Ahem well. Hope you enjoy this chapter!

The susurrus rushing of the waters of the Spring of Wisdom quietly scurried on as the chilly air ran a shiver down Link's spine, making him feel more awake than ever. A few leaves floated gently in the air while the atmosphere remained sacredly still, creating a holy yet comforting feeling in this tiny chamber. It was a full moon tonight, the night sky illuminating with the moon shining brightly above. It was truly beautiful - like a spirit watching them from above, its calm voice reassuring them that everything will be just fine. The Master Sword was held in between his hands as he faced away from the waters where the princess stood, her arms bare and face desperate, repeating the same prayers again and again.
Link could feel that tinge of worry biting his chest again. It was close to midnight, with the air turning chilly and the monsters waking up, ready to hunt outside. The king had insisted on the princess praying here at night; he said that "the goddess might actually appreciate your effort if you do so"…oh, and yeah, that the spirits will be more awake at night, but that doesn't matter as long as I can find a way to scold my daughter. Link silently rolled his eyes as an annoyed expression rose up to his features.
But, seriously…will the princess not be tired? She hasn't been getting enough sleep lately, and the amounts of stress the king has been giving her is getting way too much for her to handle. Sometimes Link wished he could just find a way to carry them for her - there must be a way, right? …but no matter how hard he thinks, there isn't a way that he could help her pray, get the powers, and hand them to her...nor is there any way for him to get the king to stop talking to her for at least one day, one week, and to get that stressful feeling off her chest for once.
"I come seeking help…" Zelda's voice was steady, emotionless and perfect behind him, and Link felt a sudden flutter in his chest. "Regarding this power that has been handed down over time…Prayer who awaken my power to seal Ganon away…"
There was a sudden pause in those words she had repeated for so many times, and Link felt himself immediately wanting to look back, to find out what was wrong.
"Or so I've been told all my life…" Relief filled Link again as the voice made itself to his ears, but it all went away as he realized what she was saying. Her tone was doubtful and filled with an uncertain sadness, echoing slightly in the chamber around the spring. "And yet…" An aching silence. "Grandmother heard them—the voices from the spirit realm. And Mother said her own power would develop within me." Link couldn't help but turn his head slightly sideways at her voice. Is she..talking to me? That familiar feeling back before they became friends was back again, a strange panic seizing his chest as he fought over the options of replying or not.
"But I don't hear...or feel anything!" The princess continued on, her tone equally troubled and upset. A rustling of waters told Link that she had raised her hands up again to that praying gesture she hated so much. "Father has told me time and time again…He always says, 'Quit wasting your time playing as being a scholar!'"
Another silence followed, so quiet and so solemn that it felt it had dug a hole in Link's chest.
"Curse you…" A splash of water was heard, making Link snap his head half way around, fearing that something had happened - fortunately, it just seemed to have been Zelda angrily dropping her hands down. A pain worse than the urge to protect her rush through Link. Just why can't he help her? There has to be a way somehow…"I've spent everyday of my life dedicated to praying!" Rushing waters, silence followed. "I've pleaded to the spirits tied to the ancient gods…" She must have wrapped her arms around herself, and just the simple image of that filled Link with a desire to just take her inside his arms and hug her forever, "And still the holy powers have proven death to my devotion."
Her next sentence started more like a plea than a statement, immediately shattering Link's heart in two as it left her mouth. "Please just tell me…" Link hesitated no more at the desperation in her voice, taking the Master Sword away from his hands and facing the princess directly.
"What is it…?" The waters surrounding her seemed freezing and cold, and everything about her just — seemed so weak, so fragile, and Link couldn't help but want to just call her to get back, please, take a rest…The efforts she had been putting into this was more than impressive, so…why wouldn't the goddess answer her already? Isn't she supposed to be just and kind? Can't she see how much she's suffering, how hard she's trying?
"What's wrong with me?!" This one single answer-less question just hung in the air of this chamber, breaking Link's heart painfully as he studied her figure with concerning eyes. The hurt, the blame, the guilt, the self-hatred she was feeling…there's nothing wrong with her. She didn't ever do a single thing wrong, it's fate that was wrong, it's the goddess herself, it's life deciding that she deserves nothing but suffering. Before he could even realized it Link was saying those words outloud, unaware of the anger that was showing in his voice and how hard he was clenching his sword, the trembling figure of the princess unable to leave his mind.
Zelda turned back at him with surprised, beautiful eyes, with a saddening little smile settled on her lips. The sight made Link almost forget where he was — it's just…her. It was too much of an amazing view to look at. They stared into each others' eyes for a long time before Zelda turned back again, speechless, her face hidden in the shadows.
"I come seeking help…"
