Chapter VIII Bakugou's Start Line and Pokemon's Existence
Everyone had finished their exam but only Midoriya and Pikachu got themselves badly injured during the tests. The rests are completely uninjured apart from exerting their Quirks and Aileen excuses herself to go to the infirmary to heal Midoriya's injury as All Might allowed her by giving her a pass.
"Good work everyone!" All Might congratulated them for their successful first successful combat test. "We didn't have major injuries other than Young Midoriya and Young Pikachu either! Young female Sycamore left early because she offered to heal Young Midoriya by helping Recovery Girl." He explained the blue-haired girl's absence.
"Lucky." Mineta muttered and Gallade narrowed his gaze at the purple ball-haired boy but remained silent.
"You guys took this on seriously! You all did a good job for your first training!" He gives them a thumbs up.
Asui raises her hand. "To have such a proper class after Aizawa-sensei's class... it's kind of anti-climactic." Most of them nodded their heads at her comments about their homeroom teacher.
"We're free to have proper classes, as well!" All Might declared and raising his hands up. "Well then, I must review the results with Young Midoriya and Young Pikachu! Change and return... to the classroom!" He dashed off quickly before anyone could blink.
"All Might's amazing!" Kaminari commented with an awestruck look on his face.
"Why was he in such a hurry?" Ojiro asked curiously.
"So cool..." Mineta muttered.
"Check to Lee-lee after we dress, Gallade?" Ophelia asked the blade Pokemon curiously while holding the usual stiff Meowstic.
"Yeah." The blonde girl and Gallade decided to head first before anyone could ask them questions.
"How are you feeling, Pikachu?" Aileen asked after she finished healing Midoriya and Pikachu.
"Better and thank you, Aileen-san." Pikachu thanked the blue-haired and eating the poke food from her homemade. "How did you know what I am?"
"That's because I came from our world and Trainer too." Aileen answered truthfully and grabbing one of her Pokeball to call someone. "Gallade is with Ophie so those two might be here soon or not. Here, I'll show you. Sylveon, I choose you!" She throws the ball into the air and the ball opens as it glowed.
"Aileen!" Sylveon greeted her Trainer happily. Sylveon is a quadruped, mammalian Pokemon covered with pale cream-colored fur with pink feet, ears, and tail. It has light blue eyes, long ears with blue interiors and thicker fur, a tiny nose, and two stray tufts of fur on top of its head. There are two bows on its body: one at the base of its left ear and one on its neck. Each bow is pale cream with a pink center and trails a pair of ribbon-like feelers. The feelers are pale cream with light blue tips. Before the tip of each feeler is pink and then a dark blue stripe. It has slender legs with small, three-toed paws and a fluffy, slightly curved tail.
"Your Sylveon is adorable, my dear." Recovery Girl commented as she's one of the staff members who know about Clara, Ophelia and Aileen's situation.
"Hello, I'm Sylveon." Sylveon greeted the elder lady and raises her ribbon-like feelers to wrap around her hand.
"Aren't you the polite one." She chuckled and allowing Sylveon to wrap her hands using her ribbon-like feelers. "Who is she exactly, Aileen?"
"Roto." Aileen called her Pokedex and it pops out from her hidden pockets.
"Sure zztt. Sylveon, the Intertwining Pokemon and an evolved form of Eevee. Sylveon affectionately wraps its ribbon-like feelers around its Trainer's arm as they walk together." Roto showed the picture of Sylveon while explaining the Pokemon.
"All this time..." Pikachu sniffs and wiping his tears. "I thought I was the only Pokemon who would exist in this world." He loves his new family but it feels lonely to think he's the only one in this world.
"Pikachu." Sylveon called the mouse Pokemon. "You're not alone and you have us." She wraps Pikachu using her ribbons and pulls him close. "The girls are trying their best to save other Pokemon from harm and bringing them back home."
"I've noticed some people are beginning to start suspicious of them or befriend." Aileen spoke up with a worried look on her face. "Clara, Ophie and the other Champions including myself are having a meeting on how to solve this problem."
Recovery Girl feels sorry for Aileen having a huge responsibility on how to break the news that Pokemon exists from another world. Aileen is been working non-stop and barely has time for herself because she wanted the Pokemon to be in peace.
"Are you going to tell Midoriya about your secrets, Aileen?" Recovery Girl asked her curiously.
"Yeah, he deserves to know." She smiles tiredly and finished her 12th bottle of water. "I can see the bond between him and Pikachu. Who knows... I might use him as an example to show proof that people who have Quirks or Quirkless have every right to bond with a Pokemon." Aileen explained and pursed her lips. "Recovery Girl, can I ask you a favor?"
"What is it, my dear?" She tilted her head curiously.
"In case- the whole world knows their existence about them... I'll ask Principal Nezu's approval to send one of my Pokemons to help you run the clinic. It helps you to learn how to look after the Pokemon who's desperate and need your medical assistance. If that is okay with you." Aileen asked Recovery Girl's permission. The elder lady needs the help all she could get because none of them including herself treat a Pokemon before.
She smiles and nodded her head. "I would like that, my dear."
"Thank you." She grabs her Pokeball. "Sylveon return." The red beam shots at Sylveon and goes back to the Pokeball. "Pikachu, can you tell Midoriya-san we need to speak with him important later."
"Sure!" Pikachu puffs out his chest proudly. "You can count on me."
"Thank you. Tell Midoriya that your kin must be kept in a secret." Aileen explained with a serious look on her face. "In order to do that... you explained to everyone it's rare for an animal to have a Quirk. You evolve because you treasure your friendship and helps you grow strong. Never mention your final evolution is Raichu."
"Got it!" Pikachu agreed to the plan and willing to help them until Aileen breaks the news of their existence soon. He never imagines meeting someone who's determined enough to save other Pokemon and bring them back to the world. The blue-haired girl didn't use force to take him back to the world but to accept he's staying Midoriya's side. The mouse Pokemon thinks of the worst possible case of being alone in this world until he meets Aileen personally and proving him wrong. Midoriya is lucky to have a friend and keeping her identity secret as a Pokemon Trainer.
"Pikachu... how did Midoriya-san found you?" Aileen couldn't help but asked him curiously.
"Izu found me at the bird's nest when I was still in the Poke egg at that time." Pikachu answered truthfully and Aileen nodded her head quietly.
"I see..." She stares at the unconscious dark green-haired boy and smiles. "You never cease to amaze me, Midoriya-san."
"How is Midoriya-san, Aileen-chan?" Uraraka asked once Aileen comes into their classroom.
"Recovery Girl couldn't heal him properly because he damaged his arm badly." Aileen answered truthfully and sipping her drink. "Midoriya-san exhaust himself out and I heal him completely but his arm is going to be sore. Other than that, he's fine." She smiles tiredly at the short brown-haired girl.
"Lee-lee!" Ophelia wailed and Aileen dodges her famous hugging. "Wah! I'm so worried~! I thought you died."
"SINCE WHEN DID I DIE, BLONDIE!" Aileen throws the bottle at her head and she grunts in pain. "I was just healing Midoriya-san's injury and nothing else."
"That must've been a long heal, sis." Gallade spoke up and noticing her pale skin is starting to disappear. "How are you feeling?" He approached her and check for any injury.
"Completely drained for healing since it's been a long time I've done it before." Aileen answered and patted his shoulder. "I'm fine as long as I'm drinking a lot of water and eating food."
"That was so manly of you to offer your help and heal Midoriya." Aileen blinks her eyes to see the red-haired boy with sharp teeth is amazed by her dedication to heal Midoriya's wound. "You were with me during the exam and save me from the robots."
"Ah! You change your hair color." Aileen nearly forgets about him if it wasn't for the scar on his eyebrow and sharp teeth. "I've seen on the screen how badly he injured and I'm sure Recovery Girl wouldn't be able to heal him fully due to his exhaustion."
"That's nice of you to do it, ah! I'm Kirishima Eijiro." He introduces himself to the blue-haired girl.
"I'm Sycamore Aileen Luna, please call me Aileen." She smiles gently.
"Call me Gallade as well so we won't get confused our surnames." Gallade spoke up and stands right next to his sister.
"I'm Ambrosius Ophelia Fay at your service!" Ophelia bows her politely and smiles happily. "Isn't Lee-lee awesome!? She's willing to help other people and heal pe- mphft!" Aileen covers her mouth and sighs angrily.
"That blabbermouth of yours is at least of your worries, Ophie." Aileen snapped at her angrily. "How many times I told you to stop teasing me!?"
"Never!" Ophelia answered happily while the others are amused by their bickering.
"You guys are so close to each other." Ashido spoke up and noticed how closed they are.
"We grew up together, Ashido-san." Gallade answered. "Ophelia is the only one who can get under her skin and riling her up."
"It's my job as a best friend to annoy them!" Ophelia pointed out happily and chuckled. "Don't you think I've done a job for a long time?" She asked and winking at Gallade.
"You're making it worse." Aileen corrected her bluntly and crossing her arms.
"When is Deku-kun going to be released soon, Aileen-chan?" Uraraka asked the blue-haired girl curiously. "Including the mouse."
"It actually depends when he is going to wake up, Uraraka-san." She answered truthfully. "He used a lot of Quirk and I think he'll stay here overnight. I heal his injury completely but his mind is different."
"Thank you, Aileen-chan." Uraraka thanked the blue-haired girl. "For healing Deku-kun even though you didn't have to do it."
"He's my friend too and I don't mind using my power to aid people." She pursed her lips for a minute. "Midoriya-san needs to control his power because he can't rely on us 24/7 to heal him every single time."
"That is true." Gallade spoke up while nodding his head.
The door opens to reveal Midoriya and Pikachu on his shoulder.
"Good work!" Kirishima approached the dark green-haired boy and the yellow mouse. "Man, I don't know what you were saying during the match, but you and your yellow mouse were fired up!"
"I can't believe you and the yellow mouse fought evenly with Bakugou who was second in the first entrance exam!" Sero spoke up and Aileen flinched of remembering her rank in the first entrance. Bakugou despises her because he took the spot.
"You guys did a good job dodging!" Ashido exclaimed happily and pumping her fists.
"You guys did that in the first match, so the rest of us had to give it our all, too." Sato pointed out. "Ne, where did you find the little guy?" He pointed to the yellow mouse who sits on his shoulder.
"You guys were far from elegant, but-" Aoyama was cut off by Ashido's loudness.
"You guys did a good job dodging!" Ashido jumps excitedly.
Aileen sighs softly and smiles gently. "Okay, guys. They need some space please?" She informed them. "They just got out from the infirmary and don't overwhelm them."
"Ah! So-sorry!" Kirishima and the others give them both space. "I'm Kirishima Eijiro." He points at Sero and the others. "We're all going over the training together right now."
"I'm Sero Hanta." Sero introduces himself.
"I'm Aoyama Yu-" Again he was interrupted by Ashido.
"I'm Ashido Mina!" Ashido introduces herself happily. "You did a good job dodging!"
"Another Ophelia we have to deal with." Gallade muttered under his breath while holding Meowstic. "She always repeats the great dodging."
"I'm Asui Tsuyu." Asui introduces herself behind Ashido. "Call me Tsu."
"I'm Sato!" The thick lips boy introduces himself.
"Umm... er..." Midoriya goes panic and Pikachu shook his head.
"I'm Pikachu and this is my best friend, Midoriya Izuki!" The mouse Pokemon introduces himself happily and masking his surprise to see another fellow Pokemon who can be pass as human with Quirk and holding another small Pokemon laying stiff on its arm.
"Wah~! You're so cute!" Ashido gushed at Pikachu's cuteness. "Where did you find this cutie!?"
Just when Pikachu is about to answer a small purple ball boy jumps up to let everyone see him. "I'm Mineta!"
"Where the heck did you pop out from?" Kirishima asked and looks down at the boy.
Aileen simply shook her head and goes to her right next to Tokoyami's seat. "That desk is not a chair!" She heard Iida's voice is scolding Tokoyami for sitting on the desk. "Get off immediately!"
"That guy sure is strict when it comes to rules and regulation." Ophelia commented and stands right next to Aileen. "Jokes aside, are you okay?" She asked worriedly.
"Yeah, nothing that I can handle." Aileen answered and smiles. "I thought you guys are going to join me."
"We were about to but..." Ophelia laughs nervously and scratching her head. "Aizawa-sensei threatened us and didn't want the room to be crowded."
"Bakugou left early." Aileen pointed out and noticing his things aren't here anymore. "I've noticed his behavior changed because Midoriya-san defeated him."
"I think that's because someone defeated him who once think that person is Quirkless and never qualified enough to become a hero." Ophelia answered and frowned. "I just don't understand why they're discriminating against people who are Quirkless or when someone has weak Quirk."
"That's how they rule society." Aileen whispered in a hushed tone. "Quirkless people can be heroes too."
"I know he's one and ever since it showed up, I'm no longer see his future." Ophelia frowned and hugging her arms. "It's not only him, Lee-lee."
"I see..." She closes her eyes. "Let Pikachu know the address of our house so we can explain everything to Midoriya-san."
Ophelia nodded her head and informing Pikachu through the mind. "He knows and shall we?"
"Yeah." Aileen grabs Gallade's bag as well as hers. "Gallade, we should get going now." She called her partner.
"Yeah! I'll see you guys soon!" Gallade waves at their classmate and leaving the classroom.
The girls and two Pokemon are hiding behind the bushes without being noticed by Midoriya and Bakugou. Ophelia connected them through telepathy so they won't get caught by their hushed tone.
"Kacchan!" Midoriya called his childhood friend.
Bakugou stopped walking and glancing behind him. "What?" He asked coldly.
"He's still sore for being defeated." Meowstic commented and watching the scene unfold.
Midoriya's lips are quivering and debating to reveal the secret from Bakugou or not. He slowly opened his mouth. "There's one thing I feel like I have to tell you. My Quirk is something I received from someone else."
"Huh?" He asked in a gruff tone whereas the others looked speechless.
"It's true he's Quirkless like what Clara told us." Gallade pointed out and staring at Midoriya.
"The question is, who gave him a Quirk?" Aileen asked curiously and stares at Ophelia. "Is it really impossible to pass someone's Quirk?"
"Could be because we're looking at the person right now to make it possible." Ophelia answered.
"I can't say who I got from, though!" Midoriya exclaimed and looking down on the floor. "I won't say... but it's like a story out of comic books, except it's true. On top of that, I still can't control it properly. It's just a borrowed power that I haven't made my own yet. That's why... I tried to beat you without using it. But in the end, I couldn't win and had to rely on it with the help of Pikachu-kun."
Bakugou's body is shaking in anger by his rambling. "He's going to snap in a minute." Meowstic pointed out.
"Shall we intervene?" Ophelia asked curiously.
"No." Aileen answered immediately. "Bakugou is not going to hurt Midoriya-san because he's already at his limits from using a lot of Quirk today."
"I've still got a long way to go. That's why..." Midoriya muttered and didn't see Bakugou's furious expression while holding his sore arm. "That's why... one day, I will make this Quirk my own and beat you with my own power!" He declared and startling from his own outburst. It's never his intention to reveal the truth about this Quirk and nearly broke the promise.
"Based on his expression, he didn't want to reveal the truth about the Quirk." Aileen pointed out and the others nodded their heads.
"For someone who's good at analyzing people's Quirk, that boy is really dumb and sucks at lying." Meowstic pointed out bluntly.
"Ahaha... I think it's cute." Ophelia commented and silently giggled behind her hand. "I feel like we're watching Soap Opera in here."
"Only for you." Aileen spoke up bluntly and rolling her eyes.
"What the hell is that?" Bakugou asked and snapped angrily to face Midoriya completely. "Borrowed power? You're talking nonsense. What are you trying to do, make me out to be more of a fool than you already have? Huh? What are you trying to say? Today, I lost to you... that's all it was... that's all..." He remembered Todoriki's Quirk using his ice to cover the whole building up. Ophelia's Quirk to revive her stuff toy alive and give powers to fight the dual-haired boy whereas she goes into Shoji's mind and forces him to sleep. Aileen trapped the two students using her water to trapped them by a sphere. "As I watched the ice guy, witch girl and water girl. I thought, 'I can't beat them!'" He remembered Yaoyorozu and Ophelia's observation about them.
"Ah, he thinks of us we're the obstacle to block his dream to become number one." Aileen commented and wondering why he thinks so highly of himself.
"I guess we're his new targets especially the dual-haired boy, Todoroki Shoto." Ophelia pointed out happily. "Shall we make a signboard that says, 'we're the new targets for Bakagou!' This is going to be so much fun." She commented sarcastically.
"Damn it! I ended up agreeing with that ponytail girl and the witch girl said!" Bakugou exclaimed and releasing all his frustrations out towards Midoriya while covering his eyes. "Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Hey, you too, Deku!" They silently looked shocked to see him cried in anger. "I'm just... I'm just getting started! You hear? Here, I will become number one!"
"With an attitude like that, I highly doubt he can reach the top 1." Aileen commented bluntly and crossing her arms.
"Shall we go before anyone could see us?" Gallade suggested and they nodded their head.
"Use teleport so no one could find us suspicious." She informed the blade Pokemon. They left without a trace.
Pikachu told Midoriya about their address because the girls are going to explain Pokemon's existence. The mouse Pokemon couldn't help but wonder if there are few Pokemon live in this world.
"I was surprised they knew about you, Pikachu-kun." Midoriya commented and searching Sycamore's house. "Do you think there are others out there?" He asked curiously.
"I'm not sure." Pikachu answered truthfully. "They have more knowledge than us."
Midoriya has no knowledge when Pokemon have actually existed because Pikachu explains what he really is. It surprise him how the girls have knowledge about them and dealing different types of creatures like his partner.
They stopped at their simply modern house in front of them.
"That is so big!" Pikachu exclaimed and his eyes are widened in shock. "Izu, your friends are rich."
"I-I-I didn't know they're rich." Midoriya stuttered and pressing the doorbell.
"Hello?" They heard Aileen's voice through the small speaker.
"Ah, Aileen-san! It's me, Midoriya and Pikachu-kun are here." Midoriya exclaimed and Pikachu covered his ears with his loud voice.
"Come in." Aileen opened the gate for them to get in.
"Izu, please lower your voice. I have sensitive hearing." Pikachu whined and Midoriya laughs nervously.
"Sorry, Pikachu-kun." Midoriya apologizes and the door opens to a blue-haired and light brown soft eyes. "Ah, Clara-san!"
"It's nice to see you again, Midoriya-san." Clara smiles and stares at the mouse Pokemon. "Hello, Pikachu. Come on in."
Midoriya removes his shoes as Clara leads them to the living room. "Wow, your house is so big, Clara-san." He commented to see their living room is big enough space to have less furniture.
"Thank you." Clara smiles and everyone are sitting down to wait for their arrival and Clara to join in. "Come on, they're waiting for you."
"Ye-yes!" Midoriya is sitting nervously across from Aileen, Ophelia and Gallade whereas the older female Sycamore sits in front of them. "Um... why are we here, exactly?" He asked timidly and holding Pikachu.
"How well do you know about Pokemon?" Aileen asked in a serious tone as he gapes in surprise. "I know Pikachu told you a bit."
"Um... from what he told me... there are different Pokemon out there whether they're small or big. They can either live in the wild or alongside humans. What I don't understand, Pikachu-kun said they can't speak human language but only their names." Midoriya explained and fidgeting under their gaze.
Aileen sighs softly. "In our world, some Pokemon can speak the human language or communicate with us through telepathy or voice." She explained softly and clutching her hands together. "The Pokemon's aren't supposed to be here or even us in this world."
"Wait!" Midoriya exclaimed and realize something. "You mean you guys are from a different world? How did that happen? Do all Pokemon like Pikachu have Quirk to open a portal? When did the Pokemon drop here in this world? What kind of abilities they have-"
"Midoriya-san, calm down." Ophelia stops him from rambling and laughs. "Man, you sure talk a lot."
"Someone in your world tampered with our world." Clara explained and stares at his green eyes. "3 years ago, there's been news about the disappearance of the Pokemon. None of the Trainers, Professors, Champions or Pokemon Rangers have no clue the cause of this mess."
"That's why our God Pokemon, Arceus, choose carefully which Trainer is suitable enough to transport another world and save Pokemon from harm." Gallade spoke up. "He chooses Clara first because of her knowledge and understanding of the Pokemon. Not only that but also she can blend in with someone who has Quirk. 2 years later, Arceus transported us in this world to help Clara out."
"This Arceus, how did he choose you guys?" Midoriya asked curiously.
"He has companions who has the ability to travel past, present and future. That's Celebi." Ophelia explained and Midoriya looked shocked to see her unusual serious look. "Arceus, Celebi and some Pokemon are one of the strongest Pokemon from the entire universe. They are what we called, Legendary Pokemon."
"Legendary Pokemon?" Midoriya asked them curiously and never expect they would reveal this information to them despite know each other a little.
"They're extremely rare and powerful Pokemon who are often associated with the legends of creation or mass of destruction in every region." Aileen answered and sighs softly. "They're dangerous if one of us provoke them or the other way around. That's why Arceus exists to ensure no harm comes between a Pokemon and human."
Midoriya gulps nervously and wasn't expecting there are other rare powerful Pokemon. This Arceus choose them and they're willing to help him out to save Pokemon from harm. "Um... how did you guys manage to have Quirk?"
"Estimation from us human is... 0.03%" Aileen answered and Midoriya looked shocked. "Anyway, right now... we trust that you're not telling anyone about their existence. Right now, our hands are tied and trying our best on how to break the news slowly."
"We wanted to show everyone that humans and Pokemon can get along with each other." Ophelia explained and raising her hands at Midoriya and Pikachu. "You guys are the proof that you have a strong bond between Pikachu and yourself."
"I won't reveal anyone of their existence, guys." Midoriya assured them and remembering something. "Um... Clara-san, is Vulpix-chan... also-"
"A Pokemon?" Clara asked with a smile on her face. "Yeah, along with Gallade and Meowstic."
"EH!? Gallade-kun as well!?" Midoriya's jaw dropped and the blade Pokemon smirked. "Um... who is Meowstic?"
"You're looking at him." Midoriya squeaks to see a small feline jumps out of Ophelia's arm and stands on the table. "Yes, I'm a stuffed toy who's been forced against my own will." He glared at the blonde-haired girl as she laughs sheepishly.
"Then... you don't have a Quirk to make puppets alive?" Midoriya asked curiously.
"Ahaha... nope!" Ophelia answered happily and clearly enjoying his priceless reaction. "I have to lie about it. I can't say to anyone I have a Pokemon and he can kick your butt!"
"Maybe I can if only someone who's considerate my feelings!" His claws glowed and Ophelia squeaks in fear.
Clara laughs nervously and staring at Midoriya's who's gaping at their interaction. "You'll get used to it. Meowstic is always annoyed by Ophelia's antic."
Midoriya and the others laugh at Ophelia and Meowstic banter. It gives him a huge relief to know Pikachu is no longer alone in this world. Pikachu can mingle Gallade or Meowstic because they're the same kin, Pokemon.
