Blue magical light filled the small, dingy basement of the Markarth house. The remaining Soul-squeezers appeared amongst the light as the blue become candlelight.
"That filthy half-breed killed our sister," said one of them. "We should get retribution."
"We will get our retribution," said Ruby. "But not yet. We have something more important to do."
She grabbed a map of Skyrim and unfurled it on the table.
"The Volkihar sisters have gone after the Hagraven," said Ruby.
"How do you know that?" asked one behind her.
"Lilith is the guardian of the princesses," replied Ruby. "The bounty letter was on the floor."
She returned back to the map.
"That means they have been transported to Coldharbour," said Ruby.
"We should go and get them," said another. "While they are vulnerable."
"No," said Ruby at once. "If they have gone after the Hagraven, they will know that something is wrong. They will be expecting an attack from something."
"So what do you suggest?" asked another.
Ruby was silent for a moment.
She then made her way to the alter. She touched it with her hand. A cold breeze filled the room, the candles were extinguished as a voice boomed around the room.
"What is it?" bellowed the voice of Molag Bol.
"My Lord, the Vampire Valeria has made it to Coldharbour," said Ruby. "She is at your disposal."
"Excellent," he called. "You have done well."
"Thank you my Lord," said Ruby. "Now, about the agreement."
He chuckled loudly.
"Once I have the princess, I will consider holding up the deal," he said.
The candles returned and he disappeared.
"He'll be back," said Ruby.
The threesome trudged up the hill in the direction of the ice water jetty. Valeria looked behind her to see Eleonora falling behind. Lucinda, who was leading, stopped and turned to look behind her.
"We've been walking for a day straight," complained Eleonora. "Can we rest here for a while?"
"We're almost at the castle," replied Lucinda. "You can rest there."
Valeria pulled out her last blood potion. She clutched it tightly for a moment and handed it to the Elf.
"Drink this," she said. "You'll feel better."
The Elf took the small vial of potion. She uncorked it and drained the contents in one. Lucinda looked at her sister.
"Valeria," she said. "That was your last one."
Valeria held up her hand to silence her.
"Don't worry sister," she said. "We can make more when we return to the mortal world."
"But..." protested Lucinda. "What about your..."
Valeria looked at her sister. She fell silent as the Elf hurried to them.
"Thank you," she said gratefully. "Let's go."
They began to make their way up the hill. Suddenly there was a flash of red light in front of them. A large guard materialised in front of them.
"Ah little Elf," he began. "We meet again."
The sisters looked up at the guardian. He was over 10 feet tall and carried a huge two handed Daedric Axe.
He looked down at the Lucinda and Valeria.
"Valeria Volkihar," he said. "My master is looking for you."
"We know," said the sisters together.
"I'm not interested in what your master wants," said Valeria. "Now, please excuse me. We would like to go home."
The guardian chuckled.
"You're not going anywhere," he said. "Until my master has dealt with you."
A huge ice spike flew through the air from behind them. It slammed into the guardians arm. He stumbled just as another flew towards him. They looked behind them to see Eleonora, her hands raised shooting continuous ice spikes at the guardian. Valeria drew her Daedric Bow and loaded an arrow from her quiver.
She moved aside and took aim. She fired, sending an arrow into his right arm. Lucinda drew her sword and advanced on him. She shot lightning from her right hand, her sword raised in her left. She lowered her sword, cleaving through his right leg. Another arrow soared through the air. It landed square in his abdomen. He doubled over. Lucinda thrust her sword into him. The sharp Elven blade penetrated his thick skin. He roared in pain.
Eleonora conjured a Dragon Priest, which in turn summoned a Storm Atronach. The Atronach rained lightning on the guardian. The Dragon Priest soared towards the guardian. It raised its hand and brought it down on the guardian. He roared loudly. Lucinda removed her sword. She was seconds from striking home again. The guardian swung his enormous axe at her.
Lucinda leapt back as it swung at her. The axe was sliced in front of her as the axe swung in front of her. He advanced on her, swinging his axe. It was so large that it could cut her clean in two. She leapt back as he advanced on her swinging his axe.
"Haha," he yelled. "Dance for my little Vampire princess."
Valeria fired another arrow. It slammed into his eye. The guardian screamed in pain and dropped his axe, holding his eye in agony.
"Good shot sister!" called Lucinda. The guardian roared in pain again. He grabbed Lucinda, who was nearest, and threw her bodily from himself. She flew through the air and slammed onto a nearby rock.
"Lucinda!" yelled Valeria.
The guardian laughed. Valeria threw down her bow and raised her hands. In one a large gout of fire spouted from them.
Seconds later the fire become a raging inferno. She thrust her hands forwards dousing the guardian in this magical fire. He issued a blood curdling scream as the fire burned his skin. Valeria's eyes glowed a deep, sinister red as her tiny fangs began to extend. She hissed angrily and advanced on the guardian dousing him in fire. He writhed and screamed in agony before falling into a heap on the ground. She continued burning him with magical fire, long after he had expired.
"Valeria!" called Eleonora. "Valeria. Stop!"
She ran up to her and tried to shake her. Valeria ignored her. Eleonora slammed an ice spike into her back. The fire stopped and Valeria turned to look at her. Her eyes glowed deep, blood red. Eleonora pointed to her sister out cold on a nearby rock. Valeria's eyed widened in horror. She sprinted to her sister and slid across the floor. She ran her hand along her sister, gold light issued from her hand as she did so.
Lucinda coughed and opened her eyes slowly. She sat up and looked over to her sister.
"I'm feeling a strong sense of deja vu," joked Lucinda.
"Well perhaps you should stop getting yourself in dangerous situations," replied Valeria smiling.
"Oh sister," said Lucinda. "You clearly don't know me at all."
Valeria beamed and hugged her older sister. Lucinda pushed her off and slowly got to her feet.
Eleonora watched them.
"How are you feeling?" she asked as Lucinda got to her feet.
"I'm quite alright," replied Lucinda. She dusted herself off and glanced at the guardian.
"He's dead my dear," said Valeria.
Lucinda scuffed the toe of her steel capped boots against its face.
"Your little sister is quite the fire starter," said Eleonora her voice mixed with fear and awe.
"I told you there would be some enemies for you to kill," joked Lucinda.
Valeria chuckled.
"Come on," she said. "Let's get to Castle Volkihar."
