Kara was beaming as she skipped through Catco with her coffee.
"Why so cheery?" Snapper asked his eyes narrowing.
"Just in a good mood," Kara replied as she beamed at him before walking off towards her desk, she smiled when she saw Lena leaning against it.
"Hey gorgeous," she whispered as she let their fingers graze.
Kara blushed as she sat down, "hi."
"Aww am I making you nervous?" Lena joked as she leaned closer to the blonde.
Kara was about to respond when they were interrupted.
"Kara a word my office now," James demanded as he smiled at Lena before walking off.
Kara rolls her eyes as she squeezes Lena's arm before walking off towards where James was waiting in his office.
"Close the door," he snaps as he sits down.
"What's going on?" Kara asks as she sits down in one of the chairs facing his desk.
"Someone saw you kissing Lena in the conference room," James tells her his voice angry as he stands up and goes to sit on the front of his desk, he crosses his arms as he waits for her to speak.
Kara's heart hammers in her chest, "ummm."
"Well?" James pushes.
"It's no one's business," Kara finally snaps as she stands up.
"You know the rules, no dating coworkers, especially the CEO," he snaps.
"Coming from the person who has been pursuing her like a cat in heat!" Kara yells at him causing some passersby's to glance into the office.
"Lower your voice," James hisses. "I'm the boss I can do as I please."
Kara couldn't believe her ears as she glares daggers at him.
"You may leave now and send Lena in." James demands as he goes back to sitting behind his desk.
Kara storms pass everyone as she grabs her things.
"Hey are you okay?" Lena asks gently as she takes her hands.
"I have to go, James wants to see you," Kara tells her as she pulls away and storms out of the building.
Lena's eyes narrow as she storms into James's office and slams the door. "What the hell did you do to her?"
James looks startled as he sets his pen down, "have a seat," he tells her gently.
"What the hell did you say to her?" Lena asks him again her voice full of rage as her green eyes narrow.
"Someone saw the two of you kissing, I told her it's against policy which it is," he tells her.
Lena laughs, "you've been trying to get in my pants ever since that mistake of a kiss."
James frowns, "it was a great kiss and I'm the boss I can bend the rules."
"Correction I'm the boss and you're fired."
James mouth drops open, "what?"
"You heard me," Lena snarls. "Get your shit and leave."
"You can't fire me," he tells her as he steps into her personal space.
"Watch me," she tells him as she screams for security. She watches with a smile as they escort him out of the building.
"You quit?" Alex practically yells at her sister as she paces in front of her.
"You didn't hear what he said," Kara responds.
"I don't care what that prick said, you love your job!"
They both looked towards the door when they heard a knock.
"It's Lena," Kara mumbles as she sits down.
"Kara darling let me in," Lena begs as she knocks again.
Alex goes to open the door, giving her a sad smile as she leads her into the living room where her sister is sitting.
"Are you okay?" Lena asks as she goes to sit beside her.
"I'm sorry Lena, I didn't mean to just storm out like that," Kara tells her as tears well up in her blue eyes.
"Hey stop, you don't have to apologize," Lena tells her as she wipes them away.
"James used to be so kind," Kara cries out.
"Power can change people sweetheart," Lena tells her as she takes the offered tissues Alex hands her. She hands it to Kara as she rubs her back.
"He was so mean," Kara whimpers as she blows her nose.
"Well he won't be a problem anymore," Lena tells her.
Kara looks up, "what do you mean?"
"I fired him," Lena smiles.
"Go Luthor!" Alex yells as she and Lena high five.
"You did?" Kara asks surprised.
"No one talks to my girlfriend hat way," Lena grins as she kisses her forehead.
"I love you," Kara sniffles as she wipes her eyes.
"I love you too."
"I'm going to head out, call if you need anything," Alex tells them as she heads for the door.
"Thank you," Lena tells her as before the door closes. She kisses Kara's forehead before standing up, "how about I order us something from Noonan's while you find something to watch on Netflix?"
Kara smiles, "sounds wonderful."
Lena smiles back as she walks towards the kitchen to place the order.
Kara grabs the remote as she began to flip through the TV shows and movies on the Que.
"Food will be here in thirty minutes," Lena says as she sits beside her.
"Thank you," Kara replies as she hits play. The Office begins to play as she grabs a blanket and drapes it over them.
"I just want to see you happy."
Kara feels bad as Lena gets up to answer the door and pay for the food.
"I'll go get some plates," Lena tells her as she begins opening cabinets.
"Lena I'm sorry," Kara says as she takes one of her hands.
"For what?" the CEO asks confused.
"I know I'm being all mopey and here you are being so sweet and understanding," Kara began but Lena cut her off with a kiss.
"Don't apologize, James was being an ass. It's okay to be upset about it," Lena tells her as she kisses her cheek before grabbing one of the plates.
Kara smiles as they began making their food.
Lena shuts off the TV as she turns towards her girlfriend, "feeling any better?"
"I'm great, thank you," Kara tells her as she squeezes her hand.
"Glad to hear it," Lena beams as she kisses her nose causing the blonde to giggle. "Just promise me you won't let that asshole bring you down again," Lena calls over her shoulder as she loads the dishwasher.
"Deal," Kara replies as she wraps her arms around Lena's waist and begins kissing her neck.
"Okay you know I can't be held accountable for my actions when you do that," Lena moans as Kara nips at her earlobe.
"Oh I know," she whispers as Lena turns around and pulls her into a kiss.
Clothes are quickly discarded as Lena pushes Kara down onto the bed before crawling on top of her. She grins as she sees the lust in Kara's eyes.
Kara grabs her face as she pulls her into another kiss.
It's three thirty when both women collapse next to each other.
"Wow," Lena gasps as she grabs a bottle of water and takes a long swig.
"I may be a super hero but I think I may actually be sore," Kara tells her as she takes the offered water.
Lena smirks as she kisses her before laying her head on her chest and drifting off to sleep.
