Something happened with the ffnet app and my draft was removed. I have to rewrite this again. But hope you'll enjoy this.

The Ryonan Team are about to leave school to pay their previous captain, Uozumi, a visit, and to also bond together. It was Sendoh's idea to have one or two bonding nights every month for their team to get closer. It sounds good and relevant but Koshino prays for their captain to show up during trainings more than any other form of bondings.

The team are close though. All because of his accommodating character that his team felt at ease.

He is having a conversation with the other best friend when a buzz from Sendoh's pocket startled him. "Hold up Kosh." he said as he fished out his phone.

Upon seeing the name of the sender, his cheeks heated up in complete redness. All because Rukawa Kaede's name appear on the screen. And this is probably the first time the other initiated an exchange of message.

"Hey." Rukawa's message as he reads.

Surreal, but this short message is making his core fluctuates. He sent a reply immediately for the other one is impatient. "Hi there. Miss me?" adding a tease.

A reply was received after a while. "I want Tonkotsu ramen. Two servings. Gyoza on the side. All free. Now."

The message halted his steps that some of his team members bumped into his enormous back. "Captain?" Hikoichi asked.

He couldn't believe it. Rukawa is inviting him for a dinner. Indirectly but the intention of the message is obvious.

"Hey Akira. What's the prob-" When Koshino looked up, the captain's face was evidently in pure joy. A wide grin. A hint of blush. Completely lightened up. "Akira? What happen to you?"

Sendoh abruptly turns to his team. "Sorry team. I have to go. Say hi to Uozumi for me." he stated, then hurried out of the school gate.

"Oi! Where are you going?" Koshino tried to reach him by yelling but he vanished quickly in their sight.

"Captain seems in a hurry... and happy?" Uekusa exclaimed.

Koshino tapped his forehead. Only one reason popped in his head.

Sendoh is rushing himself to the train's direction, while dialing on his phone. "Ruk, are you in school?" he asked, as soon as the other guy picked up the line.

"No." The other line replied.

"Where are you? I'll come and get you." He turned to the corner, avoiding people blocking his way.

"I'm... I don't know."

"What? What do you mean you don't know?" he said, trying to speak while sprinting to reach the train faster so he could make it to Shohoku on time.

"I'm... There's a pet shop."

"What? Be specific." He turned to another block, directing to the station. "I'm near the train. Go back to your school, I'll fetch you."

"I can't."

"Can't?" His voice rises for he is panicking on Rukawa's whereabouts.

"Don't yell."

A sudden guilt was felt. "I'm sorry. I am not yelling. I am running. And I can't hear you clearly." he tried to calm his voice despite his worries on the other lad.

"STOP!" he suddenly heard from the other line.

"What?"

"I said stop. Stop running." Rukawa repeated.

Sendoh halted. "What are you saying? Tell me now. Where the hell are you? I'm getting worried."

A pull on his jacket startled him. He turned around and saw the physical presence of the person on the other line. "Here... I am here." he said, still on his phone.

His voice was caught in his throat. Sendoh was too stunned to even utter a word. Rukawa is standing right before his eyes, on his own town, in the middle of the night.

"Wha-wha-what are yo-you doing he-here?" Finally, his voice came back but still in stutter.

"Waiting for you to appear. I want my free dinner." Rukawa put his phone down and shoved it inside his pocket. "Can we eat now?"

"You--you travel here..."

Rukawa nodded innocently. "I want a new taste of Ramen."

It's not like he wanted to give a deeper meaning into this, but no one will ever go miles away just for a new taste of ramen. Especially if we're talking about someone like Rukawa Kaede who finds travelling troublesome. No one! Unless that person has another intention.

The shockness on his face dispersed into a wide, ear-to-ear grin. A blush on his cheeks and lightened up face, surrounded by rainbows and butterflies as he imagined. For his mind is totally convinced, Rukawa Kaede came all the way to Ryonan just to see him in person. "Am I in heaven right now?"

Rukawa's eyebrows met, confused by the illuminating aura of the other. "What's with your grin?"

"Could you slap me? I can hear angels singing around my head." An overwhelming feeling is clear as the blue sky.

"If you want to go to heaven, it'll be an honor for me." he said sarcastically.

"If it's from you, I don't mind." still grinning.

"Tch. You're creeping me."

"Is this the feeling of euphoria?" he mumbled, lips grew wider and wider.

"Knock it off. You're annoying me."

Normally, he would tease the young one about something like this but it's best to leave it for this night is too wonderful to be ruined.

"Tch. I'm going home." he said, annoyed by the irresponsive behaviour of the other, attempting to leave but Sendoh snuggled his arm. "No. Let's go. Everything is on me. Two servings of Tonkotsu Ramen. Gyoza on the side. Whatever my waifu wants."

Rukawa is still confused. "You sound weird. Are you on drugs?"

Sendoh pinched the pale nose lightly. "Overdose on my baby fox."

"Tch. Doaho."

"Never mind that. Hubby will treat waifu tonight for hubby's heart is 100% full." Sendoh started leading Rukawa's arm to walk.

"How come? And can we walk normal? You're such a leech." he said, referring to his clinging.

Sendoh laughed on his new description but it didn't stop him from snuggling. "No. Tonight is a date between you and me. I'll stick myself on you this whole night."

"Why does it always have to be a date?"

But Sendoh ignored his statement and started singing his heart out. "Maybe we're friends. Maybe we're more. Maybe it's just my imagination..."

"Stop singing!!!"

Ignoring him again and continued his singing. "... Call me crazy but I think you feel it too..."

Rukawa let out a sigh. "Doaho."

He scoffed a little but continued humming.

"Sendoh." Rukawa called.

"Yeeeees?" Sendoh prolonged the word cheerfully.

"Will you please..." his teeth started gritting. "... stop staring at me?" As soon as they settled themselves on a four-seated table, the guy is staring at him, with his beaming face, for almost 10 minutes while waiting for their order.

Sendoh's eyes smiled more, leaning closer with his chin rested on his palms. "I can't help it. My waifu is getting more and more beautiful in my eyes."

"What are you so happy about? It's just Ramen."

He shook his head. "It's not the ramen I'm happy about."

"Then what is it?"

"Nothing."

Rukawa rolled his eyes then took the laminated menu, lifting it on the side of his head to block Sendoh's stares. "No looking, if you won't tell me."

Sendoh scoffed. "That won't work. I can still imagine your beautiful face."

Rukawa tapped the menu lightly on the other's forehead. "Doaho." then returns it back to its place.

"Tell me princess, why'd you come here?" The spiky head asked, still on his grinning face.

"Ramen. I told you already."

"Really? Only Ramen?"

With his tone, Rukawa can sense the other is expecting a different answer. "What?"

Sendoh leaned in closer. "Tell me the real reason."

Rukawa tried to move back but there's not enough space between him and the window. "Could you please move back a little? You're too close."

"Be honest with me Ruk."

"What do you want me to say?"

"The real reason."

Rukawa sighed. "Fine! Just move back. You're too persistent you know."

Sendoh quickly complied and waited for his statement. But before Rukawa could reveal, their orders have arrived. As Sendoh is in total delight, he did the honor of pouring sesame seeds into Rukawa's two bowls of Ramen, adding a little amount of crushed garlic. He arranged the ordered foods neatly in their right places. Gyoza on the side of one steaming bowl. Mango smoothie on top right with a straw. Prepared the sauce for the Gyoza. And broke the chopsticks in half, placing it on top of the Rukawa's first bowl.

Rukawa squinched, seeing his well-prepared meal. "I'm not disable, doaho. I can do all that myself."

"I know. But I want to serve my beautiful waifu." he stated in glee. "I will be the sweetest hubby tonight." lifting his eyebrows twice.

"Tch. Annoying." he grabbed his chopsticks and started digging on his first bowl of Ramen.

"So how was hubby's treat?"

"Good." he said, wiping his own mouth with a tissue. "Can you do me a favor?"

"Of course. Anything."

"Stop watching me!!!" he growled.

Sendoh chortled and complied before the other loses his temper. He started digging on his own.

Rukawa took one dumpling, dipped it into the soy sauce before taking a bite. The taste displeases him. "Uck. Awful."

Sendoh was surprised. "Huh? What do you mean? This got the best gyoza in town."

"Well. Your town sucks."

He chuckled a little. "Okay, feed it to me."

"I already bit on it."

"Don't waste food. You're not a chef yet."

Rukawa rolled his eyes then feeds the remaining gyoza on the other. Sendoh delightfully took it and munch on it. He was even more delighted when Rukawa is not bothered to use the same chopsticks he chomps on. Seems he's too comfortable on him now. Adding to his bliss, Rukawa is wearing the bracelet and the cheap watch he gave him in one wrist. "I feel like I'm dreaming."

"What now?"

"Could you slap me? I kind of--" His wish was immediately granted by the fox himself. The slap was so loud that other customers turn their way.

Sendoh rubbed his reddened cheek. "Why did you slap me?"

"I'm being nice so I did what you requested." he said and sipped on his ramen with no signs of remorse.

"But not that hard." But he quickly turned to his silliness and snuggled an arm. "But it's okay... I forgive you."

Rukawa freed his arm to the snuggle and pushed the silly face. "I am not apologizing! Let me eat in peace, will you?!"

"So tell me now. Why are you here?"

The young one let out another sigh before firing his first purpose. "When is your birthday?"

"Eh?" His beaming face turns to wonder. "You came all the way here just to ask for my birthdate?"

Rukawa didn't answer but just sipped on his mango shake.

"Are you preparing a gift for me?" The silly face brightened up again.

"Tch. Don't bother answering."

"But you have to wait for next year. It's on the 14th of February."

"Are you fooling me?" Knowing the date is a popular one. The day where his locker is filled with chocolates and letters in a heart shaped fragrant papers that he never bothered reading.

"It's true." he confirmed. "Well, your birthday is odd too you know. New Year's day."

"How did you know?"

"I'm a stalker." He winked with a clack.

"Creepy."

"But really... are you preparing a gift for me? I am still accepting even though months have passed."

"No. Let's wait for next year. I'll give you tons of chocolates."

Sendoh lifted his lip in annoyance. "Are you just going to give all your gifts to me that day? You're so cheap."

Rukawa scoffed and sipped on his warm noodles. He asked another question. "What's your favorite color?"

Sendoh felt odd but answered. "Blue? Dark Blue? I don't know. I can't select one."

"You're truly complicated." he stated. "How about your favorite food?"

Sendoh is completely in wonder. "Where are you going with this? Are you writing a blog about me?"

"Why are you answering me with another question?" he irked.

"Is this about the bet? I told you I want a new dish, not my favorite one."

"Just answer, Doaho." he roared.

"Sashimi. Fishy fish fish."

Rukawa noticed that the Gyoza are still untouched so he picked one and feeds it to Sendoh without his consent. Sendoh was surprised for a bit but turns back to his euphoric state, deciding not to take any Gyoza from that plate so he'll be fed until nothing is left.

"Hi Sendoh."

They turned and saw two girls waving at them. Sendoh waved back and the girls continued walking, passing them, giggling. As he turned, the foxy eyes are squinching up. "How many girls have you really dated?"

"Oh them? I don't even know those girls." he explained. "I have fans too you know."

"Then how many?"

"Oh." Sendoh gave out a wry smile. "Curious huh?"

"Don't bother if you don't want to answer. I have a number in mind, 18." he mocked.

A loud laugh escaped the older. "You're really judging me. But alright, I'll tell you. I only had three ex-girlfriends."

"Ugh. Three dozen you mean."

Sendoh chuckled. "Whatever fox. But that is true. You wanna know who's my first?"

Rukawa suddenly felt interested. He turned to Sendoh and waited for him to continue. "You know the woman yesterday? Yumi? She's my first."

A sharp pain was felt inside by Rukawa. So that must be the reason why she was introduced as different. "Don't lie. You seemed close." As his understanding on relationships, when two people parted ways, they become strangers. So why is she still calling him by his given name?

"Well. We have understanding. And she's Nee-chan's best friend so it's inevitable not to see each other."

For some reason, Rukawa wants to know more. "What happened?" He intentionally sounded like his uninterested but he is really curious. So he just sipped on the second bowl of Ramen but his ears are into the topic.

"She moved to Tokyo. I'm not really that good with long distance relationship. And it's probably a child-love that I gave up easily." he stated. "But don't worry, I'm not interested with her anymore."

Rukawa was taken aback. "Why would I be worried? Moron." Unsure but he somehow felt relieved. Another gyoza was fed to Sendoh which he willingly took. "Then right after, you dated seventeen girls." he added a taunt.

Sendoh chortled. "Please. I told you three only. Others are you know..." he cleared in between munch.

"Pffft. Walking dick."

Sendoh almost spilled the dumpling from his mouth. "Nah. I'm just a man." he reasoned out. "But you know what? I haven't dated anyone since my last vacation."

Rukawa narrowed. "The beach?"

"Yep."

"Tch. Who would believe that?"

Sendoh simply laughed and noticed the two bowls are empty. "Wow Rukawa. Are you really that hungry?"

Rukawa shrugged and blurted another question. "When did you start liking basketball?"

"Hmmm. Dad taught me when I was really young. And then I joined the team back in grade school. I enjoyed it so I decided to pursue basketball. Why'd you asked?"

Rukawa didn't answer and silently sipped on his smoothie.

A realization came to Sendoh. His lips curved gently knowing the intention of the other. "What else do you want to know? I'll tell you everything."

Rukawa took a glimpse of him in the corner of his eyes then shifted back to the window. "Then... Then tell me more."

Sendoh smiled. "You got it ma'am."

"Let me take you home Ruk." he pleaded for the last time. He was trying to convince Rukawa from the Ramen restaurant until they reach the train station. But the visitor keeps on declining. Good thing, he allowed him to accompany him until the train arrives.

"Annoying." Rukawa mumbled.

A brief smile escaped Sendoh as he watched Rukawa. Rukawa shows his care thru his actions instead of words. It's not even in his nature to explain his motives. And that is what makes him so mysterious and infatuating.

Rukawa felt his stares. "What?"

Sendoh let out a wide grin. "Aren't you the sweetest waifu ever? Travelling miles away just to see your hubby?" He gave out a tease for the last time when the train arrives.

"So? I wanted to see you. You got a problem with that?" His final words before he hopped in to his transpo, left Sendoh astound and speechless. He didn't even felt the train had already left. His cheeks are burning. His mouth in awe. His eyes started blinking, getting back to his consciousness. He rubbed his nape and mumbled to himself. "Geez Rukawa. Stop killing me."

"You seem to be in a good condition today, Akira." Koshino gave him a suspicious look upon noticing his inexpressible joy as they head to the baskebtall gym of their very own school.

"A bright sunny day Koshino. Feel the beauty of it." he muttered, followed by humming.

"Why don't you hop? It would be more convincing." he jeered which made Sendoh laughed aloud. "Did you got laid last night?"

Another loud laugh came out of Sendoh. "Why do you all think getting laid is all I care about?

Koshino rubbed his chin, dubiously looking at the other. "Let me guess, this has something to do with that brat."

Sendoh's grin grew wider, confirming the intuition of the other. "What makes you say that?"

"I knew it! I knew it!" He said, pointing his fingers to the happy man. "Akira, I didn't know you are a ga-"

Sendoh cuts him off by placing a finger on his lips. "Only because of him."

The best friend pushed the hand away. "So it's true? Are you finally admitting it?"

Sendoh flicked the short-tempered's forehead. "Let's sprint to the gym. Ten suicides for the loser." Then he ran towards the basketball gym.

"Don't you walk away from me again Akira!!!" he gnarled.

Upon arriving, Sendoh noticed the huddling of his team on one side of the court. "What's the commotion about?" he asked as he approached. The team straightened and greeted their captain altogether. "Good morning Captain."

The captain just scratched a cheek, embarassed of the formality. "At ease soldiers."

"Captain." Hikoichi rushed to him, showing rectangular cartons. "Do you want to buy a ticket?"

"About what?" he asked. Koshino, who just arrived, took one sheet and reads the description aloud. "Signatured flavors." he uttered the biggest font written on the piece of carton then continued. "Indulge in a fine dining experience with our country's very own reknowned chefs serving their signature dishes." he shrugged. "Seems for the elites, where'd you get this Hikoichi?"

"From my sister, Koshino-senpai. Reporters were assigned to sell tickets for additional guests. And she gave me three tickets to sell. But it's hard for the price is too high--"

"I'll take two." Sendoh reluctantly exclaimed.

Hikoichi sparkles. "Really captain?"

Koshino's eyebrow arched. "Didn't you hear? It's expensive."

"I'm pretty sure Yayoi-san will give me extra discount, isn't that right Hikoichi?" he winked. Hikoichi bobbed his head several times. "She won't say no if it's you captain."

"Cool."

Koshino narrowed his eyes suspiciously. "Two tickets huh?" For he knew to whom the other ticket is meant to. Sendoh snuggled him. "Come on Kosh. Buy the last ticket. Help our little Hikoichi here."

"Tsk. What's in it for me? I'm not even interested. And the price is high."

Sendoh leaned in to whisper. "If you do, I'd spill the beans." He lifted his eyebrows twice, referring to their topic a while ago.

Koshino let out a sigh. "To think we're friends for so long and I have to buy one expensive ticket just to have you talk? You're the worst friend ever. I'm cutting my ties with you after this stupid event."

The captain laughed hardly. Koshino is too easy to control.

"You are both amazing, Captain, Koshino-senpai! Now I have three companions..." he paused for a while then turned to the captain. "By the way Sendoh-senpai, who's the other joining us?"

Koshino, who is still pissed, decided to reveal the other person himself for a payback. "Ruka--" But an enormous hand cupped his mouth before he could even finish. "You'll see when we get there. This nosy one keeps spoiling things."

Koshino removed the hand. "Stop calling me nosy!!!"

"Oh by the way, you have to be in formal attires Captain, Koshino-senpai." Hikoichi reminded.

"You got it." Sendoh took his tickets and walked away from his team to message his date for tomorrow's event.

"Waifu, do you have a suit?"

An immediate reply came back. "Yes. Why?"

"Clean?"

"Yes. Why?" Sendoh can hear the other's irritable tone, based on the repeated message he is receiving.

"Keep it clean."

"Why?!!!" The annoyance is entirely convincing for the word is followed by three angry emojis. Sendoh scoffed, amused, replying "Nothing." adding three kiss emojis to taunt him more.

"Get lost!"

"LOL. Miss you."

"Doaho."

He ended the message with a red heart.

Surely, these tickets will gain him extra points tomorrow night knowing Rukawa is an enthusiast of unique dishes. Plans and preparations of his big surprise are already running into his head. The excitement is palpable.

"I'm home." he shouted from the door as soon as he stepped in. The furry dog, Curry, welcomed him with waggling tail. "Hey there bud." he said, massaging the golden fur.

"Good evening Akira-kun." A guest peeked from the kitchen and greeted him.

"Ah Yumi. You're here."

The lady smiled her eyes. "Yeah. I baked some brownies and dropped it personally here. Hope you can have a taste."

"Of course. Whatever is free." he joked. He gave Curry a pat and headed to the kitchen. The mother and the sister is also present inside. "What is this? Girls' night?" he said as he grabbed a slice of baked brownies and chewed it. "Nice Yumi. Delicious." he praised in between munch, giving her a thumbs up for approval.

"Glad you liked it." she exclaimed in delight.

Akira sat himself on the counter where the mother is cooking. "Odd to see my darling early tonight."

"I missed my beautiful mom."

The mother turned to him, narrowing her eyes. "That tone..."

Akira grinned. "My mother is so bright, you know me so well."

Akane sighed and continued stirring the pot. "Where are you going this time?"

"I'll be attending a special event tomorrow. So can my beautiful and voluptuous mother advanced my allowance for this week?" he beamed. The mother tapped a potholder on his spiky head. "Tch. Told you to save money."

"I did. But I bought something expensive so, my savings are now in half. Don't want to zero out my account."

Akane squinted before agreeing to her one and only boy. It's hard for a mother to say no to her son. "Fine. I'll give you extra."

"Great! You are the best mom in the world!" he praised.

"What event Akira?" Anika asked while indulging herself with the brownies made by her friend.

"A formal event called Signatured Flavors at the Intercontinental Hotel."

"Oooh what a biggie." she muttered for the hotel is one of the finest in the district. "Oh wait. Is that the event you mentioned Yumi? The one you wanted to attend to?"

Yumi nodded briefly then frowned. "Unfortunately, tickets are given only to restaurant owners, investors and influencers. Reporters are allowed to sell but don't know one."

"Really? So how did my useless brother got one? You stole it?"

"A reporter related to one of my teammates sold the ticket to me. I'm taking Rukawa with me."

Anika slammed her palms on the table and stood. "Really? Rukawa-kun in a formal attire? Iyaaaaaa." she squealed. "Take pictures Akira. I want to see him. A prince in a suit."

Yumi was surprised by her reaction. "Anika, are you into Rukawa-kun?"

Her eyes turned into a devilish stare with an evil grin. "I'll kidnap him and marry him by force."

Akira threw a towel to his sister. "Stupid nee-chan."

"Rukawa will surely enjoy. I see a future of a cook on him." The mother stated.

Akira turned to the guest. "Ah Yumi, I'll try to ask if there is still a ticket available for you. But I can't promise though."

Yumi responded with a sweet smile. "I'll be happy if there is. But it's okay if none. Not the end of the world."

"Hey! Are you two rekindling?" Anika asked with a scowl. "You know it'll be hard for me if you two broke up again."

The lady guest brightened in deep red while Akira just tapped his forehead. "You're such an idiot nee-chan."

"Now, now kids. Prepare the table." The mom commanded.

"Nana. I'm going now." Rukawa yelled from the hallway so his grandma could hear. Nana peeked and saw her grandson on a black suit and dark red inner long sleeves. "My. My. Darling. You look ravishing."

Rukawa planted a kiss on her forehead before heading to the the door to change into his formal shoes. "No need to wait for me Nana."

"You got your keys?"

"Yes." He tapped his shoes on the floor and opened the main door. Nana noticed a car parked outside their gate. "Is that Hanagata-kun?"

"Yeah. I'm going with him." He bids his goodbye and stepped out of the door. Hanagata scanned him as soon as he was out of the gate. "I must say, you look stunning Rukawa."

Rukawa flinched that made Hanagata surrendered his hands above. "Sorry. I know you hate being praised but let's not--"

"It's fine." he miraculously said. His excitement on this event is making him feel nice and he can't ruin it by starting a fuss. Besides, the guy opened this opportunity for him so he'll let it pass for tonight.

Rukawa felt odd when Hanagata opened the car door for him. "I can do that myself."

The four-eyed smirked. "Just let me okay?"

The rookie rolled his eyes before hopping in the passenger's seat.

A non-stop ringing of a phone coming from the doorway was heard by Nana. She followed the ring tone and saw Kaede's phone near the edge of the hallway. It must have slipped from his pocket while changing his shoes. She picked it up and took the call. "Hello?"

"Ru-Oh? Nana?" she heard a familiar voice.

"Sendoh-kun?"

"Yes Nana. Sendoh here. Is Rukawa there? I keep calling him but he won't answer." Sendoh stated from the other side of the line.

"He just left dear."

"Left?"

"Yeah. Hanagata-kun fetched him a while ago."

A brief silence on the other line. "Sendoh-kun?"

"Ah yeah Nana. Uhmm. Do you know where they've gone to?"

"Hmmm... Kaede told me there's this event located at the Intercontinental Hotel. Something about unique dishes."

Another moment of silence from the other line "Tha-thanks Nana."

Both lines bid their goodbyes and ended the call.

Sendoh gripped on his mobile device. This is too disappointing. Totally frustrating. To think he has prepared so much for this night to be perfect. Spending a huge amount from his savings just to buy these expensive tickets. He had planned everything from bits to pieces. First, call his date and ask him to change to a suit. Picked him up from his house, take him to the place and surprise him once they reach the hotel where the event is located. He even anticipated Rukawa's possible reactions that could win this night for him. But unfortunately, another guy stole this supposedly big surprise from him. It was truly devastating. And to think, the other guy got another chance to please Rukawa again and get even more closer. He let out a deep sigh.

"Akira-kun?"

His raging thoughts were interrupted by his sister's bestfriend. "Ah yeah?"

"You look sad. Is something wrong?" Worry is on her eyes. Sendoh simply smiled with OK hand sign. "All good."

"If you say so." she shrugged. "But anyway, why are you still here? Is the event at 7? Rukawa-kun might be waiting."

He rubbed his nape. "Right." The thought of them together on one table, having dinner in an exquisite place is making him anxious. Even though he knew, the sight of them together would pain him, he still wants to go just to see him.

"Ah Yumi." he called. "Do you think nee-chan's dress would fit you?"

"I guess so. Why?"

Sendoh gave out a little smile. "I found a ticket for you, still interested?"

The setup of the event is mesmerizing and astonishing. Rukawa is in total awe. It was out of the ordinary. Huge chandeliers illuminating the whole area. Carpeted floors. Elegant table setups. Guests walking around are mixed of foreigners and locals. All are dressed in fine suits and elegant dresses. Some have ids with straps, most likely media or bloggers. But the place is extremely fabulous.

Rukawa's eyes roamed around, scanning the whole area. There are about ten enormous stations for each chefs, with complete appliances and equipments in circular stall. Inside are cooks uniformed in white, most likely sou-chefs or assistants, while the head chefs are wearing their own signatured uniforms. All culinary experts are busy preparing and serving foods for the invitees. This is too grand. A one of a kind experience. Thankfully, he got a free pass. All thanks to the four-eyed.

"Let's find a seat Rukawa." he heard Hanagata. He was still busy examining the place innocently which Hanagata finds amusing. Rukawa nodded when his senses are back to the present. His excitement is overflowing and he can't wait to try every dishes and find the best one which he actually came for.

Hanagata lead him to a two-seater table. Seats are across from each other. The taller pulled out a cushioned chair waiting for Rukawa to take it but Rukawa ignored for he is too eager to start exploring the fancy dishes. "I want to start."

Hanagata's lips twitched to the side. "Okay."

The four-eyed accompanied him on the first stall, nearest one from their table. As they approached, Rukawa's attention was captured by how the experts do their work. The open counter gave the opportunity for everyone to see how dishes are being made. It was truly fascinating. Seems enjoyable to be busied in this kind of profession. He wonders how will it feels like to be on the other side.

One crew gave him a golden tray with little servings from appetizer down to the final touch of dessert. He was expecting one signatured dish only but fortunately for him, he can taste four unique dishes with a touch of the head chef himself. The plating enhances the captivating and mouthwatering appeal of the dish. This night is like an adventure for him and he is motivated to explore more.

"Let's go back to our seat Rukawa." Hanagata said, holding the same set as him. He nodded and they went back together to their table.

Torched salmon for the appetizer. Such a fancy dish. Probably good to start taking a photo before indulging so he could show it to Nana and Sendoh. He tapped his pocket but no bulge of his device. He searched for his suit's inner and outer pockets, still none.

"Something wrong Rukawa? You seemed tense." Hanagata asked.

"My phone." he softly said. "It's missing."

"You must have left it at home."

"No. I'm sure I placed it inside my pocket." He is worried. Sendoh might be calling or texting him right now.

"I'm pretty sure I checked my car before we left. No phone on your seat." Hanagata stated. "But if you want, I can go back to the parking lot."

"No. No need. It's fine." Troubling people is something he can't stand.

"Are you sure?"

Rukawa just nodded. Worrying now will just interrupt his goal for tonight. He'll just explain this misfortune to Sendoh the next time they meet.

"Anyway, you can borrow mine to text or call Nana if you are worried about her." Hanagata said.

"Okay. Thank you." The disappointing part though is he got no proof when he start discussing this amazing experience with Sendoh and Nana.

He took a bite of the torched salmon and yes, the taste is as great as it looks.

Hanagata was infatuated yet again by the delight on Rukawa's face, expressed in every bite. His innocence is truly fascinating that he can't help but lock his gaze to watch him. "So how was it?" He took this chance to open up a conversation they both can relate to. Rukawa is silent and there are limited selection of topics to talk about. Gladly, he accepted his invitation. And this event is the perfect ticket to get closer to him so he'll grab every chance of it.

"Extravagant. I want to try more Hanagata-san."

Hanagata gently smiled. "I believe I told you, Tohru is fine, Rukawa."

That part was totally forgotten. Oh well, he'll do it next time.

"And don't worry, the night is still young. We got plenty of time. Just take a portion so you still have enough space. There are still nine stations we need to try."

Rukawa nodded blankly. It's hard to admit but he found Tohru a nice person and easy to talk to.

"Tohru!!!" A blonde approached their table. Probably one of the head chef because of his dark uniform.

"Oh Noah." Hanagata stood and shook the stranger's hand. The blonde let out a laugh. "I told you not to stood before me. You're making me look like a dwarf."

"Didn't know you'll be one of the chefs here. Good to see you again."

"Well. I'm going to open a new restaurant in Tokyo so I need exposure from the investors." he stated then turned to Rukawa. "Well. Well. Who do we have here? A friend of yours Tohru?" Rukawa perceived a mischievous twitch on the stranger's lips.

"Ah right. Noah, this is Rukawa, a colleague of mine. Rukawa, this man is Noah, one of my father's associates."

Noah bent and leaned a bit closer to Rukawa. "A face of a prince." Without consent, he abruptly took one pale hand and about to plant a kiss but Hanagata stopped him, alarmed by Rukawa's raging stares. "Noah. I'm sorry but Rukawa is not comfortable in this kind of gesture. Please let his hand go."

"Oh really?" Noah obliged. "My apologies my prince. My indecent act must have offended you but this is how I express my appreciation on good-looking people like you."

"Please forgive him Rukawa. This is how he really is. Too accommodating I must say."

Rukawa wanted to punch the man right there and then for his grossly act and calling him prince, but he has a goal tonight and no one can ruin it for him. So he nodded and agreed to let it pass for now.

Hanagata sighed in relief.

"Thank you my prince. But I do hope you'll find time to drop by my station. I'm very sure my delicacies will satisfy your taste." He turned to Hanagata. "Tohru, I'll see you around." then left their table in peace.

"Blonde jerk." Rukawa whispered.

"Wow. This is beyond my expectation Akira. I'm so glad you got an extra ticket." Yumi exclaimed in glee while Sendoh simply smiled back. His head started busying itself finding the location of a certain raven-haired. His eyes cursed the sight when the target is captured by his blue orbs. Sitting across the four-eyed admirer in an elegant place, like having a real date. His hands clenched inside his pockets. 'That should be me!' he thought.

"Akira?" Yumi called him, interrupting his bristly mind. Sendoh turned to his companion and rubbed his nape in apology for his blankness. "Oh yeah. Sorry. I was looking for my colleagues."

The girl smiled sweetly on him. "You're still the same."

Sendoh just scoffed politely. "So shall we?"

Hanagata continued on his chat while Rukawa responded with his limited vocabulary and sometimes with a nod only. His eyes suddenly captured familiar faces from a distant, trying to remember their names. 'Hikoichi and the Nagger.' he confirmed in his thoughts. It's no wonder, for the midget is a reporter's brother. Wait? How did he know that? He then noticed the young one waving from afar, "Captain, over here!"

His eyes widened. Captain? There could only be one person. He immediately turned his head behind and saw the same person on his mind. On a gray suit, with an inner black long sleeves, two buttons opened. Hair seems trimmed, still gel-ed up but some loosened a bit on his forehead. Sendoh is looking perfectly attractive, making his lips parted in admiration.

But this admiration quickly turns to wry upon recognizing the lady on his side. Yumi, as he recalled her name. The childhood friend. The first girlfriend as he mentioned. Dressed gracefully in elegance in an off-shoulder, body hugging night dress. Walking side by side like a couple. And it's troubling for they look good together. But why are they together? Didn't he say they are over? Or are they in the process of rekindling their child-like relationship? Or was it all a lie? The sight is unbearable so he just turned back to his meal. The thought of being lied to changes his mood in an instant. Or was it only the reason?

"Rukawa? Hanagata-san?" Hikoichi and Koshino halted their steps when they noticed Hanagata and Rukawa on the same table.

Hanagata gave a welcoming smile. "Hikoichi and Koshino, right? Apologies if I am wrong."

Hikoichi cried, being remembered by one of Kanagawa's strongest player is an honor for him. Koshino, on the other hand, is surprised by the unexpected twist of the night. A lot of questions need to be answered by the best friend himself.

Hanagata noticed Sendoh's presence approaching. His lips smirked. "Oh Sendoh. Unexpected of you to appear this time."

Sendoh smirked back. "Everyone seems to have a little something under their sleeves, aren't we?"

Hanagata snorted a little. "True to that. Are you an aspiring chef as well? Or just lurking around, checking the night?"

He shrugged. "Probably."

Koshino can feel the heat between the banters.

"Actually,..." Hikoichi interrupted. "My sister, Yayoi Aida, offered me four tickets."

"Oh Yayoi-san, the reporter." Hanagata says.

Hikoichi confirmed by nodding. "I sold it to captain and Koshino-senpai. Captain actually bought two--"

Sendoh cleared his throat to halt Hikoichi. "Hikoichi, we can't waste time, let's head to our table." He looked down at Rukawa, who is quietly munching his food, not caring about the commotion. He placed a hand on top of the pale head. "Nice to see you in a suit, Rukawa." he said before leaving their table. Rukawa's eyes looked up and watched Sendoh's retreating form. His hands gripped hardly on the silver utensils. Troubling questions are forming on his mind. If he bought two tickets, why didn't he invite him instead? Is he not a good companion? Or maybe because he's impressing the girl for another chance? If so, why does he have to lie about their status? Is it not worth telling him?

"Rukawa?" His edgy mind was interrupted by his very own companion of the night. "Are you okay?"

He paused for a while before responding. "Yeah. I like the food." he reasoned out to cover his blankness.

"Ah great. Shall we head to the next station?" The four-eyed politely asked. Rukawa nodded in response and stood from the table, allowing the other to lead him.

"Akira." Yumi called while they head to their table. "I thought you and Rukawa are going together?" she asked.

"Ah yeah. But he already got a ticket, so lucky for you, right?" He beamed at the lady.

"Indeed." she chuckled with a blush.

Hikoichi whispered to Koshino. "Koshino-senpai, is she captain's girlfriend? She's really pretty."

Koshino kept his silence. He knew the girl is an ex-girlfriend but he can't just blurt it out without the other's consent so he just ignored the young one. What troubles him more is the unexpected turn of events for his best friend.

"Do I bore you, Tohru?" Rukawa suddenly asked.

The four-eyed was surprised for it's the first time of the night, did Rukawa initiated a conversation. "Of course not Rukawa. I wouldn't have invited you if you do. To be honest, I'm enjoying myself when I'm with you. Hope you don't find that strange."

"It... it's fine." his quick reply which made Hanagata smiled in relief.

Rukawa took a quick glance on Sendoh's table, seems to be enjoying each other's company. And Sendoh is all smiles and laughing. So his intuition might be correct. Sendoh doesn't really like his company at all.

"My prince." The blonde chef called him with his unwelcomed nickname. "You're onto my dish now. It's truly an honor." He snapped his fingers signaling his crew. "Make sure you serve the best for the prince of the night." One of his numerous crews handed him a golden tray of Noah's unique dishes. The main entree captured his attention that all his problematic thoughts dispersed.

Without waiting to be seated, he quickly taste the dish right there in the counter. Finally, the perfect dish. A lemony buttered taste coated fish with spices that he couldn't decipher the ingredients but the taste is making him feel lighter. This is it. Lemon, Sendoh's favorite fruit. Fish, Sendoh likes fishing. The light flavor with a mix of sweetness that he couldn't understand, a true definition of Sendoh. And the plating enhances the perfection. All his anguish towards the man was gone because of the dish. "Teach me." he uttered, intently staring at the blonde.

"Pardon me my prince?"

"I want the recipe for this, teach me." he repeated with eagerness.

Hanagata interrupted. "Rukawa, unfortunately, this is not how this works... Sorry Noah..."

Rukawa ignored him and insisted his desire. "Give me the recipe." Despite his troubled feelings for the guy, he still wants to make the dish he promised. Not because of the bet but he really wanted to.

Noah gave out an enticing smile. "Okay. Since your beautiful face captivates me, I'll make an exception."

"Write it down." Rukawa commanded.

The blonde chef blurted a laugh. "You are persistent huh? But not now, as you can see my prince, I'm a little bit busy. How about I'll share it with you some other time? In another place perhaps?" He placed a pen and turned over a business card to the blank side. "Write down your number so I could message you when I'm free." he gave a wink.

Hanagata interrupted before Rukawa complied. "Noah. You have my number. You can message me then I'll call Rukawa myself."

"Oh come on Tohru. No need to babysit. He got a mind of his own."

Hanagata wanted to protest again but Rukawa grabbed the pen and wrote down his number.

Noah smirked. "Cool." He placed the card inside his own wallet. "Happy to know someone as beautiful as you appreciated my signatured dish." He handed another business card. "Keep in touch my prince." Rukawa took the business card but Noah held it firmly and said "Keep in mind, I don't do this to anyone."

Rukawa wondered what he meant but disregard it. All he cares about is the dish. He grabbed his tray of food and walked away.

Hanagata rushed to Rukawa's side when they are a few steps away from Noah's station. "Rukawa, promise me something. Never ever be alone with Noah. Message me if he invited you for a meetup. I'll accompany you."

Rukawa stared at him in confusion. "Why?"

"Please? Trust me on this." he pleaded. Rukawa can sense the worry on his eyes so he agreed and promise him. "Good. Let's dig in."

The seventh station. Rukawa is in line to get his seventh set of signatured dishes. Hanagata let him go alone as he needed to take a call outside.

"Hello there." he heard the most familiar voice calling from behind. As he is still moody about the other, he didn't respond nor even look back.

"You look lovely tonight." he heard him again, still, no response.

Sendoh bend a little, peeking at his face. "Am I being ignored or what?"

"What do you want?" he finally speaks but in a firm tone.

Sendoh felt a bit off but still give him his usual alluring smile. "Just wanted to check if my princess is enjoying himself?"

"As if you care." He quickly took the tray handed to him by the crew so he could escape him immediately. Sendoh held his arm, halting his attempt to leave. "Am I a stranger here Rukawa?"

He turned with his glaring foxy eyes. "Why? Am I not a stranger to you?"

Sendoh's eyebrows met. "What? What do you mean? Is there something wrong?"

"Don't bother answering. You would lie anyway." he added.

"Lie? When have I lie? Can you let me understand?"

"Let me go." He tried to freed his arm from Sendoh's grip but it tightens more. "I don't understand. Have I offended you?"

Rukawa gritted his teeth, hiding under his fringes. "I hate being lied to. I hate it. I hate you in a suit."

"Rukawa?"

"Is there a problem here Sendoh?" Hanagata interrupted the commotion between the two. Both turned to him. Sendoh's grip loosened that Rukawa was able to freed his arm and walked out of the scene.

"Hanagata-san, if you don't mind, this is between me and Rukawa." Sendoh uttered once Rukawa is gone.

"Oh I do mind Sendoh. As you can see, I am the friend tonight and if something is bothering him, I will get in between." he said. Sendoh remained silent. "I know we have the same affection towards him. I like Rukawa. I enjoyed his company. And tonight is my night for he allowed me. Could you at least respect that?" He turned around to leave but Sendoh called him. "Hanagata-san."

Hanagata looked back and is welcomed by the seriousness on Sendoh Akira's face. "Never compare your feelings with mine. It's incomparable to yours." Then he left.

Hanagata just curved his lips.

"Why are you holding back Akira?" Koshino asked the moment they are alone at the table. Sendoh paused before answering. Maybe it's time to let his long time friend know. "It's not that simple." He glanced at Hanagata and Rukawa's direction. Everytime he sees Rukawa exchanging words to the other, it's killing him. That's a sign that Rukawa is slowly opening himself to the other admirer.

Koshino narrowed. "What are you afraid of?"

"The connection. I can't lose it if I hurried things for him."

Koshino cut a portion of his steak. "It's not like I agreed about your feelings for the brat but this is so not you Akira. You seem to be holding yourself too much."

Sendoh chuckled a bit. "I know. It's hard but I can still endure this." He beamed.

Koshino sighed. "You keep complicating things Akira."

"And you keep nagging." he joked.

"Shut up!!!"

Rukawa felt a sudden rush of guilt after his rude act towards Sendoh. Did he really deserve that? The man who showed him nothing but kindness? A warm-hearted person who treated him with care and gentleness? And for one night. For just one night of misconceptions and one sided conclusion, he treated him like a stranger and call him a liar.

After the commotion between him and Sendoh, all the dishes afterwards gone bitter and tasteless. He suddenly felt unmotivated and just wanted to go home.

The event is wrapping up and the crowd is getting thinner. Hanagata and Rukawa are preparing to leave. "Wait for me here Rukawa. I forgot my scarf." Hanagata said and went back to their table.

Rukawa watched Sendoh's group marching towards the exit. He wanted to run to him and apologize for his rude behaviour. But how? He might be mad at him too. But what can he do with this heavy feeling? It is too bothersome.

"Okay. Let's go." Hanagata says as he approached.

"Tohru." he called.

"Yes?"

"I... I want to go home alone."

Hanagata was surprised. "Rukawa, I can't let you go home by yourself."

"I can manage."

Hanagata knew that if he insisted more, it will ruin this night. "Okay. But Rukawa, can we be friends? I really want to be your friend. Is that okay?"

Rukawa looked up to him. "It's fine. And thank you for this opportunity. I really appreciate it."

The sincerity on Rukawa's face bewitched Hanagata again. His lips curved. "Let's keep in touch Rukawa. Reach out if you need anything. I'll come to your aide."

Rukawa nodded and bowed his head a little, then headed to the exit.

"You are truly amazing Rukawa." he mumbled.

"Are you sure Yumi?" Being a gentleman, Sendoh offered himself to take Yumi home but the lady insisted to go home alone.

"It's alright Akira. Big girl now as you can see."

A cab stopped in front of them. Sendoh opened the door for her. "Akira." she called before she entered the taxi. "Thank you. It's a great night. And I am happy to spend time with you again." she stated with a hint of blush on her face.

Sendoh simply smiled and waited for her to get inside. "Don't worry about it. But message me if you got home okay?"

"I will. Thank you Akira." She bowed a bit and the cab went out.

Sendoh, while waiting for his teammates, felt a presence behind him. As he turned around, he saw Rukawa standing few steps away. He gave a quick smile. "I assume you are going home?"

Rukawa gave a little nod.

"So where is your companion?"

"He-he left."

Sendoh arched an eyebrow. "He left you alone? What an ass."

"No. I asked him to go alone."

"Ah I see." He shrugged.

An awkward silence surrounds their distance when a beep of a cab breaks it. Koshino and Hikoichi are already inside. "Akira, hop in. Let's go."

"Okay. Wait up-" A pull on his suit cuts him off. As he looked back, he saw Rukawa hiding under his fringes. "Ta-take me... home." he heard him mumbled.

Sendoh paused for a moment, observing the other. His lips curved gently to the side. "Okay." he softly replied. He turned to his teammates. "Go without me, Koshino."

Koshino, who clearly understands, gave him a smirk before their cab is out of sight.

Sendoh took the pale hand that is pulling the hem of his suit and enclosed it with his. He whistled to call for an empty cab. "Let's get inside?" he softly asked when their ride is in front.

Rukawa nodded and hopped in first.

From the five-star hotel to Rukawa's residence, neither of them talks. Awkward silence fills the vehicle for the whole twenty-minute ride until they reached Rukawa's house.

As they arrived, Rukawa turned his form to Sendoh, but eyes are lowered to the ground. "Tha-thank you."

"It's alright." Sendoh said.

"The cab went off. I'll help you get a ride."

"It's fine. I can manage. Get inside, the night is getting colder."

"I'll wait until you found one."

Sendoh placed a hand on top of his head. "Get inside Rukawa. I won't leave until you are. Have a good sleep, okay?"

Halfheartedly, he obliged and completely walked passed the gate. He can still feel Sendoh's presence, watching him, until he finally closed the main door.

For some reason, he couldn't move further inside the house. Troubled. Guilty. An unsettled mind. Pertubed feeling. And he can't stand it. So he turned the knob, opened the door and ran outside until he was able to catch a glimpse of Sendoh's back.

"Sendoh!" he called, panting in between.

Sendoh abruptly turns upon hearing his name. Eyebrows met. "What are you still... I told you to get-"

"Am I getting there?"

The tranquility of the night deepens by a question he couldn't imagine Rukawa himself would asked. Heart is battling of what to feel. But the question fluctuates the hope he's enduring for a long time.

"Answer me Sendoh." he lowly commanded.

A slight curl formed on Sendoh's lips. "I want to believe that you are, Rukawa. But I can't answer that myself."

"But how will I know? How will you know?"

"Then answer me this..." Sendoh softly says. "What am I to you?"

A simple question but caught Rukawa's voice.

"Apart from being a friend, basketball partner, rival. What am I to you?" he repeated.

The question continuously echoed inside Rukawa's head, trying to find the right word to respond with. "I... I don't know." He clenched a fist. One question, yet hard for him to answer. How weakling his mind can be?

"Rukawa, I want you to promise me..." he heard him speak again. "Searching for that place should never be your concern." He smiled. "I will do all the work here. I'll take you there myself."

Every word is a puzzle. None of it makes sense. "Then how can I get there faster?"

"Why Rukawa? What's stressing you? I told you I will wait for you remember?" he reminded.

Rukawa lowered his head. Unsure if blurting his troubles would make sense to the other.

"Rukawa--"

"If I made it there, will you give me your name?" he finally blurt it out.

The cold night grew warmer as the question made Sendoh astound. Mouth dropped to the floor. Cheeks are covered in deep crimson. Heart is pounding like a jack-hammer. Is the question for real? "Can--can you re-repeat that?"

Rukawa sterned. His reaction is not something he expects. If he made fun of him, that is more understandable. "What?"

"Your question, could you repeat and will you please say it calmly and slowly this time." he asked again, motioning his hand, wanting to make sure the question is spoken correctly.

"I--I said, I want to call you by name. Are you deaf?" Rukawa gnarled, annoyed by the repeated question and the unexpected reaction.

Sendoh paused for a while, making sure this time the question sinks in properly this time. "Oh." he said, prolonging it. "So that's what you mean." He chuckled, tapping his chest. "Hoo. You frightened me there."

Rukawa couldn't believe the response he is getting. The other is calmed while himself is in dilemma. "Go home." He attempted to leave but Sendoh closed the distance between them, captured an arm and pulled him to a tight embrace. Rukawa's eyes widened.

"Yes." he heard him whisper. "You can call me by my name, Kaede. You have all the rights to do so."

Rukawa's chest started throbbing. Unsure if it's from the arms wrapped around him or the way his given name was softly spoken by Sendoh's tender voice. His hands lifted themselves and grasped the sides of the gray suit of the other.

Silence surrounds them, feeling the rush of their pounding chest.

"How about a sample?" Sendoh started.

"Tch."

"Come on. Say Akira." he teased.

"I'll only call you if necessary, idiot."

"A-ki-ra. Simple right? Come on. Add it to your 50 worded dictionary." he joked.

Rukawa let out a sigh but gave in. "Akira. Stupid Akira."

Sendoh scoffed and buried his face further on Rukawa's shoulder, tightening his embrace. "I'm so happy right now Kaede."

"You-you're squishing me you idiot." he complained but for some reason, he can't find himself breaking the arms around him. The comfort and warmth it brings eases his mind at rest from all the troubles running around his head.

"That's your fault. You're fluttering me so much." he said. Sendoh move his head back but arms left wrapped on the slimmer one. "So, do you still hate me on a suit?"

Rukawa frowned, remembering his unreasonable action back at the hotel. The guilt rises up again. "About that... Sorry."

"Yeah. You snapped like a woman." Sendoh beamed making the other squint. "Care to explain why you call this handsome guy a liar? Hated his suit. And even treated him like a stranger."

"Why do you have to enumerate? Dumbass." he growled.

Sendoh showed a painful face. "Ugh. Accused as a liar? I'm deeply hurt." He bent down his head back to Rukawa's shoulder. Rukawa's face straightened. "Stop acting, idiot."

Sendoh let out a sigh. "To think I spent thousands to buy a ticket just for you and-"

Rukawa shrugged his shoulder so Sendoh could lift his head again and face him. "Wait. What do you mean?"

Sendoh returned to his gentle smile. "I bought a ticket for you but apparently you left with someone else. So I just gave it to someone who's also interested."

"Why you didn't give it to me?" he gnarled.

"It was supposed to be a surprise but you already got a date."

"It's not a date!" he growled. "And why does it have to be a surprise? You could just hand it to me."

"So I would look more handsome for my princess." he winked with a clack.

"Tch. I told you, I only see a dog... in a suit!"

He chuckled a little. "I was actually calling you but you never answered. Probably because you're too busy with your date."

"Stop saying it's a date!" He gnarled again. "I left my phone you dork."

"In a suit, on a two-seater table, in a fine dining ambiance. That's a date. And you seem to be enjoying yourself with that four-eyed freak."

"It's not!" he growled again. "And what about you? Telling me you and the girl are over and yet, you went with her? Skirt maniac. Did you gave my ticket to her?"

"Ah yeah. She's looking for one and besides, my supposed-to-be-date went out with someone else. Don't want to look pathetic."

Rukawa's eyebrow arched. "If I know, you wished for it to happen. Tch. Don't you dare use me as an excuse if you're getting back to her."

"It wouldn't have happened if you brought your phone with you." Sendoh narrowed his eyes. "Or did you left it on purpose so I couldn't interrupt you and your date? Tsk."

"It's not a date!!!" he insisted for the third time. "Tohru invited me but I will go with you--"

"Wait." Sendoh cuts him off, sterning. "What did you just say?"

Rukawa was taken aback, surprised by the other's sudden change of expression. "I said, I'll go with you if you--"

"No-no-no. The first part, before that."

Rukawa mulled to recall. "Tohru invited me--"

"Tohru?" he repeated in an irky tone.

Rukawa was confused but nodded innocently. "Tohru, that is his name. Didn't you know?"

Sendoh unwrapped his arms around him and stepped back, twitching his upper lip in the corner. "Tohru huh?" he repeated, bobbing his head lightly.

Confusion is on his scowling foxy eyes. "He said I should call him by name bec..."

"Stop!" Sendoh lifted a hand and rubbed his forehead. His face dramatically acted as if he is in total pain. Adding more convincing act by rubbing his own chest. "I've heard enough." He faced Rukawa with a narrowed eyes. "So long, Rukawa." intentionally using his last name, then turned around and walked away.

"What? Why? What did I do?" Clueless, yet again, wondering why his family name is used again. "Akira!" He called, catching up on the other's huge steps.

"Cheater!" Sendoh shouted.

"What? How? Can you explain?"

"Two-timing fox!" He exclaimed another.

"What the hell does that mean?"

Little did Rukawa know, Sendoh is smiling widely with a fluttered heart. For he is now convinced that Rukawa is close and a few steps away, to realize this beautiful thing blossoming between them.
