Done Deal

"This is so boring," Marlene muttered under her breath.

James snorted, nudging her elbow. She grinned at him, and then turned back to the table, pretending that she was giving the meeting her full attention. Honestly, she'd be quite happy for the floor to open up and consume her at this point.

Not even Sirius and James, their usually jokey relief, had anything to really laugh at for this meeting; it was really that boring.

Finally, Dumbledore drew the meeting to a close, and Marlene stretched out in her seat. "Thank Merlin for that."

"I'm surprised we didn't all fall into a stupor," James replied. "Ready to get out of here?"

She nodded, taking his hand. They offered their goodbyes to their friends before they left, the cold winter air hitting them in the face.

"Cinema?" James offered. "Lily said there's a new movie we'll like."

"I don't wanna pretend to be a Muggle," Marlene said, shaking her head. "It's too much effort. Can we just go back to yours and eat all of the chocolate and snuggle?"

"Sounds good to me," James agreed, wrapping his arms around her before he Apparated them both directly to his flat.

Marlene sneezed, and then sneezed again and again and again, making James chuckle. She threw a piece of chocolate at him, but he just caught it in his mouth, a shit eating grin on his face.

Asshole.

"You literally have the cutest sneeze I've ever heard," he said, shaking his head. "It's enough to make the coldest man's heart melt."

"You want me to sneeze at the Dark Lord, see if I can get him to renounce his shitty ideals?" she offered, making him laugh again as she leant into his side.

He wrapped his arms around her. "I don't ever want you near him, but sure, if the opportunity presents itself, sneeze all over him."

Snuggling closer, Marlene smiled. "Done deal."
