Chapter 11: Allies
I was walking with Peeta to go to the training center. I go to the station where i left of, the knot station. After half an hour doing knots I'm getting really good at it, so the instructor shows me how to do a trap that makes someone dangle in the air. I success right away. After practising a couple more knots i go to the Poison stand where you can make the most dangerous poison with plants in the arena. I was good at it, I know a lot of plants and I'm used to make remedies with plants but this time it was a mortal remedy. I train a little more with the sword and the Careers laugh at me so i stop. I try to go to the tree climbing station i can not climb very well. When I was about to fall off the fake tree i see a small hand held out for me. «I can help you climb.» Says a voice quietly. When I'm up on the tree i see Rue the girl from 11. «Thank you for helping me.» I say. « Since you helped me here i could help you with knots and traps.» She was struggling earlier with the knots. «Sounds great!» She says with a slight smile. Every other day of training we helped each other. We got pretty close. Every day we ate together with Peeta it was fun. The only problem was that i knew the careers saw us as a weak alliance and they would kill us in a couple of days. I don't know how we can overpower them if we even can. I talked about it with Rue but seems like she doesn't want to talk about it. Every day as we sat for lunch i thought about it. One day i got an idea the Careers asked Thresh who was Rue's district partner to join them but he refused. Maybe since they see him as a threat he would be the perfect ally.
