Midnight started speaking "alright the final round is here let's get the first round competitors out here!" There was cheering and hollering as Midnight introduced Deku and Shinso into the ring. Midnight called the match to begin. Shinso started talking "you made it here on sheer luck and I bet you your monkey friend of a classmate told you about my quirk." Deku made fists and started running while saying "you're not allowed to make fun of Ojiro like that!" After a second Deku stopped dead in his tracks. Ojiro got up and said "I warned him about this!" Nagisa looked at Deku while saying "Why is he just standing there?" Ani starred in shock and worry. She got up and quickly ran to find her dad knowing he is probably at the entrance where Deku entered the arena from. She got there and sure enough her dad was staying out of sight. She got there to hear Shinso say "now turn around and walk out of bounds for me." What happened next made everyone watch in utter shock as Deku turned around and started walking back the way he came. All Might watched in horror seeing Deku doing what Shinso told him to do. All Might started shouting "Come on kid get back in there and show them what you're made of!" Ani stood next to her dad seeing Deku walking towards them. Ani put her hand on her dad's shoulder saying "it's no use dad he is completely under Shinso's control." Present Mic spoke over the speakers "Shinso's quirk is called brainwashing he can brainwash anyone that answers his question, but not every question does it though."

Up in the stands Kaminari started speaking "Midoriya is doing exactly what Shinso told him to do!" Nagisa was wondering where Ani went running off to. Ojiro is super upset about what is taking place in front of him. Uraraka said "Midoriya can get himself out of this right?" Nagisa said "the only way is if he bumped into someone but he can't do that." Down in the entrance All Might and Ani watched as Deku continued to walk. Ani saw Deku's hand start to glow. Ani said "what is going on?" All Might looked at her saying "what do you mean he is walking out of bound in less than a few seconds." Ani got him to turn around just in time to see Deku flick his fingers releasing a blast down at the ground. After a while the smoke cleared showing Deku standing an inch before the boundary line panting. In the stands Ojiro sighed as he said "thank god he had me worried." Nagisa teared up saying "he did it! He broke Shinso's quirk!" All Might sighed as Ani was smiling saying "that was a close one but he was able to gain some control over his motor functions to send a blast off." All Might continued watching along with Ani.

Shinso got mad and started shouting "how did you do that?!" Deku covered his mouth. He thought about what just happened. I was able to move but that wasn't me who fired off that blast he thought to himself. Shinso kept screaming "you got lucky! You won't pull that stunt off again!" Deku ran at Shinso and started pushing him back towards the boundary line. Shinso punched Deku then Shinso got the upper hand and started pushing Deku back while shouting awful things at Deku. Deku was able to stop before the boundary line. Shinso tried shoving Deku once more but Deku broke free enough to use the move that he used on Bakugou during the battle training. Shinso got slammed on the ground. All Might and Ani were shocked he was able to pull that off without going out of bounds himself. Midnight spoke "Shinso is out of bounds! Midoriya is the winner!"

After that Shinso was praised for his quirk and told Deku not to lose his next match. After that Deku went to Recovery Girl for his broken fingers. When he got there All Might and Ani were there with Recovery Girl. Recovery Girl went right to work on Deku's fingers, healing them as best as possible before wrapping them up saying "This wasn't too bad." Deku nodded saying "it was the only thing I could do to stop Shinso's quirk." Recovery Girl jabbed All Might in the right side saying "Were you pushing this poor boy again!?" All Might rubbed his side while waving his other saying "it was necessary and ow that hurt!" Deku spoke "All Might when I was under Shinso's quirk I saw figures about 8 or 9 of them." All Might looked up at Deku as he continued speaking "One of the figures had eyes like yours could they be spirits guiding me?" All Might shook saying "Okay I'm a ghost?!" Deku spoke "I thought you would have answers?!" All Might folded his arms saying "yeah I saw something like that once too. I think it has to do with the remanence of the previous users. Don't worry, I don't think it will happen again." Deku rubbed his head saying "I guess but that isn't very helpful." All Might spoke again "Hey don't worry about that you should be worried about the next fight." Deku snapped out of his thoughts and said "Oh yeah!" He rushed out, turning to say "thank you so much." before he ran down the hall to join the rest of the class. All Might looked at Ani and said "You should go too just so you can be prepared for your fight." Ani nodded before leaving. After she was gone, Recovery Girl said "He saw you there." All Might nodded saying "that's a good thing." Ani arrived back sitting next to Nagisa to see the next match.

Midnight called the next match introducing Todoroki and Sero. That match ended with a glacier size ice wall that had Sero completely immobilized. Todoroki melted the ice so that the next match could happen. The matches didn't last that long. Ani headed to the waiting room because her match was coming soon and she needed to concentrate on a plan. A knock came on the door. The door opened revealing Deku and her dad. She looked at them before saying "what are you guys doing here?" Her dad smiled while saying "come to wish you luck." Deku held a book out for Ani and said "I made a plan for you." Ani smiled and hugged Deku. She said while pulling away "thanks Deku but I want to do this without help ok?" Deku nodded while Ani walked to go to the arena. She turned around before leaving, giving Deku and her dad a thumbs up.

Deku and All Might went back to watch Ani's match. Deku got back in time as Midnight said "and let the final match of the first round begin!" Bakugou started speaking "you should just give up Ani. I am way stronger than you." Ani looked at him before running while saying "sorry Bakugou but I have people watching me and I don't want to let them down!" Bakugou sent a blast at Ani which she barely had enough time to put a shield up. She got sent back a few feet. The smoke cleared around ani showing that she got a few scrapes but was still standing. Ani thought to herself he was going to throw a right hook and I had no time to throw a proper shield up. Ani quickly started running again while thinking I got to try to push him back! Bakugou sent another blast at Ani who put another shield up on time this time.

The smoke cleared and Ani started running at Bakugou again. Present Mic commented "Ani just got attacked again and is still going at Bakugou even though she doesn't have the upper hand." Bakugo sent another blast at Ani who put up another shield. Deku and Nagisa watched hoping that whatever Ani was planning works. Bakugou started backing up trying to create distance between him and Ani. Ojiro spoke "he isn't giving her any break." Mineta spoke next "like I suspected Bakugou is a total sadist." Bakugou thought to himself how can she keep putting shields up and not get blown back? Bakugou kept blasting her but she kept coming. He knew he wouldn't defeat her in hand to hand combat. He needed to end it and fast. Someone in the stands shouted "finish her off! She probably won't have much energy left if you use a big blast on her!" Another person in the stands said "yeah this is lame finish so we can move on to the next fight!" After a few minutes Mr. Aizawa spoke "whoever said that needs to rethink their career! Bakugou knows he could finish her off but he also can see the determination she is giving to stay in the fight and recognizes her potential!" Ani started running again hoping that Bakugou was close to his limit. Ani punched Bakugou who took the hit but put his hand near her stomach before saying "you should have listened." Ani's eyes went wide but didn't have any time to put a shield up. Bakugou sent a blast out sending Ani flying to the other side of the ring landing a few feet before the boundary line. Jirou gasped before saying "that was so cruel!" Ani struggled to get up. Nagisa was tearing up and said "Ani please stay down."

All Might watched seeing his daughter hurt but wants to keep going on in the fight. Ani took a couple steps forward. All Might starred in horror and disbelief. Ani kept taking small steps forward. Bakugou was shocked thinking how is she still able to move? Iida spoke "Midnight needs to call the match Ani is just running on will power now." Present Mic spoke "she is so determined to win! She isn't caring how hurt she is!" Bakugou stepped back. Ani kept going forward towards Bakugou thinking come on, I have to keep going. Bakugou sank to his knees while watching Ani slowly stepping towards him. Bakugou thought to himself she won't give up until she wins or is completely dead. Bakugou spoke loud and clear so Midnight could hear him "I give up! She wins!" Midnight looked at Bakugou before saying "you sure?" Bakugou yelled "yes I'm sure!" Midnight raised her hand and said "Bakugou forfeited the match! Ani is the winner of the final match of round one!" Ani sank to her knees and started to silently cry.

After that Ani passed out from sheer exhaustion and was immediately rushed to Recovery Girl to have her wounds healed. Ani woke up a few minutes later to find her dad staring at her. All Might smiled "hey sleeping beauty" he said quietly. Ani blinked a couple of times. She spoke quietly "what happened?" All Might explained what happened to her match. Ani started tearing up before shakily saying "I should have just stopped but I wanted to win so badly." All Might took her hand and squeezed it. He shook his head before saying "you did wonderful Deku told me that when Bakugou got back to where the class was watching he was silently shaking." Ani sat up saying "still he could have used a small blast. I had no more energy to block another attack." All Might nodded while saying "that's true but I think what you told him at the beginning of the match finally made him realize the determination you have."

After that Recovery Girl checked to see how Ani was feeling before giving Ani the okay to leave. All Might hugged her tightly before they went to watch Deku's match. When Ani arrived Bakugou was standing in the stairway leading down to the sitting area that class 1-A was sitting. Ani looked at Bakugou who had clenched fists. He probably is upset that he had to give up she thought to herself. Bakugou looked up at her before saying "how did you survive that blast? It should have knocked you completely out." Ani looked down a bit before saying "I don't know. All I know is that I was thinking to get back up and push through." Bakugou looked at her before saying "you were badly injured you should have just stayed down!" Ani looked down more and started shaking as tears started falling down her face. Bakugou looked in astonishment at what was happening before him.

Ani started speaking "trust me I know I had no chance at winning. The plan I had was the only thing going for me." Bakugou put his hand up while saying "don't cry about it. Be glad you won at this point just focus on winning your next match." Ani shakily nodded as Bakugou went and sat next to Kirishima. Ani walked down to sit next to Nagisa. Nagisa hugged Ani and said "you did an amazing job, any pro hero who saw what you did would be foolish not to pick you up." Ani smiled half heartedly before looking at the arena. Midnight started speaking "Alright let the second round commence!" Everyone started cheering. Midnight started speaking again "Let's get the competitors out here! We have Midoriya versus Todoroki!"

There was loud cheering as Deku and Todoroki stepped onto the stage. Nagisa started speaking "Who do you think is going to win?" Ani watched and said "I want to say Deku but Todoroki has more power than what he is showing everyone. I think Deku is going to try and draw that power out of him." Nagisa turned and looked at Ani while saying "Isn't that going to disqualify Deku?" Ani shook her head as everyone looked at her. She said "No it won't if he smack talks him." Ashido spoke up behind Ani "Todoroki won't fall for it thought." Ani shook her head again before saying "not unless he hits the right emotion." Nagisa turned back while thinking to himself the right emotion?

Midnight shouted "let the match begin!" Todoroki sent ice at Deku who flicked a finger sending a powerful blast at the ice. The ice broke apart and was blown away. Kaminari spoke up "Deku just destroyed Todoroki's attack!" Todoroki sent another one which Deku promptly took care of. Todoroki started speaking "you used one of your broken fingers?!" Deku said "look at me Todoroki I got hurt but I am still standing!" Todoroki sent another one which got blown back. It went back and forth between each other. After a while Deku spoke again "stop holding your father's power back! It's your power not his!" Deku made a fist and shouted "you haven't made a scratch on me yet Todoroki! Now give me everything you got!"

After a few minutes something let loose in Todoroki. It got hot super fast and Todoroki started using his fire with his ice. Uraraka put her hands up and said "he is using his fire!" Nagisa put his hands up while saying "it feels like a sauna!" Ashido shouted "this is insane!" Deku let his full power go, launching at Todoroki as Todoroki did the same thing. Just before they hit four walls of cement went up between them which got broken through and caused a massive explosion of air to happen sending debris everywhere. Shoji grabbed Mineta who screamed "holy crap balls!" Once it settled down and the smoke started to clear there was a figure on the stage. It revealed Todoroki panting and missing half his uniform. Ani turned to the left of the stadium which the smoke cleared with Deku pressed up against with both his arms broken. Deku fell to the ground as Midnight announced "Midoriya is out of bounds Todoroki is the winner!"

Everyone cheered as the medical robots picked up the unconscious Deku and took him to Recovery Girl. Nagisa looked at the damage that was done. Ani silently got up and walked up the stairs. In Recovery Girl's makeshift office Deku was getting treated for the wounds that he sustained. All Might stood there watching. Recovery Girl said "there are bits of bone shrapnel that I have to get out before he can have surgery." All Might nodded as the door opened revealing Ani. Recovery Girl looked before prepping. Ani came up and stood next to her dad before asking "how is her?" Recovery Girl looked at her before saying "he is in the worst shape he is going to need surgery." Ani looked down before saying "Deku why did you push Todoroki?" Deku looked at her before saying "because he looked hurt and lost."

Ani sighed before saying "well let's hope he snaps out of it." Deku nodded before saying "Ani you did an amazing job against Kacchan." Ani smiled while saying "I really didn't do much damage to him. I won on sheer luck." All Might chimed in saying "she also ran on stubbornness and determination." Recovery Girl moved and said "Ok you need to go back now." Ani looked down and said "Ma'am can I stay? I will stay quiet the whole time." Recovery Girl sighed saying "alright but don't think you won't be helping with getting his arms relocated in some places after I remove the bone fragments from his arms." Ani nodded before Recovery Girl started the procedure. The match between Iida and Hatsume was nothing but an advertisement which Hatsume landed herself out of bounds. In the first round Tetsutestu Tetsutetsu and Kirishima tied so they moved it to the next round. Kirishima and Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu did arm wrestling where Kirishima was the victor. After a while Deku was patched up and bandaged up where Recovery Girl scolded All Might and told him he needed to find another way for Deku to use his quirk without destroying himself repeatedly. As they walked Deku and All Might talked and All Might came out telling Deku and Ani that he too was Quirkless. He also told Deku that he was impressed on how well Deku was doing. They went back but Ani had been called because she was to face Kirishima next.
