Life killers chapter 15: Malice no more
Steven woke up in a cell. He recognized this cell because Antimatter utilized this cell when he captured his friends. After his vision cleared he saw Corrosive and Antimatter wearing a robot suit in front of his cell.
Antimatter: Wow old sport you had a lot of promise.
Corrosive: Or so I gathered from your training.
Steven: Look I am done putting myself over others.
Corrosive: Boy, you just signed your own death warrant!
Steven: Look the crystal gems always looked after me.
Corrosive: The crystal gems plainly stated they didn't want you once and only took you back due to them figuring out you have healing saliva, boy. You couldn't be a bigger dissapointment to them. Honestly you dying would be a gift to them.
Steven: S-still.
Antimatter: And if I recall they lied to you and left you in that madhouse to rot, old sport.
Steven: I-I.
Corrosive: They will again hold you back and you could've prevented this but you betrayed us. And for that you and everything you love will suffer!
Steven: Listen I won't work for you clods!
Corrosive: WATCH YOUR TOUNGUE BOY OR I'LL RIP IT OUT!
Steven: I'm sorry.
Corrosive walked away but Antimatter stayed.
Antimatter: Forgive my brothers remarks. You know old sport you could've greatly helped homeworld and maybe reestablish Pink Diamond's court but you threw it away.
Steven: But I prevented more needless slaughter the Diamonds crave. Why are you telling me this. I don't know why you still want me on your side!
Antimatter: Old sport, it was you who chose to join us the first time and even though Corrosive see's you as a lost cause at this point allow me to offer what could've been and yet may possibly be.
Antimatter removed him from his cell and walked him towards a room and Steven saw his father with his legs torn open so you could see the bones and his chest was torn open so you could see his heart beating and his father wore something on his head that prevented him from blinking or moving his mouth and he was attached to various tubes with different colored liquids in them.
Steven: W-what did you do to my father!
Antimatter: He did this to himself to not blame me. He chose to rebel and this is his punishment. But we left Connie on the Surface because what's in front of you is all I need.
Steven: How is he even still alive at this point
Antimatter: I injected him with some chemicals that help him take more pain and takes away the need for him to blink.
Steven: How does this relate to me coming back to homeworld.
Antimatter: Kill him and prove you are ready to move on.
Steven: W-why would you even think I'll consider this.
Antimatter: Because you don't trust the crystal gems anymore or even your friends.
Steven knew he was correct in a sense he didn't want to join the crystal gems anymore but he didn't want to join homeworld either.
Antimatter: Well.
Although he betrayed him Steven didn't want to kill his father. Steven materialized his bloody sword and tried attacked antimatter who in response used his crush opposition power to force Steven onto his knees.
Antimatter: You disappoint me old fuck.
Antimatter shot a torrent of purple lightning at Steven and he then fell unconscious and woke up back in his cell. But he knew this could've happened so he sabotaged the cells with an override code that'll open them all.
Steven: Override code-Pink diamond.
All the doors opened and the security droids fired at Steven who dodged the blasts and used his spear to charge and slice a droid in half and he threw his spear at the other droid piercing it's head.
Garnet: Steven?
Steven: Surprised.
Pearl: Well I guess you saved us.
Steven: There's no time I have a plan.
The group huddled in and heard the details of the plan and they all accepted the plan.
*On the bridge*
Droid crewman: Alert-Sir the prisoners have escaped.
Corrosive: WHAT! I'm going to go-
Antimatter: I knew that would happen.
Corrosive: What do you mean.
Antimatter: I saw him program an override code into the cells.
Corrosive: Well I am still going to neutralize them.
Antimatter: No I wish to test the abilities of their teamwork.
*In the engine room*
Steven: Peridot can you open this door?
Peridot: Okay It'll take a few minutes
Bismuth: Why not charge the door.
Peridot: These doors can resist a nuclear blast and you think your fist can break it down?
Bismuth: Very well.
After a few minutes Peridot got the door open and a droid spotted them but before he could say anything pearl sliced it in half.
Droid soldier: Ale-
Peridot used telekinesis to levitate the droid and threw it at two more droids in the room. The last droid activated his self destruct sequence and charged at the gems but Steven used his power to shield them from the blast.
Lapis: So what's the plan.
Steven: This ship has various engines so destroying one won't make the ship go down.
Amethyst: So why come here?
Steven: I plan to send this destroyer into a nearby star.
Pearl: So the sun?
Steven: No because Strawberry's destroyer has gravity bubble so we can't drive into the sun but I wish to program the destination of this destroyer into a star that is closest to Strawberry's ship's right side so that not only will the ship crash into a star but also take out Strawberry's destroyer as well.
Peridot: Why not shoot down Strawberry's ship?
Steven: Because if we do the ship will be put on alert and inquisitors from her ship will come to aid the droid forces on this ship.
Amethyst: Since when did you become a nerd?
Steven: Since I had to plan this. And done I programmed the destination in now lets free my dad.
The group managed to get to the torture facility and was horrified at the sight of Greg.
Pearl: Oh my stars.
Amethyst: This is just wrong!
Steven: Can you unplug the tubes from my father.
Peridot: I'll try.
Peridot used the console next to them and Steven used his healing saliva and tears to heal Greg's legs and chest and he took off the helmet.
Greg: Oh god am I glad to see you.
Steven: Don't mention it. It's the least I could do.
Garnet: Peridot?
Peridot: Got it.
The tubes then unplugged from Greg and he could get out of the chair safely.
Greg: I'm sorry Steven I told them everything I knew.
Steven: At least you didn't know everything.
*On the bridge*
Droid Crewman: Statement-Sir they took the bait. They set the destination to the planet that we disguised as a star.
Antimatter: Good now lockdown the hangars.
*The torture facility*
Steven: So now we need to get to th-
Droid announcer: Statement-The hangars are locked down and any ship departing from the hangars will be destroyed.
Amethyst: Well great we're stuck here!
Steven: Don't worry we can use the escape pods.
Steven began to use the console.
Steven: The nearest escape pods are on the bridge.
Bismuth: What that's suicide!
Peridot: Yeah lets ju-
Steven: But I also want to go to the bridge because Antimatter has my mother's sword.
Pearl: Steven, Antimatter beat all of us combined how will you stand against him.
Steven: I just need you guys to get into an escape pod while I'm challenging Antimatter.
Garnet: Challenging Antimatter?!
Steven: I don't plan to kill him I just need to disarm him, get the sword, and get out.
Amethyst: Look Steven-
Steven: Very well if you want to leave then go but I am going after mother's sword.
Greg: Steven I can't lose you too. Not after losing your mother.
Steven: I know but she'd want me to be a hero.
Pearl: Steven.
Steven: That weapon will help me write the wrongs I did to my mother and you guys.
Garnet: Okay Steven we're with you.
*On the bridge*
Antimatter: Do you understand Strawberry.
Strawberry Quartz: Yes.
Strawberry's transmission cut off.
The door to the bridge open and the guards tried to blast them but they were quickly sliced in half.
Steven: I've come for my mother's sword.
Antimatter materialized Rose's sword into his hand.
Antimatter: I defeated rose in combat so adding this to my collection is long overdue.
Steven: That belongs to my family not to a collector. I challenge you to one on one combat!
Corrosive: No I'll ki-.
Antimatter: I accept your challenge. No one interferes.
Pearl: Steven are you sure you can take him on.
Steven: I've never been more sure. You
He then materialized his bloody sword.
Antimatter: Are you sure?
Steven just held his sword.
Antimatter: So be it!
Antimatter exited his robot suit and charged demonically at Steven violently swinging Rose's sword with Steven struggling to block the strikes. He then jumped back and used his wave power to push Steven into a wall and when Steven recomposed himself he charged at Antimatter swung his sword and Antimatter continuing to block the strikes. Steven sent a flurry of strikes at Antimatter who in response backflipped evading all of them. Antimatter began to rapidly flip around swing Rose's sword and Steven got hit twice in his torso.
Antimatter: *Demonic laughter*
Steven: I am not leaving without my mother's sword.
Antimatter: *Demonic screeching*
Antimatter materialized a scythe in his other arm and began to rapidly swing at Steven who kept defending and for a while it seems as if they were evenly matched. But after a while Antimatter began to rapidly and violently flip around Steven who actually successfully took back his mother's sword but this pissed off Antimatter and he knocked Steven backwards into a droid.
Corrosive: Pathetic you die for nothing!
Steven then realized what he must do.
Steven: Not if I take you with me!
Steven got up and sliced the droid and it turns out the droid managed the engine console and Steven activated it. The ship then began to turn towards the other ship.
*Inquisitorius destroyer 29 Dragon*
Strawberry Quartz knew what was about to happen.
Strawberry Quartz: Take evasive action immediately.
Jasper: What's the matter.
Strawberry Quartz: Watch.
*Inquisitorius destroyer 35 Kraken*
Corrosive: You imbecile you doomed everyone here!
Steven: Actually just you!
Steven sliced the console and ran to the pod. Antimatter and Corrosive tried to stop him but Steven using most of his power threw them backwards and restrained them the bridge observation window
Steven: Lets go!
Steven gave Rose's sword to Pearl
Pearl: Come o-
The door opened and two droids entered and Steven materialized his gauntlets punching the droids into a wall destroying the droids. Steven was then pierced in his arm by a kunai and his arm with his normal hand was sliced off by a thrown scythe. Steven cried in pain but saw Antimatter and Corrosive getting free and using most of his power he held them back again.
Amethyst: Steven get in!
Steven tried to walk forward but the kunai in his arm held him back and he saw droids coming to him.
Steven: I know what I did was wrong but I hope this makes up for it.
The door to the escape pod closed.
Garnet: Steven!
Pearl: WAIT!
Steven: Goodbye!
Antimatter: *Demonic screaming*
Corrosive: NOOOOOO
Using the last of his power he launched the escape pod and as he did that the ship blasted off.
Jasper: ...
Strawberry Quartz: What's wrong?
Jasper: We lost a destroyer.
Strawberry Quartz: Antimatter had a plan. Now it's time to follow up with it
The gems exited the escape pod and saw the other destroyer blast off.
Greg: What happened?
Pearl: He saved us all.
Lapis: It didn't have to be like this.
Garnet: Still it is our duty to protect the world that Steven gave us a chance to do.
The group went to Stevens memorial site where they believed he first died and placed Rose's sword into the ground next to his gravestone.
