Shiho went home in the Kudo Mansion. She don't see him around so she assume he's still sleeping. She started to cook and arranged the dining table. She hears a footstep and see Shinichi looking at her.

"Good Morning." She greeted.

Shinichi didn't speak and sit in the chair.

"Sorry about last nig-"

"You have to obey me for today. I wait for you to come home but you forget to text or call me." He said.

Shiho sighed. She sit down across Shinichi.

"What do you want master?" She smiled.

Shinichi smirked. After eating Shinichi changed his clothes. He's outside his car waiting for Shiho. He look at his watch.

"Where are we going?" Shiho asked.

Shinichi looks in front of him and see her wearing a simple pink floral off shoulder dress, she didn't wear make up but she's still stunning. Shinichi didn't speak and staring at her, he's mesmerized by the woman who he hates the most. Shinichi fake cough.

"Stop asking." He said.

"Ok." She replied.

Shiho walks in the passenger seat side to open the door but Shinichi moves faster and he open it for her. Shiho looks at him.

"What?" He asked.

"I can open the door you know?" She said.

"I'm being a gentleman here you know." He said.

Shiho sit down in passenger seat and Shinichi close the door. He ride on his car. Shiho is biting her tongue inside her mouth to stop herself from blushing. Shinichi starts driving. Shiho is very quiet.

"Hey talk to me. I don't want to fall asleep while driving." He said to break the silence.

Shiho looks at him.

"What do you want to talk about?" She asked.

"Anything you like just talk to me."

"Will you ever go back working as detective?" She asked.

Shinichi didn't answer right away, he's still thinking what should he say because he don't know yet the answer to her question. Do he really want to go back as a detective and solve cases like he used to?

"I don't know." He said honestly.

"It's a good start Kudo kun. I'm not forcing or pushing you either but doing what you love and your passion will make you busy and forget how painful losing her."

Shinichi didn't say anything, Shiho noticed it.

"I'm sorry." She said.

"Why are you saying sorry?" He asked.

"Because i shouldn't mention her."

"No it's alright. You have a point. I should be productive but I'm honestly not yet ready." He said.

"I understand." She said.

"I've been a jerk to anyone around me. Aren't you tired of me?" Shinichi asked.

"Tired? What's that?" Shiho joked.

Shinichi giggled and smiled while his eyes are on the road.

"I understand what you've been going through and I can't blamed you. I lost my sister and I know she's not going to return so I've been cold and distance myself to everyone around me. It's normal if people change after losing your loved ones. So I keep telling myself to be patient and stay with you..." Shiho just realized what she said in the last sentences.

"Stay with you uh because you need help and you need a friend to put your sh*t together right?"

"Right." Shinichi smiled.

They stopped and arrived at the odaiba marine park. They slowly walk enjoying the view. Shiho knew this place means a lot to him because he proposed to Ran here. She didn't say any word while walking.

'Why did he take me here?' Her thoughts.

"I missed her." He finally speak.

Shiho looks at him.

"I know." And she look away and observing her surrounding.

"If I could turn back time I probably marry her that night when she said yes." He said while still walking.

"I'm sorry..." she said.

He stopped walking and looks at her. She stopped walking aswell.

"Don't feel pity on me." He said.

She looks at him.

"I'm not. I'm just saying sorry because if I never came into your life and didn't make those drugs maybe your life turns out different and much happier without me. I'm sorry for being a cursed old lady." She said, he can feel her sincerity.

"Don't say that! You're not a cursed!" He said.

Shinichi wants to agree with her because he think she said it right but he's surprised to himself by contradicting what was she said.

"It's alright Kudo kun if you agree." She smiled.

"Hey I know I treated you bad when you just want to help me..." he sighed.

"I'm sorry. Let's forget it and start over again?" He said.

After walking they went back to his car and Shinichi starts driving again.

"Are we going home now?" Shiho asked.

"I'll take you somewhere." He said.

After 10 minutes of drive. They stopped at a fancy restaurant. Shinichi has a reservation on a sky dining table setting where you can see the view of the city lights through the glass windows. It's breathtakingly beautiful. They sit across each other and Shiho can't stop admiring the view. The waiter comes in and Shinichi order their foods, afterwards the waiter left. She looks at Shinichi.

"What's the occasion?" She asked.

He looks at her.

"You don't know?" He blinks.

"No." She said.

Shinichi gets something in his pocket a small box and handed it over to her. She's staring at the box.

"Open it!" Shinichi commands.

Shiho open the small box and she see a handcuff pedant necklace inside. She looks at him and he's flexing the other handcuff pedant necklace to her, he's wearing it. Shiho smiled.

"Happy Birthday Partner." He greeted.

"How did you know?" She asked.

"Doesn't matter." He smiled.

"Do you like my gift?" He asked.

"Yeah thank you." She said smiling.

Shinichi stand up and take the necklace from the box Shiho watched him and he put the necklace around her neck. He went back to his seat and smiled.

"It looks perfect on you." He said.

Shiho blushed a little and before she can say anything The waiter comes in and serve their foods. The table are full of fancy foods.

Time Skipped...

After eating at the fancy restaurant, they went back to the parking lot when a familiar voice calls them and comes near them.

"What are you doing here Kaito?" Asked Shinichi.

"Just finished a client business here and I'm going off to the bar to drink, I'm actually with Heiji..." He said.

Heiji saw the three of them he walks towards and join the trio.

"Here he is..." Kaito said.

Heiji looks at Shiho and Shinichi.

"Hey!" Shinichi smiled.

"Where have you been Shiho?" Heiji asked ignoring Shinichi.

"We-" Shiho was cut off speaking because Shinichi started to speak.

"We celebrated her birthday today." He said.

"Wow I didn't know today is your birthday Shiho!" Kaito sounds surprised.

"Happy birthday!" Kaito greeted.

"Thanks." Said Shiho.

"Happy birthday Shiho." Heiji said.

Shinichi is flexing the partners in crime necklace to them. Kaito and Heiji noticed it.

"Nice necklace!" Kaito compliments.

"Shiho loves it." Shinichi looks at her.

"You love it right?" Shinichi asked.

"Yeah I love it." She smiled.

Heiji see how happy her eyes were.

"Hey let's celebrate it!" Kaito suggested.

"My treat since it's your birthday!" Kaito said happily while looking at her.

"We can't." Shinichi said.

"It's getting late now and she's tired already..." Shinichi added.

Shinichi open the passenger seat for her.

"Let's catch up sometime guys." Shiho said.

She went inside his car. Shinichi looks at Heiji and smirked then he went inside to his car and starts the engine. He drove away and left his friends Kaito and Heiji standing there.

"Yesterday you were spending time with her and now it's Shinichi's turn." Kaito said.

"Shut up." Heiji said.

"Why not confess to her maybe you have a chance Before Shinichi wins the contest." Kaito joked.

"I'm not competing to him I'm worried for her." He said.

"Worried or Jealous you choose?" Kaito winks at him.

"Do some effort tomorrow because I'm smelling a competition here." Kaito added.

Heiji roll his eyes and walk away to ride in his car.

"HEY WHERE ARE YOU GOING?" Kaito yelled.

"GONNA PLAN FOR TOMORROW IDIOT!" Heiji yelled back.

Kaito smiled.
