Total Drama: Enchanted
Chapter 13 - A Snowy Odyssey
It was night on Pahkitew Island. The 12 contestants slept peacefully in their cabins, but many were squirming in their beds. Something sudden was causing their sleep to be uncomfortable. Ginger woke up, covered up to her nose with the sheet, and shivering. She was freezing to death.
"Why is it so cold?" she asked herself, her teeth chattering.
Sonya had taken all of her clothes out of her suitcase and thrown them over her so she could sleep peacefully. Maggie was curled up on her bed. Ginger leaned out of the cabin window and saw that it was covered in snow outside.
"Girls, you have to see this!" she exclaimed with a smile. "It's snowed! There's snow everywhere!"
"Snow?" Karen questioned, leaning out the window as well. "I already said that it was very cold."
"But we are in summer!" Maggie said, snuggled into her blanket.
"It's a Christmas miracle!" Ginger said, convinced.
"December is still four months away," Sonya replied.
In the cabin of the Raptor Falcons they had also noticed how terribly cold it was that night. Diego, who is used to sleeping outdoors, entered the boys' side screaming.
"OTIS, THE SECOND ICE AGE HAS COME! I was aware that it was going to happen sooner or later, but I didn't think it would be THAT early. We must take refuge in a deep cave so as not to turn into ice cubes! The world is coming to an end! "
Otis shifted in bed, dead from sleep. There was a knock on the wall from the girls' side and Rita's tired voice.
"Hey monkey! Turn down the cacophony so I can rest my conscience!"
"Uhh… Me not speak your language!" Diego said with a raised eyebrow.
"Shut up, you won't let me sleep!"
Confessional
Rita - "I suppose Diego is like those crazy people standing on the street corners with a sign that says THE END IS NEAR, while shaking a bell just to get coins thrown at him."
Otis sat up on his bed and looked at his friend in disguised exasperation.
"I'm pretty sure it's not a new ice age."
"And how do you explain the snow!?" Diego asked.
"Two words: Chris McLean" Otis replied. "It's obvious that Chris is preparing a challenge in the snow."
Diego didn't seem convinced by Otis's explanation.
"Well, just in case I'll be keeping watch with this ice pick."
"Just let me sleep, Diego" said Otis, watching as Diego marched from one side of the cabin to the other like a soldier.
"Tomorrow will be a long day".
By daylight, the 12 contestants found that the entire island was still covered in snow. Some took this news with joy, and others with absolute horror.
"Snow day!" Ginger smiled, lying on her back in the snow, making snow angels. Seeing her, Lucas decided to do the same.
"Get up, both of you, before you constipate!" Hunter said threateningly. "We don't need you to become burdens."
"Don't you guys feel that it gets colder with every minute that passes?" Felix asked, hugging himself to keep warm.
"COWABUNGA!"
Everyone watched as Raymond was sliding through the snow on a board, before skidding to a stop in the snow, and covering Lucas with it.
Confessional
Raymond - "I love snow days! No school! No job! Just fun in the snow! I made a good decision to bring my snowboard."
Everyone had made the decision to go to the dining room to pick up their breakfasts, including the Falcons, since Diego had stayed the night in the cabin because of the snow. It was warm and pleasant in there.
"Good morning, snowmen!" Chris greeted, coming in from the kitchen, wearing a white fur coat, and drinking hot chocolate. "I assume you guys have already noticed the snowy weather."
"And how come it's not cold here?" asked Felix.
"Because we decided to heat the dining room" Chris explained. "In here we are a warm 19°, but the warmth is going to lose it soon, so I will give you 15 minutes to go and put on your winter clothes."
"What's the urgency? It's not THAT cold," Raymond said.
"Just because I paused the cooling so that you guys can get used to it a bit" said the host. "However, the temperature continues to drop as we chat here, until we try to simulate the North Pole itself."
"Then we should be at…" Rita spoke.
"Minus 15 degrees, specifically," Chris summed up.
"You're crazy! We will die of hypothermia!" Felix exclaimed.
"Yeah? Well, let's hope not," Chris said, shrugging. "Now go get your coats, and better hurry, before the snow ends up covering the cabins."
In the Rabbits cabin, on the boys' side, everyone had put on their winter outfits. Hunter was the first to leave, but when Raymond was going to leave as well, he is stopped by Felix, who closes the door, leaving him, Raymond, Lucas and Yoshi alone inside.
"Hey! What's your problem, buddy?" Raymond asked.
"I'd like to talk to all of you for a moment" said Felix. "Sit down".
The three boys sat on their own bunks, while Felix stood between them all.
"Okay folks, it's time to talk about strategy" Felix began, crossing his arms.
"Why did you wait for Hunter to leave?" Yoshi asked.
"It's more appropriate if we leave him out of this" replied Felix. "Listen, now that Nigel is gone we have confirmed our suspicions that the girls have allied, so we must do the same."
"Do you want to keep the boys alliance?" Raymond asked.
"We must pool our votes if we want a chance to survive even after the merge," said Felix, putting a hand to his chin in thought.
"So we try to vote for Hunter again?" Yoshi asked.
"No, that was the mistake Nigel made: he faced the beast unprepared" replied Felix. "Even if Nigel had managed to force the tiebreaker, it was very evident that he was still going to lose to Hunter. He no longer had salvation."
"So your plan is…" Lucas said curiously.
"We are going to vote for one of the girls and cut their numbers. I'm sure they are confident that they can meet us with their achievement yesterday, but I am not going to get crushed by some chicks."
"And why don't you include Hunter in this?" Raymond asked. "It would be good to have him on our side. That way we will have the advantage."
"Now that Yoshi has joined the alliance, and we have an odd number of members, Hunter has remained the wild card of the team. Besides, I don't want to risk angering him, I'd rather not have him around than have him as an enemy."
"Due to the current situation, Hunter has become a double-edged sword" Yoshi spoke, understanding the explanation. "It's a risky move trying to convince him to join forces. It would be like playing with fire."
"Exactly. None of us want him to hold a grudge against us and decide to ally with the girls to bring us down" Felix smiled. "We must vote for one of them to tip the balance in our favor."
The three boys nod their heads, determined to keep the alliance and survive the game.
However, at a safe distance, Hunter has been listening to them with his hearing improved. Hearing the boys' plan, he smirks.
Confessional
Hunter - "That's better! Finally those rats understood who's in charge here! ... Speaking of the voting, I was actually waiting for the tiebreaker to show Nigel who's boss, but I got the surprise that one of the boys have betrayed him. That made me form two theories: either the mole has made that decision, or the traitor was manipulated by the mole to make that decision ... Who is behind all this?"
After the secret meeting, Felix had left the cabin. On the way to the dining room, he bumps into Hunter.
"Watch where you walk!" Hunter growled at him.
"Excuse me, Hunter," Felix said, brushing the snow off himself. "I didn't see where I was going."
"It's okay, I guess," Hunter said, carelessly. "Where were you going? The challenge is about to begin."
"I was just going to the dining room to enjoy the heat" Felix replied.
"The girls are in the dining room," Hunter commented. "I don't like any of them, especially Maggie."
"Seriously?" Felix's face lit up. "She is a real bummer, she always goes around pretending to be so goody-goody, so much so that it makes me sick… As soon as we lose a challenge, I plan to arrange for her to be kicked off!"
"Interesting…" Hunter mused, with a smile. "I, if you want, I could help you this time."
"Don't tell me ..." Felix replied. "Heh, in the end it looks like you're going to be a great help."
Hunter winked his one good eye at Felix and headed toward the cabin. Felix continued on his way to the dining room.
However, Karen was spying on them from the cameras, inside the underground facilities of the island.
Confessional
Felix - "Ha ha ha ha ha! Having Hunter by my side to get rid of Maggie will be very useful. Although, seeing how defenseless the other team is, it seems to me that it will be a long time until we lose again ".
Hunter - "Poor innocent Felix ... I knew he would take any chance to kick the cowgirl out without a second thought. With yesterday's result, the girls could start to get a sense of confidence. I must crush those hopes before it's too late ".
Karen - "It seems that the boys will not give up so easily… Well, nevermind, with Lucas as my secret ally I have the majority of votes in my favor. Those fools have no chance against me."
The contestants were outside the dining room, even the ones wearing oversized coats freezing. There was a strong blizzard, and a huge fog. The only ones who did not suffer from the symptoms of hypothermia, despite not wearing warm clothes, were Otis and Diego.
"I always wanted an adventure in the snow!" Diego exclaimed, rolling over in the snow.
"How come you two aren't freezing?" Rita asked in surprise. "Diego, you're not even wearing shoes!"
"A survivor must adapt to any environment!" Diego smiled.
"The cold never bothered me" Otis replied, shrugging.
Confessional
Otis - "When I used to train for the boxing ring, I did it by hitting pieces of meat, inside a freezer. Besides, I'm also a blacksmith, and I work in a forge with real lava. That place is hotter than an oven. In short, I am used to very high and very low temperatures."
"Ok contestants, today's challenge is going to be very special" Chris explained. "I have two sleds there with which you must make a race to the other end of the snowy island. In the sleds there are seven boxes that you must transport. If a box is missing, or a member of your team does not arrive ... you are out! "
"Wow, it seems relatively easy" Sonya commented.
"But as always on this show there has to be a handicap" commented Chris.
"And what is it this time?" Felix asked rolling his eyes.
"You must pull the sleds!"
"Well forget it, buddy" Karen said. "I'd rather go without a vehicle than have to drag that sled at -15°."
"You can go without a sled, of course, but then… how are you going to carry the boxes?"
Karen frowns and groans in frustration.
"Ok, you guys take care of it from here" said Chris, getting on a snowmobile. "See you there if you don't die of hypothermia. Oh, and watch out for monsters, by the way."
"Monsters?" Ginger asked, shaking.
Chris sped off on his snowmobile while the 12 contestants just stood there. The two teams headed to their sleds to decide what to do.
"The best we can do is take the sled," Maggie said. "We are many, and it will be less effort to pull it. If not, as there are seven boxes, we can carry them in our hands, but the effort will be harder, and ..."
"Should I remind you who is in charge here?" Hunter growled at him. "Raymond, Maggie, Felix, Sonya and I will pull the sled. Yoshi will go up front to guard the grounds. Karen, Lucas and Ginger will stay on the sled to guard the boxes."
Felix frowns. He didn't want to pull the sled, much less with Hunter and Maggie as partners. He walks over to Ginger, who was cleaning the sled with a damp cloth, despite the extreme cold.
"Hey, Ginger, do you want to win $20?"
The three members of the Falcons were looking at their sled.
"What is the plan, captain?" Rita asked.
"Diego, you and I will pull the sled. Rita, you sit on the sled and watch that the boxes don't fall" said Otis.
"Aye-aye, captain!" Diego exclaimed, tying the rope around his body.
Hunter, Raymond, Maggie and Sonya tied the ropes around their bodies, but Maggie sees that Ginger did too.
"What are you doing, Ginger?" Maggie asked. "That is Felix's job."
"He and I swapped places" Ginger replied.
"Really?" Maggie frowns and turns to see Felix, who was settling into the sled. He notices Maggie's murderous look.
"Anything offered, pack mule?" Felix scoffed, seeing the rope tied around Maggie's waist.
"Why are you making Ginger do YOUR job?" grunted Maggie.
"I didn't force her. She agreed to change places with me for $20" Felix spoke defensively. "Besides, I'm doing her job."
"It's okay Maggie" Ginger spoke, trying to defuse the situation. "I have no problem doing this. Besides, Felix explained to me that he has problems with his back."
"It's true, Maggie," Felix added, with a melodramatic attitude. "My back has problems, and I'm worried that it might hurt if I try too hard. Do you want me to be in pain?"
Confessional
Maggie - "Actually yeah, that would be hilarious."
"Whatever. I'm just going to make something very clear to you, you liar bear" Maggie said with a threatening tone, as she stood in front of him. "I'm going to make sure there is justice here and I'll give you what you deserve."
"We'll see about that, pack mule," Felix said with a smile, not feeling intimidated at all.
The two girls return to the front of the sled, though Maggie was still annoyed at having to put up with Felix like that.
"Ginger, you don't have to believe that pompous kid's lies."
"I don't care Maggie. I'm fine, you didn't have to do that for me" Ginger said sincerely.
"Sure I do! I've always hated those snooty bullies" Maggie replied. "You don't have to do this if you don't want to."
"She has to!" Hunter growled at them from the other side of the sled. "She agreed to do the job. Now she has to do it, and if she doesn't want to, that's a shame."
"You can't force someone to do something they don't want to!" Sonya exclaimed, unable to avoid hearing the lawsuit. "No one should ..."
"Well I don't want to be in this torture, or pull this stupid sled, or hear your whining every day ... But I'm not complaining, am I?!" Hunter growled angrily. "The 20 dollars that Ginger received to pull a sled is the million dollars that I am going to receive for dealing with all of you, every day that this contest lasts ... I don't want to do it, but if I want the million, then I have to!".
And with that said, Hunter walks away and returns to his place. The two girls were frustrated by that. All the other contestants had heard that outburst and fell silent. Some even slightly nodded.
"Come on, friends! We must win the challenge!" Ginger spoke, trying to make them forget about the situation.
Maggie and Sonya sigh in surrender, and they go to their positions.
Confessional
Karen - "Hunter is right. I didn't want to come here, but I had to. I need to win this game, and I'll do anything for the million dollars."
Maggie - "I am very sorry for Ginger. She pleases others too much, pretending that it does not bother her. She needs to learn that she should not do what others tell her just to please them. I doubt very much that Felix cares for her despite to play along."
Everyone was ready to start the challenge.
"The ropes are securely tied, the boxes are secured, and the sled is not damaged at all," Rita said, making mental notes before beginning the journey. "You can start running now."
"Okay my friend!" Diego exclaimed enthusiastically. "Let's run!"
Otis and Diego began to run quickly, pulling the sled and Rita, who was standing at the time and ended up falling on the sled awkwardly. The other team froze.
"They are getting ahead of us!" cried Felix furious. He looks around on the sled and finds something that steals his attention.
The five pulling the sled are caught off guard when Felix whips a whip on them, as if they were real pack mules.
"Hey! You can't just…!" Maggie is silenced by another lash from Felix.
"Run!" exclaimed Felix impatiently.
"It would be easier-" said Raymond, pulling the sled. "-if you help us instead of sitting there barking orders."
"Nah, I don't think so" said Felix with a smile, as he sat on the sled checking that the boxes did not fall, while continuing to lash the runners with the whip.
Confessional
Hunter - "Ok, once I take care of the girls, Felix will be my next prey."
They had been doing a real race below zero for a long time. The Raptor Falcons were in the lead, at full speed thanks to the efforts of Otis and Diego. The Rabid Rabbits were last at a slow pace: Raymond, Ginger, Sonya, and Maggie were getting tired, and Felix, Karen, and Lucas were sitting in the sled.
"I can't figure out how they're beating us," Maggie said, panting. "We are nine against three!"
"Too bad only half our team is useful," Hunter commented, giving Felix a murderous look. "Also, Otis and Diego are much stronger and more resilient than us in this climate, which puts us at a disadvantage."
Everyone is silenced when Felix whips the whip again.
"Stop doing that!" Maggie yelled at Felix.
"I would love to, but someone needs to motivate you to go faster."
Maggie ignores him, and sees Ginger looking back, specifically at the sled, like she's thinking.
"What are you thinking, Ginger?" she asked.
"Oh, nothing important," Ginger said, turning to face the front.
"I know that look, friend," Maggie said. "You have an idea in mind, and you want to share it."
"If you have a plan, just say so" Sonya spoke. "Any suggestion is accepted."
"Ok… do you have some body lotion, Sonya?"
"Yes, it helps me a lot with my style" Sonya smiled.
The Falcons raced through the snow. The thick fog prevented them from seeing the road, but that did not prevent Otis and Diego from running, dodging all kinds of obstacles, thanks to Diego's instructions.
"Guys! Are you sure where we're going? You don't even have a map!" Rita yelled, clinging to the sled tightly from how much it shook.
"Easy, my friend, I know this place like the back of my hand!" laughs Diego.
Otis squints his eyes and sees where Diego is leading them.
"You are leading us off a cliff!" Otis exclaimed.
"Time to take a shortcut!" Diego jumped off the cliff and the three of them fell, sliding along a huge block of ice.
"WE'RE GONNA DIE!" Rita and Otis yelled hysterically.
The Rabid Rabbits were using Ginger's tactic: They had smeared the blades of the sled with Sonya's body lotion, which made the job of pulling the sled a lot easier.
"Keep it up, team. At this rate we can…" Hunter spoke up, but was interrupted by a roar that froze everyone to their blood.
"What was that?" Raymond said nervously.
"It sounded like a polar bear or something," Sonya said.
"A polar bear!" Lucas was scared. "Hunter, you will protect us, right?"
"Calm down, all of you!" Hunter growled. "It's probably just one of those silly animals on this island, like Fang or Scuba Bear."
"Knowing Chris, he sure brought real polar bears for this challenge" stated Karen.
"Well, if there are polar bears, I'm going to enjoy hunting them" Hunter smiled.
"Hunting polar bears is illegal," Sonya said.
"And you don't know how much it annoys me!"
"I'll go check the surroundings, to be sure" Yoshi said, stepping into the mist, disappearing from sight.
"Hey, what is that?" Karen asked, pointing into the mist.
They all see silhouettes approaching them. The fog disperses, revealing that the silhouettes belonged to Diego, Rita, and Otis.
"Where did you guys come from?" asked Felix.
The three boys had crashed into a tree and their sled had been destroyed. They were dedicated to loading the boxes due to the freezing weather.
"Did you guys have an accident?" Karen was amazed.
"Yeah, let's say Diego got a little distracted," Otis said, rubbing his head.
"I just saw a UFO!" Diego confessed happily.
"It was the sun, Diego, I won't repeat it to you more times" Rita told him.
"It was so shinny..."
"Hey, Yoshi takes a long time to come back, huh?" Raymond commented.
"What if the bear ate it?" Lucas said, scared.
"Then he shouldn't be hungry anymore and that thing will leave us alone" Felix replied.
They all stared at him, frowns. Felix noted the visual daggers.
"What? It's survival of the fittest."
"Remember, Chris warned that we will lose if we don't all get back together," Hunter said. "Lucas, go find him!"
"Me!?" the boy whimpered. "Why do not you go?"
"Relax, I'll go myself" Diego said happily, going the same way that Yoshi had taken, while the others looked at him scared. When the fog made it impossible to see the boy's silhouette, everyone could hear, horrified, a cry of pain.
"That beast caught Diego!" Ginger yelled in fear.
"We have to do something!" Karen exclaimed, scared.
"What do you propose?" Maggie said.
"RUN AWAY!" the girl got on the sled, taking the whip from Felix and whipping it to get everyone to start pulling the sled.
Just then, another roar was heard above them. They all turned and saw a beast several meters tall with white hair. The Abominable Sasquatchanakwa of the Snows.
Otis and Rita picked up their boxes at top speed and threw them onto the Rabbits' sled and started pulling it with the help of Maggie, Raymond, Hunter, Sonya, and Ginger. Felix, Karen, Rita, and Lucas were sitting on the sled, making sure the boxes didn't fall off.
"That must be what Chris was talking about… The monster!" Ginger reasoned.
"We are all gonna die!" Lucas cried.
The monster had gotten close enough to catch Felix and lift him into the air, several meters high.
"Let go of me, you filthy beast! I have lawyers! I will sue you and you will belong to me…!" the blond threatened, but the monster began to run in the opposite direction, with him in his arms.
"He's taking Felix," Karen said, not caring.
"We should do something?" Maggie asked.
"I'm already doing something…" Karen said, pulling out a magazine.
Confessional
Karen - "Finally a break from that pompous kid. I wasn't going to miss an opportunity like that. I think it's a good idea to vote for him next time ..."
Hunter - "Well, better for me. That boy is crazy, so I don't think anyone will miss him."
Maggie - "I know it is very cruel to leave a boy at the mercy of a monster, but then I began to remember all the annoyances that I had to endure with Felix, and that feeling of guilt vanished completely."
The two teams had already been moving through the snow for almost an hour. Luckily for everyone, the monster never returned, and the fog had lifted, revealing the road again. However, everyone was still dismayed at having lost Yoshi, Diego and Felix.
Right now, they were all walking on a large valley of ice, slowly so as not to slip. This time, everyone was dragging the sled, as the weather was now much more tolerable. As they walked, Lucas felt a strange sensation on his feet. He lifts one foot and sees that the snow seemed to be melting rapidly.
"Hey guys, my feet get sweaty" said Lucas, trying to explain the situation to his teammates.
"Do we have to find out about all the things your body does?" Hunter growled.
"Just ignore him. It's one of those silly comments he always makes" Otis told Hunter.
"Not seriously!" Lucas was alarmed. "My feet are burning!"
Suddenly, everyone hears a rumble and felt a brief tremor, causing them to stop with concern.
"Tell me that was your stomach" Otis told Lucas.
Hunter shuts them all down, leaving them deadly silent. Out of nowhere, the silence is broken when a huge geyser explodes behind them. They all scream in horror and run away.
Many more geysers explode around them, opening cracks in the ice, which then fall into the abyss. Everyone watched in horror as all the ice around them fell to reveal that they were crossing a large lava river.
Confessional
Sonya - "Lava! Seriously! Chris is going to end up graduating in 'Free Evil' with all honors."
"EVERYONE RUN!"
They all start running, dragging the sled quickly. The ice kept falling, leaving only a rather narrow bridge where the contestants crossed, but it was melting rapidly.
Most manage to cross quickly, and they also managed to save the sled, but Lucas, Otis and Hunter were still missing. As they crossed, Hunter stayed behind everyone to make sure the bridge didn't collapse from behind and take them all away.
As he was going to keep moving, suddenly part of the ice bridge collapses, leaving him alone on a small ice shelf that was about to fall, while geysers continued to explode around him.
"Come on! Follow in my footsteps!" Lucas said, trying to run towards the safe zone, but it turns out that he was running in the same place without moving forward, due to the slippery ground.
"I would if you were moving!" Otis yelled in exasperation, watching as Lucas slipped and fell to the ground exhausted.
Hunter runs and takes a great leap, managing to land on the bridge with the two boys.
"Wow, I wish I could jump like that" Lucas said in amazement.
"Wish granted!" said Otis, who kicks Lucas hard, sending him flying into the safe zone with the others. He falls on the ice and slides until he hits his head against a rock.
"Come on! Move faster!" Hunter yelled, watching the geysers explode around him.
"The bridge is too unstable!" Otis exclaimed. "It's going to fall if we step on it!"
All the others watch worried and nervous as the two boys were about to fall.
"I do not want to see!" Ginger exclaimed, covering his eyes, but then uncovering one to see.
Otis rushes and jumps over the bridge, as it collapses and falls, when he manages to reach the other side safely, leaving Hunter alone again on another ice shelf.
Hunter didn't want to admit it, but he was a little worried, seeing that the distance for this jump was longer than the previous one, while the geysers threatened to incinerate him, and the platform was already about to fall.
He gains impulse and jumps again, managing to hold on to the edge of the cliff, but unable to get up due to the slippery terrain, as his hands began to slip and loosen.
Otis sees Hunter in danger, so he returns to help him, despite the area becoming unstable and threatening to collapse as well.
He pulls the old mace out of his tool bag that he used in the gladiator challenge, which at this point was retracted to be portable. He presses a button, and the mace turns back into a metal hand.
He slowly walks towards Hunter with his staff extended, but the ice was starting to crack. He manages to get close enough to Hunter, who reaches out his hand to catch him.
However, the ice breaks, throwing Hunter into the river, but Otis manages to catch him with the cane in time. He picks it up and catches Hunter in his arms.
"I didn't need your help," Hunter clarified with a frown.
"My mistake" smiled Otis, dropping the boy on the ice.
"Are you both okay?" Sonya called, going to help the two boys.
"Easy, we're good" said Otis. "Right, Hunter?"
Hunter just nods, crossing his arms and remaining silent.
"What a relief" Sonya smiled. "Now we must ..."
Suddenly the ice cracks again. Everyone panics and tries to flee, but the geysers explode again, completely surrounding them, as the ice falls and reveals that they were totally surrounded by lava, with no escape.
"We're trapped!" Ginger yelled.
"What do we do now!?" Raymond asked.
"We are all gonna die!" Lucas exclaimed.
The ice breaks, dropping them all into the lava pool below them. They all close their eyes, waiting for their end, but one of them made a hasty decision.
"I have no choice," Rita muttered, as she removed a glove, revealing the teleportation device. She presses the screen and quickly sets the portal coordinates.
She shoots the rays downward, opening a massive portal between them and the lava pool. All of them and the sled enter and are sucked into the portal, which closes shortly after.
Chris and Chef were watching the contestants from a television when they fell into the lava, and the screen went static.
"It's official, I've lost the boys" Chris said, concerned. "Do you still have the escape bags and the fake passports, Hector?" he asked Chef Hatchet.
Suddenly, they both watch as the portal opens above them, while the contestants crash down on them.
"What happened?" Hunter growled, trying to get up, but he was slightly dizzy.
"I feel like my intestines are backwards," Lucas said, just as dizzy too.
"I think I'm going to puke," Raymond said, holding his stomach in pain. "It's like we just traveled through a blender."
"Where did you all come from?" Chris said, clearly surprised.
No one knew how to respond. Everyone was still just as confused and surprised that they had been saved from certain death. However, some remembered the situation from which they had miraculously been saved, and gave Chris a murderous look.
"Lava?! Were you really going to sink us in lava?!" Sonya exclaimed angrily.
"What? You were complaining you were freezing to death" Chris smiled. "Chill a little girl."
Confessional
Rita - "It's like that selfish host did it on purpose to force me to use my teleportation device in public."
Chris McLean - "Should I tell everyone that the lava river was just hot sauce? ... Nah."
"You tried to kill us!" Maggie exclaimed.
"And until now have you noticed?" Chris asked with a smile. "Anyway, it's time for the next part of the challenge!"
Just then the Sasquatchanakwa of the Snows appeared, dressed as Santa Claus and carrying a huge sack.
"Aaahhh! It's the monster!" Ginger yelled. "The one who took our friends!"
"That's not a monster…" Chris said with a smile.
"HOW IS THIS JUNK OPENED!?" growled a hoarse female voice from within the monster.
The monster released steam from its body, as it split in half, revealing that it was just a robot, controlled by a girl with his hair in a ponytail, a mole next to his lips, and a single eyebrow. She was wearing a blue gym outfit and white athletic socks.
"The monster was just a robot" Chris explained. "And our special guest today controlled it: Eva!"
"That explains how angry and wild the monster looked," Raymond scoffed.
"What?" Eva growled, getting off the robot and going over to Raymond, cracking her knuckles. "I'll teach you not to make fun of me!"
"Alright Eva, you can go now" Chris said.
"I'll be gone as soon as I'm done giving this bag of rotten meat its due" Eva growled, ready to attack Raymond, but Chef fires a tranquilizer dart at her, knocking the girl down to rest quietly, while the interns take her away.
"Alright contestants, it's time to go back with the challenge" spoke Chris. "I hope you guys have brought all your boxes, because you are going to need them now."
"Wait! If that monster was Eva, what happened to our teammates?" Otis asked.
Yoshi, Diego and Felix came out of the bag that the monster was carrying, totally unharmed.
"That was fun!" Diego exclaimed with a smile.
Felix glares at Chris. "I'll sue you for this, McLean."
"Sorry buddy, but your contract won't allow it" Chris smirked.
Confessional
Maggie - "Oh man, I really enjoyed the time Felix was away… Oh well, it was fun while it lasted."
Felix - "Chris is crazy ... Every time he tries to kill us in bloodier ways. But in our contracts it says that we accept it with Christian resignation, so I can't complain ... I can't complain because it puts it in my contract."
"What do you mean by second part of the challenge?" Karen asked.
"You can open your boxes now," said Chris.
Everyone takes the boxes out of their respective equipment and opens them, revealing to be 3D puzzle pieces of sculptures.
"The next part of the challenge is to rebuild a sculpture with the pieces that you transported through this freezing climate," explained Chris. "The first team to finish their puzzles will win immunity."
They all gathered up their boxes and took out the pieces. The two teams quickly began assembling their sculptures. Turns out they were reassembling the same sculptures they had used on World Tour, and later on All-Stars.
The Falcons had slight problems putting together their sculpture, the Statue of Liberty, due to the structure, causing some pieces to fall off by accident. The Rabbits, on the other hand, found it much easier to assemble their sculpture, Big Ben, because it was a simple tower.
"Only one piece is missing!" Sonya exclaimed enthusiastically.
"Uhm, guys…" Karen said worriedly. "Those were all the pieces."
"What do you mean, those were all?" Hunter growled. "It's supposed to be seven pieces."
"But we only have six here," Maggie commented. "Don't you think ...?"
"We were trying to survive all day, we didn't pay much attention to the sled," Raymond said. "We may have lost one of the boxes on the way."
"Finished!" exclaimed the three members of the Falcons, revealing their fully constructed sculpture.
"Victory goes to the Raptor Falcons, surprisingly for the second time in a row!" Chris announced.
"Just great!" Felix yelled, glaring at his team. "I leave you all alone for a few minutes, and you ruin our chance to win! I'm on a team full of idiots!"
Maggie groans furiously and rolls up her sleeves, ready to deal fists.
"Rabid Rabbits, see you at the elimination ceremony again tonight."
Confessional
Hunter - "Yes, Felix is a nuisance, but… I have to keep the pact with him. Once we defeat the girls, Felix is going to fall."
Karen - "Yes, I purposely dropped the box. I need my team to lose this time, so I can get rid of a specific person."
Maggie - "Felix, you can say goodbye, because we will all vote for you."
Felix - "I don't care if what happened was sabotage. The whole team is going to pay for their inefficiency and ineptitude. Right now, I'll get rid of the biggest annoyance that continues to haunt me: Maggie."
Night had fallen. The Rabbits had shown up at the elimination ceremony. Everyone was exhausted from the challenge.
"Welcome back Rabbits," Chris greeted, with his usual plate of marshmallows. "I wonder if you are the ones who will come here every night from now on."
The nine contestants glared at him.
"You know the rules, when I call your names, you will receive a marshmallow that ensures one more day of stay on the island. Whoever does not receive it, will leave the competition, and will not be able to return ... ever."

They had all received their marshmallows, leaving Felix and Maggie last.
"Felix. Maggie. You two were the only ones who received votes" Chris commented. "And like last time, it was a close vote."
Felix crossed his arms, fed up, glaring at Maggie, who glared back at him.
"Thanks to another closed vote, we are going to do the same as before: read the votes, since I love suspense."
"Well, we have ... a vote for Felix"

"One vote for Maggie"

"Maggie"
Felix got up and swatted his marshmallow from Chris, before rubbing it in Maggie's face.
"I'm sorry, Maggie. It's over for you, you lost, you're finished" Felix said with a smile. "As Chris says: Time to go."
"What? Did you guys really save him over me?" Maggie was surprised, looking at the boys.
"Maggie, you have been eliminated from Total Drama: Enchanted. It's time you left the competition… forever."
Confessional
Karen - "After thinking about it a bit, I decided to get rid of Maggie. Felix is irritating, but for now he will be more useful to me than Maggie. Of course, instead of taking a chance and voting for her, let Lucas play the boys' game."
Maggie was already in the Sling of Shame. The whole team was present, when the girls said goodbye to the cowgirl.
"Sorry this happened to you, girl" Sonya told her.
"Easy, friend, everything will be fine" said Maggie. "I just want you to kick Felix's ass for me."
"My pleasure!"
"Yeah, yeah, cut the crap!" Felix said, separating them. "Get lost already!"
"Bye, friends! See you in the finale!" Maggie said goodbye. "And Felix… I hope you rot in defeat."
Chris pulled the lever, shooting Maggie through the air, away from the island and out of the game. Then he turns to the camera.
"And our western cowgirl has sailed south. Who will be next in the losers gallery? Find out next time, in…"
"Total! Drama! Enchanted!"
Felix was happily returning to his cabin, humming a song with a smile. He throws himself onto his bunk and pulls out his rule book, which he had finally repaired after it fell down the waterfall. He smiles, knowing that, with that book in his hands, he has power over everyone else in the competition, which is why it was very important to him.
He opened it and, astonished, saw how each and every one of the pages were stained with Chef Hatchet's secret sauce, making the book unreadable. Felix lets out a gasp of horror when he sees a small note taped to the cover of the book.
Enjoy my farewell gift, Felix.
With love, Maggie
"NOOOOOOOOOO!" Felix's cry of anger, fury and despair flooded the entire island.
CONTESTANTS
Raptor Falcons: Diego, Rita, Otis.
Rabid Rabbits: Felix, Ginger, Hunter, Karen, Lucas, Raymond, Sonya, Yoshi.
Eliminated: Bianca (Raptor Falcons), Isaac (Raptor Falcons), Erika (Raptor Falcons), Chantal (Rabid Rabbits), Tony (Raptor Falcons), Clover (Raptor Falcons), Agatha (Raptor Falcons), Julien (Raptor Falcons), Pearl (Raptor Falcons), Nigel (Rabid Rabbits), Maggie (Rabid Rabbits)
And half the season ends with Maggie's departure. I really had no plans for her, and her rivalry with Felix was something that came to mind during this season's broadcast. After all, I write this on the fly.
However, Maggie's elimination was not in vain, since thanks to her, Felix has lost his much appreciated rulebook. How will he continue now that he has lost his most powerful weapon?
Speaking of Felix, boy did he behave very badly in this chapter. It is quite surprising that he was not eliminated despite his cruel behavior. Even Hunter supported him, although he clarified that he will be his prey later. Although he is cruel and cold, Hunter is a man of his word, and he always keeps his promises.
The challenge was yet another recycling, this time of the Yukon and Paris challenges. Even the scene with the whip was similar to the scene of Heather whipping Courtney with the whip. That scene always made me laugh.
However, there is one scene that is a huge reference to an animated movie. Can you guess what it is? If you can't, then I'm surprised.
Here we already had a moment for everyone on screen. Now that there are few contestants, everyone can start getting attention to get to know them better. We are getting closer to the merger, so I'm sure everyone already has a favorite that they support to win.
Raymond's catchphrase "COWABUNGA" was also another reference. I'm sure anyone can guess.
Eva's brief cameo was something that was not planned. Originally it was going to be the Chef who was in that robot, but I changed it just for fun. I hope you enjoyed Eva's cameo, even if it went unnoticed.
Regarding the teleportation device, Rita was a bit careless and had to reveal her device to the cast. I'll tell you something, that matter will be dealt with in the next chapter.
Now, instead of the classic round of questions, I want all of you to answer a question in your reviews.
Who is your favorite character so far?
Is it one that is still in the game, or one that has already been eliminated?
Who do you support to win?
Well, that would be all from me, and we'll see you next time, here, in the next chapter. Bye.
