restraints." She sees the look on Amanda's face and realizes the joke may have been a little premature. "Sorry, I'm joking. I'd never do that. You can always leave against doctor's orders but when we say we went you to stay, you should."

"Can I just...be alone? I don't feel good and I want to sleep."

"Sure. Well, leave." Olivia says and stands. She gently rubs Amanda's arm before leaving the room. Arizona follows suit. Amanda takes a deep breath and lays back. It was finally hitting her that she was going to have to do this all alone. She didn't want Olivia there when she gave birth and there was no one else she was comfortable with to see her like that. John was her friend but still, she didn't want him. Amanda pushes her thoughts and tries to sleep.

"You're done, detective!"

"For what?!"

"Don't play dumb. You've gone rogue. You could have cost us this case. When I signed you on, you said you could handle it! You said you would do whatever it takes."

"I'm not touching a child. I don't care."

"You're lucky they didn't kill right then and there. You're done. Pack your shit, and go back to New York. We don't need you."

"They don't know I'm a cop."

"Yeah, they do." The case handler says opening up a file and pulling out its contents. He shows a picture of Fin with writing all over it. There were words like "Die" and "Kill" written all over it.

"Fine. If you want me gone, I'm gone." Fin says and turns away from the desk.

"Wait." The man says reaching behind the desk. He grabs an envelope and hands it to Fin.

"This was sent by some woman named Olivia Benson. I was supposed to give it to you sooner but I forgot."

"You forgot?" Fin says slightly annoyed.

"Yeah. Sorry." The guy says and shrugs. "I'll have a car waiting for you when you go downstairs. I know I've been harsh but you're work is greatly appreciated here. Thank you."

"Yeah. Okay." Fin says and leaves the office. He heads past all of the working officers and goes outside. The bright sun his his face and squints. He stands around for a few minutes and then an unmarked police car pulls up. He gets in the backseat.

"You Fin?"

"Yeah. I'm headed to the airport."

"Got it. We'll be there in 20." Fin doesn't respond. He just stares at the big Manila envelope in his hand. He takes a deep breath before opening it. The first things he pulls out is a piece of paper. A note.

Hey,

We miss you here. The whole squad talks about you all the time. There is someone that misses you a lot more than we do though. Amanda. She hasn't been the same without you. I told her where you went, I couldn't keep it from her. She's pretty upset with me for sending you and I understand that. I just want you to know that she has a lot of people looking out for her. She was unfortunately sent to another unit because of an incident that happened but she seems to be doing well there. She told me that you didn't get to find out whether or not she was pregnant. She is. She's having twins. I'm sure she knows the gender by now but I don't know. We miss you here and we hope that are staying safe. I have some pictures that I wanted you to see. I hope you come home soon.

With love,

Olivia Benson.

Tears fill his eyes as he reads the note. It had been so long since he had heard from anyone in New York. He reaches into the envelope and pulls three pictures out. The first one was of Amanda sitting with Noah. She looked happy in the picture. He could see her stomach slightly protruding. He couldn't believe it. She was beautiful. She hasn't gotten so big while he was gone. The second picture was of Amanda crying for some reason, unbeknownst to him. I'm the third picture, it was Amanda with Pistol in a picture. She was in uniform. He hated that. It meant that someone else was watching her back and not him. She on the streets of New York while pregnant and it angered him. This wouldn't have happened if he had stayed.

"Are you okay?" The driver asks him.

"Oh. Yeah, I'm okay. Sorry, man. I'm just headed home to see my family."

"Where's that?"

"New York City. I work normally in Manhattan but I've been out here for a few months working on a case. My girlfriend is having twins and I'm just exited to be back."

"Congratulations. Kids are a blessing."

"Yeah, they are." Fin agrees and they ride in silence to the airport.

Hey, thanks for reading. I hope you like this chanted. Fins coming home! The moment we've all been with for. What are your predictions or recommendations for this upcoming chapter? I may take some ideas into consideration. Please read and review!
