"Today, Hamilton is a household name in technology innovation." Catherine starts her speech at the gala when a message appears over her original speech.

'Hey Catherine. Great speech! But I have a bit of a last minute rewrite.
The Wonderland Gang is here, armed and at the ready.

Catherine looks around and knows she can't risk the lives of everyone as she notices Alice beat both Peter and Kate as they couldn't get word to them in time and Alice made it so the signal on their phones won't work.

So their only hope was to get there as Spider-Man and Batwoman.

"Tonight...you honor me as one of Gotham's heroes, an honor that I...bought and paid for...quite literally with...blood money. My company makes millions by putting weapons of war in the hands of Gotham's criminals and my husband rakes in even more by protecting you from them. Quite the scam we've been running, wouldn't you say?"

Jacob and Mary look extremely worried as they begin to get looks from the others in the room.

"What my husband doesn't want you to know is that the true villians of Gotham don't go by the name Joker, Riddler, or Alice. Gotham's true enemies are right in front of you." Catherine says as she begins to bleed and falls unconscious as Mary and Jacob race to help her.

The others try to leave and the Crows begin to hold them hostage, revealing the Wonderland Gang.

On the other side of the doors, the Kane siblings leap down in their hero attire and have leaped into action to start taking them down and freeing the people inside.

Whilst in the room itself, the black, red, and blue suited Spider-Man as he leaps down.

"What's happening, guys?" Peter asks as he webs a few of their guns and they begin opening fire on him.

"Really? You're opening fire on a guy wearing a full bulletproof suit?" Peter asks the gang as he pulls out a web grenade and activates it before throwing it at the men and rendering most of them unconscious or stuck to the walls.

One tries to keep everyone in, but Peter uses him as a battering ram as he webs the ceiling and swings at him and sends the member flying into the door, breaking them.

Kate and Peter look down to the crash and are shocked when they see the second Spider-Man.

Not only that, but the fact he looks exactly identical to Peter, just with an altered suit.

Before they could question the third hero, more Wonderland members come in and the siblings keep fighting them off as the people start making their way out.

With Jacob, Catherine and Mary, Alice strolls in and Jacob realizes the Crows he brought were all Wonderland members as he raises a gun to Jacob.

"Hello! Catherine, you don't look look so well." Alice says.

"You did this." Jacob realizes.

"Stay away!" Mary warns as she holds her dying mother.

"For it was all very well to say, 'drink me', but you should have first looked to see whether it's marked poison or not." Alice says.

"You poisoned her?" Mary asks.

"Group effort. I used a Catherine Hamilton recipe, Project 4782. Ring any bells?"

"4782?" Jacob asks, recognizing the number.

"Catherine, do you want to tell them?" Alice asks the dying woman. "I think her internal organs are liquefying. I'll just tell you. It's a deadly neurotoxin designed to kill without mercy. First, there is the dizzy spells and then the nosebleeds and then comes muscle paralysis and...respiratory failure, but lucky for us, Hamilton developed an antidote."

"okay. Mom, just hold on until we can get the antidote." Mary tells Catherine.

"Oh, no, my dear, I'm confusing my stories." Alice realizes. "Hamilton never even bothered to develop an antidote." Alice says.

"If she dies, so do you!" Jacob promises.

"Oh, daddy. She made a choice." Alice informed him and now they see what she's saying. "Maybe if she'd made better choices in the past, we wouldn't be here right now."

"You're just gonna let her die?" Mary asks.

"Aw, Mary, my darling, impetuous stepsister, I'm not a total monster." Alice says as her henchman knocks out Jacob and leaves. "No. I found a solution, a universal cure-all all the way from Coriana." She pulls out a small vial from her purse and shows a orange liquid.

"Where's Coriana?" Mary asks, never hearing about it before.

"Hmm, on a map or two." Alice answers. "It's made from a desert rose that blooms only on the island. One prick of its thorn can kill you on the spot, but harness the flower and nurture its serum, and it gives you life." She says as she pours in the serum into a cup of tea.

"What do you want?" Mary asks, knowing that she won't go through all of this for free.

"Just a simple apology...for all the pain you've caused." Alice says as she brings the tea over to them.

"I'm sorry...Alice." Catherine apologizes.

"I just don't believe you." Alice states.

Peter runs and kicks another member of the Wonderland gang as his dark suit counterpart webs the others guns while Kate runs and beats another of them out.

"We need to get to Catherine and Mary." Kate tells Peter.

"Kinda busy!" Peter yells as he leaps and yanks himself towards another rabbit and kicks him in the face.

"I'm on it!" Dark Spider-Man says as he races up the stairway.

"Think we can we trust that guy?" Kate asks Peter as another swarm of Wonderland Gang comes running at them.

"We don't have a choice." Peter says as he races at the men, leaping off the walls and fighting off the entire wave as Kate runs in and throws several Batarangs to take them down.

"She said she was sorry!" Mary tells Alice.

"You think that I enjoy watching a daughter lose her mother?" Alice asks. "I was just inches from my own mother's head floating down the Gotham river after our car plummeted off the bridge."

Mary turns back to Catherine whos getting closer and closer to death and can barely speak.

"Mom, please, I can't lose you. Please just try." Mary pleads for her to find the strength.

"I'm a mother." Catherine mumbles as she renders all the strength she has. "Alice...when I saw Kate grieving, I saw my own daughter. I just wanted to take away her pain, but in trying to take away Kate's pain, I gave you s lifetime of it. It's all my fault, Alice. All the lost years, all the agony you endured, it's all my fault. It's all...I'm truly sorry."

"Thank you, Catherine. I do believe you've earned a draught of this tea." Alice puts the cup down just as Mary's nose begins to bleed. "Oh, dear, not you too. Tell me you didn't both drink the champagne. Oh, that's such a shame, seeing as there's only enough antidote for one. Do choose wisely."

With that, Alice get's up and leaves them.

"Okay, maybe if we split it, maybe we'll buy enough time to get to the emergency room." Mary says as he tries to get the cup to Catherine's lips.

"No, Alice would have accounted for that." Catherine says.

"No, Mom, we have to try, okay?" Mary says but Catherine isn't letting her do it.

"Mary, drink it."

"No. There has to be another way." Mary states, not wanting to loose her mother.

"Mary, I'm your mother. Drink it. It's okay." Catherine says and Mary drinks it and holds her dying mother.

Just then, the doors are kicked open and the dark Spider-Man is standing there.

"Spider-Man! Help! Please!" Mary pleads as he races over to her and he knows what's happened to her.

Because to happened to his partner once.

"There's only one thing I can do." Peter says as he goes through his utility belt and pulls out a syringe.

"What are you doing?" Mary asks.

"My blood can keep me safe from disease, gas, and poison. If given to another person, it can kill any disease in blood. It can save her." Peter promises as he draws back a sleeve and begins drawing blood.

"How do you know that?" Mary asks.

"My brother was poisoned with something similar." Peter explains to her. "I was able to cure him with a syringe of my blood. Trust me."

Mary takes a step away as Peter takes Catherine's hand and injects his blood into her.

Catherine begins to breath slowly and more steady and they see it's already working.

"Thank you." Mary says as Peter makes his way out.

Kate and Peter finally finish all of the Wonderland members and look to see the dark Spider-Man leap out the window.

"Who was that?" Peter wonders.

"I have no idea." Kate says and now they need to get out as Sophie leads the real Crows in and arrests the Wonderland members.

Catherine was taken to the hospital and it seems Spider-Man's blood did most of the work to stop the poison and they were able to save her.

Alice is now without an army, without a Mouse, but now that they see just how far she is willing to go, they question whether or not she can be saved.

Can you save someone who's doing everything in her power to show she doesn't want to be saved?
