Chapter 11: Master Plan.
Everyone sat around the shelter, trying to think of a plan.
"We could freeze him." Isabela said.
"No. We do that and drop him, he could break apart." Frozone said.
"What about a net?" Jenna suggested.
"He could melt through it." Elastigirl said.
"Well, what can we do? We can't just sit here all day." Calhoun said.
Everyone sighed before Eric suddenly realized something.
"Hold on. Dr. Blackburne, zombies have been shown to recognize things from their human time, right? Like a police officer zombie with a gun?" Eric asked.
"By my observations, yes." Blackburne said.
"Well, think about this. Dash only attacked bad guys, but left innocents alone. It's possible he may have intelligence from when he was alive. That gives me an idea." Eric said before he turned to Isabela and asked, "Isabela, can zombies be affected by gas, like paralysis?"
"According to my studies, yes." Isabela said.
Later...
Dash was wandering around North Peak when he saw two people walking and sitting on a bench.
"Did you hear about the powerful soldier?" asked a girl with her hair in a ponytail.
"Yeah, and from what I've heard, you'd have to be lucky to be minorly injured after a fight with her. I've heard reports of people vanishing after fighting her." said a boy.
"I heard she captured survivors from the emergency shelter recently, and is ready to execute them at Romero Park." said the girl. Dash, remembering where that was, hurried off. The girl undid her ponytail and the boy put on a pair of glasses to reveal they were Violet and Eric in disguise.
Eric took out a walkie-talkie, "This is Team Redfield calling Team Greene." he said.
"Team Greene here, over." said Helen, who was tied to a swing pole.
"Dash is headed in your direction. Be ready. Over." Eric said.
"I sure hope this plan of Eric's works." said Calhoun as she put on one of the masks hostile survivors wear and aimed an empty gun at them.
"HELP! HELP!" shouted Karen, Helen, and Mirage.
At that point, Dash arrived and, seeing Calhoun's mask, roared and leapt into the air, only for her to dodge at the last minute and Dash to get his fist stuck under the snow.
"NOW!" Violet said.
At that moment, Mr. Incredible pushed a button and a metal cage popped up from the ground and entrapped Dash. Calhoun then threw a gas grenade in the cage which released yellow knockout gas, putting Dash out like a light.
Everyone went closer after the girls were untied and Eric and Violet arrived. Dash was scanned and his status read, "UNCONSCIOUS."
Everyone looked at each other before they leapt in the air and hollered in joy, "We did it!"
"All right, now let's make our way to the shelter!" Eric said as Elastigirl picked up the cage, only for them to suddenly be surrounded by soldiers.
"Halt, Incredibles! Raise your hands and surrender the boy immediately to us! We will be forced to shoot if you do not comply!" said one. The Incredibles raised their hands, but Calhoun dropped a smoke bomb and they made a hasty exit as the soldiers shot at them in vain.
"That was close! Where did those soldiers come from?!" Violet asked.
"Who knows?! Let's just get the kid back to Blackburne fast!" Eric said before they stopped at seeing Ranco.
"YOU AGAIN?!" Mirage asked in exasperation.
"I told you once, I told you twice, I told you a thousand times!" Ranco said.
"Look, buddy, we've caught him now. Just let us go back without any trouble!" Eric said.
"Okay, that's it. The reason I've been trying to stop you is because you guys have gone insane! How do I know that in your desperation to help that little zombie, you're not really so traumatized by his condition that you've gone crazy?!" Ranco said.
"If we were insane, we'd be doing what the hostile survivors do! Now, get out of our way!" shoutd Violet before she threw a force field blast at him, only for the Exo Suit to mostly nullify the effect.
"Nice try. If you won't get rid of that little zombie, I'll do it for you!" Ranco said before he ran at them, only for Evelyn to shout, "Activate EXO Mode!" as her suit changed into a format like the Exo Suit. She then punched Ranco, actually forcing him back a bit.
"You keep your hands off my nephew!" Evelyn said.
"All right, then, let's do this!" Ranco said before he swung at her, only for her to duck and come back with an uppercut. Ranco then tried to tackle her, but she grabbed his shoulders and grappled with him in a battle of wills before managing to push him back and hit him in the face with a headbutt, giving him a bloody nose. Ranco was really mad now. He leapt in the air and came down at her with a ground pound, but Evelyn jumped higher with the use of her robot arms and came down on his back, knocking him out.
"You don't mess with Everywoman and get off scot-free." Evelyn said.
"Yeah! Way to go, Aunt Evelyn! You kick rear!" the others cheered.
"Thank you, you're too kind." Evelyn said as she ejected Ranco from the suit and took it while Elastigirl took Ranco.
"I'll hold on to this suit. We might have a use for it." Evelyn said.
"All right, now let's get back to the shelter before something else happens!" Eric said as everyone moved double-time.
"Doctor!" Eric shouted as they rushed into the shelter.
Dr. Blackburne came in and saw Dash, "Ah, brilliant! I'll begin treatment immediately!" she said as she took the cage into a makeshift lab she had in another room.
Elsewhere...
"Sir, they got away and still have our target. Should we give chase?" asked one of the soldiers from earlier.
"No. I know where they are. I'll handle it myself." said their boss.
