It was time for the Total Drama Aftermath once again. The letters T, D and I appeared on the screen as the word "Aftermath" appeared underneath those letters before the camera zoomed in on Alexneushoorn and Blaineley sitting on the brown leather couch by the pool at the Playa de Losers mansion. Aston once again sat in the first seat at the bottom row of the peanut gallery with Hana once again sitting next to him and Oliver sat next to her.
"Welcome back to Total Drama Aftermath, people!" Alexneushoorn began with an optimistic smile.
"Tonight's episode of Total Drama Island was a gold mine for those who love physical comedy, because this episode's challenge was an obstacle course with elaborate obstacles for the campers to run through!" Blaineley continued with an equally optimistic smile.
Alexneushoorn nodded in agreement. "Tonight we also saw Miles' villainous side emerge as he attempted to frighten Nathan into being unable to cross a tightrope suspended over a pit with tigers inside, only for it to backfire on him horribly, netting the Killer Bass their second victory this season!" He added.
"I could read Miles as an awful person on the first day when we got to the island. I had decided not to tell anyone though, since I knew they wouldn't believe me until it was too late." Oliver piped up from the peanut gallery.
"Alright, thank you for that commentary, Oliver." Blaineley replied to the British detective before turning her attention back to the camera. "Anyway, since the Screaming Gophers had lost another challenge, they had to return to the campfire ceremony to vote off another camper. It eventually went between the villainous Miles and the smart, yet meek Sasha, and given that Miles has proven himself to be more valuable to the Screaming Gophers so far, they gave Sasha the boot, much to the sorrow of her friend Michelle." She continued.
Alexneushoorn nodded once again. "Sasha will soon be joining us here at Playa de Losers for an interview, but before she arrives here, let's take a look at what Aston, Hana and Oliver have been up to at Playa de Losers today!" He spoke before the tv screen behind him and Blaineley lit up to show what Aston, Hana and Oliver had been up to at Playa de Losers up until now.
-Confessional: Oliver-
"Well, today's my first day at Playa de Losers. At first I was obviously upset that I was eliminated from the game, but now that I've been here for the night, I can say that I m actually relieved to be out of the game. At least I won't have to deal with Chris and Chef's antics anymore, nor do I have to deal with that shithole of a summer camp anymore. A win win situation, if I do say so myself."
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Hana-
"So Oliver joined us at Playa de Losers last night. I have to say, I'm worried that he will belittle me and Aston, as well as anyone else who comes to join us during our stay here with his mind games, but I can assure you that if he does, I will Judo flip him in our defense." Hana told the camera with a reassuring smile.
-End Confessional-
-Confessional: Aston-
"Oliver is a really smart guy, but he's also really condescending. When we were having breakfast together, and Hana and I were talking about things, Oliver treated us with condescension and saw us as boring wankers, in his own words. If he's gonna be like this for the rest of the summer, it might get tough out here at Playa de Losers..." Aston sighed.
-End Confessional-
The scene then cut to Aston, Hana and Oliver at the pool. Aston and Hana were sitting in the hot tub together while Oliver was sitting at the mocktail bar having a mocktail. "What do you think the rest of the campers back at Camp Wawanakwa are up to today?" Aston asked Hana.
Hana shrugged her shoulders in response. "I'm not sure. We'll have to watch tonight's episode of Total Drama Island to find out, I'm afraid. All I know is that Chris-san could potentially be putting them through more torture for his own amusement." She replied to him.
"I'm pretty sure that he is. I could read him as a total psychopath back at Camp Wawanakwa, and I'm pretty sure that the studio who came up with the idea for this show had a couple of screws loose in their head as well when they decided to give the hosting position to him." Oliver chimed in, having overheard the conversation.
"Probably..." Aston sighed. "Well, let's just try and enjoy our day here at Playa de Losers, knowing that we won't have to deal with the horrors of Chris' challenges anymore." He added.
Hana and Oliver nodded in agreement. "Agreed." They replied in unison.
The scene then cut to Aston and Oliver sitting in the sauna together at the wellness center, obviously having a towel tied around their waist. Aston sighed in satisfaction. "Nothing like a relaxing trip to the sauna to forget about having to stay at a crappy run down summer camp..." He muttered.
"Ain't that the truth? Be glad you were eliminated first, because you've probably seen on the tv in the lobby how awful Chris has been to us the past something days." Oliver told him.
"Trust me, Oliver, I am. I absolutely loathe camping, so I sure was glad to be out of there first." Aston assured him as the two Brits continue to lean back in the sauna.
The scene then cut to Aston, Hana and Oliver having lunch together in the kitchen. "So, who do you two think will be joining us here at Playa de Losers tonight?" Oliver then asked Aston and Hana.
"If the Screaming Gophers lose? Probably Sasha. If the Killer Bass lose? Probably Socorro. No hard feelings towards either of them, but that's just my prediction." Aston replied.
"I have to agree with Aston-san. It's probably either one of those two who will be joining us here tonight." Hana nodded in agreement.
"I agree with the two of you as well, but we'll just have to wait and see at the campfire ceremony tonight." Oliver nodded as well.
The scene then cut to Aston, Hana and Oliver watching Total Drama Island in the lobby together, having seen how Sasha was eliminated. "I knew she would be going home if the Screaming Gophers lost." Aston remarked.
Hana and Oliver nodded in agreement. "Yes, and it shows how Miles-san is a force to be reckoned with." Hana replied.
"That he is, Hana. That he is." Oliver chimed in before the tv screen went dark again.
"The three of you sure knew how to fill in the time at Playa de Losers today. Color me impressed." Blaineley told the three former campers sitting in the peanut gallery.
"We know you don't truly mean that, Ms. Blaineley, so no need to tell us." Aston replied to her.
Blaineley rolled her eyes. "Oh, what do you know, shut in child?" She barked back at him.
"Leave Aston alone, Blaineley-san. He doesn't deserve such harsh treatment." Hana said, jumping to Aston's defense immediately.
"Well, this is a great time to start, isn't it?" Oliver asked sarcastically.
"Okay, everyone, calm down." Alexneushoorn said to break up the fighting before clearing his throat. "Anyway, with all of that out of the way, it's time for our interview with tonight's eliminated camper! Put your hands together for Sasha!" He announced as Sasha entered from the right side of the scene before she sat down in the brown leather chair between Alex and Blaineley and the peanut gallery.
"Sasha, welcome to Total Drama Aftermath!" Blaineley told the tech genius.
"Y-Yeah, h-hi..." Sasha replied, still looking sad.
"It must've hurt to be voted out and be separated from your new friend Michelle, isn't it?" Blaineley then asked Sasha.
"I-It certainly does..." Sasha replied, sounding even more sad now.
"Moving on. You were the subject of discussion amongst the fans of Total Drama Island on our Total Drama Hotline while you were at Camp Wawanakwa." Alexneushoorn told Sasha.
"R-Really?" Sasha asked, sounding surprised now.
Alexneushoorn smiled and nodded. "Yeah. There were plenty of people who were rooting for you on the Total Drama Hotline. Let's have a look at some of the best comments left about you on the Total Drama Hotline." He told her as the tv screen behind him and Blaineley lit up to show the Total Drama Hotline messages.
"Like this one right here left by someone named Melody: "I don't care what you all think about Sasha, but I'm rooting for her all the way to the finale! You go, Sasha girl! You can do it!"" Alexneushoorn read the message out loud for Sasha.
Sasha smiled at that. "A-Aw...I-I'm glad there was someone who was rooting for me during my s-s-short stay at Camp W-Wawanakwa..." She spoke.
Alexneushoorn smiled and nodded. "Or what about this one left by someone named Phil: "Out of all the people currently still on the island, Sasha has to be my favorite. She reminds me of myself when I was younger: I was a socially awkward and fragile boy, and that's why I'm hoping that Sasha will make it to the finale. I'm on your side the whole season through, Sasha. I hope you know that.""
Sasha smiled even more at that. "I-I really appreciate the s-s-sentiment..." She spoke again.
"Alright, one more before we move on to our next segment, alright, Alex?" Blaineley asked her co-host in annoyance.
"Of course, Blaineley." Alexneushoorn sighed before showing Sasha the final Total Drama Hotline message on the tv screen. "A person named Ashley left behind this message shortly after your departure from Camp Wawanakwa: "Ohmigosh, noooo! I can't believe they voted out Sasha! I was really hoping she would make it all the way to the finale, but alas! I'll continue to support you regardless, Sasha! Good luck at Playa de Losers!""
Sasha smiled as tears of joy ran down her cheeks. "I-I can't believe t-that people left such nice m-messages for me on the Total Drama H-H-Hotline..." She said in joy.
"Awwww..." Alexneushoorn smiled as Blaineley rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"Anyway, moving on to our next segment. The viewers of Total Drama Island not only left you heartwarming messages on the Total Drama Hotline, they also left you a couple of questions for you to answer. Would you like to answer them?" Blaineley then asked Sasha.
"S-Sure...I-I don't see why not..." Sasha replied as she dried her tears of joy.
"Alright. So, HayamiHinata wants to know: "Hey Sasha, just wondering if you regret anything that happened on the island?"" Blaineley quoted the first question that popped up on the screen.
"I-I can't say I regret anything that happened on the i-island...Even though I wasn't there for v-very long, it was a p-pretty fun experience, aside from the scary ch-challenges and Oliver g-ganging up on me..." Sasha replied.
"Well, I wouldn't have ganged up on you if you hadn't made the illogical statement that I was the problem within the Screaming Gophers." Oliver replied to her from the peanut gallery.
"Shut your dang mouth, Oliver." Alexneushoorn told the British detective with a glare.
"Alright, moving on to the next question. Mystique Monroe wants to know: What is one challenge you would have had fun doing on the show?" Blaineley asked Sasha.
Sasha thought about it. "I-I would've definitely had fun doing a b-building challenge or something that involved c-creativity, like when we had to build a giant wooden version of C-Chris during the first challenge..." She replied.
"Alright, this is our surprisingly final question of the night before we move on to our next segment. Knifez wants to know: Who's three people you are rooting for, and three people you are hoping lose?" Blaineley then asked Sasha.
"W-Well, the three people I'm r-rooting for are Michelle, Johan and Sybil...T-They seem like the people I was the c-closest with on the Screaming G-Gophers...As for the three people I h-hope lose...I really don't like to say this, but...the three p-people I hope lose are...Miles, Dustin and Janson...I d-don't know why, but there's something a-about those three that r-rattles my figurative w-whiskers..." Sasha replied.
"Alright, that's all the questions we had for tonight! We had surprisingly low amount of questions tonight!" Blaineley then spoke.
"Yeah, it certainly is surprising that we didn't receive a lot of questions for tonight's aftershow! Usually we have much more questions! Anyway, it's time to move on to our next segment: The Best of Total Drama Island, where you, the viewers at home can relive the best and worst moments of tonight's episode of Total Drama Island!" Alexneushoorn continued.
"Yes, time for our first clip! A lot of you were angry with our host Chris after he accidentally shot and killed a bird while giving the starting shot for today's challenge! Let's take a look!" Blaineley said as the clip began playing on the tv screen.
"Alright! Ready, set, GO!" Chris exclaimed as he fired a pistol into the air as Sasha and Lester ran off. A dead bird then dropped from the sky in front of Chris' feet, having accidentally been shot by Chris. The raven haired host frowned at this. "That's gonna provoke some angry e-mails..." He awkwardly spoke.
Sasha and most people in the peanut gallery looked upset by this. "P-Poor little bird..." Sasha frowned.
"I know it was an accident, but it was still not very animal friendly of Chris." Hana nodded her agreement.
"Yeah...Poor bird...Deserved much better..." Aston sighed sadly.
"That's the Circle of Life for you." Oliver simply replied as he didn't bat an eye and Aston, Hana and Alexneushoorn rolled their eyes in annoyance.
"Moving on to our next clip: Miles' confessional before the elimination ceremony brought out one of his first villainous schemes of the season, with more to potentially come. Let's have a look!" Alexneushoorn spoke as the next clip began to play.
-Confessional: Miles-
"So my team knows that I screwed up the challenge today, but they also know that I'm a valuable asset in both physical and mental strength, so they wouldn't risk booting me off this early in the game. Instead, they'll vote off someone who's not as physically strong, like Sasha. I already got Dustin to help me out with that plan, and I also managed to convince people such as Janson, Cameron and Victoria to also help me out with the plan. I know Michelle is close with Sasha, so she wouldn't vote for her, but once Sasha's out of the game, I can use Michelle's sorrow to my advantage and allow her to seek comfort with her so I can get her to do my bidding." Miles told the camera with an evil smirk on his face.
-End Confessional-
Sasha gasped at what she saw and heard. "M-Miles is gonna misuse Michelle's s-sorrow to benefit himself...And in order to do that, he had to have me eliminated..." She muttered before she began crying tears of sadness.
"Yes. Must hurt, doesn't it?" Blaineley asked Sasha before Alexneushoorn glared at her. "What? I'm just saying it how it is." She said in her own defense.
Alexneushoorn sighed before he turned his attention to Sasha, holding out his arms to her. "Here, need someone to cry to?" He asked her.
"Y-Yes..." Sasha replied as she got up from her chair and walked into Alexneushoorn's arms, burying her face in his shoulder as she began crying.
"Poor Sasha..." Aston frowned.
Hana nodded in agreement. "Yes...It breaks my heart to see her heartbroken like this..." She replied to him. Oliver didn't say anything as he just continued to watch the scene.
Sasha then stopped crying as she dried her eyes. "There, there. Do you feel better now?" Alexneushoorn asked the tech genius.
"Y-Yeah..." Sasha nodded as she sat back down in her chair.
"Alright, moving on to our final clip before we move on to our next segment. After Sasha's elimination tonight, Sybil decided to get revenge on Miles by borrowing some itch powder from Kennedy of the Killer Bass. Let's take a look." Blaineley spoke as the clip began to play.
-Confessional: Sybil-
"I'm pretty sure Miles is behind this, and if he thinks he's gonna get away with this, he's got another thing coming." Sybil told the camera with a steely eyed look in her eyes and pointed towards the camera.
-End Confessional-
Sybil knocked on the door of the girls' side of the Killer Bass cabin, and Kennedy opened it. "Oh, hey, Sybil. Need something?" Kennedy asked her with a smile.
"Do you have itch powder that I can borrow?" Sybil asked her.
"Sure! But don't use too much of it! I still need to use it for the rest of the summer!" Kennedy beamed as she handed Sybil a bottle of itch powder.
Sometime later, Miles ran out of the boys' side of the Gopher cabin, scratching himself like crazy. "Ah! Ah! Ah! It itches! It itches! Make it stop!" The machiavellian yelled out as he ran towards the communal bathrooms to take a shower.
"Good night, everyone." Sybil said with a smirk as she closed her eyes and turned over in her bed to head off to sleep.
Sasha slightly smiled at that. "T-Thank you, Sybil...I-I really appreciate it..." She spoke in a grateful tone.
Alexneushoorn smiled at that as well. "Feels good that people are standing up for you, right?" He asked the tech genius.
"I-It really does..." Sasha smiled some more.
"Anyway, it's time to move on to our next segment: Epic Mail Time!" Alexneushoorn then announced.
"Yes, this is the segment where our former campers from Camp Wawanakwa here at Playa de Losers will be receiving letters or weird gifts from the viewers back home! Let's see what you viewers back home have sent our former campers tonight!" Blaineley added as Bruce proceeded to enter the scene with a small portion of mail that he placed down on the table in front of Alexneushoorn and Blaineley.
"This is everything the viewers back home sent us today. Enjoy." Bruce said as he left the scene again and Alexneushoorn picked up the first letter.
"Alright, this first letter's for you, Oliver." Alexneushoorn told the British detective.
"Really, huh? What does it say?" Oliver asked, sounding interested.
Alexneushoorn cleared his throat and began to read the letter out loud. "Dear Oliver, I'm writing this letter on behalf of my father, since he couldn't write the letter himself because he recently had an operation on his right eye and is therefore unable to write letters. Anyway, he's a huge fan of anything that has to do with detectives, and he liked you the moment you appeared on Total Drama, and he was disappointed when you were voted off early in the competition, so he asked me to send you this dvd box set of one of his favorite British detectives: Kirkingston Killings. He hopes you'll have fun deducing who the killers are before the main characters do. - Sarah Bennington, Manchester, United Kingdom" He then handed Oliver the dvd box set.
"Blimey! This'll be a fun pastime here at Playa de Losers!" Oliver exclaimed with glee.
"Yeah, I bet." Blaineley chuckled as she picked up another letter from the stack. "This one's for you, Hana." She told the Judoka.
"I wonder what they sent me this time." Hana wondered out loud.
"Let's find out." Blaineley replied as she began reading the letter out loud. "Dear Hana, I'm a young boy with an ever growing interest in martial arts, and I'm considering taking up Judo myself. What I wanted to ask you as an experienced Judoka is: Do you have any tips for someone who's just starting out in Judo? - Joseph Newman, Salmon Arm, Canada"
"Well, Joseph, if you're watching this right now, I can tell you that the first thing you need to do in order to become as experienced as I am in Judo is have the right build for Judo. In order to get the right build for this you have to have a balanced diet, don't eat too much, and combine your balanced diet with plenty of exercise. Go cycling, jump roping, skating, taking the stairs rather than the elevator, gymnastics, and doing stretches a few times a day. One thing that a lot of Judoka such as myself like to eat is sushi, as it contains valued protein and carbohydrates, so I suggest you also eat plenty of sushi alongside other things that are essential to a balanced, healthy lifestyle. That's what I would advice you at this current time. I would like to give you more advice on how to become an experienced Judoka, but I'm afraid that the Total Drama Aftermath doesn't have the time to allow me to give you said advice." Hana spoke like a wise woman.
"Alright, one more letter, because we're running a bit late on time here." Alexneushoorn spoke as he picked up one more letter from the stack. "This last letter's for you, Aston." He told the OCD.
"What does it say and who is it from?" Aston asked curiously.
Alexneushoorn began reading the letter out loud. "Dear Aston, since you said you were better at trivial game shows than at Total Drama, I sent you a board game called Quiz Race. I hope you'll enjoy playing it with the others keeping you company at Playa de Losers. - Leslie Cavill, Lewistown, Montana, United States" He then proceeded to hand the Quiz Race board game to Aston.
"Oh, thank you! This'll make my stay at Playa de Losers even more pleasant!" Aston exclaimed with glee.
Alexneushoorn smiled and nodded before turning his attention to the camera. "And with that, I think it's time to wrap things up for tonight. We want to thank Sasha for joining us tonight and we want to thank Aston, Hana and Oliver for being in the peanut gallery tonight." He then continued.
"It's always a pleasure to sit here." Aston nodded.
"We do what we can to provide the aftershow with witty commentary." Hana nodded.
"You're welcome, I suppose." Oliver nodded as well.
"S-So...the aftershow is now over...?" Sasha asked.
"Yes indeed, honey. Head on into the mansion, it's a palace compared to what you had to go through at Camp Wawanakwa." Blaineley told her.
"Y-Yeah...I'll...do that..." Sasha nodded as she got up from her chair and went into the mansion.
"Thanks for tuning in to Total Drama Aftermath! I'm Alexneushoorn, that's Blaineley O'Hallaran, and we wish you a good night!" Alexneushoorn finished as him and Blaineley parted with a wave and the fifth episode of Total Drama Aftermath ended.
And that wraps up the fifth episode of Total Drama Aftermath! I've received a surprisingly low amount of questions for this episode of the aftershow. Keep in mind that the aftershow and the Viewer's Vote are mostly dependent on anyone reading this story, so be sure to leave any questions for any eliminated camper leaving Total Drama Island at the end of each episode, and be sure to vote in the Viewer's Vote to give your favorite team or camper a reward or something else that could influence the next episode of Total Drama Island: The First Showdown!
Speaking of the Viewer's Vote, for this Aftermath's Viewer's Vote, you get to decide which team will be enjoying a martial arts movie night at the end of the next episode! Will it be the Screaming Gophers who get to kick back and relax after the next challenge? Or will the Killer Bass be Judo flipping their lid in excitement when they get this kickass reward? You decide! As always, I'm only accepting votes through PM, and the team with the most votes by the time I start writing the next episode will win the reward!
Now for some review questions!
#1: How do you think Sasha did at her Aftermath interview?
#2: What was your favorite Best of Total Drama Island moment? Just to clarify, I am referring to the aftershow segment, and not the original Total Drama Island.
#3: Which former camper would you send a weird gift and what would you send them?
#4: Who do you think will be on the aftershow next?
As always, thanks for reading, and see you next time! :D - Alexneushoorn
