"Miss Renesmee." I looked into the red eyes of a Vampire. Long, straight black hair, milky red eyes, papery white skin. I knew this was Aro. When I become Queen, he'll be gone.
"What do you want?" I barked.
"Your behavior has been unexcusable, you know that. You're lucky you're King Edward's favorite."
I crossed my arms. "What do you want?"
"All I suggest is that you better be more careful. The world wants a man on the throne, not a disobedient, rebellious, daring woman. If you want to win, you better respect rules and laws, and not be so daring."
I smacked his face, and shouted, "Listen to me! The second that crown is on my head, you will be gone. And let me assure you—I will be Queen, despite what you say. A lot of things will change when I'm Queen. You will not boss your Princess around!" I smacked him again, turned around sharpy, and walked away.
Edward's POV
I know Aro was hiding something from me at our weekly meeting. Aro was only an advisor because he once ruled the Vampire world, and knew a lot. But he was driving me insane! He wants me to dismiss Renesmee, but I won't.
"What are you hiding?" I barked.
"Your majesty—"
When I saw it, I let out a roar. He actually had the nerve to go talk with Renesmee about trying to fit in better? Renesmee was perfect the way she is!
"If I ever find that you had talked with her again, I will personally fire you! Understood?"
"Yes, your majesty," He bowed his head.
"But Aro has a point," Caius said. "Why won't you dismiss her?"
"You keep forgetting, Caius, I am King, not you. I rule this world. This is my selection. Now, despite making her mistakes, I can see how much she cares for this world and the people she cares about. I want her as my heir. I choose, not you."
"She's just a bit…….rebellious. Daring. No respect for our society or rules."
"I don't care. I don't want to hear of this again." I rose from my throne at the head of the table. "Meeting dismissed."
As I headed back to my room, I began to wonder. What was it about her that I couldn't let her go? Aro had a point, and so did Caius, but I just couldn't let her leave. I feel like I need to constantly protect her, keep her safe. Keep her near me, to help keep me sane. She was different, unique, irresistible, charming.
She really is Bella's daughter.
