The smile remained plastered on his face no matter how hard he tried. Harry Potter was for once just very happy. He could act like a child, well because he was, and his political moves seemed to be going flyingly well.

Harry was enveloped in a bone crushing hug by all of his close friends. The other Hogwarts students skirted nearby, like fire drawn to him, but too afraid to touch. Or perhaps simply content watching. For once Harry didn't even mind it, he would fix it soon enough.

Hermione was the first to speak "Harry that was.."

He grinned "I know"

Hannah jumped "Why didn't you tell us about the last bit?!"

Harry simply shrugged his grin still there "Surprise"

"Nice dude!" as Draco and Neville bro-hugged him whilst Harry said "It was actually all last-minute, I had no idea Sirius would do that."

"You reckon we should sing and do a little karaoke later?" asked a beaming Neville, Harry couldn't believe how much Neville had changed from that insecure mess of a chubby toddler he was a mere months ago.

"What's later?" a somewhat bossy voice asked, Harry would've guessed it was Hermione but it was an octave deeper, crisp, icy even

Harry smiled as a pretty blond approached him and started "Hi I'm D-"

"Daphne Greengrass" he smiled at her slightly surprised expression "I know"

"Good to know?" she retorted, more as a question.

He grinned at her slightly "In fact I know most of you here" he said loudly and clearly

A certain of the shyer students gasped "How?" asked the star-struck voice of one of them, was it one of the Patil twins?

Harry cockily pointed a finger towards himself "I am the chosen one"

His friends burst out loud at that and Harry joined them, "I am just kidding guys, relax. My lovely friends here wrote to me about most of you." He then went around and socialized a little. He wondered if their connection could eventually become like with his other group, he mentally shrugged, a little stary-phase wasn't too bad was it? It didn't matter, he decided in the end. Sympathy from some "I'm so sorry to learn about…" or some promise of spending more time together, all in all Harry felt he handled it well.

Harry realized it was now his turn to play the host "Excuse me, I'll be right back guys"

Sirius was dancing rather closely, was one way to put it, with his new date. The envy of several aristocrats, Lily Skeeter. Harry approached them, pulled the 'adult' down to reach his height and whispered a few wise words before unwarranted news was published on him, once again. Not that he minded terribly, but the focus of the party had to be the speech. Harry winked at Lily "You must've heard it a lot by now, but you do look gorgeous"

"Not as much as I'd like, thank-you Harry, great seeing you once again" she said, bending down and embracing him, but french way. Three cheek kisses, in which Harry got a wonderful view of her assets. Harry let his hand linger a bit longer on her back and then ushered them inside "Take care of him R-Lily" She winked back at him and vanished.

Harry soon made his rounds shaking hands with all the distinguished guests. The Minister, Kingsley and Harry made sure to dance with his wonderful wife, who Harry had never actually seen before this occasion, he lingered quite a bit near Amelia and Monroe greeting more 'high-ups' and 'up and risers'.

Arthur

His meeting with Arthur was a lengthy one and Harry had arranged a meeting with him before the New Year, to "share his insights on muggle technology" but really, Harry had considered this man as a father figure, and would've liked to be in touch with him for a bit.

"I do hope you bring your family to the museum Mr. Weasely,"

"Please call me Arthur"

"Nonsense, you are the head of Muggle Division are you not Mr. Weasely?" Arthur had simply blushed and nodded.

"I would anyways love to learn more, would it be alright if I owled you for a more informal meet sometime next week?"

The man was rather dumbfounded. He had been hesitant to go to another party of rich pureblood snobs. But knew he had to go if all other heads were heading there, it would make a "bad impression". He hated it when work he loved mounted to socializing, but that is the life he knew he'd signed up to when he had joined the ministry right out of Hogwarts. Sure, there hadn't been other job prospects and he had a pregnant wife to support, so if anything he'd taken the first thing available and grown to love it. Lately he'd been near obsessed with the ingenuity of muggles in the no short of magical artfeacts-no devices- they'd create. He had dared to raise his hopes when he realized it was The Potters hosting it. There was nothing but questions regarding their wizarding hero, and his equally famous godfather.

Arthur was a smart man, he saw through a lot of people bull. Like for instance he knew one of the reasons his wife insisted on a large family with his sparse income was to provide manpower. A woman who cooks well, brews well. It was impossible she'd botched up as many anti-pregnancy potions as she had. And two years younger, he reckoned she was failing her classes which is why she'd let herself become pregnant in the first place. But he had truly loved her and tried best to accommodate her wishes. Now he was more or less happy with the way his life turned out. Sure at times he wished he was more adamant at the stupid risks his wife took occasionaly, but he loved her too much, and perhaps, if he dared dive deeper, he was scared. She was a beautiful witch at Hogwarts and had chosen him, in midst of all her options. Would she crawl back if he failed?...

So anyways, Arthur realized Harry must have several other resources to gain the knowledge, his godmother was Amelia friggin' Bones. But he had warmly nodded and agreed, like everyone else there, Arthur too was curious about the mysterious ways of the Boy-Who-Lived.

Lucius

Malfoy senior grunted a bit, but managed to not to let any snide remarks pass. He let his wife, ever the socialite, chatter with the Potter boy as he stood next to her. Lucius supposed the real reason he was mad was the strong pull and genius tactics the boy and the dunderhead Black held in such little time. He didn't like having his arms twisted, but he could appreciate it. And what more, his son was growing a backbone, it was infuriating to say the least, but somewhere glad his son had the potential to be the first Malfoy, in a while, to make good news so he let it slide. A quick shake of his head, was that what Severus had told him or his own thoughts? He wasn't quite sure, but nonetheless smiled at the defeat of that old nuisance. The fading but still largely remnant mark had been the cause for a lot of his worry, but perhaps now he could do his own thing, but what? Were there better hopes for him? He would talk again to Severus soon. He turned back into the conversation which had escalated into clothing materials, he resisted rolling his eyes and politely left for a drink

"Well I have to apologize Ms. Malfoy"

"Call me Narcissa please. And may I ask why?" Asked the stunning witch. A year younger than Sirius, and now 9 elder, she looked as ravishing as ever. If Lily was pretty, she was elegant. If Lily had the boobs, Narcissa had the grace.

"I confess I steered the conversation into fabrics so that I could talk to you without Mr. Malfoy"

She laughed a little, the young boy was many things, a wonder certainly. Her marriage was a strange one. Realistically, she knew a pureblood wedding would terminate like her parents, but she had still hoped it wouldn't, she too dreamed of a handsome, loving husband. The starting was perhaps, but the rise of the Dark Lord had severed the relationship, and Lucuis and Narcissa were cordial, amicable at best. They seldom met at diner, or parties. She had her wing, he had his. She felt like a widow most days. Did Lucius even love her? Or was she a mere trophy wife for him? She had worked hard on her appearance, but he didn't seem to care anymore. She knew she had, once loved him, but it was now very muted, like how you would feel for a distant relative. You seldom met them, and exchanged gifts on 'joyous' occasions, but they no longer impacted your day to day life.

Snape

His son was a miracle of a boy. Ever since Harrys appearance, his somber life took a turn for the better. It was their first meeting that cleared his mind enough to devise a plan smart enough to tackle that monster down. He was grateful enough to know his son acknowledged him.

He let go that Harry's nose looked better, or his features less pointy. He decided to be less skeptical and be more open-minded. There were a large number of glamour charms available, which Harry could have used. Plus he now had a bunch of rich buffoons pretty much at his service. Severus, in a weird sort of way, was a large believer of fate and destiny. The large smile on Harrys face and long hug had clenched his heart, a feeling he didn't think he could feel again. He hoped, no knew, the black vile surrounding his heart would slowly dissolve. They agreed to keep in correspondence and meet again soon in private.

He had sent an owl to Harry just two weeks ago, when the potion was finally done. He would never admit it to Harry but tracking the Dark Lord was not much difficult. With the right hands exchanging money, he'd quickly found out about a man who bought the ingredients required to make the potion from the stone. And so he had left for Albania. The large presence of dark magic easily led him to him. Although stronger now, he appreciated Severus' help. His mind was unstable so bought the crap Severus fed him; about his correspondence being with a gathering of his faithful servants. That they had followed the robbery and quickly connected the pieces together -their lord had returned-. Severus had convinced Riddle to brew the blood replenishing potion to be born again. He said how the Potter boy injured himself at quidditch, blood leaking, "dirty brown blood, and as I left, I thought it might be useful for you lord? Voldemort bought all the shit.

There was a close call when Harry sent a patronus warning him to wait till dawn (5am exactly) the next day to feed him the potion. Snape had rushed to tell "his master" he didn't remember if he'd put one or two drops and didn't want to risk so he'd test it yadi yadi ya. The maniac had been pissed but couldn't do much either, he focused on casting spells in his semi-alive state. And at 5am sharp, just as Severus inserted the potion in his mouth did he start squirming and withering. Severus grew surprised but supposed it must have been the potent potion on his weakened soul. Serverus watched with awe as one watched a train-wreck.

Harry had, in that same instant, from Potter Manor, destroyed all the other horcruxes. This not only alerted Riddle but made him spasm uncontrollably. It was alas too late as he became human in a pain riddled body. He was but a weak tween and easily perished with a simple killing curse casted by Snape.

Severus was not one to over-state things, stories, grand-acts were not his suit. The killing had calmed something inside him. As if he had finally repaid Lily her debt, bought her death justice. So more and more of his young, eager, self rose. The dumb ex-followers put two and two together, his departure and their vaished tatoos, and flooded him with owls. He waited nearly a week, working on himself, his appearance, until he convened them all together and answered their queries.

"Yes I followed him since Potters entry,"

"No I just felt it, and well the headmaster too suspected his return"

"Yes, Hogwarts was essentially a trap to lure him, and apparently test Potter"

"No Albus didn't actually say it Crabbe, it was self-evident"

And when one of them whispered "So how did you do it?"

He knew he had to give them something. Something, big, great, terrific, horrific, something they would buy. Voldemorts demise left a powervacum which Severus saw clear as daylight. He saw the opportunity and without blinking pursued it. He wasn't sure what his future held anymore, but felt clearer than he had in a long time. His past was cleared, his sins forgiven. He could breathe without feeling asphyxiated.

And then there was Harry, a boy whose achievements he could be proud of, without shouldering any of the responsibilities. Let Sirius empty his vaults on a bastard, smirked Severus as he watched the elegant Narcissa and Harry converse and decided perhaps he could join that 'fun little group'.

Harry saw Snape approach from afar

"As you may know I plan to start several new ventures, and a lady of your statute would be invaluable to-to us"

"Straight to the point, I see"

"Well I would've suggested lunch, but I wasn't sure you'd want to dine with a kid"

Narcissa giggled slightly "Yes, you're all but an ordinary child, you've intrigued I dare say the entire Wizarding community"

Harry understood she'd require more time, and would let her ponder over it. "I see" he said smiling "Then I daresay you'll be receiving an owl soon"

"Severus please join us, I was just going to ask about the Hogwarts experience" He let the adults reminisce, as he excused himself to see other guests.

Grangers

The Wizarding community seemed better than what they'd first thought about it. They were shocked at their lack of amenities; transport, shopping -like just one clothing store on the busiest street- but they supposed magic could cover those basic needs. At times it still felt surreal, like a movie, they were watching events unraveling from afar. They quickly surmised Harry was an important figure in this world and weren't exactly sure how they felt Hermione being so close to Wizarding royalty. On one hand, she would have first hand experience at everything. Another, she might have higher pressure to excel. A falling out, gods forbid, would bruise her terribly and they wouldn't even know how to cheer her up, they couldn't even make it inside the damn alley. But they tried to keep a positive outlook, Harry seemed like a great kid, very much normal in this crazed world, despite his enormous fame. And they would try to remain close and be a bigger part of their community.

"We best be going now Harry"

"Are you sure you don't want to use one of our guest rooms for tonight, it is pretty late" The couple shared a little look.

"We wish Harry, it'll have to be another time. We have appointments early tomorrow."

"On a Saturday?" asked Harry

"Doctors never sleep,"

"Amen," said Harry, and bid them goodnight, and wrapped his hands around Hermione's shoulders, tired of the socializing and ready to relax.

They arrived back to Justin explaining how he was some sort of muggle Nobility, the purebloods listened with rapt attention, a concept ever so foreign for them.

Harry shared a little look with Hermione, and whispered "There's conceited men in both worlds"

She shook her head slightly and whispered back "I think he's just explaining, not showing off Harry,''

Harry rolled his eyes before he cut in,

"Anycase it's a pity your parents couldn't make it. Did you tell them they were invited?"

Justin had the decency to blush, perhaps there was yet hope for him, he had tamed Draco, if that could be said. "Well yes, it's just a cultural thing..the parents at least know the host"

"What have your parents told other people, extended family, etc.?"

"Boarding school in Scotland" said Justin at once, grinning slightly

Harry smiled "Same, although I'm pretty sure mine said the correctional Institute of St. Brutus"

Justin had started to laugh at that but then abruptly stopped and said "Sorry", Harry smiled "No need, it is indeed rather funny".

He'd told his friends he didn't mind if their friends/guests/roommates came over as well. Nevilla had jumped at that and invited his 'lackeys' Dean & Seamus, who'd sided with him after Ron's little stint. Hannah had invited Justin and Ernie, Susan had Lavender who was abroad with her family and Parvati was already there, Hermione invited Boot who was celebrating Yuletide with his own family, Padma was there, and Anthony too, although stuck with his parents. Draco didn't need to invite a soul as most of the housemates were at the party.

"That was a great speech, say you think muggles could also visit the museum, my folks would love to alas 'have a decent' visit"

"Of-course, the museum is to inform everyone, especially considering the average muggle-born would know less than the average witch and wizard /muggles population is already cut off from a lot of our activities which is why a lot of the stigma is created in the first place. The museum is the first step, in what we hope will clear the stigma,"

"What is stigma" asked the cute voice of Seamus

A few people chuckled, but Harry admired his bravery. He put his hand forth "Seamus right?"

"I'll tell you right away, but first tell me about this Ronald character..Nev told me somethings…"

Seamus laughed a little and he began an overstated impression of Neville curse, Harry noticed Dean did not participate in this. Had he already befriended Ron? Harry was intrigued to say the least and hoped to learn him more. He once again soured that he'd spend all seven years of his life, stuck with two people.

Daphne

Daphne was elated to atlas attend a Yule Party. They were the most important of all gatherings. Sure she liked to present a harsh front on the exterior, after the untimely demise of her father, a little part in her had broke and decided to remain stoic was the way to go. She wouldn't let anyone in because she would ultimately lose them. Yes, cynical for a young girl, but she too was emotionally mature than most. Plus, as the striking image of her mother, she wanted to emulate the matron as much as possible. She was a Slytherin in and out, which is why Draco's attitude and a lot of Hogwarts had largely shocked her. She had logically thought of the likeliest scenarios, Draco being intelligent but a spoiled brat crying whenever things wouldn't go his way. She had decided to steer clear of him, and hopefully instill him with more sense, then perhaps use him as an ally. But he had shocked her by actually being a decent being. Sure he was still arrogant and cocky, but that was the Slytherin way. One didn't survive in the den if they didn't make big talk. Yet he dared to have a budding friendship with members outside the house, dared to smile and let his emotions show, a trait usually frowned upon by their elders. Who managed to always remind them to "act proper". But was it proper to be tamed like sheep since birth? If they were to be living like adults, what was the point of being a kid right now?

So yes, despite all that frigidness Daphne portrayed, she had spent the larger part of that afternoon getting ready, squealing in excitement like the little girl she was. She was surprised it was taking place at the Potter manor. Wizards always celebrated Yule, but there were often rival parties because of the sheer bulk of people. She was pleasantly surprised there was only one large one happening, she too, like everyone had been curious about the mysterious Boy-who-lived, and hoped she made some kind of impression on him. As she studied them, she realized their entire group was slightly weird. They didn't have much in common, different houses, groups, blood -not that she believed it, but the ideology was rampant in their society. And she had learned to respect it.

A large part of the reason Harry was socializing with the students was to decide which House he would go to. The ideals, teachers all were unessential, the roommates were though. He was already inching towards Ravenclaw, as it was most strategic. It would appease all factions of the population, Gryffindor and Slytherin already held the centuries old rivalry. He hoped his museum with details on Pettigrew and Snape's actions would change their views. A revolution didn't happen overnight, so that was one. Hufflepuff had, for no good reason, gotten the informal rep as the pushovers. He could of-course go there and redeem the house, but his roommates would matter more. The same case could be made for Slytherin, but he didn't think he could cope with double entendre in everything he said and remained stoic for large parts of his day. He would for sure miss Gryffindors loud, shear-warmness, the Weasley twins. Harry confused once again and watched as the last of his guests alas left.

It had been near two hours since Sirius had vanished. That meant the party had been going on for over 4 hours, how did most purebloods tell guests to "shove off". If the signal was midnight, he'd invite guests at 10 the next time.

"I'm so exhausted," complained Harry, yawning. Susan and Hannah giggled. As they too, stood up and belted out the lyrics of the song Harry had sung. Neville, Draco and Hermione were content watching. Harry was too tired to bother getting up.

"Where's your youth boy!"

Harry giggled "Why don't you get that lot dancing? That'll be something" pointing to the happy contenders.

"Nah, they're too chicken" said Susan sauvly. The muggle reference missed its mark on the purebloods.

"Why you being such a Hufflepuff?!" shrieked Hannah

"Hannah that is literally your house" said Draco evenly

"I know,"

"Why'd you bite my head off when I said.."

"HEY, only I get to insult my house, you pointy boy, may only praise it,"

"Besides" continues Hannah cutting him off again "It was so you'd get the euphemism Suze used. We aren't actually scaredy cats, like you lot" she said sticking her tongue out

Draco shook his head at her, "Come Neville let's show these witches what we're made of,"

"Pure bloods boys, watch & learn" said Neville, ruffling Hannah's hair as he took center left and shrieked the lyrics once more.

Soon the girls joined them and it accumulated to a lot of jumping. Susan though had a real knack at it. Harry was happy watching from his comfy cushions he was on.

"How are you lot not tired, my feet are killing me"

"Chairs, grandpa, chairs!" shouted Hannah

"Or tables that reach our fucking height, I had to stand on my tiptoes to bloody reach it" said Draco

Harry giggled more "Could none of you reach the damn tables?" They all nodded and giggled some more, as if they'd shared a large joke. They laid down close to each other, laughing.

When the laughter ended, they were wrapped in a comfortable silence

"This feels nice, us together again," started Susan

"The weird six?" suggested Hannah

"Nah come-on we need a better name" whined Draco, half awake, half-asleep.

"Let the people come up with one," said Susan

"You reckon we'll be that famous," asked Neville

"Neville we are that famous" giggled Hannah some more,

"We're already making history, aren't we?" said Susan, with a side-look at Harry

"It's crazy you survived Hogwarts and remained a pack, tell me more about it" asked Harry.

"Hermione's got a huge list."

"HERMM!"

"Her-ninny"

"Ms. Granger!" said Hannah in a Mcgonnagal impression

"She is here right?"

"They spotted her sprawled on the couch, fast asleep.

"Merlin, she's asleep!" The group shared a look and rushed over to her, deciding at once to tickle wake her up. She awoke screaming, fidgeting, laughing possible the loudest she had ever had.

"How'd you fall asleep?" asked Malfoy

"Great going" muttered Hannah, boy that girl was something else.

"Ohh, uhh-" she said blushing, slightly red from her tickler's attack "My bedtime is earlier…"

"See, I'm not the only one…" as he climbing next to her. Quickly called Teeny, who extended the sofa to a comfortable bed to fit them all. The 6 of them settled in nicely, their heads next to each other, their bodies flailing in all the directions.

"That elf is something else, really Harry" said Hermione, Teeny had helped them all undress and get ready for bed in record time. Harry shrugged

"I love Teeny and Kreacher my other elf, they're-"

"Ohh Harry what're we doing tomorrow?!" cut in Susan all of a sudden

The tired teens managed to let out surprisingly loud exclamations.

"No idea!" She gave him a hard look.

"Seriously, Sirius planned it all. I just hope we manage to get there" said Harry, yawning once more. Which set of a chain reaction of yawns. Soon they were muttering non-sense and slept within the hour.

Harry in fact knew where they were going, they would be taking a portkey to Disney World -Florida- the next day.
