Chapter 11: A Celebration Turn Ignorance
After the rematch between Cody and Scott was over, the entire audience left once the winner was declared. It was one hour later since the fight started. Scott was taken back into his home, and now resting in his bed. The redneck was still unconscious. The farmers had called the ambulances to take Scott to the hospital, only to find out the road was blocked due to an accident. They won't come until much later.
Scott wasn't alone in his room; there was the rest of Duncan's gang, and the green haired mohawk leader himself and Gwen. All of them are waiting for Scott to wake up from his injuries. The farmers have patch him with bandages, primarily his face covering around the shape, his damaged left eye, and broken nose. Sugar was kneeling close to the redneck with concern expression.
"Oh Scott," Sugar whispered. The fat country girl is distraught of what had just happened to her friend. Jo and Max aren't one to show sympathy, but they understood what Sugar was feeling. Mal grunted, crossing his arms in disbelief.
Then Scott's eyes slowly open, and blink a few times. Scott opened his mouth to reveal his missing teeths.
"Sugar," He uttered, eyeing on the first thing he saw.
"Scott!" Sugar cried. Scott looked around to himself in his room and his friends are here with his only eye. The redneck asked what was going on, and Sugar pressed her hand to his chest. "Easy, hon. Do you need anything?" She asked him.
Scott didn't reply back to the overweight country girl and look at Duncan. He was slightly surprised to see his green haired mohawk friend sporting a frown while the others have unreadable expressions in their faces.
The country redneck confusingly questioned, "Duncan, what happened?" Like an instant from seeing Duncan's frown brought memories of his rematch with Cody, much to his embarrassment and fustraction. Looking away in shame, Scott questioned his friends in a humiliated way, "I lost, didn't I?"
"Scott, you have nothing to be ashamed of. You did your best-" Sugar tearfully confronted the redneck with her words, but was stopped by a firm voice.
"Shut it, Sugar!" Mal boomed. Sugar flinched and turned around to face the malevolent teenager. She stopped her mouth at the sight of everyone's furious expressions. "Don't baby him; he disappointed us!" He scolded, drawing a glare at Scott.
"Not only did you lose, but you embarrassed the entire gang!" Max shouted.
"If Lightning was up against Air Nerd, then the whole match would be done for five seconds flat!" Lightning criticizes how the fight went down.
"All that practice and training wasted! Right down to that crapper in your backyard!" Jo yelled. The jockette was pissed off at Scott for the amount of time wasted before the rematch.
"Ugh, I can't even show my face in front of Heather and the rest of the cheerleaders and all the other losers at school because you got swiped by the school's pervert!" Amy growled to cite any reaction from the redneck. Scott had his mouth open in disbelief as his friends were ripping on him. Sugar tried to calm everyone as she believed Scott did his best. Gwen turned her head without saying anything, but deep down inside the goth, she couldn't' help but feel sorry for Scott.
"Look, it wasn't my fault! That Air Nerd got the best of me! He pulled off some tricks to throw me off! That fight wasn't even counted! Greenie should've stepped in when he saw the fight was getting out of control!" Scott desperately pleaded to his friends. Tears are forming from his single eye. None of them wasn't even dropping their expressions. He turned to Duncan who was still glowing over him, "Duncan, I promise I'll get that pervert. I'll train as twice as I can! I will destroy him for good!"
"Shut up," Duncan uttered slowly as he raised a hand in front of him to silence Scott. "You're going to shut up for what I have to say," Duncan walked a few steps at the redneck with dark narrowed eyes as he said this brutal question. "Are you really Scott Fowler? The guy who is one of my closest friends and strongest companion? The guy who we know as The Ultimate Predator: Scotty the Ripper? To be quite frankly, I don't give a fuck, shit head!" He roar as his voice raise up to the point he was beyond mad at what his stupid friend had done. Scott, despite being called a predator and a menace to the entire school, was scared how his friend was yelling at him. Then Duncan grunted, turning his head away from Scott. "It doesn't matter; what's done is done."
The juvenile delinquent walked past his friends and went to the door to leave. "Unless you want to act like my real friend and make up for your mistakes, I don't want to see your face. Everyone, same goes to you," He declared. His right hand glowed bright orange before returning to its normal skin color. The entire gang and Gwen didn't bother to talk to Duncan when they saw his Magma quirk activating a bit, and left the room. Sugar stayed behind with a heartbroken expression.
"Let's go, cow tits!" The overweight country girl heard Jo shouting. Sugar turned to Scott and mounted 'I'm Sorry' before running out of the room.
Scott was left alone in his room, his only eyes laying out the tears he was holding back from his friends lashing out. He choked back a sob, and put his hand to cover his eye. He lost the rematch against someone who was considered a loser, and now he lost the gang's respect. The humiliation was overwhelming him and he started to get angry. He was angry at Duncan. He was angry at his friends. He was angry at the Air Nerd, but mostly he was angry at himself.
Meanwhile, in Phillippe, at a well-known steakhouse, the students of the Hero Class, including Drake, Izuku, and Cody's friends were holding a huge celebration dinner for the chestnut boy for winning his rematch against Scott. At first, Drake wanted to invite just his nephew, his friends, and Izuku to the steakhouse. But Owen suggested inviting the rest of the students who witnessed the rematch. Cody complied with his large friend's suggestion.
As fun as the celebration was, Jasmine expresses her thoughts "I still wish we could've taken Cody to the hospital first, Owen."
"I'm good, Jasmine," Cody said while waving a hand at her. "My uncle patched me up," Drake had healed Cody's injuries before driving to the steak house.
"Listen to the champion, Jasmine!" Tyler hollered, drawing some laughs and cheers from the gang. Cody was sitting on the chair to face everyone he knew like he was in the spotlight.
Drake raises his drink up and announces, "I like to make a toast to my nephew," He said. "You made me so proud of your training. You come a long way, but you made progress. To Cody!"
"To Cody!" Everyone in the table shouted in union and raised their glasses as well. Once they set it down, they process to clap their hands and give compliments to the champion. Cody smiled as he enjoyed receiving the applause. Lindsay, Dawn, Bridgette, and Sierra were giving Cody the most attention.
"That'll teach that psycho redneck twice before messing with you!" Ryan shouted as he pumped his fist. His girlfriend was sitting next to him, giggling.
"Hey Cody, after dinner, do you mind if we do a little interview?" Blaineley asked the chestnut boy. "The school is going to read all about this on Monday!"
"Too late for that story if not for the videos being posted online," Kitty spoke to the reporter and showed her the video of the fight from her phone.
"But my readers wanna know the story behind the school's pervert to a rising top hero!" She argued.
"If you want an interview, talk to me first. I'm the one that trained him," Drake grinned as he pointed to himself.
"I still can't believe we're having dinner with Drake Anderson!" Izzy hopped up and down in excitement. Some of the students on the table shared her expression as they were fans of the legendary MMA champion.
"Are they any other secrets you're not telling us, Cody? Your mother owns a relief organization program and your father is a stockbroker, and now you have a secret uncle who is a huge star in Mixed Martial Arts," Courtney said. The vice president hispanic teenager is surprised to find out about the trainer who was seeing the match as a relative to Cody.
"Guy's gotta keep secrets from himself," Cody shrugged his shoulder as he ate his mashed potatoes.
As the party continued, four strangers entered the table. Cody took a look and recognizes them as Trent, Rodney, Beardo, and Sky.
Harold saw the musician from the Hero Class and announced, "What up, Trent?"
"Sup' Harold? Hey Cody, sorry we missed the fight, but we saw it on Facebook!" Trent acknowledges the chestnut boy for his accomplishment. Rodney, Beardo and Sky went to congratulate Cody.
"Never thought you had in you, little guy!" Rodney beamed a large smile as he shook Cody's hand.
"You started from the bottom, and now you're at the top!" Beardo said while mimicking a few bell sounds from his quirk.
Then Cody turned to Sky as she waved "You were great out there, Cody. Krav Maga is an excellent choice of fighting," This flattered the tech geek as he tried not to make a fool out of himself in front of a pretty girl.
"Thanks, Sky," He chuckle softly.
While Sky, Beardo and Trent are talking to Cody, Rodney went to Ryan, who gave him a high five and said "What up, my mammoth brother?"
Trent, Beardo and Sky each got a chair and sat close to Cody. Beardo started "How did you handle those incredible moves? Must have been scary going up against Scott again."
"Considering how close he was to almost killing you. And in the rematch, It was double than last time," Trent added. The musician wanted to know how Cody got strong in his rematch.
"Thank his uncle for training him," Dawn answered the musician's question. The three friends turn to the only adult man at the table, which makes Sky's eyes widen.
Drake chuckled at Sky's expression, "I can tell you already know me from my work. Drake Anderson."
"I can't believe you're related to Cody," Sky uttered to meet her idol in this place.
"We can't believe that Cody learned such intense training from an MMA champion," Bridgette said. Cody only told a brief version of his harsh training for four weeks under his uncle's methods to everyone.
"It was scary to watch Cody fight Scott," Lindsay whimpered at how Cody fought hard against Scott viciously.
"I agree," Dawn added, touching her salad. "Despite what Scott had done to you, don't you think that was too much, Cody?" She asked of the astonishing, yet dangerous moves her crush demonstrated. Cody saw how scared both girls were and sighed in an apologetic manner.
"I'm sorry if I scared you two, Dawn and Lindsay. Krav Maga is a martial art that is meant for a brutal and aggressive fight. Scott knew what was going to happen when he stepped into the ring, and so did I. But I can't forget the fact he nearly killed me in the first fight. I only did it to return it as a favor," He stated.
"And nobody would blame you for doing that, Cody," Sierra nods her head.
"Me neither." Sky said. "Krav Maga is an intense fighting style. You didn't hold back against Scott. That took guts. I admire that," The petite gymnast beams a smile. Cody flashes a smile right back at her.
But as the celebration continued and Cody wanting to learn more about Sky since they never interacted before, the chestnut boy's face is covered by a sticky substance. Everyone pauses to react to what just happened. Cody wiped the substance off his face, and saw it was the remains of a rotten egg.
Standing up, he said in anger "Who threw that?!"
"I did, freak!"
All heads turn around to see a dark skinned teenager at their age wearing a shirt with both sleeves light tan brown, brown pants, and black shoes. His expression spelled furious as it aimed at the entire students on the table.
"Dave!" Sky gasped.
"Oh no, not him," Noah growled at the sight of him. His friends aren't thrilled to see the stranger here. Izuku heard what Noah had said and saw the reaction of his student's friends.
"Why did you throw that egg at Cody?!" Sam asked.
"Who's that guy?" Izuku leans his head to Zoey, whispering.
"His name is Dave. He goes to our school. He's not very fond of us, mainly those with quirks. He's part of a group of people that sees us as menaces. " Zoey revealed, much to Izuku's shock.
"Well, is it ain't great to see the freaks here in one place?" Dave scowled, drawing glares from the students. "You're here nice and cozy after causing havoc in my town?"
"It's our town as well, Dave," Harold corrected.
"Shut up, ninja wannabe! No one's giving you the right to speak!" Dave shouted before resuming speaking to everyone. "Your kind goes around to enjoy being good citizens while having these powers you can do to cause more destruction! You make those stupid noises like it's a good power!" He pointed at Beardo, who made a buzz sound at how offended the human soundboard was. "You can extend your legs and arms; what, you're not tall enough to wreak a building?" Dave pointed at Jasmine, who looked hurt but glared at him. And your four are the worst!" He criticizes Leshawna, Ryan, Rodney, and Eva. "All of you have the combined strength of destroying more buildings and causing us tax money to rebuild them! You shouldn't be allowed to become heroes!" The aforementioned students took great offense. The whole restaurant paused to witness the scene.
"Dave, that's enough!" Sky walks over to confront Dave to stop his arrogant talk.
"And I can't believe you!" Dave shouted at Sky at the point of scaring her. "Playing my feelings! I thought you were the only one who told me people with quirks aren't bad. Boy, was I a fool to believe you were a good person, but you're nothing more than a manipulative heart-breaking bitch!"
Everyone in the table, and the entire restaurant, gasped at what the dark skinned boy had said to the girl. Sky grew tears in both rage and sadness to hear such words from the guy she used to call her "closest friend."
Cody was furious and stood up to march up to Dave, ignoring his friends' plea. "Hey!" He called out, making Dave turn to face Cody. "That's no reason for you to say that to Sky! And that goes for my classmates and friends!"
"Fuck off, Air Nerd!" Dave insulted the nickname at Cody, drawing some reaction from the Hero Class. "Yeah, I know you! You're Cody Anderson, the guy who blew all those girl's clothes away. How is being the bane of every girl that comes across your face going?" He mocked crudely. "Must be so shameful for your parents to have you since they got you off from being sent to jail. A pervert like you comes from a rich family; how does it feel to be ignored by them?" Cody's friends notice the expression forming at the chestnut boy's face as it was a sensitive subject regarding Cody's relationship with his parents. Drake was fuming through his nostril at the little punk insulting his nephew. Dawn, Lindsay, and Bridgette looked worried at Cody's expression while Sierra was being held back by Owen and Harold. Cody gritted his teeths, raising a fist up to punch Dave that would send him through the wall.
But his fist is grabbed by Izuku who stands in the middle between his student/ friend and the quirkless jerk. "Stand down, Cody!" He ordered the chestnut boy. Cody comply, but still glares at Dave.
The green haired cinnamon roll turned his head to Dave, he said in a peaceful manner "I know you don't like people with quirks, but that doesn't give you the reason to act like you're being. I'm here to change people's opinions about allowing pro-heroes to protect Wawanakwa."
"Shut up!" Dave shouted at Izuku, who flinched at the tone. He pointed his finger menacingly. "And as for you, how dare you come to Wawanakwa to teach those freaks to become heroes?! You don't know the kind of pain us quirkless people have to live with these monsters wrecking everything like they own the entire town?! What makes you think you can be a teacher? Why, because you go to a hero school and have big dreams to become one? We don't want your kind here! All you're doing is asking more trouble than what the people of Wawanankwa had to endure! Heroes like All-Might, Endeavor, and Erasure Hear are nothing but monsters! You should go back to Japan and stay with the other freaks and leave us normal people alone!"
The students of Izuku's class are horrified at what Dave had said to their teacher. Their anger toward the bigoted teen grew. Leshawna, Zoey and even Courtney all grew angry at Dave's disrespect to Izuku and were on the verge of making their way to give that little shit a piece of their mind. Even though Izuku is mad at Dave's words, he couldn't help but feel sympathy for the guy since he used to be quirkless himself. Taking a deep breath, Izuku once again tried to resolve things with Dave when Sky spoke again.
"Dave, for the last time I never love you! I only saw you as a friend! I made that very clear when I saw I have a boyfriend!" Sky argued to plea Dave to stop his hate speech against people with quirks. Dave then uttered a sarcastic chuckle before saying.
"And you broke up with Keith after our fake friendship ended," Dave mocked.
"Dave, please. If you just calm down-"
SLAP!
Everyone gasps again when Dave delivers a slap across Sky's face, very hard. Sky covered her cheek in pain, while having tears from her eyes. It wasn't from the pain of the slap; it was from the pain of being treated by the person she used to see as a close friend.
"I don't wanna hear of your goddamn lies!" Dave scowls at the sobbing Sky. "You're nothing but a hypocrite who wants to be friends with the other freaks! Go ahead, and be with your kind! Maybe you'll get together with someone to play his feelings like the trash you are!" He raises his hand to deliver another slap at Sky that alarmed Cody.
With great superhuman reflexes, Cody grabbed Dave's right wrist just in time. Dave then turned to the person who stopped his slap. He was about to snap at him, but got scared and was on the verge of pissing himself when he saw the chestnut boy giving a terrifying aura that seemed to pierce into the quirkless bigoted jerk's soul.
"You hit her again, and I'm gonna do more than slap you!" Cody spoke in a terrifying voice that shook the entire restaurant's spine to tingle.
"Cody," Dawn uttered as she felt her crush's aura turning violet red. Lindsay hide down under the table while Bridgette and Sierra froze at the voice Cody was speaking in.
Dave tries to desperately punch Cody in the face, only his other hand is effortlessly blocked by the hero-in-training. Cody then shoved him to the ground hard. As the quirkless bigot got up, Cody decided to teach Dave a lesson about insulting his friends and slapping Sky.
Feeling desperate and fearing his own, Dave warned "If you touch me, I'll sue your ass!" That didn't stop Cody from marching over to deliver the brat's punishment.
"Cody, stop!" Sky went over to stand in front of Cody. "It's not worth it!" Izuku placed his hand at his student/ friend's shoulder to ease his anger over Dave. It took Cody a few seconds to calm down, even without Dawn using her quirk to absorb the anger.
"Thanks Sky," Cody said to her. But after Cody was calming down, Dave wasn't done sporting his hate speech.
"See that everyone?" Dave said to the entire customers and pointed at Cody. "He threatened me, and he got away with it! Just like all the people with quirks who get away from all the destruction they cause and the lives they ruined! They need to be punished!"
SLAM!
Everyone heard the loud slam made by two hands against the table. All eyes point to Drake who made the sound. He rose up from his seat and his face narrowed angrily at the punk. The MMA champion walked to where the fight was.
"Uncle-" Cody utters but meets with a hand from Drake. The man then faced Dave, his mouth slam closed to come meet the large man hovering over him.
"I had enough of your bullshit, twig boy," Drake stated, and insulting Dave. Dave took no part in arguing with that man. "Where do you get off insulting my nephew, his friends, and the others who are different from society? You think you had it rough?" He gestured to the people at the large table. "These people have been called harsher names because of what they had done, and they're trying to redeem themselves by someone who gives a damn about them in shaping their minds and bodies. These are good people! And you come here blowing off one of your anti-quirk hate speeches at my nephew's celebration and slapping a woman? If I ever hear you harassing any of them at Wawanakwa, I swear to god I'll tear you a bigger one than Mount Everest itself! Now get out of this restaurant! You're not welcome here! Now go!"
Now fearing for his life at the massive man about to beat him into a pulp, Dave ran away from the restaurant to make his way to his car. The entire restaurant all cheered at the older Anderson. Drake nodded his head at a calm way to show his gratitude.
"Thanks, Drake-san," Izuku said to the older Anderson.
"You really scare the crap out of him, uncle," Cody remarked, drawing a laugh from Drake.
"Just can't deal with twiggy spitting a butch of bullshit on you and your friends. They seem good people, Cody," Drake said, patting his nephew's back. "Now let's back to the party," Drake escorted Cody back to the party table with Izuku and Sky going as well.
The party ended around eleven-thirty. Most of the students have gone home. The steakhouse was being closed for the night. Cody said his byes to his friends as well as Izuku did the same. The party went off the rails a bit due to Dave and his anti-quirk hate speech, but Cody and Drake scared him, which the latter threatened to hurt him more ways he can think of.
"Cody, can we talk for a bit?" The chestnut boy turned his head to see Sky. Cody turns his head back to Drake and Izuku to tell them he's going to speak with Sky. The teacher and trainer nod their heads and watch as Cody talks with Sky from a few distance away.
"I'm sorry for what happened back with Dave ruining your party," Sky expresses her sincerity at the chestnut boy.
"There's no reason for you to apologize. How's your cheek?" The red mark on Sky's face was fading and answered it's fine. "That guy is a freaking wacko," Cody commented, causing Sky to giggle at Cody's description of Dave.
"You're right about that; he's a pain in the ass. Sometimes I just wanna scare him or beat him up with my Black Panther quirk," Sky cheekily grinned.
"I definitely want to see that, and we could both beat his ass," This got the two to laugh.
"Say, Cody," The chestnut boy got the female gymnast's full attention. "If you have the time and are not busy with anything, I would love to have a sparring fight with you," Cody raises an eyebrow in surprise. "I didn't get to see the fight because I was out training at the gym. When we're sparing, I would love to see your skills in Krav Maga against my Muay Thai"
With a relaxed smile, Cody said "I would love to, Sky," He shook Sky's hand. The female athletic sport a blush on her face. Her black eyes saw the chestnut boy's muscular arm and his strong yet gentle hold on her hand cause her to almost swoon.
"I...I'll see you at class on Monday," Sky uttered, drawing Cody to a friendly hug. A surprise Cody returned the gesture. Both separated, and Sky left into her car to drive away. Cody made his way back to where his uncle and Izuku was. Cody saw the amused smile his uncle was giving to him.
"I never knew you were such a ladies man, Cody. Should I teach you some advice for dealing with girls?" Drake jokes.
"It's not like that, Uncle Drake!" Cody exclaimed with embarrassment, drawing Drake to laugh loudly. Izuku could only laugh sheepishly at the scene. He let them have their little moment as Izuku was proud of himself as a teacher/ student of Cody's class and that almost all of the students he have seen defietanly future pro-heroes. With everyone having witnessed the second fight between Cody and Scott, his students can believe they'll achieve to go beyond plus ultra just like his chestnut friend.
"I definitely made the right choice of teaching them," Izuku said to himself though with a beaming smile.
A few miles away from Phillippe, somewhere in the military base, a celebration was being held. Only it consists of a large gang of bikers with drinks and lots of food. The celebration was about all the money, drugs, and weapons they have stolen as seen all around the entire base. While all the men and women were having a good time, one of the bikers made his way toward one of the barracks where his and the other thug's leaders were currently in.
A very tall Italian-Geek man with a massive muscular build along with fierce red eyes, black hair in a short slicked back ponytail, a thin mustache and a goatee bear on his chin. He had a pair of large bull horns on his head, which was a mutation as part of his quirk. He is shirtless while wearing a sleeveless black jacket with the symbol of a skull with chains on the back area, blue jeans, fingerless dark grey gloves, heavy steel-toed black boots and a silver necklace that resembles the skull of a bull.
That biker was Taurus Andric, one of the Five Hellish Officers of the Steel Wrecker gang.
After searching around in the base, Taurus finally went inside to one of the barracks. Taurus then bowed in respect as he was faced with the leader of the biker gang. The leader was currently relaxing in a chair while drinking a bottle of rum. The mysterious muscular figure spoke to the man with the horns on his head.
"I was beginning to wonder if you got what I want, my second in command," He asked. Addressing as the second in command, Taurus took out a file from his sleeveless black jacket.
"It took some time, but one of the guards from the school had gotten it without anyone suspecting," He said. The big boss then laid out a huge loud laugh.
"Remind yourself to give that guy a reward for his good work," He remarked, and Taurus responded he'll take note of that.
"Say boss, why are you interested in a boring ass school, especially those brats with quirks and that green haired runt you mentioned?" Taurus was confused about the whole point of getting the file.
He got his answer when the boss slowly turned around to face him while drinking the last of his rum. Letting out a satisfied sigh, the leader quickly threw the bottle in the air, and with great speed, fired a heavy long iron-like chain that shattered the bottle in pieces. The glass fell down to the floor as Taurus only looked in silence when the leader activated his quirk.
It was then the leader came out of the shadow with a feral smile while the chain came back inside his right palm. This man was none other than Luther Steelheart, or given by his villain's name, Chainz. He is a muscular old man with white hair in a buzzcut, a thick beard and yellow eyes. Dark patches of face paint cover his mouth and nose along with having metallic piercings in his cheeks, ears and nose. He also had metal plates covered in his arms and throat. He wore the same clothes as his second command, except for the fact that he wore a dark red bandana covering his head and a golden necklace of a skull.
Chainz picked up a small piece of glass and crushed it with his left palm, as he furiously stated "That green-haired little piece of shit is one of the reasons along with that bastard All-Might is why my son, Wolfram, is in jail!" Throwing away the now crushed glass-dust to the wall, Chainz declared "I'll avenge my son by killing that green haired runt for humiliating my family's name, and teaching those quirk-powered brats that they're just a butch of fishes in a small pond. When my gang deals with those pests, we'll rule that little town they're in and our name will be remembered and feared in history for all the villains!"
How was that? Scott lost the full respect of his friends, Dave condemned Izuku's students for causing so much destruction, and a new villain was presented. The villain in the story is related to Wolfram, the villain from My Hero Academia: Two Heroes. I saw it once, and I'm seeing it again. Pretty awesome movie! Thanks to AustralianBeast17 for providing the villains. He'll be providing more villains that will appear in the story in the future. He also wanted to include Dave in the story to push Sky into being Cody's harem. I dislike Dave in the Total Drama universe cause he insults almost everyone who isn't normal to his standards and he whines when he doesn't get Sky in the end. My idea was to make him as part of the people who see quirks and heroes as the main problem in society. It fits his personality. The next chapter is the people reacting to the video of the rematch.
