Chapter 13 – The Death of Marian Cross

Then we went to our new building which had me sighing since we know had a lot of stuff to move over plus we would be getting new rooms plus we would have to get used to the new place. I sighed hating the fact that we had to do this all over again but luckily I had managed to get all of dad's things that he had hidden there which I told him about before we left. Although I hated going there by boat since it was in the rain, which I didn't like since it made my hair and fur stink so I would need a shower later. I noticed Allen was becoming more friendly with everyone which had me both happy and scared since it would make the betrayal all the more painful for him. I knew to keep everyone at arm's length so I wouldn't be hurt when the order betrays us later since I would go with Allen instead of staying with the order. Mostly because if they betrayed one of us then they would betray more of us and I wasn't about to stand around and wait for that to happened to me so if Allen left I'd leave to. Then Allen opened up the ark when we got to inside after giving the new code to the guardian which hopefully meant that they wouldn't do anything stupid now. Allen and I both went to our new room but I told Allen not to get to used to it since we might not be here for to much longer depending on what the order did.

Kira: "I have a feeling they wont sit quiet with knowing you're the fourteenth's host."

Allen: "I know Kira, I know but that doesn't mean everyone here is like that."

Kira: "I know Allen, I know I'm writing letter's to them so they'll know."

He just nodded since it was something I would do only for those I truly trusted which was very hard to earn especially with who my father was and how he didn't trust the order at all. Then we started walking around with Link who was made to follow Allen around which meant me to since I was always with him mostly to protect him which he liked. Mostly because it kept him happy knowing I was always on his side and not trying to do anything to hurt him like some people which I hated since it made them seem fake. Then one night we were in the library reading or more like seeing if there was anything that we haven't read yet in there which had Allen laughing when I told him I've read everything there.

Allen: "We really need to go shopping and get you some new books."

I nodded just before the window cracked making me jump before looking at Allen scared before taking off down the hallway feeling dad's magic flowing into me as tears started flowing down my face. When I got to the room I froze seeing blood on the window ceil and the window broken I fell to the floor to shocked to stay standing anymore. My head fell down so my gaze was looking at the ground I looked like I was nothing more than a doll but then I saw a green glow so I looked up at it to see a green innocence cube. When I lifted my hands up to it the cube became red before spilling into my hands which had me smiling slightly as I brought it to my mouth and downed it. Ignoring what Lvellie was saying but then my entire body lit up in pain which flowed down to my wrist which then split open and blood poured from my wrists. What looked like a fallen angel without a head, it seemed to look at me before leaning over my wrists as if it was asking me if I wanted to do this.

Kira: "Shall we avenge father together?"

It looked up at my pained expression before going back into my wrist's making me smile as the bracelets appeared on my wrist's just big enough to allow me to put on clothes but small enough that they wouldn't fall off my wrists. Allen picked me up and carried me away from all of that but now I knew I had to gather up everything just in case the order betrayed us. Once I was somewhat better I went down to where master kept Maria and smiled up at her with tears coming down my face as I looked up at her.

Kira: "Maria, father's been killed and I plan to avenge him. Do you wanna come with us to avenge father?"

She started glowing brightly which made me smile at her so I made her coffin small so it could fit on a necklace before I walked out and back to my room remembering the present Tyki gave me. So I pulled it out once I had the door shut and locked it was wrapped in silver and purple paper with a red ribbon with butterflies charms on it. With a big T embroiled on the end of it right in the middle at the end of the ribbon, Allen had gotten around to telling me that the butterflies that were flying around my head were actually called Teeze. When I opened the present keeping the ribbon planning to tie my hair with it since it was cute but when I pulled away the paper I saw that it was a medium sized box. I opened the box and gasped seeing a medium sized necklace with the Teeze surrounding a big TK so it made me smile thinking he was doing this on purpose since he had used both of our names. In the spaces between each one was small rubies and amethysts so I quickly put it on but then I saw something else in it so I pulled it out to see it was a small silver chain chocker. So I took out Maria and attacked her to the chocker before putting it on, although I didn't expect him to get me two necklaces like this. However that was when I saw the card and picked it up curious knowing I had to keep this a secret from the order since they wouldn't like it that I was doing this with a noah… it was almost like we were courting. Then I heard a knock on my door so I put the box in my bag before I got up and answered the door to see Allen and Lenalee standing there which got me confused.

Allen: "We got a mission."

I groaned looking at them knowing I wasn't fully healed yet which was driving me crazy especially after dad died but I nodded before closing and locking my door before heading out with them. I noticed that Marie, Kanda, and Link were going with us since Lenalee was going on a different mission, I guess they were planning to keep Allen and I together so they can keep an eye on us. When we got there I almost head planted with the ground since we were chasing what I was calling a puppeteer around since he kept changing bodies. When he took over Link I smiled walking up to him before pulling back my fist and let it fly to his face knocking him down which had Allen laughing while Marie and Kanda sighed.

Kira: "Sorry boys but he's had that coming for days."

Marie: "Just make sure his boss doesn't find out."

Kira: "I don't care, he can do what he wants' especially if he wants me to end out just like my dad."

Allen: "She'd do it to."

We all laughed at that before finding out that the person behind all of this was a kid from an orphanage who was already able to use the innocence Implanted into his head. So while we were talking with him my head snapped up before I groaned which had everyone looking at me just before akuma showed up which made everyone understand why I groaned.

Allen: "This is going to be fun."

Kira: "Yep! Link get the kids and nun outta here! It'll be harder for us to fight and protect them from this many."

He nodded knowing I said the truth before taking off with them while Maria, Kanda, Allen and I took care of the akuma which involved a few evolved level fours I couldn't see a way out of here so I knew the Earl must have placed a barrier around us.

Kira: "Great this is going to be fun."

Allen: "What do you mean Kira?"

Kira: "The Earl placed a barrier around us."

He looked at me shocked before going back to work while I kept destroying the level four's and three's but it seemed like I was the only one who was able to handle them easily. So I was running around trying to protect everyone that is until something exploded behind me making me hit the ground near Allen which had me groaning.

Kira: "Ok… that hurt…"

I said getting up only to have a level four point his gun at me but seemed to stop which had me confused but then I realized my jacket had split open and was hanging off my shoulder's letting the bite wound be visible.

Level Four: "So you're the one master noah said to leave alone."

Kira: "Seriously!! Now he's involving the akuma… what the hell is he thinking…"

Allen: "Probably nothing cept getting you over to their side."

Kira: "Shut up."

I said groaning knowing this was going to mark me as a traitor in the order's eyes which had me sighing before getting up only to have explosions hit near me which had me flying into the wall near Allen. Which had me groaning since I felt the wounds on my back open up although I was happy that the bite wound was sealed so it didn't open up again. Then Allen pinned a level four to him with his sword which awakened the noah with in him making me upset since that meant that I only had a short amount of time before he fully awakened.

Allen: "Good evening Earl, have you forgotten everyone?"

That had me really confused but before I could say anything Kanda showed up and destroyed the level four bringing Allen back out however just as I was about to go back to fighting a level four showed up and had it guns pointed at me. Then this weird man showed up and started sucking akuma into his hand while I fell to my knees tired since I wasn't fully healed yet and this made my innocence go into over drive which wasn't good. Plus my brain was still grieving the loss of my dad so my innocence wasn't fully stable right now which wasn't good when fighting akuma but shortly after that the barrier surrounding us broke. I could see that half the place was destroyed from our attacks and from the akuma which had me sighing but I had to hand it to the kid, Timothy, since he managed to swindle the higher ups into funding the orphanage. As well as paying for the orphanage to get fixed among other things which made me know this kid belonged to our circle since a lot of us do the same thing.
