"So Raizen Lost Again" Ruri said as she walked to Yuto and me.
I had been dueling Yuto and Ruri in the time being in the hopes of improving my skills. But it had been a beatdown from the beginning.
'I just now noticed the lack of defensive spells in my deck'
Ruri's lyrilusc monsters would just bypass any defense I put up and Yuto would just overwhelm me with sheer force.
"Ahh I still haven't gotten a single win. Let's duel once more"
"Raizen maybe you should take some rest. We've been dueling non-stop since morning" Ruri said.
That had been true; it was now beginning to turn noon. Plus I was getting hungry maybe getting some of Yoko's food would be-
Oh yeah I forgot I had to distance myself from them.
Why did I do this again?
"Raizen I don't know about you but I need a break." Yuto said as he slumped down.
"Oh here Yuto I made some sandwiches before do you want some" she said handing one to him.
Oi where's my sandwich?
Ruri seemed to be watching Yuto as he ate his sandwich.
Eh whatever I was tired of being the third wheel.
"Ah Raizen, I forgot, here" She said, walking over to me with a basket which seemed to contain more sandwiches.
"It's fine I think I'll take a walk or something. You guys can enjoy"
"Oh ok then"
I was definitely hungry but I left the two of them alone and headed to the Miami Shopping district.
Since I was hungry I could find a restaurant here somewhere. Also maybe finding more cards to help make my deck a bit control oriented wouldn't hurt.
Though the food would have to come first.
Looking around I found the best place.
A restaurant run by Michio Mokota.
Stepping inside the place looked pretty high class. The people around seemed to be dressed in gowns and tuxedos. Rich people stuff.
I felt out of place in my blazer and jeans.
Trying to ignore the people around me I went and took a seat.
I picked up the menu card that was up on the table and began to read the menu until I was interrupted.
"Ahem, excuse me but you seem to be seated at our seat" A older woman spoke as she smiled towards me.
I looked towards the table and noticed that it was reserved.
"Oh sorry about that"
"That's fine"
I quickly ejected myself from there and went to hunt for another table.
Reserved.
Also Reserved.
This one too.
All the tables in here seemed to be reserved.
Sighing I dragged myself over to the receptionist.
"Yes? Sir are you having any problems?" The reception asked as I approached her.
"Yes I can't seem to find a table here"
"Sorry about that, our tables get filled quickly so unless you have a reservation it would be difficult to get you a table"
"Ahh that's too-"
A man in a rush bumped past me knocking me down to the ground.
"Sorry about that," he said as he rushed past.
I looked down at my deck that fell out of my pocket and began to pick up my cards.
"Wait are you a duelist?"
"Why yes I am," I said after picking up the cards that fell on the floor.
"Oh that's interesting. Are you interested in a duel? We had called for two duelists but only one managed to show up."
'I guess dueling really is entertainment here.'
"So you want me to duel in the no show's place. What do I get out of that though?"
"We can pay you for your time. Also we can provide you with a table in our VIP room"
"I accept"
My hunger made me bypass my thought process and fast approve the offer. But I didn't care at this point.
"Good to hear"
She picked up a phone.
"I've managed to find a replacement...Yeah I'll send him through" she said as she placed the phone down.
"So where do I have to go now?" I asked.
"Just enter this door and go straight through" she said pointing to a door behind the reception desk.
She opened the partition in the desk and let me go through.
Opening the door I was greeted by a waiter.
"Are you the duelist the receptionist arranged for?" he asked.
"Yeah that's me"
"Hmm..Okay then follow me, I'll lead you to the arena"
Seeing no reason to deny I followed the waiter as we passed through the kitchen. I wondered what food I would order after this duel was over.
"Stop daydreaming we're here"
I snapped back to my senses as I looked forward at the arena.
'An action duel. Wish I just had a normal duel scheduled'
"It's time," I said to myself as I began walking up to the arena steeling my nerves.
Man I hated crowds.
The duelist was already present in the arena. I could see the audience below from where we were.
"So you're the duelist they chose, I'm Yogan"
"Nice to meet you I'm so what am I supposed to be doing here?"
"Well just try to make the duel interesting. I don't want you losing on the second turn now" he said with a smirk.
"I won't on the contrary I'll be winning this duel" I said as I activated my duel disk.
"Then let's begin,"He said, activating his own duel disk.
"Duelist locked in Battle!" I said.
"Kicking the air and dancing alongside their monsters!" he said.
"They storm through this field! Behold! This is the newest and greatest evolution of Dueling" The crowd chimed in.
"ACTION DUEL!" Me and him shouted out as we each drew 5 cards.
"Heads or tails," He asked as a virtual coin appeared between us.
"Tails"
The coin flipped circling through the air until it finally landed down.
"It's Heads so I get to go first"
Yogan said, taking the first turn.
"Also the action field Burning field activates"
The area around us began to burn up with cinders scattering everywhere. Sweat poured down my head which I wiped away.

"From my hand I activate the spell card:Molten Conduction Field. This card allows me to send two laval monsters from my deck to my graveyard. I send Laval Lakeside Lady and Laval Magma Cannoneer to the graveyard."

I jump on top of my monster as we float through the arena. I tilt and manage to pick up an action card.
"I activate the action spell I just picked up:Flame burst. This card allows me to double my White Aura Dolphins attack with the cost that it will be destroyed at the end phase

"And now I activate White Aura Dolphin's effect reducing your Laval Warrior's attack by half"

"Too bad I activate a Trap card:Dustflame blast," Yogan says as his card flips over.
"By banishing all the Laval monsters in my graveyard I can destroy an equal number of cards you control so your white aura dolphin is going for a trip"
Flames shot out from the trap card and destroyed White Aura Dolphin.
"And so your attack is done-"
"That's what you think"
"What?"
"I activate White Aura Dolphin's effect by banishing a fish monster in my graveyard so I can revive it. I banish White Stingray come back White Aura Dolphin"

"Bring it on," I said.
"From my hand I activate the spell:Burial from a different dimension. Using this card's effect I return Laval Magma Cannoneer and Laval Lakeside Lady to my graveyard"
"Then I normal summon Laval Blaster and using its effect I send the top 5 cards from my deck to the graveyard and if any of them are laval monsters Blaster gets a 200 point attack boost from each"

"The five cards I discarded were 2 Laval Phlogis 1 Laval Warrior and 2 Laval Cannon. Increasing blasters attack by a 1000. Also the 2 Laval Phlogis that were discarded give 600 extra attack

He says as he takes the card out from his deck sends it to his graveyard then shuffles his deck.
"When Laval Forest Sprite is sent to the graveyard all Laval monsters I control gain 200 attack for each laval monster in my graveyard until the end of the turn. With 7 cards in the graveyard I gain 1400 attack points"

He then jumped on Salamandra who took him to the skies.
He flies around until he picks up an action spell.
"I activate the action spell burnt out. This destroys all cards you control also spells and traps cannot be activated at this time and monsters you summon will be changed to attack position. These effects will remain until my end phase."
My White Aura Dolphin and all other cards are destroyed.
"By banishing my fishborg archer I revive White Aura Dolphin but it's changed to attack position"
I have no more water monsters in my graveyard. This is bad.
"I use my Laval Blaster to attack your White Aura Dolphin"
