Izuku's stomach was full of butterflies. The exam day had come before he and everyone knew it; his training with his class along with additional sparring sessions with Ida and Ailene made the time fly. He knew he was ready, but his anxiety flared due to the stress of expectations he himself made.

He wished Ailene could come watch them, but she had something come up and would not be able to watch them. He didn't pay it much mind as Kaminari and Ashido dragged him into a conversation about the coming exam.

Ailene was beginning to regret going along with this meeting. She was currently sandwiched between Midnight and Black Widow, both in blatant attractive civilian attire and making the smartly dressed teen feel extremely underdressed, in the private room of a fancy restaurant with Fisk Jr. just across the mahogany table from them.

"Seriously?" the head honcho with two bodyguards behind him began. "You brought the hero that has no problem showing off her kinks and a red-headed assassin?"

"To be fair: it wasn't my idea to bring Midnight," said Ailene. The number of people in the room was evenly balanced; neither side having the apparent upper hand. She knew both parties were armed to the teeth in some way. She wore quartz crystals under her clothes, charged with energy and ready for use. Midnight was ready to unleash her Quirk if needed and Natasha had her own weapons stashed somewhere. The mafia men on the other side of the room had their own hidden weapons no doubt. "Though I trust her over you any day of the week."

"Really? You don't trust me?"

"I trust that you've got an agenda if that's something."

"Heh, I can't argue with that. My family owes you a life debt after you saved my father's life."

"It was the doctors at the hospital that saved his life; I just did what I could to help."

"You know that's not true. If you hadn't intervened, my father would've died before the ambulance could get to him. You kept his heart from destroying itself and give the surgeon the needed time to operate. Like it or not, we owe you a huge favor, but that's not why I'm here."

"Then what brought you to Japan, in the middle of yakuza territory no less? Last I checked: the main gang here and your group have vast...issues with each other."

"Overhaul is the least of my concerns right now," he pulled out a USB drive and slid it over to her. "There's someone from Europe that has his eyes on you. I tried pulling up any information on him, but I couldn't find anything past basic information. He's the leader of a Gaelic mafia that gladly kidnap women with favorable Quirks from all over the world. My sources from inside the group have informed me he's keeping a disturbing amount of tabs on you, and I'm worried you might be one of the women on their list to abduct."

"Favorable Quirks? As in powerful Quirks that you would see in past Quirk Marriages?" She handed the drive to Natasha, giving the older woman a quick glance to see the hidden concern.

"Yes, and most of these women are later found dead after they've had children."

The tension became almost unbearable.

"Agent Romanoff," she adressed her friend in English, "is there a way I can legally get my axe over here?"

"You have an axe?!" exclaimed Midnight.

"Correction, she has a tomahawk for emergencies, but close enough," said the red head. "It'll take a while and a lot of paperwork for you to legally have it here, but I'll get Coulson to get the ball rolling after this meeting."

"You could keep a knife with you in the mean time," Richard surprised them. "It is legal for you to have a small pocket knife on you, even if your not officially a Hero."

The meeting ended shortly after that, and Natasha didn't relax until the three women were back in the confines of UA where Agent Coulson and Nedzu were waiting to hear how things went. It didn't take long for the SHIELD agents to start making calls to get Ailene's weapon to Japan.

Izuku was relieved he had passed the exam. Unfortunately, Bakugo and Todoroki didn't pass.

"Hey everyone! I heard you guys mostly passed!" Ailene welcomed them back that evening after they returned. "Congrats!"

"Thanks, Smith-chan! How did your day go?" he inquired, curious as to what called her away.

"Not bad, but still not great. I got news that something's going on and SHIELD has me on stand by for emergencies."

"Really? What's going on?" asked Uraraka.

"Can't talk about it until more information comes in; there's not enough intel to speak of right now, just that I need to be ready for anything. Oh!" Ailene snapped her fingers, remembering something. "Before I forget: another Avenger intern is attending UA!"

"For real?!" that got everyone's attention, even moody Bakugo was paying attention at that. Kirishima spared no time asking, "Who is it?"

"You'll wanna get out your notebook, Midoriya. You're gonna fangirl over this." that just raised everyone's excitement as he quickly whipped out his worn out notebook and opened it.

"Is it Spider Man?" he asked, knowing there were stars in his eyes.

"Got it in one!"

"You two interned together with the Avengers! He's based in New York, so he's closer to the Avenger Tower and got called in several times to help out! His Spider Quirk gives him the ability of spiders like super strength, producing webs from his wrists, and climbing on most surfaces."

"Yep, and he's a science wiz with a lot of gadgets to enhance his Quirk and cover most of his weak points. Tony Stark mentored him because of that while I got paired up with Bruce Banner to learn first aid and medical training."

"Wait, you two didn't get to choose who mentors you?" asked Iida. "Didn't you two apply for internships or was the process different?"

"The Avengers are ridiculously popular in the Americas, so they don't just allow people to apply for those positions," she explained. "They're also a special branch of SHIELD, which is a military branch like the Marines. If they're interested, they scout you and then offer you a chance. SHIELD knew the extent of my Quirk before it became public, so I was on their radar before the Avengers were formed into the Hero group it is today. Spider Man got their attention from his vigilante escapades last year and was offered an internship by Mr. Stark himself. I got Dr. Banner as my mentor because I wanted focus more on rescue scenarios."

"Were there any other interns with you?" asked Yaomomo.

"No, it was just us two."
