(Swan Residence)
Charlie Swan was alone in the house. He had been watching t.v when the phone rang. He quickly answered it and found that the person calling him was his best friend Billy Black.
"Hey Billy."
"Hey Charlie. How's married life treating you?" He asked. (Lily seems better for him than Rene. Can't believe that she took Bella and left without telling Charlie. Only a coward leaves a note behind.)
"Great." He answered with a smile.
"That's great. How's Bella and Harry doing?" He asked.
"Good. Harry's coming over for a family dinner tomorrow." Charlie said. (I just hope the kid's comfortable being here.)
"That's good. How are he and Bella doing?" Billy asked.
"They're getting along great. Remember Jessica Stanley?" He asked.
"Yes." That girl was a two faced bitch that dated one of the boys on La Push while dating someone at her school and ended up breaking both the hearts of both the boys she had been dating. "Why?"
"From what I was told she had decided that it was okay to pick on Bella on her first day of school." He said.
"About what?" He asked. "Bella's a sweet and quiet girl. What could she have done to piss that brat off?"
"According to Bella and Harry, Jessica accused Bella of dressing like a slut. That day Bella had worn jeans, a long sleeve shirt, and a jacket. Jessica was the one who was dressed inappropriately." He said.
"Why?" He asked.
"From what I can gather jealousy. Bella rejected her friendship after she insulted Dr. Cullen and her wife for not having children. Then there was the fact almost everyone at school was talking about Bella and not her." Charlie said.
"Haven forbid she not be the center of attention." He said sarcastically. (I may not like the Cullen's for being vampires but insulting someone for adopting just because they can't have kids is wrong."
"Exactly."
"What happened after that?" Feeling that there was more to the story.
"Harry had walked into the cafeteria and heard and saw Jessica picking on her. He snapped and told her off before taking Bella to a table." He said.
"Really?" He liked the boy more and more.
"Yup and then after that she had been caught by a teacher for her choice in clothing that day. I heard that the Stanleys aren't pleased to hear what their daughter had worn to school." He said.
"Karma." Billy laughed.
"Indeed." He agreed.
"At least the two are getting along." He said knowing how worried Charlie had been about that.
"He now brings her lunch to school everday." He said.
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"That's nice of him." He said.
"Yeah it is." Charlie agreed.
"Do you think he'd be okay coming to my house for a barbecue?" He asked.
"I'll ask. He'll most likely bring Luna with him and her father." He warned.
"Alright." If it helped the boy he was okay with that.
"I'll talk to you later Billy." He said when he heard the front door.
"Alright. Later Charlie." Billy said.
Charlie hung up the phone. His wife entered the room. He smiled and went over to her.
"Billy invited us over to the barbecue. Harry was also invited." He told her.
"That's nice of them. What about Luna and Xeno?" Lily asked.
"They were also invited." He assured her.
"That's good. I'll call and ask." She said.
"Okay. I'll tell Bella when she gets back." He said.
"Okay."
(Headmaster's office)
"Good morning Molly, Miss Weasley." Albus greeted as the two entered his office.
"Morning Albus." Molly greeted him back.
"Morning headmaster." Ginny greeted him.
"Are we ready?" He asked them.
"I'm sorry Albus but I refuse to sign a marriage contract." The older redhead said.
"WHAT?!" Ginny yelled.
"Excuse me?" Albus whispered in shock.
"My daughter and Harry are too young for this. Not to mention we don't know how Harry feels." Molly said.
"Molly I-" She cut him off.
"Not only that but only the head of the Weasley house can sign the contract." She reminded him. (Too bad for you Arthur and I planned a head so you can't make him sign the contract either.)
"True." He couldn't believe he forgot that.
"But mum-"
"No buts Ginny. Your father and I agreed-" Ginny cut her off.
The girl stood up and looked at her mum through watery eyes. "I hate you both." She screamed. "Why must you ruin my life?!"
"Gin-"
"I hate you!" She ran out.
"Molly?" He looked very ashamed of himself but Molly knew it was an act.
"Yes?"
"I'm sorry. My worry for Harry clouded my judgement." He said.
"I understand. It's alright." She lied.
"Thank you." He acted relieved.
"I have to go. I'll see you later." She said.
"Of course Molly. Goodbye." He said.
"Goodbye." She left.
"I'll need Arthur." Albus said.
Albus just needed to be patient. He would be at the ministry in two days. He would get him there. The contract would then be signed. He looked up when Ginny entered his office.
"I'm sorry for how I acted headmaster." She was very upset that she disappointed a great man like him.
"I know." He wasn't that upset about it.
"What now?" She asked.
"In two days I have to go to the ministry. I'll talk to your father." He said. (And make him sign.)
"Okay." She said.
"Go do homework or hang out with friends." He said.
"Yes sir." She said.
Ginny stood and left the office. Albus sighed and sat back in his chair. He couldn't wait for two days to pass.
(Swan Residence)
"Lily?" Charlie walked into the kitchen.
"Yes?" She looked up.
"There's a letter for you." He said. "The owl is in the living room."
"Oh." She walked into the living room and her husband followed.
She grabbed the letter and handed the owl a piece of chicken. The owl accepted the chicken as Lily grabbed the letter. The owl then flew off.
"It's from Severus?!" She exclaimed.
"Isn't that the man the dark lord killed?" He asked.
"Yes but maybe he wasn't killed. Dumbledore lied to me about my son." She said.
"That's true." He said.
She looked back at the letter and began reading.
Dear Lily,
Harry wrote to me. Apparently the portrait of James Potter told him about us having a sibling bond. I was very surprised but pleased to hear that you were alive. When I heard the news that you had been killed I was devastated especially since I couldn't raise your son. Then I was ordered and made a vow to protect him. I was forced to become a teacher at Hogwarts. I knew that the Dark Lord was alive and that the children were at school. In order to keep Harry safe I had to pretend to hate him and be horrible to him. The relief I felt turned to anger. All this time you were alive and forced to mourn a son you thought was dead. You two were forced apart and so were we. Don't worry I will make sure he pays for this.
Sincerely,
Severus Snape
"Oh."
"What is it?" Charlie asked.
"Harry wrote to him. The portrait of James told him about Severus being like my brother. He wrote to him to make sure he knew that I was alive." She explained.
"That was nice of him." He said.
"Yeah. I'm going to write him back." She said.
"Okay." He said.
"Remind me again why I am not allowed to viciously murder Albus Dumbledore?" She asked.
Charlie gave her a sympathetic look. "It's illegal dear."
"I can dispose of the body and the evidence." She said.
"You want his death on your hands and conscious?" He asked.
Lily sighed. "I guess not."
"He will pay." He hugged her.
"He better." She grumbled.
"Go write that letter." He said.
"Okay.
