Okay, first things first… I'm so, so sorry. My college tests begun and I couldn't find it in my schedule to deliver this, also I was about to post it yesterday, but I was so tired that I couldn't, I'm really sorry for that.

Sorry to disappoint you mate, but Aichi didn't need Zenith on that one. Still, his deck is overpower as it is right now, that much we can agree on… right? Well, at least that's what it seems, but this chapter's about to show you guys that Aichi and Kai are still small fish in a huge ocean… if you catch my drift.

Gaillard as Aichi's brother? That one is something unexpected, but yes I do agree about the fact that they look similar, I really did think that they were related back in Legion Mate. This is getting really interesting now!"
I'm glad to know that there are others who follow the best Anime Ship that Bushiroad ever made and destroyed out there. Well, we all know it's true, after the V season. (I've basically dropped the anime after Kourin went to USA in that scene).
Yeah, a lot of people is saying that one. I mean, Bushiroad can't really fault us at that… after all, they basically made a copy of Aichi sprint and added red eyes on it. Tanks for the compliment man.

About the four copies, now his deck will work. If it's gonna grant him some kind of hack, I can't tell you, at least not now.
BladeBlaster: "What Jun wants to resurrect people!? Emi was watching a magical girl show I see what you did there. Also, my boy Aichi is finally back at Card Capital! His fight with Nadoki was really intense. I like that he was trying to win with his own strength."
Yeah… that's his main goal for now.
Good, I mean, it couldn't be more obvious than that. I did dropped the anime after dimensions, but I still kept in touch with vanguard news for, I don't know, in case Chrono becomes the protagonist again or something (For those who don't know, I'm a big fan of Gear Chronicle).
Yeah, he really did try right? I mean, in the long run, it's not gonna be enough but, for now at least, let's give him a rest.
BladeBlaster: "I thought I was the only one who noticed how similar Aichi and Gaillard look. Before I memorized his name I used to call him Aichi #2. Also, yeah good question who is Aichi's dad I'm still hoping that it's eventually addressed. I can totally imagine Aichi and Gaillard being related in some way though I more imagine them as very distant relatives rather than brothers. It is sure to be interesting to see them clash in this fic. Finally, Aichi is FAR more dense then wet sand he's so blind to Kourin's love it's insane."
Heh, Aichi #2… that's definitely a thing I would end up doing.
That, my friend, is something that will have to wait. I mean, Aichi father is a cool guy, a horrible father, but someone who was trying to do what was right in the long run (Just saying that).
I know, right? It's excruciating how he can't see the obvious, being that he only acquire love for her when she was literally trying to reverse him. It fills me with so much anger!

Shin Nitta was, in many ways, an especial human. At least, that was what Ryuzu always told him.
The manager was looking at his deck, with his hair bangs shadowing his eyes. Changing his glasses to those of that time and passing his hand through his hair, he looked at himself on the mirror.
His face was the same as that time. The same determined look and the same rebel hair. It was like he went back in time no… it was like he never left. He was angry at Esuka at bringing his past back but… honestly, he was way more annoyed at himself.
The same face of the one who lost his best friend. The same eyes of the one who couldn't help his master. The same Shinemon Nitta.
It was at that moment that he heard it. A commotion outside.
Without time to change his glasses or put back his hair, he went towards the direction of the loud noise, going back to the shop.
He was the manager, after all.
A little time back, a couple of minutes after Aichi went away, Shizuka and the others placed Kourin in a chair, sleeping.
The other two Ultra Rares founded the culprit for Kourin overheating in Shizuka, who had an innocent smile and was silent giggling to herself.
It was at this scenery that the doors of Card capital opened again. Everyone looked towards it, expecting to find Aichi back, however what they saw made Bucchi's blood boil.
"Jaime Alcatraz." The fat man whispered, venom on his voice. The Spanish payed him no mind. Instead, he was looking at the brunette.
'Who is this guy… my Psyqualia is giving me danger signals, like it's trying to make me run…' it was at this moment that Kai Toshiki found himself trembling. 'It can't be… I'm scared of this guy? Who the hell is he?'
"Let's fight! Kai Toshiki!" The Spanish screamed, his scarlet aura erupting and making anyone close enough tremble in fear.
Kai, who was silently trying to regain his composure, found himself sitting against the Spanish, trying to find a way out. He was scared, that much couldn't be denied but… why? He has enough power to win any fight… so why does this guy gave him the creeps?
"What's the matter… cat got your tongue?" Jaime asked, mockingly. Kai, however, couldn't find in himself the power to answer.
"You're facing me!" Bucchi said, approaching the Spanish. Jaime, however, wasn't interested in it. Looking towards the fat man, and with his empty eyes shining in a deep crimson, he sent the man flying away, with a loud thud, using only his reverse power.
"Stop annoying me… trash." The Spanish said, and then looked at Kai. "There is few of you who could satisfy me… so why don't you idiots just go ahead and die…" Jaime suddenly stopped talking, his eyes wide. It was subtle… something that the Spanish couldn't pick up before.
Now however, he could feel it… the intense energy that was approaching from the second floor. Looking towards it, he found the brunette also facing towards it, entranced. It was like the he could see the kind of monster who was coming.
With each step closer, the pressure becomes more apparent. Even those who didn't had Psyqualia could feel it… the anger, the anguish and the sheer strength behind each emotion.
Rising up, Jaime found himself feeling fear for the first time in years. It was a different kind of fear than that of his master, Leon could create. Leon power was something that slowly crept towards his heart, like a nest of vipers… this however was on another level.
The sheer intensity was that of a mighty dragon, and it's eyes were focused on Jaime alone, like he was about to be toasted.
"This is good… I was in the need to actually blew some steam off." The voice spoke, and then, to the surprise of many who knew him, and the happiness of a girl who didn't knew how to smile, the man appeared.
He had green spiky hair, his glasses were hiding eyes more sharp than the mightiest of swords and he was wearing the ropes of the manager.
The cat meow in sheer excitement, like an animal seeing his master for the first time in years, and the silver haired girl had small tears in her eyes.
"I hope you don't mind if I take your opponent for myself, Kai Toshiki." Shinemon Nitta was back, and he wasn't happy.
"No… be my guest." Kai said, not believing his eyes.
Shinemon smiled. He then went towards the table and placed his starter on the table.
"What's the matter kid… I thought you wanted to be satisfied? Come here and face me." Shinemon said, looking confidently at Jaime, who was trying to look as small as possible. He, however, begrudgingly went towards the table, knowing that he must live up to Leon's expectations.
"My name is Jaime Alcatraz… may I know the name of the one I'm facing?" Jaime said, looking as serious as possible. He was facing someone stronger than him, and as such, he tried to be polite as much as possible.
"Shinemon Nitta…" If they had any doubts about who he was, then it vanished. Kamui and Naoki were looking impressed at the manager. Kai however, had his mind somewhere else.
'So, in the end, that kid was speaking the truth… this man… he really is a world-class player…'
"It's strange right." He heard the silver haired high-school student ask behind him. "How he can change when playing… I believe that the last time he actually went all out was in the world championship, a decade ago."
"Wait, that manager went to the worlds?" Kamui asked aloud, looking with disbelief towards the manager.
"Yes… he was actually the champion at that time… the first and only who used Singularity points." Misaki said, making everyone who knew Shin widen they're eyes.
'So he wasn't lying.' Kai though, remembering Takuto's words about Singularity points, and how a sole user used them to take the world by storm. 'This may be a good chance to actually see it… the strength of a global-level player.'
"Stand up, Vanguard!" Shin and Jaime both said, each looking towards they're opponent with different emotions on they're eyes.
It was at that moment that the dark, cold space enveloped the arena, making Emi and the others who were yet to see such thing in a card fight actually startled.
"Tri-holl dracokid." Jaime said, with his starter appearing behind him, making everyone's eyes widen.
'Interesting…' Shin though, eyeing the opponent vanguard. It was as real as it could get. 'This reminds me of him… well, no point in wasting time.' "Pan of new style!" Then, a small human appeared. He was blonde and wore white vests. Not only that, but he was as beautiful as the deities of old.
"What is that clan?" Naoki asked aloud, making everyone listening. It was a fact that none of the youngsters knew the answer, none except one silver haired girl.
"That is Genesis… it is a clan that was the first and last clan to receive the Singularity Points support. In a way, you could call it the 'beginning and the end of an era'. It is also the most skill based deck currently, and that may be why they didn't receive more support."
"You sure knows a lot, miss." Emi said, with wonder in her eyes, making the silver haired girl chuckle a bit.
"I'll take the first turn." Jaime said, eyeing his opponent warily.
"This guy…" Giovanni whispered towards Bucchi, who merely nodded.
"Yeah… when fighting against me, he was laughing and taking me as a joke… but now, it's like his a different person… almost like he knows that, if he don't take this opponent seriously, he will lose."
"I ride, Tear knight, Theo!" The Spanish said, moving Tri-holl back and ending his turn.
"Then, I guess it's my move." Shin drew a card from his deck, and smiled at who it was. "I ride, Dickey of the just path, next Pan moves with it's skill! Then, Dickey's skill activates. I look at the top five cards from my deck and take one grade three 'Uranus' from it." He said, looking at the cards and placing the 'Gleaming lord, Uranus' that was on it in his hand. "I didn't finish it yet, I call Astraia of full heavens! Skill activates, soul charge one. Skill activates again, I send Astraia to the soul, and my vanguard gains plus 3000 power and I draw a card from my deck."
"Why does he keeps getting cards in soul?" Naoki asked, curious.
"He must be preparing a Megablast or something alike." Kamui wondered, trying to see reason as to why the manager would spend resources on increasing his soul size.
'You'll soon understand…' Misaki though, eyeing her uncle with somewhat of admiration in her gaze. 'Show them your power, Shinemon Nitta!'
"Boosted by Pan, Dickey attacks with 14000!" Shin said, making his opponent gulp. After the Spanish declared a no-guard, the manager declared his drive check. "No trigger." he whispered, placing a grade three dragon on his hand. 'But, with this, everything is settled.' "Pan skill, when my Vanguard attack hits, I can send him to the Soul and draw two cards, next, I send one to the soul." He declared, placing a grade two in his soul.
"His soul already has 4 cards!" Bucchi said, actually amazed by the level of the plays he was seeing.
"Not just that… but his hand size also increased by a whole margin." Kai said, eyeing the 8-cards hand that Shinemon had with him.

"My move then. I stand and draw!" Jaime said, his aura ever so presently. "I ride, Tear Knight, Lazarus!" The youngster said, and behind him, the young knight grew, older and more experienced. The youngster then flashed a crazy smile. "Next, I call these guys! Marine general of restless tides, Algos, two Theos and Storm rider, Basil!" The spainish screamed, his power rising as he called four cards to the field.
"What an aggressive style…" Kai said, actually impressed.
"You didn't see nothing yet." Bucchi said, getting up. His face had a frustrated look on it, and he moved towards Kai, looking at the fight. "This guy… his clan is strong."
'Strong… let's see about that.' Shin though, eyeing his opponent with a small smile on his face.
"Basil attacks! Skill activates! It gains plus 2000 power!"
'He didn't boost it… why is that… could it be? Yes… it probably is that it will either stand of exchange places.' Shin though, smiling a bit. "I guard!" Shin said, placing a grade one on the guardian circle, with a 5000 shield.
"Dammit. I thought I had you there." Jaime said, and then both Tri-holl and Basil exchanged places. "You must be surprised… this is Basil especial skill, it allows me to exchange places with other units if this is the first battle of the turn. Now boosted by Theo, my vanguard attacks!"
"I won't guard." Shin said, eyeing his hand and damage. 'I'm glad I didn't lost my touch.'
"Drive check… get, critical trigger!" Was what Jaime said, which made his opponent click his tongue. "I'll give the extra critical to my vanguard and the power to Tri-holl."
"Damage check, first one, then the second. Get, heal trigger. I recover one damage and give plus 5000 to Dickey."
Jaime clicked his tongue, annoyed at his opponent luck.
'Well, no matter. At this level, my opponent is strong, but so do I… the triggers are just consequence of our power.' The Spanish though, smiling.
"My Tri-holl attacks!" He yelled, making everyone surprised by it's effect. "When it's the third battle, he gains an extra three thousand!"
"I guard again." Shin said, blocking the attack with a grade one.
"Boosted by Theo, Algos attacks."
"No guard. Check the damage, no trigger."
"Algos skill, after the attack hits, if it's the fourth attack of this battle, I draw one card from my deck. Now, it's your move."
"Amazing… this Jaime fellow is strong." Kamui said, surprised at the speed of the fight.
"Not only him… the manager was able to maintain the damage at two and kept a huge hand…"
"I stand and draw! I ride Phosphoros of Auspicious light! Now, with it's skill, I look at the top three cards from my deck and, add one grade three card. I add 'Quaking heavenly Dragon, Astraios Dragon! Next, I place one in my soul and the other in the top of my deck." Shin said, smiling at the card.
"Why would he do that, I wonder?" Shizuka asked aloud.
"It's probably a trigger. He wants to check it in his next turn." Kourin said, making everyone turn towards her awaken form. "Where's Aichi?"
"He went to get you medication." Shizuka said, with a small smirk on her lips, one that promised a hell of a teasing. "He was so worried about you… you should have seem it."
Kourin lightly blushed, truing to keep a straight head, she got up, and glanced towards the fight.
"Next, I call to the field, Heavenly Beast, Cyber Tiger. Cyber Tiger skill, when I have 4 or more cards in soul, and three or more cards in hand, I create a singularity point with the following: When I place a unit here, I can return other unit to the deck and give plus 3000 to the vanguard and draw a card."
"So… he can return Triggers?" Naoki asked, which was answered by Kai, with a light nod.
"Next, I call to the field, Diana of Moonlight in the Singularity point. Singularity point skill, I return Cyber Tiger to the deck, give plus 3000 to the vanguard and draw one card." Shin screamed, he then moved Diana back and continued his turn. "I call to the field, Talisman Angel, and with it's skill, I give the front right rearguard the following skill: When your unit is placed here, Counter charge one, and Soul charge one. Next, Prometheus of dancing lights enter the fray. His skill allows me to look at the top three cards, one goes to the soul, the other two goes to the top of the deck in any order. Then, since I placed one card in two singularity points, I'll activate both!" He exclaimed, and once again returned a trigger and drew a card, then he soul charged again.
"You have to be kidding me…" Naoki said, eyeing the manager's soul.
"His soul size doubled." Kai noted, agreeing with the disbelief of his fellow player. "And not only that, but his hand has 9 cards."
"I guess that it's not enough yet…" The manager said, surprising everyone.
'He can still do more?' Was the though of every person seeing the fight.
"I call two Atlas of Heavenly sphere, and another Phosphoros. With the other Phosphoros skill, I look once again at the three cards on top of my deck and add one grade three. I add another Astraios and one in the soul, the last go to the top of the deck." Shin exclaimed, having a satisfied smile. "Now… I'm ready. Boosted by Diana, Prometheus attacks with 16000 power."
"I won't guard." Jaime said, eyeing his small hand. "Check the damage, get! Draw trigger. All the power to the vanguard."
"At this moment, Diana's skill activates. If the attack she boosted hit's, if I have four or more cards in soul, I place her in the soul and I create another Singularity Point. Next, boosted by Atlas, my vanguard attacks! At this moment, his skill activates, and he gains plus 3000 power when boosted!"
"So not only the extra 6000 power allows it to hit over triggers but he also gains plus 3000 power." Suiko spoke aloud, eyeing Shinemon with admiration. 'Now I can understand why Takuto wants this guy by our side.'
"25000 power…" Jaime whispered, looking at his hand and at his damage. 'And a trigger is coming… dammit.' "No guard!"
"Trigger check. Get, critical trigger. Plus 5000 to the Phosphoros on the left and the extra critical goes to the vanguard."
"Check the damage trigger. First check, second check, get! Heal trigger. I recover one damage and give plus 5000 to the vanguard."
"Boosted by Atlas, Phosphoros attacks Algos!" Shin exclaimed, trying to stop his opponent of doing anything with that rearguard in the next turn.
"I guard with Battleship intelligence and Splash assault!" Jaime blocked, conserving one of his most powerful Rearguards. "Now… it's my turn."

"I stand and draw." Jaime said, picking a card from his deck and smiling genuinely, which made Bucchi and the others who knew him confused. "It's been sometime… since I last used you." It was for a mere moment but, for just a sparse second, his scarlet Aura disappeared and his eyes got they're live again. "The hero who goes beyond. In a sea of horrors and an ocean of mysteries, you are the protagonist of this story, your story! With powerful strides, you went forward again and again, never coming back from your search towards the ultimate power! Sail forth! I ride, Sailor of storm, Thavas!"
"That unit…" Bucchi said, eyeing the young hero who reversed and beaten him. "It's different from last time."
"So that's your true form." Shin whispered, smiling. He then eyed the young man with interest. 'Here he comes.'
"Tri-holl retires and I call Tear knight Lazarus in his place. He and Basil then exchange places." Jaime smiled, and his Aura flashed once again, with his eyes becoming even more devoid of life. "Now everything is ready. Prepare yourself Shinemon Nitta! For I'm going to attack 6 times this turn."
Everyone got tensed under his tone, under his anger and confidence. Shin however was calm, almost serene.
"Basil attacks. His skill activates, plus 2000, and then he will exchange places with Lazarus."
"Prometheus intercepts!"
"Basil exchange places with Lazarus, and then, the same attack." Jaime said, smiling in a crazy way.
"No guard. Damage check… no trigger."
"Boosted by Theo, Algos attacks!" Jaime said, eyeing Shinemon warily. The same was smiling in a friendly manner.
"I guard with Kukurihime!"
"So you blocked it… good, let's see how you'll survive this one!" Jaime screamed, his Aura giving everyone a nauseating feeling. Even Kai was feeling it. "Boosted by Theo, Thavas attacks. His skill then activates! Counterblast and if you don't retire two units, you cannot call grade zero cards to the guardian circle for the rest of the turn!"
"I won't retire." Shin said, eyeing his hand and seeing the cards on it.
"Then die! When Thavas attacks as a vanguard, I can counterblast two and re-stand three units! And they gain plus 3000 power!" with that said, those units that were at rest now where ready to attack once more, with extra power and all.
"I guard your attack with Goddess of self sacrifiece, Kushinada! And by discarding one card, your attack is nullified." Shin said, effectively blocking the next attack.
"Not bad… but let's see how lucky you are. Twin drive… first check, get! Draw trigger, power to Basil and I draw one. Second check, get! Draw trigger! Power to Basil again, and I draw."
"His hand is back at five!" Suiko asked, mouth agape at the young boy strength. This fight went beyond the level that she was used to. In the few rounds that she saw it, it was like those two were both dancing around each other, in a furious yet elegant combat, just like the martial arts of old.
"It seems I gave you more value than you were worth of! This is the end, you know! You're going to be reversed soon! Lazarus attacks with 23000!"
"I guard with Phosphoros, Dickey and the other Phosphoros intercepts!" Shin said, blocking the attack again.
"No way!" Jaime screamed in disbelief. He was sure to win in that turn but… his opponent managed to actually survive. Biting his lower lip, he continued the attack, knowing that this next one was sure to hit. "Boosted by Theo, Algos attacks again!"
"I won't guard. Damage check, get! Heal trigger." Shin said, smiling at his luck. "I recover one damage and plus 5000 to the vanguard.
"Algos skill activates at this moment. I draw one." Jaime said, getting his sixth card. 'At least, it's going to be near impossible for me to lose on the next turn.' He though, smiling.
"So, let's start it. The turning point, I mean." Shin drew a card, preparing his following turn. "Oh heavenly dragon who sits above all. Thee who art the bringer of deities, come forth with the quake of stars! I ride! Quaking Heavenly Dragon, Astraios Dragon!"
"What's that card…" Naoki asked Kai, not knowing what that grade three could do.
"Don't ask me… I have no idea." The youth said, fully interested in the fight. His attention was so much that it scared Emi and the others and lightly amazed Misaki.
"At this moment, Astraios Dragon skill activates! Since I have eight or more cards in the Soul, I get a Singularity point!" He said, smiling at his opponent. "Next, I call talisman angel and Phinomeus of the Counstallations! Singularity skill! I return Talisman Angel to the deck and plus 3000 to my vanguard, and plus one card for me. Another one, I counter charge one and soul charge one!" Shin smiled when a Uranus went to his soul. "And another one! Phinomeus gain plus 5000 and another soul charge. Next, Austraios Dragon Singularity point activates! I draw three cards and counter charge one!"
"His hand…" Suiko said, impressed at Shinemon's deck power.
"It's back at 7." Kai whispered.
"What a powerful deck…" Naoki spoke solemnly.
"It's not just the deck."Misaki eyed her uncle with a proud glint. "He needed to prepare for having this vantage… if not, it would be impossible to actually come this far."
"Next, I'll activate Atlas skill. Since I have a Uranus in the Soul, my Austraios Dragon name becomes "Gleaming Lord, Uranus!" and with it, I can activate Atlas ability! I'll counterblast one send him to the soul, and then I create a singularity point. And I'm using this effect twice to create both singularity points in my back row! Next, I'll call these!" Shin spoke, filling his field. "Astraia of Full Heavens in the singularity point! I got it! Draw two and soul charge one! And also, Parthenos of the holy verse! With his skill, I can counterblast one and call one card from the soul if my vanguard has Uranus in it's card name! I'll call my Heavenly Beast, Cyber tiger! Cyber Tiger skill! I got it, another Singularity point in the same rearguard of my Cyber tiger. Singularity point skill activates! I'll draw two and soul charge one! Next, I call another Cyber Tiger, and I'll activate his skill! I got it, Singularity point! And I'll placed it in the same circle I called my Tiger."
'This guy… it's like his an immense wall that can't be climbed at all' Jaime though, seeing Shinemon hand. 'If this goes on, even if I managed to do some damage next turn, he would be able to recover all the cards he lost.'
"Now everything is set." Shin smiled, and eyed Jaime with his eyes full of conviction.
'Is this really the manager…' Naoki though, seeing how much he changed.
'There is no doubt about it… I can't feel even a single trace of Psyqualia in him…' The brunette mind was racing towards an answer, but even so, Kai couldn't cope with what he was seeing in front of him. 'How come someone gets so strong with talent and willpower alone? No… if he had talent or something that linked him with Cray, he would have Psyqualia. I don't know how I know this, but of one thing I'm certain… this man got this strength from sheer hard work.'
"Boosted by Cyber Tiger, Parthenos attacks!"
"I guard with Battleship intelligence!"
"Boosted by Astraia, my vanguard attacks!"Shin declared, eyeing his opponent with a smirk. The same opponent declared a no guard. "First check, get! Heal trigger, recover one damage and plus 5000 to Phinomeus. Second check, no trigger!"
'Now he's back at three…' Jaime cursed under his breath. "Damage check. Get, heal trigger. Power to my vanguard and I recover one damage."
"Bosted Cyber Tiger, my Phinomeus attacks with 24000."

'Now… let's see how you'll face this.' Shin though, eyeing his opponent with a small smile on his lips. "My Phinomeus skill activates! By counter blasting one and sending him to the soul, I can call one unit from my soul as stand." This made Jaime dread the following. "I call Parthenos of the holy verse! Singularity point skill activates! First, I'll sent my Cyber tiger back to the deck to draw one more and give plus 3000 to the vanguard. Then, I'll give Parthenos plus 5000 and a soul charge. Followed by counter charge and Soul charge and finally, I draw three and counter charge plus one! Not just that, but my Parthenos skill activates! Counterblast and I call from the soul Diana of Moonlight! Singularity point skill activates! I send back Cyber tiger, and plus 3000 to the vanguard and plus 1 card for me."
"You gotta be kidding me…" Bucchi half whispered, impressed at the manager's deck power. No, it wasn't just that… his skill was sickening. By making a lot of plays really uncommon and counter intuitive at the start of the game, he managed to get such advantage.
"Now, boosted by Diana, Parthenos attacks with 21000!"

'I'm curious… how will you face this hand?' Shin mind was working on a way to see it… see how would Jaime counter himself. He was looking forward to it, to how his opponent was going to surprise him. 'This is bad… if I don't control myself, I may actually win next turn… I don't want this to end yet but… I may have no choice in that matter.' The manager though, eyeing his deck size. 'This deck has a very limited span of plays, after all.'
"I stand and draw." Jaime said, his seriousness showing in his eyes. 'This guy… he have almost no card in his deck but… he's still smiling… it annoys me. The fact that he keep that dumb smile… the fact that he knows that I'm his enemy, but is trying to have fun in a fight… it puzzle me. I can very well stall this game… I know that, by the looks of it, he has only a few more plays before running out of cards but… even though I know that this is the right thing, even though that I know that I have to serve master Lion… why does the mere though of winning by stalling annoys me so much?'
"It's simple." Shin said, seeing right behind his opponent thoughts. "You're having fun, aren't you?" The silence on the room was maddening. The only sound that could be heard after those words were Jaime ragged breath.
"Shut up!" He screamed, his mind entering in small collapse. "You know nothing! Fun? This is something I don't need to experience! It's nothing but simple! I'm a pawn to master Leon! I'm nothing but it!" The Spanish screamed his true thoughts… no, he only said what was on his mind, however, those thoughts were fake.
Everyone, even those who hated the Spanish boy, were now worried. He looked sick, nothing from his former strength was apparent. He looked like he was fighting a lost battle, like he was trying to accept Shin words, but something inside him was stopping him.
At that moment, when he was debating with himself about what was real and what was fake, a shout erupted in the shop.
"Snap out of it!" Bucchi screamed, his self esteem not letting him stay silent. "Where is that monster who had beaten me in the Alley? Where is that strength you showed? If you want to keep this farce, if you want to resume yourself at being only a pawn, then first face me and let me have my pride and deck back!"
At that moment, the two sides inside Jaime's head were silenced. His true self and his reverse self shut themselves and allowed the boy to think. This was only possible thanks to his already collapsing mind and the words that Bucchi screamed.
'So… this is it? Peace, I mean? It's not all bad… it's like a thousand year war has finally ended and I'm finally free from it… yeah, that is correct.' The boy, at that same exact moment, awoken something he didn't think he had. With the power of reverse shut, he was finally able to control himself, to free himself out of those chains that bound him, slaving his will, and as such, he obtained the same power his master had.
In an isolated island, in the pacific ocean, Leon Soryu had a mad smile on his face. He was watching everything his most trusted servant and friend was seeing, and to say that half of it didn't annoyed him would be a lie, however, it was at the moment that the fat man screamed that something had awoken inside Jaime. Something that was dormant… a power that grew from the bond that he and Leon shared, and that now fully woken. What appeared for all to see in card capital was a fully matured Psyqualia user.
Psyqualia and reverse are two of the same kind of power, but at the same time, two very different things. One is born from the will of a planet and it's inhabitants, therefore it's a power meant to be used for the sake of the many.
The other, however, was born from the power of a singular being, who very essence is an eternal void. To have the reverse means to give up on one's very essence. To use Psyqualia is to have the power of bonds fill oneself, allowing him to experience joy.
One take everything the owner have, and the other strengthen the attributes of the user to it's very limit.
Thereafter, one is the opposite of other. This does explain the inner war Jaime had and also how that same war matured the potential power that he received from Leon Soryu. By constantly fighting for it's survivor, Jaime essence and bonds were growing beyond measure and, by hearing Bucchi's words, the Spanish boy power, that where caged, finally was freed from it's leash.
In a way, this was only possible because he went past his mental and physical limits, allowing his inner Psyqualia to mature.
Thus, like a broken dike, a torrent of power like few others could be sensed all over the world, which made the young users of Psyqualia flinch under such power, some even couldn't breath. All the while, full-matured users of this power were feeling euphoria like none other, and many of those them were planning on heading to Tokyo, trying to get the source of such power to come for they're side's, or even get a fight against such worthy opponent.
Such happiness was specifically true in the case of Leon Soryu, who had all this power under his wing. He was also a fully-matured Psyqualia user, one that is said to have one of the greatest potentials that Takuto ever saw. The idea to have such power within his control gave himself a few ideas… all of them beginning with the prospect of taking Jun Mutsuki head and becoming the shadow king.
Yes, Aichi and his friends didn't knew yet, but the events that would follow the awake of a new king would be known as the greatest Coup d'eat in the modern era.
Speaking about Aichi, the feeling he had in his chest was unique. For a moment, like a moth, he felt himself being pulled by such power. His instincts, however, were screaming for him to run away.
It was fascinating. The fear and the attraction were making his head spin. All of this happened because he has yet to fully mature his Psyqualia, making himself something like a newborn in this sense.
Yes, he had a powerful Psyqualia, and yes he is a talented one, receiving the title of Messiah even though he is so young and have yet to save someone. He could be considered a newborn because his powers were still at stage one.
Even so, his Psyqualia was screaming for him to go back to card capital and learn everything he could from the matured user… but his own potential as a king was also ordering him to back away.
In a way, what Takuto said about the Psyqualia users only apply to those who have matured they're powers, or those who have the talent to survive and actually become vanguards of Cray. Only those have the charisma of a king, and as so, those with fully-mature Psyqualia never bow down to others with the same power.
After all, why would a king bow to other? This have made both planets enter a cold war. If both worlds of Cray and Earth are connected, then those with the power of Psyqualia control all. It is with such though that these 'Kings and queens' have they're own empires. It is said that the first one who gain one fully-matured user in they're ranks would become the ruler of this world.
The power of a fully-matured can make the lesser bow to them, and as such, if a king could control another, then they could make other kings bow to itslef, making this user no ordinary monarch, but a true god.
It was with such a though inside himself that Aichi decided to flee from the area, his instincts screaming danger all the same. Yes… Aichi didn't knew at that moment, but the direction he was heading towards was, in fact, the place where another king was resting.
Back in card capital, Jaime was smiling wistfully. His closed eyes and a bright smile on his face, along with the evident fear and pain in the face of Kai made everyone all the more confused.
"You seem to be in an awfully good mood." Shin spoke, with a small smile on his face. Since his back was turned, he couldn't see nor feel the distress of Kai.
"I just realized… how my master felt on a daily basis. The mere though that he was feeling such a thing fills me with feelings of betrayal and hurt… but for some strange reason, I can't help but feel a blissful feeling. It's like I'm finally free or something." After speaking such words, the Spanish teenager opened his eyes and with it, his Aura became all the more apparent. It was like the sun descended towards them, making everyone avert they're eyes. "Yes… this strength is really something. I believe that this situation is perfect, after all… this is an excellent chance to test my new powers. I'll ask of you, Shin Nitta… try not to fall against this!"
He drew his card from his deck, and was slightly annoyed at seeing Thavas Reverse as the one card he drew. He knew, however, how to made things more pleasant.
"Heh… this will allow me to finish this off." He said, eyes glowing. The same could be said for the card in his hand. It glowed with a dark blue, almost like the deepness of the ocean. "No one will never control me again! I'll reject this power with all my being!" With such words, any crimson aura that he had at that moment perished, and was replaced by the same deep dark blue. "You were once lost in the waters of live. Not once gained what you wanted… never once manifesting your true will… but fear naught! For this is when you find true freedom! Crossride! Braver of Storms, Thavas!"
'He changed the card?' was Shin though at seeing the faint gleam around it and how there wasn't any card such as that. But then again, there was not even one single data about Aqua Force to be found in the usual ways… Shin just knew that deep down, this was the first time such card would be used.
Much like the other, his vanguard morphed into a beautiful young man, with blue hair and a navy uniform. The difference from the first to this, however, was the sword. While Sailor of Storms used a normal sword used by the English marine, back in the age of explorations, Braver of the Storms used a Katana that seemed to have a whirlpool of water around it. Not just that, but he also had a crazy smile, while the last one was restrained with a small smirk. It was like all the madness that this version experienced was reflected upon his smirk.
"Crossride skill!" He screamed, with the same mad smile that his Vanguard had. It was like they were both the same… and Shin couldn't help but remember about an old saying from Ryuzu about this. It was said that, when a fighter and it's vanguard are one of the same, a different world ride can occur but… this doesn't seem the case. After seeing all of Ryuzu's work, he knew about Psyqualia, and that strength that the young man was displaying, that glow around him, was a fully-matured one.
"When he crossrides, I can give plus 5000 to four of my units. Not just that, but they also gain the following skill: After this unit attacks, exchange places with a unit in the same column as this unit." Jaime said, his power was affecting even those without Psyqualia, making them gasp for air. "Lazarus and Basil exchange places then, I'll attack with Basil! 15000 power on the way."
"The left Parthenos intercepts!"
"Basil exchange places with Lazarus, and then, Lazarus attacks!"
"The right Parthenos intercepts!"
"Lazarus exchange places with the rested Basil… however, I'm not done with this column!My vanguard skill activates! When my unit exchange places, counterblast one, and I can re-stand two units!"
"No way!" Misaki said, for the first time being worried for her uncle. 'If this goes on, he can attack only with that column six more times…' Her though processes, for more absurd that was, was indeed correct. With three counterblasts, Jaime could attack a total of 11 times this turn.
"My Basil attacks!"
"I guard with Talisman angel!"
"Basil exchange places with Lazarus, and now, the same attack!"
"I won't guard." Shin declared, checking his damage. "No trigger."
"Algos attacks!"
"I guard with Talisman angel!"
"Theo and Algos exchange places, and then, Theo attacks!"
"I guard with Diana of Moonlight!" Shin blocked, still feeling secured with all of those attacks. Truth must be told, for more that his opponent could attack, he still could block it with only 5000 shield.
"You're thinking that this is all, correct?" Jaime asked, eyeing his opponent. He had a small, but cruel smile on his face. "Allow me to show you… the difference between the old me and what I am now. Braver of Storms, Thavas attack!"
'His not using it's skill… but why?' Shin mentally noted, and then he saw an important detail. His opponent was attacking with only the vanguard, without the boost. 'So that's how it is.' "I guard with Laurier and Phosphoros!" He screamed, using 15000 shield.
'You're more intelligent than I first though. Well, no matter. Soon enough, it's going to be over soon.' "Twin drive… first check. Get! Heal trigger. I recover one damage, and plus 5000 to the vanguard. Second check, get, Critical trigger, all effects to the vanguard."
Shin smiled at seeing he was right. Apparently, things where going to be more fun now.
"Braver of Storms, Thavas skill! Since it's the fourth or more battle of this turn, I'll drop one card, and then I'll counter blast one, and he re-stands!" The young man said, flashing a crazy smile and making everyone wide eyed. "He attacks again!"
"I'm guarding it with Kushinada!" Shin said, dropping a card and negating the attack. Jaime, however, wasn't over with it.
"Twin drive. First check! Get, critical trigger… all effects to the vanguard, second check, get critical trigger, all effects to the vanguard." His aura flashed like a pillar of light, cracking the very ground he stood, making everyone watching the fight actually scared. "Counterblast, and I drop one, and he re-stands for the final time!"
"Shin…" Misaki softly whispered, afraid for her uncle.
He was, however smiling. It was like he was having the time of his live. She recognized that smile… he flashed the same one in the final fight of the worlds.
"Boosted by Theo, my Vanguard attacks with 41000 power and 4 damage! Try to defend this one, Shinemon Nitta!"
"As you wish." He said, taking seven of his cards and placing then in the table. "I guard with one cyber tigers, one Kukurihime, one talisman angel, one Astraia, one Phosphoros, one Prometeus and a Phinomeus, making a total of 45000 shield, more than enough to stop your attack."
"He guarded it!" Everyone gasped in surprise at what was happening in front of them. Someone guarding against all that was insane, and what is even more amazing is the fact that he still has two cards in hand.
Meanwhile, Jaime looked at Shin, his respect for the man only growing. He never knew someone strong enough to reach this kind of level alone, and it amazes him to no end. However… he still had to survive next turn. And he knew exactly what he would need for such.
"Drive check… first check, second check… no trigger." He said, revealing two sentinels that were ready to be used next turn with his seven-card hand.
'It seems that the situation have completely changed. He flipped the tables. But still…' Although the grim thoughts, Shinemon Nitta couldn't help but smile at the situation he was in. 'This ought to be the most fun I had in the last ten or so years. However… it's time to fight back.'
At that Kai, who was the most affected at Jaime's power, was eyeing the others. All of them were also with labored breaths and sick faces but… Shin, who was the one facing the monster in front of him, had a calm yet wistful smile on his face. Like he was remembering of his past, and he was having fun while doing it. It was almost like he was comparing the strength Jaime had with others he faced.
"I don't have many cards in my deck, therefore cannot build much more of my hand. Not only that, but I also seem to have almost no offensive power…" He noted, and then, he begun to laugh, like it was a joke. Like he couldn't be reversed after losing. It was… amazing and scary at the same time. "This ought to be the closest someone put me on the edge in ten years… I mean, of curse I haven't been playing this game for a decade, but still, I must congratulate you, Jaime Alcatraz! And also thank you… I haven't had this much fun in ages… yes, you said it was Jaime Alcatraz right, your name that is?"
"Yeah, what about it?" He said, with an amazed smirk, but if one were to hear it slowly, they would see a small trace of fear in his tone.
"I see… I must beg your forgiveness. I have grow old and weak while not playing for a decade…" Okay, that was a thought that put nearly every fighter there on the edge. If he is already this strong now, how strong would he be in his prime? "I'm really sorry to end this while I'm this weak… but, I gotta do what I gotta do… and this includes taking you down. I can't be reversed after all."
"You… you know about the reverse?" Jaime nearly screamed, looking at him. For all that matter, Shin should be a normal human, with no affiliation towards Cray, but here he is, surprising the young king once more.
"I've came to know of many things… all of them came with a price I would no doubt regret to pay after the end… however…" His eyes changed, and the wistful tone of voice was soon replaced by a sharper one, almost like a blade, he looked at Jaime with a small smile on his face. "I cannot regret the past now. Allow me to show you what those who are weak and have to sacrifice important things to strive for greatness can do! I'll show you what it means to hold the title of world champion, new king!"
Jaime clicked his tongue in mid annoyance. Looking at Shin, he could see in his eyes that he was speaking the truth, which annoyed him to no end.
"Come then! I'll destroy you within the next turn!"
"There will be no next turn." His tone was darker, scary even. It was like he changed and showed the face of the world champion for the first time. "I stand and draw. Appearing now, before us all, is the very form of a Deity. Those who fought through space and time, they who never once faltered, always fighting, you battered and beaten body can finally be placed at ease… for a greater Deity will show thee the true form of a god! I ride! Gleaming lord, Uranus!"
"That's it…" Misaki said, seeing Shin strategy and understanding what he was trying to achieve here. "It's over… every time he applies this strategy, he always win." That comment didn't go unnoticed by the others. Everyone was eyeing the fight in interest, trying to see what was about to happen.
"Gleaming Lord, Uranus skill. When he is placed and I have 10 or more cards in soul, I got it! Singularity point in the last circle! Not just that, but I also activate Astraios skill when ridden. When I rode this guy, I can counterblast one and activate one rearguard circle skills!"
"But… this means…" Jaime said, worried at the prospect of activating all those skills.
"I'll activate the Singularity point I just formed." Shin said, smiling. Everyone, however, where surprised at what was his plan. It was simply more easy to activate the other circle, right? The manager, however, was only beginning. "With this, I can give plus 10000 and an extra critical to a unit of my choosing. And I'll be choosing my vanguard. Not just that, but I also call this guy! Gleaming Lord, Uranus! I got it, singularity point activates in the same circle he is! Gaining plus 20000 and two extra damage."
Shin was in a roll, and no one dared stop him. They saw him build field presence and not just that, but what he was about to do would surprise everyone who didn't knew him.
"I now activate Gleaming Lord, Uranus skill as the vanguard. If I have five or more rearguard circles as Singularity points, I can transform one of them in a warp gate! By exchanging all the skills it have, I can call one unit which power is so great and frightening, that no one dared to oppose it's route towards becoming the strongest! I transform my top-right rearguard circle in a Warp Zone. Next, I call the forth and final Uranus!" He said, shocking everyone. "Now, as the show comes to an end, allow me to finish you with this! When a grade three enters a Warp Gate, they acquire knowledge like no other and become sages who surpass the deities… they become a cosmic elemental race known as "Valkyrion"!" As he said those words, the third Uranus in his field erupted in a bright light, expanding his body, morphing it to allow all the power he got to be manifested. What he became after was something truly astounding.
It grew and transformed itself in a giant with nothing but a yellowish skin and a strange helmet. His aura around it was like that of hope. Those who were scared by Jaime strength felt something akin to safeness around the elemental
"My Valkyrion unit can check the drive triggers even in the rearguard. Not just that, but he also gains plus 35000. Now… it's time to end this…" Shin said, preparing his next attack. "My vanguard attacks!"
'There's ought to be a reason why he attacked first with the vanguard… but which one?' At that moment, Jaime understood. His opponent would check a trigger with the following attack. 'No problem… I can block this.' "I guard with two supersonic sailors and a medical rainbow elixir!'
"Check the drive trigger… first check, no trigger, second check! Get critical trigger. All effects to my Valkyrion."
"Heh… I'm sure you knew by now, don't your? I can manipulate the triggers. Yours included." Jaime said, eyeing his opponent. However, Shin was rather relaxed, with not a single trace of fear on his face. "If you stop this futile attempt, I'll also stop this fight, how does this sound?"
"I'll have to decline." Shin said, surprising his opponent with his coldness. "My second Uranus attacks!"
"It won't matter! It's just a futile attempt! I guard with Paschal!" He screamed, eyeing his opponent. He clicked his tongue at seeing Shin with the same eyes as before.
"My Uranus, the one with Valkyion skill, attacks." His tone was cold, and his posture ruthless.
"I guard with Paschal!" See, now it won't matter! Even if I have no cards in hand, next turn is your end…"
"Thanks to Gleaming Lord, Uranus, the Valkyrion unit gains a quintet drive!"
"That's amazing but…" Naoki begun, eyeing the manager with sadness. "He already blocked it."
"First check, no trigger, second check, no trigger, third check, no trigger, fourth check, no trigger, fift check… get, critical trigger! All effects to Uranus" He said, eyeing his five cards, with only a single one with an icon on the top right.
"See, now it's my turn to end things!" Jaime begun, and them begun to make a speech out of it. "You know why you lost? I'll tell you. I can manipulate your triggers and mine! It doesn't matter how strong you are, in the long run, you're just a weakling on my way for greatness…"
"Gleaming Lord, Uranus "Valkyrion" Skill…" Shin said, making the youth shut his mouth for a moment. "Allow me to ask something, Jaime Alcatraz… why didn't I boosted my Vanguard when it attacked?"
At that moment, Jaime was at a loss. He then understood.
"No…"
"Yup… by resting two units, dropping three cards and by taking a minus three drive, Valkyrion stands again… now… allow me to ask you… what are the only six cards I currently have on my deck?"
It was at that moment Jaime knew he screwed up. His opponent have only six cards, and returned exactly six triggers to his deck… this meant… that he was going to check the drive triggers anyways.
He couldn't, after all, transform the impossible in the possible. He could change the cards in his hand, but only if the situation is at a loss. Now thought, he was losing either way he could see it.
"By paying the price, my Valkyrion re-stands… and then, he attacks again."
"No guard…" The youth said, with a frown. 'I'm going to lose… his trigger order is two draws and two criticals.' He though, and then, made peace with himself. 'So that's what it felt like… it's been so long since I last have this freedom over my own thoughts that I forgot how nice it is.'
"Twin drive." As he was preparing his check, he eyed the youth. Valkyrion then prepared his cannons. "First check… get, draw trigger. I draw one and plus 5000 to Valkyrion. Next, get, critical trigger! I give plus five thousand and the extra damage to Valkyrion!"
The drone cannons shot, and then, it was all white for a moment.
Aichi Sendou was running. He was from the start. First, to find the one thing that could help Kourin, and next was simply to avoid that insanity. What he didn't knew was that, fate has plans for him today.
He went towards a food truck in a park. There, he saw a couple of people. Some which were eating, other were simply playing vanguard. He smiled at the happiness from others. He kept walking, when he ended up hitting something… or rather someone.
He fell. Looking up, he saw a strange expression. One that was shock and utter disbelief and then morphed in anger and a cruel smirk. Aichi have his share of bullies to know who are the people one would like to avoid. And this guy was basically screaming danger all around himself.
Now that he looked at him better, he saw the semblance between both. Blue hair, smooth skin… the only difference was his scarlet eyes, in contrast with Aichi's navy blue ones.
"That's… really unexpected. Say… do you play vanguard?" The other fighter said, eyeing Aichi with barely contained malicious intent.
Aichi didn't knew what to make of this. He felt fear from this man and all the while, he was fascinated. It was like a bug flying towards a spiders web. He was tempted to answer, but decided to leave.
The next comment did, however make him stood froze in place.
"I see… so that bitch of a woman really raised a coward." The strange man said, condescendingly. Aichi held a lot of love towards his mother, and hearing someone so easily offending her made his blood boil.
When there was no light in his life, his mother took care of him. She was, at least before he got Blaster Blade, his light. A light someone just offended.
Turning back towards his lookalike, his eyes shone with Psyqualia in a way that sure promised pain to any in front of him.
The world around himself was feeling it. The air grew cold and the wind blew around the blue-haired kid. To say he was mad was an understatement. He was pissed.
"Take it back." His tone was cold, but venomous and there was a lot of power behind those words. The man in front of him however simply smiled.
"Make me." He said, taking his deck out and placing in front of both blue-haired teens. "If you can win against me, I promise to give you my live to do whatever you deem fit with it…"
"And if I lose?" Aichi questioned, eyeing the other teen closely.
"Nothing really. I mean, I don't want anything a wimp like you could offer." His smug smile was annoying, however, there was truth on his words. The man known as Olivier Gaillard favored death over a reality where he lost to the ones he hate. Just like he want nothing from someone like Aichi.
Yes… much like Jaime Alcatraz, Olivier Gaillard possess within himself, the strength and pride of a king.
Thus, the battle between the King of Blue Flames and the Messiah of Bonds has begun.
