A few weeks had gone by since the fight with Torchwick and Team RRWBY has been focusing on classes the past few days. All except for Rex.

He had been trying to figure out what it was Paradox meant by "this world needed him. He knew it wasn't the grimm. He knew the others could take them down. The only lead he had was with what he told him, Salem.

Rex knew that if this villain was as bad as Paradox said and he needed the Meta-nanties in order to defeat her then he was scared to get his friends involved. He knew they can fight but with the possible threat looming ahead of them, he thought it'd be best just to keep them out of it.

That was one of the things he didn't enjoy about this world. School work. Even far from his own world, he couldn't even escape school. Bad enough Dr. Holiday had tried tutoring him in school work ever since he had a good score on a trigonometry test to play in a ping pong tournament, but now he had to do it again and he had no choice but to do it. And he had trouble sleeping. thinking about his problems.

Cafeteria

Team RRWBY, minus Rex, were currently sitting in the cafeteria with Team JNPR. Blake was looking at a book with details of things she wishes she could forget.

"Whatcha doin" said Yang as scooted closer to Blake. She quickly reacted and shut her book saying ,

"Just looking over notes from last semester."

Yang moved over quickly as she caught a grape that Nora flung.

"Boring" said Yang.

Jaune looked at team RRWBY and noticed they were missing the other R. "Hey where's Rex. Isn't he suppose to be here."

"Well Sun had stopped by earlier and said he wanted Rex to meet one of his teammates. He said his name was Neptune and he also said that he knew that they'll get along. So he'll be here shortly."

They were then all interrupted by a giant "BAMM" as it shook the table and drawing their attention to the front of the table as to see Ruby had dropped a big book on it.

"Sisters, friends,... Weiss."

"Hey" whined Weiss.

"Four score and seven minutes ago, I had a dream."

"This should be interesting" said Yang as she caught another grape.

"A dream that the four, Sorry, 5 of us would become a team and have the most fun any team had ever had... EVER" said Ruby with excitement.

"Did you steal my binder" was all Weiss said.

"I was meaning staring off this semester with a bang" cheered Yang.

"I always start off a semester with a... Yang" punned Yang as she tried to get a standing ovation by saying,

"Huh. Huh. Come on guys" said Yang waiting for laughter but just got an apple to the head followed by a "booooo" from Nora.

"Guys it's been a good few weeks and with more exchange students coming and the tournament at the end of the year, our semester is going to be great but classes start tomorrow, which is why I've made a list of fun activities to do today" said Ruby.

"I don't know whether to be happy or scared of what you have in store" said Weiss as Yang just threw an apple back at Nora.

"I think I'll just sit this one out" said Blake holding her book.

"Well I think that not matter what, whatever we do, it will be fun as a..." SPLAT went a pie at Weiss's face. The team looked at JNPR and saw Nora hiding behind Ren.

Meanwhile outside

Sun, Rex, and Neptune were walking to the cafeteria as Sun was explaining the battle that went down a few weeks ago. When he told Neptune about Rex's powers, he didn't believe him. Until Rex formed his Boogie pack and flew into the sky and then landed with his Punk Busters. Neptune was shocked at what he saw and tried asking him what his powers were. Rex just said "I got them from a crackerjack box" said, not wanting to spill his secrets to some one he just met. Neptune just chuckled at his response.

He was also surprised to see someone else but him wearing goggles. The two instantly hit off as they began describing what their goggles can do. Sun just chuckled at how nerdy the two were being. They got closer to the cafeteria as Sun continued the battle story.

"And the best part is she's a Faunus" as he was talking about Blake. He then gasped that he just blurted that out.

"Way to got there genius" said Rex sarcastically.

"But that's a secret. So keep quiet. And be cool. You got it."

"I got it man" said Neptune raising his hands in defense.

"You better. I don't want to screw this up. The people here are the coolest. No offense to you guys" said Sun as food began hitting the wall from inside.

"None taken" said Neptune.

"Alright they are just behind those doors. I'm excited for you to meet them so play it cool."

"Come on man. Dudes already cool. He got the goggles so you know he's going to be chill" said Rex with his hand on Neptune's shoulder as Neptune nodded in response.

"You two are dorks" said sun giggling.

"Hey" said Neptune as Rex put his arm in front of him saying,

"It's not worth it man. He just doesn't get us" said Rex.

"Yea you're right. Not worth the effort" huffed Neptune.

The three of them walked into the room as the students began running away. In the room, Rex saw JNPR and his team fighting with food as weapons.

"I'm gone for a few minutes and all of hell breaks loose" said Rex as he began walking over to the girls.

The girls were haven fun against JNPR and it seemed they all were at a stalemate. They began to charge at Team JNPR but both parties crashed into a blue wall. They all grunted in pain and feel down onto the ground. They all turned their heads towards their fall, only to see Rex standing tall and saw he had his shields up and were the things that made the wall.

The girls turned to see Rex but saw him with anger in his eyes, making them a little scared

"I can't believe that you girls decided to fight your friends over there, cause a ruckus, scare everyone out of the building and think to have a food fight..." scolded Rex at his team.

Ruby tried to say something "uh well... uh you see uh" was all she could say.

"...Without Me" complained Rex. The team's fear turned into glee as they sw that he was joking and smiled at his response and looked toward the opposing team. They then grew a look of fear on their face as they knew that at this point, they were screwed.

Rex stood in front of his team and held his right arm out and formed his Slam Cannon. The maw on the back opened up and took a big chunk of ground and food saying

"We're going to need a clean up on isle 4" as he shot at JNPR. His team then joined in and began attacking them.

Sun just smiled at what was happening and said

"I love these guys" turning to Neptune to see him covered in food.

"Well I'm glad someone does" grumbled Neptune.

Then doors flew open showing Glynda Goodwitch storming in. She then began returning all the tables back to where they were.

"Children. Don't play with your food" scolded Glynda.

She saw the team began conversing with each other and grumbled at them. Then she felt a hand on her shoulder and turned to see Ozpin.

"Let it go" was all he said.

"But they are suppose to be the defenders of the world."

"And they will be. But right now there still children. So let's let them play the part" said Ozpin as he began walking away.

Timeskip

Out in a loading area, A grey haired boy named Mercury and a green haired girl named Emerald were walking in as they saw the white fang unload some shipments as they made their way towards Roman, who had a couple of bandages from the dock battle. He turned to them and said

"Oh great. She sent the kids again. Feels just like the divorce" as he draped his arms around their shoulders.

"Ugh. Stop giving us nasty thoughts, will you" groaned Emerald.

"It was a joke. But this might tell me where you've been all day" said Roman holding a white piece of paper. Emerald gasped as she realized she had that in her pocket.

"I'm a professional, sweetheart." He glanced at the paper and said "where did you get this address".

"Wouldn't you like to know" snarked Emerald.

"Yes I would. Now where have you been all day."

"Cleaning up your mess. One of them at least" pointed Mercury at Roman.

"I had that under control" retorted Roman.

"Yea until you got your butt handed to you by a couple of kids" said Emerald.

"And Two tickets and a bag said otherwise" said Mercury.

"Listen here you little punk, if it were up to me I would take you and your little friend here and..."

"Do what Roman" said a voice from above.

"Uh not kill them" said Roman.

"Cinder" said Emerald.

"I thought I told you to eliminate that would be runaway" said Cinder walking towards him.

"Well, I was trying to..."

"He was going to try and escape. Mercury and I thought it would be best to kill the rat" said Emerald acting smug.

"Silence. Didn't I tell you to keep you hands clean while in Vale" scolded Cinder as Roman made hand gestures at the teens.

"Remember don't think. Just obey" said Cinder.

"Yes ma'am" said Emerald backing away.

"And you" said Cinder pointing at him "why wasn't this job done sooner."

Roman relied by pointing at the crates behind him.

"Sorry if I've been busy trying to collect ever dust crystal I could find."

"But you're still missing some" Mercury pointed out.

"Don't start with me on that kid. It's all cause of those stupid kids. And ooh that boy" said Roman as he grumbled at the last bit.

"Yes, we are well aware of your situation, though I have yet to see these strange kids.

"Speaking of which, would it kill you to tell me your grand master plan so then my operations will go a lot smoother" complained Roman.

"Oh Roman. You'll know what you need to know when you need to know. But never mind that. We're done with dust for a while" said Cinder walking away.

"Have the white fang move everything out. I'll send you coordinates."

"Coordinates" questioned Roman as Cinder turned around saying "we are moving into phase 2."

Mercury and Emerald followed her as she continued "As for us three, we are going to Beacon. And I must say I am rather excited this time around."

"Why are you excited to go there of all places" questioned Emerald.

"Because I'm curious as to see this Rex boy that gave Roman quiet the trouble" said Cinder as they got on an airship. "I'm curious as to see his powers up close in person." Then Cinder finished her sentence in an devious voice. "I'm curious as to see how well he does in battle" as the door closed and they took off for Beacon.
