Summary/disclaimer: time for another chapter of Anodite Attraction. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Ben Ten, Cartoon Network and a few others do.
It took Verdona 5 minutes to reach the ship and land on the ramp. It took Fintan 15 to reach the ramp which made him sigh.
"Did you really have to fly the entire way here without me?" Fintan asked while taking a moment to rest. Verdona giggled which caused Fintan to role his eyes under his helmet.
"Would you have preferred I just teleported you to the ramp?" Verdona asked which made Fintan look at the Anodite with a face that radiated both shock and annoyance.
"You're an evil woman sometimes." Fintan muttered as he walked his suit inside. It seemed the suit sported anti-radiation technology. Fintan exited the suit and his body didn't melt any of the systems or set off alarms. "Hmm, I think this ship is old school." Fintan stated while cracking his back and hummed.
Fintan looked at Verdona as he crossed his arms. Verdona walked up to the Prypiatosian-B. Fintan brushed off his armor.
"You know your adorable when you're trying to be serious?" Verdona said which made Fintan look away, embarrassed. "This looks like a Techadon ship." Verdona said before Fintan raised an eyebrow and turn to look at her.
The duo started to float around the small, triangle like ship. Fintan guessed it did belong to the Techadons. They couldn't just send an entire factory over without some sort of transport ship.
"Do you think it's even safe?" Fintan questioned while looking around the upper parts of the ship. Verdona ran her hands over the metal of the walls. She closed her eyes, trying to locate any trace of organic life.
No, this ship was meant to bring Techadon robots across the galaxy. That meant more or less it appeared unfit for organic life, presumably as a security measure when it didn't return to them.
That said? They weren't energy beings. Neither required oxygen to live which meant she and Fintan could easily take the ship out and about.
"Look for security systems." Fintan said while feeling along the wall. "Alarms, weapons. Anything that they'd use against people trying to take over." Fintan said before noticing a ladder.
Fintan was starting to realize the ship served the same role as a freighter would. It hauled cargo, just without any real personal to run or operate the ship. Fintan guessed due to probably sharing the same technology of the Techadon robots? The ship repaired itself and would attack or flee anyone depending on how dangerous they probably were to the vessel in question.
'Techadons could be a lot more dangerous if they weren't concerned with being just fancy weapon makers.' Fintan thought to himself before landing on a ledge and walking through the door.
Fintan noticed a cockpit which seemed unused besides 2 chairs. It seemed the ship was supposed to be piloted by Techadons in the event the AI or whatever piloting system aboard the vessel failed.
Fintan finally was starting to guess why the ship hadn't opened fire on them or such. It would lash out at any organic life that posed a threat.
Fintan was organic, at least enough to have DNA… But he guessed since he and Verdona weren't organic beings like the rest of the galaxy save a few? The security system didn't register anything that it deemed a threat and wished to attack.
'Techadons are more arrogant then they have any right to be.' Fintan thought to himself while cracking his back. Fintan let out a yawn and took a seat at one of the chairs.
It took only a moment till Verdona floated up and next to him. Fintan hummed and looked at Verdona.
"I don't think the ship believes anyone is here since we're not organic enough to register on its sensors." Fintan stated while running his hands over the systems and consoles.
"Then I guess we get a free ship and more." Verdona said before kicking her feet up on the console. Fintan hummed and looked at his partner with a roll of his eyes.
"You are so childish." Fintan said with a smirk pulling at his lips.
"You just seem to bring it out of me the most." Verdona said, returning the gesture as Fintan chuckled and rolled his eyes.
"It's going to take a bit of time for me to fix the ship… But I guess we can do that in orbit." Fintan said before looking for the engine button.
He blinked as Verdona pointed to a button on the dashboard which caused Fintan to sigh and press it.
Fintan just added it to the list of things Verdona was never going to let him live down.
Fintan allowed the ship to pilot itself as he went to remove to self-navigation circuit. He didn't want the ship to return back to the Techadons on its own.
Verdona waited for her friend/partner to return back. She rested her hands behind her head.
Author Notes
Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out these chapters might be a little behind schedule when it comes to things like that. Next chapter will be in 2 weeks and will show Fintan fixing the ship and Verdona and him naming it along with more bonding. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
P.S: Next chapter will 900 words, Charmcaster and Lucy are this week and are 900 words.
