Wild Turn of Events

Rebel Force Temporary Camp, Tokyo Harbor, Japan

Hwoarang went separate ways with Steve Fox after encountering an unknown foe who easily dealt with them both. This same man broke into the Zaibatsu but unsuccessfully could not find Heihachi Mishima. In response, Hwoarang was told by Lars to come back to the hotel and later meet him at the Rebel Camp near the Tokyo Harbor. The next day came as it was time for Heihachi and Kazuya to fight at a volcanic island somewhere out in the Pacific Ocean. Some of the Rebel soldiers decided to unwind and have a banquet as they would view the upcoming battle between the Mishimas. Hwoarang reluctantly went to this event. As he ate his lunch, Lars happened to come by and decided to speak with him about yesterday.

Lars: "Hey!"

Hwoarang (Looks his left.): "Sup Lars."

Lars: "First off, how is the food?"

Hwoarang: "It's alright."

Lars: "Oh not a fan of Takoyaki?"

Hwoarang: "I've had better."

Lars: "Ah I see. Anyway, let me ask you this. Who was that guy who attacked you and Steve yesterday?"

Hwoarang: "I dunno. The guy was huge I can tell you that. And strong too."

Lars: "My spies are trying to figure out what organization he is from. He's not with G Corp thank goodness, but they have noticed that his body is genetically modified for warfare combat."

Hwoarang: "Warfare combat?"

Lars: "Yeah it's similar to that young girl with the pink costume who fought in the tournament and took it by surprise. He was reared to fight as many people as possible. Whoever his sponsors are, they sure had a bone to pick with Heihachi."

Hwoarang: "You know where he went after busting in the HQ?"

Lars: "No…we don't know for certain. Our spies are trying to track him down as we speak. Anyway, the big fight is about to begin. Then we can decide on what moves to make after this."

The flat screen television the Rebel Forces were using to watch this matchup turned on into the special broadcast provided by Japan Premiere News. The camera zoomed in at the two men. Heihachi and Kazuya standing face to face on a volcanic molten island. The two exchanged words of insult at each other with menacing eyes like bloodthirsty wolves craving for a heavy meal. And with the gushing of the lave spewing over the boulder the men stood on, they ran right at each other to fight!

What Hwoarang witnessed throughout the match was something that he and the rest of the people inside the tent never saw before. A demonic Kazuya Mishima going up against Heihachi Mishima at his absolute peak in ki power. Heihachi managed to gain the upper hand against his son once he attainted this deity like form. Movies could not make this up! Heihachi hit Devil Kazuya with several combos including his own version of the Demon Uppercut as the demon fell on his back. Then Heihachi grabbed Devil Kazuya's horns and got him in a chokehold to break his neck!

Suddenly, the unexpected happened! A flashing red light swooped in and blasted the head of Heihachi Mishima! The beam killed him instantly! The culprit was none other than Heihachi's wife, Kazumi in her Devil Form! She descended upon Heihachi's headless corpse as her son struggled to get his breath back. Then Kazumi shot a beam at her son's head to render him unconscious, but not taking his life. Now with Devil Kazuya knocked out, Devil Kazumi simply flew away, ignoring the choppers viewing the match. Everyone, including Hwoarang, were all in complete shock of what just took place.

Hwoarang (In disbelief.): "That woman! She just…she just killed Heihachi and left with Kazuya! I mean seriously?"

Lars (Speaks to everyone with the TV off behind him.): "Everyone! Listen to me!" (Everyone quiets down.) "What we just witnessed is no mistake! This cannot mean we can relax! Kazumi Mishima is now our top enemy! My father, Heihachi, is dead now. A part of me should be relieved, and yet still my heart is heavy for he gave me life in this world. Now we must prepare for a two frontal assault. One against the Zaibatsu and the other against G Corp who will no doubt attempt to rescue their boss."

Rebel Soldier: "But commander Lars'! Are you sure Kazuya is alive?"

Lars: "I'm positive. My ki can tell me. He is still living." (Clutching his fist.)

Rebel Captain: "How soon should we prepare for what is ahead."

Lars: "I will be in the council tent in 20 minutes. I just need a little more time to process all of this. Meet me there." (Walks near Hwoarang.) "Just sit tight, I will get back with you after I talk with my men."

Hwoarang said nothing, but he noticed Lars was visibly upset with what just transpired. Then he wondered how serious this situation was now that Heihachi had died so soon. Hwoarang could only hope that Kazumi was less of a threat than Heihachi and Kazuya since she didn't fight them head on. Then again, Kazumi may prove to be more cunning than both men.

After some time passes

Hwoarang was playing games on his rental smartphone back at his barracks room, then Lars showed up again going inside his tent. His face had a more relaxed expression, but he still wanted Hwoarang to help him at least free his nephew, Jin Kazama.

Lars: "Hwoarang."

Hwoarang: "Yo."

Lars: "It's been decided. We will attack the HQ again, in three days."

Hwoarang: "Three days? Why so long?"

Lars: "We don't have enough ammunition right now, we have to restock our food supply, and its possible that Julia Chang's team might join us though I have not heard from them lately."

Hwoarang: "Wait that American babe?"

Lars: "Yeah, surprisingly she's been sabajoting bases of both G Corp and the Zaibatsu. With only a few guys. It's quite impressive really."

Hwoarang: "No joke?"

Lars: "No joke. Having them assist my guys will be a big help. Now all we have to do at this point is get ready. Take this time to rest up or train. On the day of the assault we will need your skills to find Jin and maybe free Kazuya too."

Hwoarang : "Why free Kazuya? He should have died along with Heihachi."

Lars: "If it comes to that, then I will kill him myself."

Hwoarang: "You really mean that?"

Lars: "I do. Count on it."

As Lars finally left the tent, Hwoarang could only shake his head in disbelief. Did this guy have it in him to kill off his half brother? Hwoarang would not put it past him if he had to stop Jin from going on a complete rampage again in needed. Though that would be easier said than done. The Taekwondo Black Belt was only sticking around the Rebel Force for money and to at least get an honest fight out of Jin one more time. Not to mention, he did tell Ling Xiaoyu that he would find Jin. She would be so upset if anything where to happen to her crush.
