The aura of dark characters throughout the years has not long been gone from the world of wrestling. The Undertaker is a perfect example of the early days of mysterious intimidating figures who are barely gazed by normal moves and put others to sleep for good. How about his brother Kane, who literally put his brother down in the first ever Hell in a Cell Match and the creepiness of the vampire stable known as the Brood going through two incarnations with a very disturbing leader. A trio would make their names known in the world of wrestling as Ben Jones, Ryan Lewis, and Sara Lewis would enter the modern age of wrestling bringing along the disturbing magic of their characters. Ben Jones currently lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, but grew up in England born on May 8th, 1995. Ryan and Sara were both born apart living in the United States in Salem, Massachusetts. Ryan was born on November 3rd, 1992 and Sara was born on June 15th, 1998 as all three grew up with the sport of wrestling. Ben loved the hardcore aspect and deathmatches that went on in the ring with the old ECW and brutal strong style matches in the old FMW. Ryan and Sara stuck to the traditional roots watching World Championship Wrestling right up until the company got bought out by Vince McMahon, but they didn't miss out on catching the Attitude Era of the WWE.
Fast forwarding to their teenage years, they all decided to try their hand at training for the ring with Ryan nearly impressing wrestling prospects and coaches. His immense size of 7 feet combined with his attitude made him a force to be reckoned with. Sara was very agile and could perform Hurricaranas, Headscissor Takedowns, Dragonranas, and Japanese Arm Drags perfectly with a little practice. Ben got weapons smacked over him to get him use to the brunt of objects and practiced blading to cut his forehead opened. Ben has his first hardcore match in a lone garage with a battered ring and his mentor as his opponent to which he used trash cans, steel chairs, kendo sticks, broomsticks, tables, and street signs to prove himself in the match.
On July 14, 2012, Ben teamed up with his hero, Masato Tanaka, against Steve Corino and CW Anderson at CZW New Heights. This would be a brutal match for all four participants and Anderson ended it with a Spinebuster through a table filled with thumbtacks on top to Tanaka. Ben got shipped out to Japan to headline some promotional matches for CZW with Big Japan Pro Wrestling, a company known for their deathmatches in Asia. Ben would take up wins in deathmatches with Shinobu, Danny Havoc, DJ Hyde, Takashi Sakaki, and Will Ralston. At A Tangled Web V, Ben defeated Ralston and Shane Strickland in a Three Way Elimination Dance eliminating both men getting higher up in the promotion. Ben's actual first loss came at Cerebral in October where Ralston defeated him in a Rules of Death match knocking him out with a lantern. Ben would be out for a few weeks, but promos showed him thinking inside a darkened room as he promised to suck the life from CZW and he even shows he had fangs. This began a vampire gimmick for Ben as he would show up when the lights were off and beat opponents before leaving them in a broken heap.
At the Brain Damage Memorial Show, Jones debuted this gimmick in a match against Jake Crist and easily trounced him in three minutes. Jones declares himself The Dark Prince in a promo which became the official name of his gimmick before he changed it to the Prince of Death going into the new year.
(Ben Jones) 2012

As for the Lewis siblings, they debuted down in New Jersey at the formerly known Jersey Championship Wrestling (later on known as Game Changer Wrestling) at a show taping where they defeated Kai Katana and Ricky Reyes in their debut match. Ryan would cement himself as a big star in the promotion quickly winning the JCW Tag Team Championship by himself as he defeated Joey Janela and Rhett Titus in November carrying the titles by himself. Sara Lewis established herself as an intergender wrestler defeating Nicky Oceans, Marq Quen, Matt Striker, Steve Scott, and Myke Quest.
(Sara and Ryan Lewis) 2012
-Debuted together at Jersey Championship Wrestling and Ryan became the JCW Tag Team Champions by himself in November
Moving back over to CZW, Ben Jones would continue his massacre having his vampire gimmick and would attack new targets backstage, out in the parking lot, and even down at the docks. At the CZW 14th Anniversary show, Ben Jones defeated Colin Delaney, Alexander James and CW Anderson in a four-way elimination match to see who would get a future CZW World Title shot. AT CZW Wanted, Ben Jones took on Joe Gacy and current world champion MASADA in a losing effort after MASADA pinned Gacy for the win. Ben challenged MASADA to a Graveyard Shift Match in which the only way to win is to bury your opponent at the gravesite. Ben won leading to his first championship reign and he usually left the world title around as his modus operandi for when he could strike. Ryan Lewis and Sara would debut for Combat Zone Wrestling after Ryan decided to relinquish the tag team titles leading a reign of six months and no more worthy tag teams to face. Ryan entered the Best of the Best 12 tournament easily going over Alex Reynolds and Shane Hollister in the first round. Ryan would move on to the semi-finals defeating AR Fox in a valiant effort by Fox, but dropping the win to Ryan. Ryan would win the whole tournament in the finals defeating Alex Colon, but suffered a surprise attack from Ben Jones with light tubes.
Ben would continue to haunt Ryan and Sara seeing the big man as a potential acolyte to his cult and Sara as his queen since he left bloody valentine cards for her in the locker room. At Proving Grounds 2013, Ben locked Ryan in a chokehold with the aid of a Singapore cane which made Ryan pass out from exhaustion causing his first loss since his professional wrestling debut. At CZW New Heights 2013, Ben Jones defeated Ryan for the first time by pinfall hitting a Superplex through a plain sheet of glass injuring Ryan as the giant landed on his right ankle wrong. Sara was then kidnapped acting as a prisoner of Ben's until she agreed to be his valet to his matches and this was around the time the two actually started dating each other. At CZW Déjà Vu in Ohio, Ben finally lost the CZW World Heavyweight Championship to Drew Gulak by rollup which started a new rivalry between both men. This ended Ben's reign with the title at 156 days.
Gulak defeated Ben throughout September and October with three straight victories until the feud ended. Ryan Lewis returned at Night of Infamy attacking Ben backstage for putting him in the hospital leading to a grudge match at Cage of Death XV where Ryan defeated Ben in a Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match. In collaboration with Big Japan Pro Wrestling, Ryan Lewis defeated Fujiki Hiroshima in a grand match between two giants after Ryan socked Fujiki in the jaw with Last Rites (Knockout Punch). At the 15th Anniversary show for CZW, Ryan and Sara teamed with DJ Hyde to take on Ben, Gulak, and Caleb Konley where Sara pinned Gulak for the win. At High Stakes 5, Ryan and Sara defeated Alexander James and Drew Gulak after Ryan hit Last Rites on James for the win while Ben defeated Tommy Dreamer in an Extreme Rules Match. At CZW/PWG Wrestlecon 2014, Ben defeated Colt Cabana in an open challenge after Colt called anyone out from the CZW locker room while Sara lost to Kimber Lee kicking off a rivalry between the two women.
In the Best of the Best 13 tournament, all three future Coven members entered as Ben defeated Lucky 13 and Chuck Taylor in his match. Ryan lost out to Drake Younger and Timothy Thatcher not being in the end result, but Sara defeated Jake Crist and Drew Gulak to advance. Ben and Sara met in the ring for the first time and Sara falls to Ben after a distraction from Kimber Lee prancing around the ring only for Ryan to chase her off. Ben moved on to face Drake Younger in a losing effort. At CZW to Infinity, Sara defeated Kimber Lee with a solid knee strike to the head taking out the blonde princess as Ryan defeated the Beaver Boys in a Handicap Match. At CZW Proving Grounds, a match to determine a new #1 Contender for the CZW World Title was announced as Ben, Ryan, Sara, Drake, Colt, and Hyde were selected for the match with Colt winning pinning Ryan for the win. Ben had his final match with CZW at Prelude to Violence defeating Aaron Williams cutting a promo after saying he needs to return to darkness as he is feeling weak, but he promised a reborn soul to come. Ryan and Sara would shortly follow suit in June ending their run.

The siblings ended 2014 as champions and went into 2015.
Meanwhile, Ben Jones returned to CZW in October of 2014 after a long hiatus and defeated David Starr at Cerebral capturing the CZW Wired TV Championship. Ben would defend his title at Night of Infinity against David Starr, Drake Younger, and Jimmy Havoc to which he retains after hitting Starr with his personal David Starr Sucks! finisher (Brainbuster into the middle rope corner). These two had political spats backstage which caused tension between the both of them and Hyde decided to punish Ben by stripping him of the CZW Wired TV Title ending his reign at 33 days. Ben defeated Mundo the next week and then decided to face Mantanza Cueto for the Lucha Underground Championship next week vacating the Gift of the Gods Title. However, Mundo made the match a no contest inserting himself into the feud causing a Triple Threat Match which Ben won hitting Beauty of Annihilation (Death Valley Driver in the corner) on Cueto for the win getting the world title.
