I am glad you liked chapter 13 :-), I must admit I was a bit nervous about it, it's weird because I've written M chapters for Rizzoli and Isles and Stef and Lena from The Fosters before so it's not like it's my first time LOL… I think it was because I started the story as T rated and then changed it so I was worried some people would not appreciate that… In any case thank you for the comments and thank you for reading :-). CHAPTER 14
SATURDAY EVENING CONTINUED
When Callie entered the kitchen Arizona was already looking into the fridge.
"Any preferences?" she asked as she bowed slightly forward perking her perfectly sculpted behind right in front of Callie's eyes.
"Callie?" Arizona called before she suddenly felt Callie's hands on her waist pulling her back as she saw the door of the fridge slam shut in front of her.
"Yes, you!" Arizona heard Callie's sultry voice vibrating in her ear as she felt Callie's hands flip her body around and make her back collide with the cold surface of the fridge causing a reaction from her mouth.
"Ohhh… Callie…" she managed to voice in surprise and tried to wrap her arms around Callie's back but Callie had already disappeared, kneeling down in front of Arizona, lifting Arizona's right leg and placing it over her shoulder before her lips landed hungrily on Arizona's center.
"Fuuuuck…" Arizona moaned, "I guess… you are not… hungry… then?" Arizona managed to ask.
"Oh yes I am… hungry for you…," Arizona's body trembled at the vibration of Callie's words on her sensitive skin.
"I've been wanting to do this for the past two days and you stopped me… two times…." Callie said and licked her lips before wrapping them around Arizona's sweet bud again, and continued to speak intermittently, "no…" she pressed her tongue against it, "…more…" rolled a circle on it firmly, "…delays…" she finished as she sucked on it hard.
"Ohhhh my God…" Arizona moaned losing balance a bit as she was leaning only on her prosthetic leg but Callie's grip on her hips was firm and she trusted her completely. When Callie continued her exploration, Arizona forgot about her leg completely and gave into the senses that started flooding her body.
"God, you feel so good, Arizona, and you taste so amazing…" Callie mumbled as her tongue rolled slowly along Arizona's wet folds.
"Ahhhh… Calliope…" Arizona moaned, she wanted to grab hold of Callie's arms, or shoulders, of anything really, but everything was out of reach, she lowered her hands and managed to wrap her fingers in Callie's hair making Callie's desire grow more so she pulled Arizona's hips harder against her own mouth.
Arizona gasped, "Fucking hell!" she cursed making Callie smile.
"I really do like making profanities come out of your mouth," Callie said making Arizona laugh out loud in between heavy breaths as Callie's tongue was now teasing her entrance. Callie pushed her tongue inside a few times causing Arizona's back to arch making her thrust her pelvis harder into Callie.
Callie moaned with pleasure feeling Arizona's body react and went back to Arizona's clit eager to feel her body tremble under her touch. She teased with a few light touches before she made several strong circles with her tongue causing a loud moan to leave Arizona's throat.
Callie smiled at the sound and repeated the action, continuing her movement without stopping. Her tongue applied constant pressure on Arizona's center eliciting continuous moans to leave Arizona's lips making Callie's desire grow even more.
"Callie… please…" Arizona breathed out before a loud "fuuuuck" vibrated throughout the room as Callie's thumb thrust inside her.
"Ahhh… yeees!" Arizona moaned with pleasure as Callie moved her finger, dragging it slowly out and pushing it back inside harder each time as her tongue continued putting pressure on Arizona's swollen nub.
Arizona moved her hips against Callie's finger making Callie moan with desire, "So… damn… hot!" Callie mumbled and sucked in Arizona's clit while relentlessly continuing the circular massage with her tongue making Arizona scream her name.
"Calliope…! Ohhh, God…. baby…. don't… stop!" Arizona pleaded as Callie increased her pace both with her finger and her tongue.
"Ahhh… fuuuuck… Callie… I'm…" Arizona uttered but she didn't have a chance to finish as her body started shaking vigorously.
Arizona moaned loudly as her shivers continued while Callie slowed down her movements to gently bring her down making sure she would ride every last bit of the pleasure her body was enveloped in. When Callie took her thumb out Arizona sensed for a moment her body would start calming down but then she suddenly felt Callie's tongue on her nub in full force again as she felt the pressure of two fingers inside her walls.
"Callie… what…" she tried to speak but her words were replaced by heavy moans again as Callie's movements quickly fired up her body again.
"Jesus Christ… Callie! What are you…" Arizona tried speaking again but her body was taken over by another wave of pleasure which rocked her body hard. When Callie slowed down her movements Arizona sighed heavily.
"My God woman! What are you doing to me?" she laughed in between heavy breaths.
"Showing you how much I want you," Callie said with a big grin on her face as she gently licked all of Arizona savoring every inch, causing new aftershocks to rock Arizona's body.
"Okay, you win," Arizona sighed as her body was still reacting to Callie's touch, "My other leg is officially wobbly too"
"Already? But I want more!" Callie protested putting on a sad face making Arizona laugh out loud.
"You can get more later, now I need a break," Arizona said with a smile.
"Seriously?" Callie asked.
"Yes, seriously," Arizona said trying to wiggle her right leg back on the floor.
"Okay," Callie said and lowered Arizona's right leg slowly and let her slump down on top of her as she herself sat down on the floor. Arizona wrapped her arms around Callie's shoulders and exhaled heavily. She smiled as she leaned forward, "Well, Dr. Torres, that tongue of yours is so damn skillful," she said kissing Callie hungrily, battling with her tongue, and moaning at the touch.
"I learned from the best," Callie said as her hands roamed along Arizona's back.
"Oh, right, Mark was your teacher."
Callie laughed out loud, "I meant you silly."
"Me?"
"Oh please, fake modesty doesn't suit you," Callie said slapping Arizona's butt lightly.
Arizona laughed and kissed Callie again with full passion.
"I hate to break this moment but my butt is cold," Callie said honestly making Arizona laugh.
"I'm not sure I can get up…" Arizona said as she felt weakness in both her legs now.
Callie laughed out loud.
"I'm serious!" Arizona said slapping Callie lightly on her shoulder.
"Okay, I'll help you up," Callie said as her tone immediately changed to protective. Callie helped Arizona move from her lap and got up first to pull Arizona up into her embrace. Arizona kissed her and took her hand leading them back to her bedroom.
"Where are we going?" Callie asked in confusion.
"You said you wanted more," Arizona informed seductively.
"What about the food?" Callie asked.
"We'll just have dessert…" Arizona said and pushed Callie onto the bed.
"all… night… long…" she added as she disappeared from Callie's vision and a few seconds later Callie felt Arizona's tongue on her clit.
"Ohhh… fuck!" Callie screamed as her back rose from the bed and her hips pushed into Arizona.
"I thought you needed a break", Callie managed to say.
"I recover fast," Arizona teased and continued on her mission to explore Callie's folds making Callie shiver under her touch with a huge smile on her face.
As the rays of sunshine started finding their way through the blinds Callie opened her eyes slowly, she had a feeling she was being observed and she was right as Arizona's blue eyes were the first thing she saw. Arizona smiled broadly, "Good morning" she said caressing Callie's right arm.
"Mmm, good morning," Callie said as her fingers grazed Arizona's waist. "What are you doing?" she asked getting lost inside Arizona's eyes.
"I was watching you sleep… I always liked doing that…" Arizona said tracing her finger along Callie's jaw, then over her lips before she leaned forward to place her lips on Callie's.
"You have beautiful eyes, have I ever told you that?" Arizona said dreamily.
"Yes, many times," Callie said with a smile.
"And your lips… I adore your lips…," Arizona whispered.
"I know," Callie smiled, "You told me that as well."
"I just feel I should remind you…" Arizona said as her lips wrapped around Callie's again.
"Is everything okay?" Callie asked when their lips parted.
"Yes, everything is fine, I'm just happy, and enjoying the moment."
"Okay," Callie smiled and pulled Arizona closer, she caressed Arizona's chin lightly, "You are my sunshine, you know that? Just seeing you here next to me, makes my day bright and shiny."
"Oh that's just post coitus glow," Arizona teased.
Callie laughed out loud as Arizona rolled on top of her "You have it too," she informed winking at Callie making her let out a belly laugh.
"Do you think Sofia will pick up on it?" Callie asked.
"Sofia will simply be happy to be with us, but Meredith will definitely pick up on your glow," Arizona chuckled.
"But you're coming with me, right? To pick up Sofia?"
"Do you need reinforcement for Meredith's teasing?" Arizona asked with a chuckle.
Callie laughed, "Oh please, Meredith was the one who suggested Sofia stays over there so we can have some alone time."
Arizona raised her eyebrows in amusement, "Oh really?"
"Yeah, she also thought it would be good for Zola to have Sofia there, she's been asking about Derek this week."
"Oh, poor thing."
"Yeah, so I'm thinking… Why don't we ask Meredith to join us with the kids today, Maggie and Amelia too, we can all go for the boat ride and take them to lunch as a thank you for looking after Sofia, the kids will be happy and Sofia will pay less attention to us so we can be more relaxed. I might get away with a kiss or two, maybe hold your hand…"
Arizona smiled, "That's a great idea! We can ask Sofia if she would like that…"
"I'm sure she will be thrilled, let's check with Meredith, we should go get Sofia anyway," Callie said reaching for her phone.
"I'm not so sure about holding hands though…" Arizona said rolling back on the bed.
Callie made a sad face, "Oh come on!"
"I just feel like we should get through this month at least, before any new steps with Sofia."
Callie sighed, "Well let's see how things are going over at Mer's house," Callie said opening her chat with Meredith.
Hey, is everyone up? We're thinking of stopping by to get Sofia.
All great here. Are you in Arizona's bed? ;-)

When Callie turned around to put her phone down Arizona asked, "So what were all the smiles about?"
"Mer is giving us extra time for a lazy morning, she said not to come before 11."
"That's so sweet of her," Arizona said with a smile. "With the shower and breakfast we don't get much time though."
"Yeah but we don't have to rush so we can still snuggle for a while," Callie said and pulled Arizona close while her hand went up to caress her left cheek.
Arizona smiled and wrapped her left hand around Callie's waist, letting it move up while her fingers trailed along Callie's back.
"This is nice," Arizona whispered.
"Mm-hmm," Callie agreed and kissed Arizona softly as her hand wrapped inside Arizona's hair. Arizona smiled and did the same with her hand pushing her own body more into Callie. The kiss was soft and sensual as they brushed against each other's lips and tenderly caressed each other's skin. Callie left a few short kisses on Arizona's lips and moved back to look at her.
"What…?" Arizona whispered.
"I want to tell Sofia…"
"Callie…" Arizona started protesting but Callie put her finger on Arizona's lips.
"It's not like we have to get to know each other, we already know everything and we are different now, we don't argue anymore, we don't yell at each other, we talk and we both know what we want, and we want the same things, why wait? Do you really think it is better for Sofia to spend time with each of us separately than with both of us at the same time more often?"
Arizona sighed, "Of course it's better for her to be with both of us, but when exactly did you want to do this?"
"Today."
"Today!? Callie… it's too soon… how would we even do this, what do you suppose we should say?"
"I don't know, that we are dating?"
"She doesn't even know what that means…"
"So we explain it to her…"
"And say what? That we love each other and that we want to be a family again and live together but not just yet."
Callie let out a heavy sigh…
"Honey, you're just being impatient…" Arizona said softly
"I'm just tired of night shifts, and not seeing you, and missing you, and hearing Sofia ask why you are not there…"
Arizona nodded her head, "Can we just make it through the month please, we have one week left… I really feel like we should follow the commitment through this time."
"Okay fine, but then next Saturday we are all having dinner together and you are spending the night."
Arizona laughed out loud, "Is that your condition?"
"Compromise, to do one more week of torture, I need the weekend of bliss after that."
Arizona shook her head in disbelief smiling at Callie, "It's hardly a torture."
"Well, close enough… do we have a deal?" Callie asked pulling Arizona on top of her own body again.
Arizona giggled, "Okay, fine we have a deal."
"It's been a pleasure negotiating with you," Callie said with a smile before she moved her head up to meet Arizona's lips.
Arizona laughed, "Indeed it has," she agreed and let her lips get lost in Callie's.
"Mommies!" Sofia screamed with joy and ran towards Callie and Arizona. Callie lifted her up and Arizona leaned forward to place a kiss on Sofia's cheek.
"Hi sweetheart, did you have a nice time with Zola?" Arizona asked.
"Yes, we had a pajama party, it was fun! I want to have a pajama party with you tonight!"
"Oh honey, we won't be able to do it tonight because mommy has to go to work, but it will be perfect for next Saturday!" Callie said with a big smile on her face directed at Arizona making her teasingly shake her head in slight disapproval.
"So are we all going for the boat ride?" Callie asked.
"Yees! I am so happy Zola is coming with us!" Sofia said happily.
"Great! Go get ready then!" Callie said and put Sofia down.
"We are all almost ready, I just need to go get my sunglasses because you two are glowing too much!" Meredith teased when Sofia left the room.
Arizona laughed wholeheartedly while Callie crossed her arms, "I would expect this from Amelia but not you!"
Meredith laughed, "Amelia is too busy glowing herself."
Callie lifted her eyebrow.
"Owen," Meredith simply said.
"Oh-kay!" Callie commented with a smile and a nod. "So how was it last night?"
"It was great, Zola was so happy Sofia was here, thank you… that really helped."
"I'm glad, and you were right it was a win-win for all."
"I bet it was!" Meredith teased again and Callie grabbed a piece of paper from the table making it into a ball.
"Let's go!" Callie said and tossed the paper ball at her.
Meredith laughed, "We're waiting on Maggie."
"I'm ready!" Maggie said appearing in the kitchen.
"Okay, let's get all the kids." Meredith said. "Amelia!" she called upstairs, "You and your glow had better come down here because we are leaving in a few!" she yelled making everyone laugh.
"I'm coming!" Amelia informed from upstairs.
"Sofia, Zola, come on girls, let's go!" Arizona called.
"Zola can go in the car with us," Arizona offered.
"Great, that would be perfect!" Meredith smiled.
"Okay, fun times, let's go everyone!" Callie yelled with enthusiasm.
Once on the boat the kids watched in awe at the Seattle coastline in front of them. Sofia was standing in front of Callie and Arizona, showing them all the interesting things that caught her eye. Both of them had one hand on Sofia's shoulder and Callie used the opportunity to put her right hand on Arizona's lower back caressing it lightly.
Arizona leaned closer to Callie's ear and whispered, "Be careful."
"Don't worry," Callie whispered in return and smiled.
Meredith caught the subtle exchange and smiled. Amelia was holding Ellis in her arms and Maggie was with Bailey so she moved a few steps closer with Zola and winked at Arizona before putting her hand around Sofia.
"Come here Sofia, I want to show something to Zola and you."
Arizona took the few seconds of distraction Meredith offered and placed her now free right hand on Callie's cheek and let their lips meet in a soft but quick kiss taking Callie completely by surprise.
"That's not being careful," Callie whispered.
Arizona smiled, "Meredith was keeping guard," she said in low voice.
Callie smiled and squeezed Arizona's waist before she walked over to Maggie to pick up Bailey in her arms while Arizona stepped closer to Meredith and the girls.
Thank you, Arizona mouthed, when her eyes met Meredith's who smiled in return.
"See that red roof over there," Meredith pointed in the direction of the shore.
Both Zola and Sofia answered at the same time, "Yes."
"This is where we will have lunch and they have a big playground where you can have more fun, and they also have an amazing ice-cream."
"Yay!" the girls screamed with joy.
"Ice-cweam," Bailey repeated making them all laugh.
When they reached the shore Zola and Sofia were filled with impressions from the boat, explaining with excitement everything they loved on the ride. They held hands and skipped steps together giggling happily.
Meredith turned to Callie, "Thank you for this."
Callie put her right arm around Meredith and squeezed her, "You're welcome, I'm glad to see Zola happy."
When they sat down at the table to have coffee first, Sofia and Zola ran over to the playground.
"You two are cute together," Maggie stated looking at Callie and Arizona while Bailey was playing with his car in her lap.
"I agree, I haven't witnessed before all this happiness you two are radiating, but it's nice to see you happy together," Amelia said holding Ellis in her lap and letting her play with the bracelet on her wrist.
"Callie, you are walking on clouds again," Meredith said with a smile and turned to Maggie, "When they first got together, all of Arizona's chirpiness rubbed off on Callie."
Maggie looked at Arizona with surprise, "Chirpiness?"
Callie laughed, "She used to be very, extremely chirpy, even annoyingly so, she was always happy and sliding through the hospital halls on her wheely sneakers."
Arizona laughed, "I remember how annoyed Bailey was with my rolling around, Chief Webber wasn't too thrilled about it either, and Bailey wasn't fond of the chirpy side at all."
"Wow, so you were completely different before the leg?" Maggie asked.
"Yeah, but I am finding that person again," Arizona informed.
"Definitely, you are getting there again, and it's nice to see that you are getting chirpier by the minute, the more minutes you spend with Callie, the chirpier you seem," Meredith teased making both Callie and Arizona laugh.
Callie glanced at the playground and when she saw that Sofia wasn't paying attention to them she took Arizona's hand and moved it close to her mouth and placed a kiss on her fingers before leaning forward and kissing her softly on the lips.
Arizona directed her eyes at Sofia immediately.
"I already checked," Callie assured.
"Still, we should be more careful," Arizona said with a soft smile and placed their hands under the table, "less obvious."
"Well, I can see that you are having trouble keeping your hands to yourself Torres," Meredith teased.
"Oh totally, I can control myself better," Arizona teased.
"Oh, please, the other day you kicked me out of your house because you couldn't keep your hands to yourself."
Arizona laughed out loud, "Yeah but I found a way to keep my hands off."
"Yes, by kicking me out!"
Meredith laughed.
"You are such a cute couple, I feel like I have missed a whole different lifetime," Maggie said.
"It does feel like a completely different lifetime," Callie confirmed.
"So are you planning on telling Sofia soon, or are you going to hide forever!" Amelia asked.
Callie looked at Arizona, "See, I'm not the only one who thinks we should speed things up."
Arizona laughed, "We will stop hiding soon, one more week of night shift and then we go back to normal shifts and spending more time together."
"Oh, but you have to keep the Friday dates, Sofia and Zola have gotten used to spending Fridays together" Meredith said looking at the girls.
"Well, we can have Zola come over sometimes too, Maggie and Amelia can look after Ellis and Bailey, and you can go out on a date or something," Callie suggested.
"Yeah, you should call Will and…" Maggie said looking at Meredith.
"No," Meredith interrupted her.
"Who's Will?" Callie asked with a puzzled look on her face.
"That guy I mentioned, I'm not ready yet for any dating, so drop it."
"Okay, okay," Maggie said lifting her hands in resignation.
"Well you can go to a spa or something, have a date with yourself," Callie suggested.
"Hmm, okay that is not a bad idea," Meredith replied smiling slightly. "Now let's get some food!" she said taking the menu.
Callie laughed, "Uh-oh I guess that's the sign to drop the subject, I'll go get the girls," she said and walked over to Sofia and Zola.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT
Callie slumped onto the sofa in the lounge, took her mobile phone and called Arizona.
"Hey, you can talk!" Arizona said with happiness in her voice.
"Yeah, I'm so happy to hear your voice, I miss you, I am so ready for this torture to end already!" Callie complained.
"Two more days, babe," Arizona smiled.
Callie sighed, "Yeah, two more days, almost there," she smiled. "I have a plan for Friday, I want to go take a walk along the Golden Gardens Park so I can hold your hand on the beach. Then on Saturday we can have dinner and pajama party with Sofia and don't forget to bring your things because you're spending the night."
Arizona laughed, "You sound excited!" she stated with amusement.
"I am! Aren't you?"
"Of course I am," Arizona said with a smile.
"I also have an idea about Sofia."
"Oh, what have you come up with?"
"Well I was thinking that maybe we don't say anything and just act normally around her, and let her pick up on what's going on in her own time. We shouldn't go too fast of course, first we can just spend time together, then maybe relax into touching each other's back or hands in front of her, and eventually let her see us kiss."
"Ohh, I like this, that's a great idea and it might be best to let it evolve naturally."
"Okay, great, then we'll do that," Callie said with a smile, "My break is almost over, I do have one request before I go."
"Don't tell me you want a naked photo?" Arizona teased.
Callie laughed out loud, "I prefer the live version but now that you mentioned it…"
Arizona laughed, "What was your request?"
"I simply wanted you to turn your camera on so I can see you, but now I'm thinking of asking you to do a striptease for me."
Arizona laughed out loud and turned her camera on, "Maybe I'll leave the striptease for the in-person version, I'd prefer your hands close by where they could actually touch me."
Callie turned her camera on as well, "How did you manage to turn this into a sexy call so quickly?"
Arizona giggled, "It's your hot Latin blood that so easy to turn on."
"I think there's a special Arizona button that gets triggered easily."
"Oh really, I might push that button more often then, how does it work?"
"Oh I think it gets triggered with anything Arizona related, your voice, your smile, hearing you giggle, or feeling your touch…"
"How about this…" Arizona said and started lowering her top getting close to exposing her nipple when Callie stopped her.
"I can't believe I'm saying this but I don't think I can take more," she said with a heavy sigh and closed her eyes.
Arizona laughed happily and pulled her top up, "I pulled my top up, you can open your eyes."
"I was afraid I wouldn't be able to focus on work anymore, I would just be thinking about you and what I would like to do to you…"
"I wish you were here with me…" Arizona said turning on her side.
"I wish that as well…" Callie said, "in two days..."
"I can't wait," Arizona said with a sigh.
"Me either… I love you…" Callie said and sent a kiss.
Arizona smiled, "I love you too, my hot Latina woman."
Callie laughed.
"Good night" Arizona said and sent a kiss as well.
"Night," Callie waved and ended the call. She leaned her head back on the headrest behind her and sighed happily with a big smile on her face. "Two more days," she whispered, "I can survive two more days," she said with a sigh and got up heading back to the ortho ward.
FRIDAY EVENING
Callie was standing in front of the hospital leaning onto a bench eagerly waiting for Arizona to come out and when she finally saw her, Callie's face formed a radiating smile.
"I am so happy to finally see you again!" Callie said wrapping her arms around Arizona's waist and pulling her close.
"Me too," Arizona said with a smile placing both her palms on Callie's face before she kissed her.
When their lips parted Arizona took Callie's hand and led her towards her car, "I want more kissing on the beach," she informed making Callie laugh.
"That can be arranged," Callie said pushing Arizona against the car and kissing her again.
"Not here, people can see us," Arizona protested in between kisses.
"People can see us at the beach as well."
"Yeah but not our colleagues or our bosses…"
"I don't care," Callie mumbled.
Arizona laughed and pushed Callie away lightly.
"Let's go and you can kiss me all you want at the beach."
Callie smiled happily, "Deal," she said entering the car but pulling Arizona close to her again once inside. "But first I want a bit of making out in the car."
Arizona giggled happily and wrapped her hands around Callie.
"I want to catch the sunset…" she mumbled.
"Okay, fine, let's go then," Callie agreed and let go of Arizona reluctantly.
Arizona smiled and kissed Callie quickly one more time before starting the car.
Once on the beach Callie wrapped her arms around Arizona's waist and pulled her close, letting their lips finally dance together for a longer time. Arizona smiled and relaxed into Callie's body, she placed her arms tightly around Callie's shoulders as her lips continued kissing Callie, not wanting to separate them.
"Mmm, I could kiss you like this forever," Arizona mumbled.
Callie smiled, "Don't you want to watch the sunset?"
"Yes, but I want to kiss you more as well."
"We can kiss some more later, come on, the sun is setting," Callie said, "And I love the idea of holding you in my arms while watching it together, be cheek to cheek, kiss your neck…"
Arizona smiled and kissed Callie one more time before turning around in her arms. Callie smiled and wrapped her arms over Arizona's arms as she tucked her head next to Arizona's. They stood like that, watching the beautiful scene in front of them as they felt the world around them disappear. It was just the two of them, their fingers caressing each other slowly, as their hearts beat as one.
"This is nice…" Arizona whispered.
"Mm-hmm," Callie agreed.
"Let's make this a habit," Arizona said turning around to face Callie, "Come here at least once a month, take a walk on the beach and watch the sunset in each other's arms."
Callie smiled, "I like that idea," she said and leaned forward to catch Arizona's lips and get lost in the sensual moment again. Arizona buried her fingers inside Callie's hair and let all her senses get enveloped by the Latina.
After a while Callie took Arizona's hand and tugged her lightly, "Let's go for a walk…"
"Okay," Arizona said with a smile and leaned over to kiss Callie's cheek. "Lead the way," she said making Callie smile.
They walked slowly in silence, enjoying the moment and the sensation of holding each other's hand.
"Callie…" Arizona whispered leaning her head against Callie's shoulder.
"Hmmm?" Callie asked turning her head to face Arizona.
"I'm really happy…," Arizona whispered, "just by having you next to me, holding your hand, your lips kissing me… my heart and soul are so happy."
Callie smiled, "Me too."
"Only one thing is missing…," Arizona whispered.
"Sofia…," Callie said smiling softly.
Arizona nodded her head.
"We can do this again with her tomorrow," Callie suggested.
"I would love that…," Arizona smiled and stopped to kiss Callie again.
"You were right," Arizona said.
"About what?"
"I don't want to wait anymore either."
"Yes?" Callie's face formed a broad smile.
"Yes, I want to see you every day at work, I want to kiss you every day, I want to be with Sofia as much as possible, I want to spend weekends together with both of you and at least one night a week, no two nights a week. I want us to be happy, and I want Sofia to be happy and then soon we will just get a house and live happily ever after."
Callie laughed, "If you continue to speak like that you will make our daughter think she is in some kind of a fairy-tale."
Arizona laughed, "There's one more thing I would really like to do."
"What is that?"
"Take a photo of the three of us together, for my WhatsApp profile."
Callie laughed wholeheartedly, "I think that can be arranged."
"Not just yet, though, maybe next weekend, let's give Sofia a chance to get used to spending more time with us and if she doesn't pick up on what's going on we just tell her after a short while."
"What happened to She doesn't understand what dating is?"
"A smart lady told me we could explain it to her."
Callie laughed and pulled Arizona close, "I love you," she said as she leaned forward.
Arizona smiled, "I love you too", she replied before their lips met.
"Mama, are you going to stay here tonight?"
"Yes, sweetheart, I am."
"Really?" Sofia said as she jumped up with happiness. She ran to Arizona and wrapped her arms around her waist looking up at her.
"Can we all sleep in mommy's bed, I want to cuddle with both of you, and you can read me a story while mommy caresses my hair, can we mama?"
Arizona looked at Callie who was shaking her head into a no, Arizona chuckled, "Of course we can honey, I want to wrap my arms around you as well."
"Yay! I'll go get the books," Sofia exclaimed and ran happily to her room.
"Really? You could have said no to that request," Callie protested getting closer to Arizona.
Arizona laughed, "Don't pout, I'm still on my period so there would be no funky business anyway."
"Like that has ever stopped me," Callie said wrapping her arms around Arizona's waist.
Arizona laughed out loud, "Behave," she said removing Callie's hands, "We need to ease Sofia into everything, snuggling all together is a step in the right direction, her seeing us kiss, not so much."
Callie pouted again, "Fine, but when she falls asleep we are coming back here to make out on the couch a bit because I haven't kissed you since yesterday."
"Lucky for you I'm longing for your lips too," Arizona said with a wink and grabbed Callie's hand pulling her towards Sofia's room, "Come on, let's go get our daughter and tuck her in."
A few minutes later Sofia was happily placed between her moms, finding it hard to lie still, she rolled between them, and over them giggling joyfully. Suddenly she got on her feet and moved up trying to wrap her arms around both Callie and Arizona.
"What are you trying to do," Callie asked through laughter.
"I want to hug you both," Sofia explained.
Callie and Arizona smiled and sat up so that Sofia could hug them. She happily wrapped each arm around them and they took the opportunity to kiss her both at the same time, one on each cheek making Sofia giggle.
"Again!" she said jumping up and down.
"You need to stop jumping!" Callie said through laughter.
Sofia stopped for a moment to get her double kiss and then started jumping again.
"Okay, okay, that's enough now, time for the story. It's bedtime, not jump around time," Arizona said.
"Jump around time…" Sofia repeated and giggled at the words. She jumped down on the bed and settled in between Arizona and Callie.
Arizona read the first story and Callie caressed Sofia's hair exactly as she wanted. Then Sofia gave the second book to Callie and turned her back to Arizona.
"Can you rub my back, mama, I like falling asleep like that," Sofia asked and Arizona smiled.
"Of course honey," she said and placed her hand on Sofia's back rubbing it softly.
Callie raised her eyebrow and looked at Arizona, "Oh I'll have to steal that one," she mouthed.
"What?" Arizona whispered not managing to read Callie's lips.
"I'll tell you later…" Callie said as Sofia opened the book.
"Read, mommy."
"Okay, okay, I'll read," Callie said and smiled at Sofia.
Fifteen minutes later Arizona stopped moving her hand, "She's asleep," she whispered.
"Yeah," Callie confirmed and closed the book. Since Sofia wasn't leaning onto Arizona she softly lifted Sofia's head so Callie could get out of bed, she placed Sofia gently on the pillow and got out of bed slowly as well, while Callie put the blanket over Sofia.
When they met at the foot of the bed Arizona leaned into Callie who wrapped her left arm around Arizona's waist pulling her close. They both smiled looking at Sofia sleeping soundly. Callie turned her head towards Arizona and placed her right palm on Arizona's cheek. They both leaned forward to have their lips meet for a kiss.
"This makes me so happy to have you here next to me putting our daughter to bed," Callie whispered.
"I know, me too," Arizona said caressing Callie's arm.
Callie smiled and took Arizona's hand, "Come on," she whispered and led her to the living room pulling the door behind her but leaving it ajar.
They sat on the sofa and Arizona snuggled next to Callie wrapping her arms around Callie's waist and resting her head on Callie's shoulder. Callie wrapped her left arm around Arizona's shoulders and kissed her forehead. Arizona smiled and lifted her head to kiss Callie's lips.
"It's nice to see Sofia so happy," Arizona said with a smile.
"It's nice to see you so happy as well," Callie whispered kissing Arizona's cheek.
"I am really happy Callie, you make me so happy," Arizona said and let their lips meet again.
"I am really happy too, with you and Sofia," Callie said as their lips met again.
"So what was that about rubbing her back, that's a new one?" Callie asked.
"Oh, recently I was putting her to sleep and just started rubbing her back while lost in thoughts and she liked it and has been asking me to do that ever since. What did you whisper when you saw that, I didn't catch what you mouthed?"
Callie laughed quietly, "Oh I just said I would have to steal that one."
Arizona laughed, "You want me to rub your back and put you to sleep too?"
"Mm-hmm, I think that would be really nice," Callie said with a big grin on her face.
"I think that can be arranged," Arizona said and repositioned her body to lie on the sofa pulling Callie on top of her. As they started kissing she grazed her fingers up and down Callie's back.
"Like this?" she whispered in Callie's ear.
"Yes, exactly like that," Callie smiled and kissed Arizona with more passion.
TUESDAY
Her shift was almost finished and Arizona was looking forward to going home and cuddling with her daughter. She took her phone and entered the elevator, there was a message from Callie.
My emergency surgery was shorter than expected, done now so how about we go pick up Sofia together and have dinner at your place.
Yay! Best news ever - Arizona typed back smiling broadly. She heard the elevator door open but paid no attention to it.
"I was hoping to run into you," she heard and lifted her eyes in shock at the familiar voice.
"Lauren," Arizona uttered with disbelief.
"It's so nice to see you, Arizona," Lauren said getting closer to Arizona and leaning forward.
Arizona immediately lifted her hands protectively in front of her and put them against Lauren's shoulders to prevent her from getting closer.
"Whoa! What are you doing!?" Arizona said and was about to push Boswell away when the elevator doors opened again revealing Callie standing in front of them. Arizona's eyes met Callie's and her head started spinning immediately.
"Callie!" she yelled pushing Boswell away and rushing after Callie who had stormed off and was already half way across the hall. Arizona tried to catch up with her but she couldn't keep up. She saw Callie enter the on-call room and went after her.
"Callie, this is not what it looked like!" Arizona explained entering the room.
"Is it about her? Do you just have a thing for her or was this simply going to happen with any other woman at some point!?" Callie asked practically yelling.
"What!? No, I don't have a thing for her! There would be no other woman!" Arizona explained walking closer to Callie.
"Well it sure looked like you were going to kiss her!" Callie hissed stepping away.
"No! Callie, I was about to push her away! She leaned over with intention to kiss me and I placed my hands on her to stop her and was about to push her away when the doors opened!" Arizona tried explaining when suddenly she realized they were in the exact on-call room where she was with Boswell.
"Right," Callie laughed sarcastically, "and that is why you have this guilt spread all over your face!"
"No, Callie I swear I wasn't going to kiss her, the guilt… it's just… because I… I realized… where we are..." Arizona stuttered trying to stop the avalanche that was developing in front of her.
"Where we are! We are in an on-call room!" Callie yelled anger evident in her eyes. "There's one on each floor," she continued, "Why does it matter where w..." Callie stopped suddenly realizing what Arizona meant.
"Oh don't tell me…, this is where you fucked her!?" she said her voice filled with anger and pain.
Arizona was silent, she couldn't bring herself to hurt Callie again and she could see she was already hurting and she was so angry… but Arizona knew she needed to say it, she needed to face her mistakes, so she made herself meet Callie's eyes, and even though she knew the storm and the pain she would see in them, it still took her by surprise, she felt as if someone punched her in the stomach and kicked all the air out of her lungs, again.
"Answer me!" Callie shouted angrily.
"Yes, this is the room" Arizona managed to say and made herself not run from Callie's gaze. Arizona's eyes were a mixture of guilt, remorse, love and pleading. She was pleading Callie to give her the benefit of the doubt but Callie couldn't, not right now, her blood was boiling and she just needed to get away from this room and this whole situation.
"That's great!" Callie said and went for the door.
"Please Callie, you promised me you would count to ten before leaving!" Arizona pleaded.
Callie stopped for a second, her back turned to Arizona "I'm not so sure anymore I can do that!" she said coldly, "And I just realized that I obviously still haven't gotten over the cheating completely!", she added and left the room slamming the door on her way out.
Arizona just stood there, baffled completely, staring at the door.
How is this happening again? Why is this happening when I haven't even done anything wrong?, she thought.
"I haven't done anything…" Arizona whispered her eyes fixated on the door that Callie slammed shut behind her.
