One year later, while Ki and I were taking care of Adam, it was time to teach Adam to technically, be most of the time, human, even though he was born as an echidna. That included potty training, walking, speech, and wearing clothes. However, that did not impress Knuckles at all. He came while I was teaching Adam to walk and Adam wasn't wearing gloves, but wearing his sized clothes.
"G.K., Ki, where are his gloves?" asked Knuckles. "He looks goofy. Not only that, but ridiculus."
"We definetely forgot about that," I replied. "Adam's hands are just too small. You can find some his size at your home. Here, we couldn't find any gloves his size. Plus, his hands have spikes. That made it harder."
"Okay, then, and why are you guys teaching him to wear clothes? He wasn't born human like you guys were."
"It's just our way of raising our kids! We were raised that way."
"What do you mean?"
"Please, I already promised to my mother that we raise him like a human would, even though he's not human."
"Fine, whatever. I'll go to Angel Island to find some gloves for that young kid then."
"Thank you very much."
Then Knuckles left.
I went back to teaching Adam to walk afterwards.
Once Adam was ready to walk on two legs, it was now time for the hard part: Speech. During, I put on each of Adam's hands the same gloves that Knuckles brought to our place.
