When Taylor and Emily got back to base, they could smell food being cooked and Taylor smiled as she said, "That smells amazing! I can't wait to try what is cooking!" and Emily giggled a little as she replied,

"Well, someone is excited to have some dinner."

Katelyn then smiled as she saw Taylor and Emily walking back into base as she said to them, "Welcome back guys, Drew is cooking something tasty for us all!" and Emily smiled back at Katelyn as she replied,

"Thanks lass, what's the big guy cooking this time then?"

And Katelyn smiled as she said to Emily, "I'm not sure Emily, I tried asking him and he said we will have to wait and find out." And Taylor smiled as she took in the smell of the food cooking before Daniel came over to her and asked,

"S-so Taylor, d-did you and Emily manage to find that abandoned Eevee?"

Taylor smiled at Daniel as she held up Eevee's Poke ball as she replied, "Sure did Daniel, and Emily said I could keep it as it doesn't have a Trainer to go back to." Drew then called out to everyone as he said,

"Foods ready guys."

So everyone gathered around the campfire as Drew served up a bowl of soup to everyone, and Emily was sitting next to Taylor which got a few whistles from the boys in the group making both Emily and Taylor blush a little before Emily said, "S-shut up! It's not what ya think it is between me and Taylor, I umm just happened to notice there was a spare seat next to Taylor that's all. You guys are getting the wrong idea."

And as Taylor took a mouthful of her soup, she smiled as she said, "Wow Drew, this soup is amazing! It's almost as good as Brock's cooking!" and Drew laughed a little as he replied,

"Well, I'm glad you're enjoying your soup Taylor. But who's Brock anyway?"

Taylor then looked a little shocked as she said to Drew, "You don't know who Brock is? He was a rock type Gym leader who decided to travel with Ash and be a Pokémon breeder, and he is a really good friend of mine."

Once everyone had finished their meals, Emily sat there and said to everyone, "Today's mission was a rousing success and since Eevee doesn't have a Pokémon Trainer to go back to, I have decided that Taylor will look after it as its new Trainer, anyone disagree?" and it was silent around the campfire before Emily continued with a smile on her face, "Great, then it's settled, now let's all get some rest as it is getting pretty late."

One week later...

A week later and Taylor was out on a mission, this time it was to locate a missing Pokémon and reunite it with its Trainer and Taylor was curious as to what Pokémon she was meant to be looking for so she asked her partner Daniel, "So Danny, what Pokémon are we supposed to be looking out for anyway?"

Daniel then stood there as he looked at his notes before looking back at Taylor as he replied, "O-oh umm it says here in my notes Taylor that we should be on the lookout for a...ChimChar." and at that moment something inside Taylor snapped and she looked at Daniel as she said to him,

"ChimChar? Oh...how surprising, any ideas on where we might find this...ChimChar then?"

Suddenly, as they were walking Taylor and Daniel stumbled upon some members of Team Galactic as they said to them, "Well, well, well, look what we have here, it seems we have a couple of lost Trainers, maybe we should help them out...for a price." And Daniel tried to muster up some courage as he replied,

"A-and what price would that be exactly?"

Then before Team Galactic could even respond, Taylor threw her Poke ball in the air as she said, "Gale let's go I choose you!" and Starly appeared from its Poke ball flapping its wings above Taylor as it cried out, "Starly!"

And Daniel fumbled his Poke ball in his hand as he tried to follow Taylor's lead as he said, "S-Shinx, I choose you!" and Shinx appeared from its Poke ball in front of Daniel and Taylor held her Poke Dex over it as it said,

"Shinx, the flash Pokémon. When it senses danger, the hairs on its body light up and it runs away, leaving its opponent dazed."

Taylor then called out an attack as she said, "Gale, use steel wing!" and Starly nodded its head as it charged forward with its tiny wings becoming metallic like, before it slammed into the Team Galactic member's Golbat knocking it flying into a nearby wall.

Daniel then followed up with his Pokémon as he said, "Shinx, u-use spark!" and Shinx nodded its head and charged forward towards the Team Galactic member's Croagunk slamming into it with its electrical cheeks, sending it flying back across the road.

In the middle of the battle however, Taylor's Starly started to glow as it grew slightly in size and its wings became slightly bigger too before it then stopped glowing as it cried out, "Staravia!" and Taylor smiled as she said, "Awesome, my Starly evolved into a Staravia! Barry will be so jealous when he sees me next!" before she then called out another attack as she said, "Gale, use Steel wing one more time!"

And Staravia nodded its head as it charged towards the Team Galactic member's Golbat again with its metallic like wings, as it slammed into it again knocking it into a nearby wall once more, and without giving her opponent a chance to recover Taylor called out to her Pokémon again as she said, "Gale, use Aerial Ace!"

So Staravia nodded its head as it charged towards the Team Galactic member's Golbat that was stuck against the wall as its wings glowed, before it swooped down only to swoop up again slamming its wing into the unconscious Golbat. And the female Team Galactic member was on her knees begging Taylor as she said,

"S-stop it! You already knocked out my Pokémon! What else do you hope to accomplish!"

But Taylor wasn't listening as she replied to the female Team Galactic member, "Do you care when you hurt other people's Pokémon? Then why should I care when I hurt your Pokémon!" as Taylor's Staravia repeatedly slammed its wings before Daniel eventually stepped in as he said to Taylor,

"T-that's enough Taylor! Y-you don't have to go this far to prove your point!"

Taylor then let out a huff as she held out her Staravia's Poke ball as she replied, "Alright fine! Gale, return!" and Staravia disappeared back inside its Poke ball before she then turned to Daniel as she said to him, "What is your problem? Team Galactic hurt other people's Pokémon without mercy, so...so why should we show them any mercy?"

Daniel then looked at Taylor as he mustered up the courage to reply, "What is my problem? M-maybe the question we should be asking here is what is your problem Taylor? Why do you battle with so much brutality and ruthlessness? I-I used to enjoy watching you battle, but now? I-I don't even know if you are the same person anymore!"

Then Taylor scowled at Daniel with unbridled rage in her eyes as she roared, "You wanna know why I fight with so much aggression with no mercy, Danny? It's because nobody cared about how I felt when my Monferno was stolen from me by Jay! So...from now on, until I get my Monferno back, I don't feel like playing nice anymore, I tried being nice and playing by the rules but look where that got me, a silver contest ribbon! If you don't like the way I battle...then I suggest you stay out of my way Danny!"

Before Taylor then left Daniel in a sniffling heap on the floor, pulling the hood of her cloak over her head and walking into the darkness of the cave in front of her.

Meanwhile...

Ash and the others were closing in on Eterna city, stopping at a Pokémon centre to get their Pokémon healed up, when Nurse Joy said to them, "I'm terribly sorry, I'll be with you in a moment, the number of injured Pokemon I've had to treat has gone up over the last week or so." And both Ash and Dawn looked slightly confused as they said,

"That's weird, wonder who or what could be injuring so many Pokémon all of a sudden."

Brock stood next to Ash with a hand on his chin as he said, "Yeah, that does seem strange that so many Pokémon are getting injured recently. I'll see if Nurse Joy could use any help." And Dawn smiled as she said,

"Yeah, that's a great idea Brock! Meanwhile me, Ash and Barry will try to find some information as to why so many Pokémon are being injured all of a sudden."

So Brock went to see if Nurse Joy needed any help treating injured Pokémon, while Ash, Dawn and Barry started asking Trainers in the Pokémon centre what was going on, when a young Trainer looked up at Dawn as he said to her, "You haven't heard?" and Dawn looked a little confused as she crouched down to the young Trainer so that she was eye level with him as she replied,

"Haven't heard what?"

And the Young Trainer cleared his throat a little as he said to Dawn, "There's a Trainer going around challenging people to battles, and if you accept then your Pokémon become seriously injured, as I heard from some of my friends that this Trainer battles really roughly."

Dawn said thank you to the young Trainer as she stood there for a moment and thought to herself, "A Trainer going around and challenging other people to battles, but ends up injuring them badly? There's only one person I can think of right now who would treat Pokémon like that, Paul."

Barry then came over to Dawn as he asked her, "So, what did you find out? Anything useful?" and Dawn turned to Barry and smiled as she answered,

"Yeah, apparently there is a Trainer going around challenging other people to a battle, but they supposedly battle roughly that your Pokémon end up seriously injured. How about you?"

And Barry scratched the back of his head as he smiled at Dawn and replied, "Pretty much the same as you Dawn, do you think Paul is doing this?"

Back at G.T.S base...

Daniel slowly hobbled back to base alone, and Emily ran over to him as she asked him with some concern, "How'd the mission go lad? Did ya find the ChimChar?" and Daniel looked at Emily as he tried to hold back some tears as he replied,

"Y-yeah, I finished the mission Emily, b-but Taylor she..." as he trailed off and Emily looked him in the eyes as she said to him,

"What about Taylor lad? What happened?"

And Daniel sniffled as he looked at Emily again and replied, "I-I'm not sure what happened Emily, I-It's like Taylor's changed, b-because she brutalised some Team Galactic member's Pokémon, a-and then when I tried to confront her about it...I-I had never seen such anger and rage behind her eyes before a-and she said until she got her Monferno back from Jay she didn't feel like playing nice anymore, b-before she just then left me in a sniffling heap on the floor as she disappeared into a cave."

Emily then gave Daniel the tightest hug she could muster, before her expression changed to a more serious one as she looked him in the eyes once more as she said to him, "I'm just glad ya made it back to base alright lad...this is all my fault! I had a feelin' sending Taylor with ya was a bad idea and I was afraid somethin' like this would happen...go and get some rest lad, this is my mess to sort out."

Once Daniel hobbled over to his tent to get some rest, Katelyn came over to Emily as she frowned a little as she said to her, "You shouldn't blame yourself Emily, none of us could have predicted something like this would happen." And Emily looked a Katelyn with some tears building in her eyes as she dropped to her knees and replied,

"But this is my fault lass! Because of me, Taylor's likely gone on a rampage battling anyone she can find and seriously injuring their Pokémon! Maybe if I was a better leader I could have stopped this from happening, now everyone will think we are criminals for sure!"

Katelyn then crouched down to Emily and gave her a hug and held her tight as she said to her, "It's going to be alright Emily, you're a fantastic leader, and...if you're worried about Taylor that much then...you should try to find her and help her, she's a good kid but sometimes if our Pokémon we love gets stolen or taken away from us, then it can bring out the worst in us as we want nothing more than to have our partner back."

Emily then sniffled in Katelyn's arms as she wiped the tears from her face as she replied, "Yer right lass, I should try to find Taylor and help her, I should have seen Taylor was self destructing and tried to help her but...I'm gonna try me best to help her now, before she seriously injures someone or...herself."
