-The Great Lakes Incident-
-Prologue-

-July 17th, 2024-

In a dark room there is a hush, when suddenly, lights cameras and cheers from an audience erupts to reveal a set, one ideal for a talk show, all the while, someone begins narrating.

["From the humble suburbs of Michigan to the hardened streets of Ney York, you've known her as a jovial journalist, a relentless reporter and now the host of our show; Kat-Talk, please give a round of applause to our very own Katherine Mulligen!"]

With the introduction out of the way, the lights turn to put a desk on the spotlight. Said desk had a large chair with a yellow blazer thrown over it.

Walking from backstage to the chair is a woman of average height, about 5'8", in a white blouse, a yellow miniskirt and black heels. She has professional written for the style of her long brown-hair worn in a ponytail.

She sat at her desk and looked to the audience with a soft but firm expression.

"Hello, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Kat-Talk, as always, I am your host, Katherine and this evening I am joined by the smartest women to ever grace our studio. A real go getter, a very accomplished woman, though she's only 13 she's earned 10 degrees; 2 master's, 4 doctorates and 2 PhD's, with over 50 patents in her name. And that's not to mention she's also one of the greatest minds of our time, please give a warm welcome for Dr. Lisa Loud!" Katherine commanded her audience and on cue, the stage was bombarded with applause, cheer and roars.

-XxX-

'Remember, keep it simple, use the appropriate vernacular wording and don't insult their intelligence. These simpletons need to be properly educated if you are to begin making progress. You've brought your slideshow, talking points, cue-cards and lab results, now as your fourth-eldest sibling would say, knock them dead.' A young woman said in her head.

This woman screamed intellectual. She was about 5'1", and starting from the top, you'd notice she has a lot of hair. Her hair is a dark chestnut-brown, it reaches her mid-back, is unkempt as if she cares more for her work and studies than maintaining her personal grooming to standard appealing aesthetics.

She has large, circular rimmed glasses, they're pretty thick too, they also emit a gleam that died down to reveal emerald-green eyes but the bags under her eyes tell you the amount of stress she's accumulated over the years along with sleepless nights, a shame seeing it on a young lady.

Over her body is a pristine white lab coat, on one shoulder there is an eight-sided emblem colored with red and white, made to look like a colorful parasol or an umbrella.

Under the lab coat is a thick green sweater and brown pants and dark simple shoes. On her waist was something like a fanny pack but the pouch was in the front and was more like a metal brick.

She was whispering under her breath when she heard Katherine speak.

"… please give a warm welcome for Dr. Lisa Loud!"

"Well, I suppose, that's your proverbial cue" She said to herself as she walked out onto the stage that had a live audience, a decent sized one with about 40 people.

Lisa walked up to the desk as Katherine stood up with her hand out. The two shook hands before Katherine offered a seat with a pair of chairs by her desk to which Lisa took the closest one.

Lisa adjusted the little microphone that was attached to the collar of her lab coat as it flicked on.

"Thank you for joining us tonight, Dr. Loud." Katherine formally greeted Lisa.

The young scientist responds, "Please, if you would, refer to me as Lisa and on behalf of the American branch of the Umbrella Corporation's science division, I thank you for having me and allowing me to do my part in clearing some misconceptions within recent history as per our arrangement." Lisa finished as she spotted Katherine give a worried expression with a wide smile.

"Uh, yes… but before we begin, for everyone back home who may not know you, please tell us, what is your affiliation with Umbrella and what do you do for them?" Katherine requested.

"A simple matter." Lisa nods as she took a moment to compose her thoughts, "Officially, I was hired on as a geneticist, normally, I work on, document and study genetics, specifically changes in genetics and their role in health and disease as well as mutations within genes."

As she finished, Lisa noticed looks and gasps, she knows it was a trigger from her mention of mutation.

Katherine, quickly spotting the hushed tones and quiet murmurs, spoke again. "Uh, what else do you do Lisa?"

"Oh, well, I'm also a consultant in the field of biology, chemistry and engineering, there is never a dull day when I can simply change my interests for a time, with my credentials, I'm needed in almost every field of study, if I may be so boastful as to claim myself a valuable asset to Umbrella."

Katherine nodded and digs a little more, "And what can you tell us about Umbrella?"

"As you know, Umbrella is an international pharmaceutical conglomerate, of European origin. There is a large area of production and manufacturing that Umbrella as a whole works in. We produce cosmetics, all kinds of consumer products and even food; from organic and agriculture to fabrication of food items filled with necessary vitamins and nutritional intake.

Though I would like to go on, I believe I am here to elaborate on the events that acted as a precursor to the state of the world now. I am of course referring to the creation of the sub-species, Homo-Superior, also known as mutants."

As Lisa finished her intensions the audience looked uneasy with the topic but she went on.

"As you all know, six years ago, humanity as a whole numbered as 7.2 billion and growing. One event that led to another and another, events that brought us back down to nearly 6 billion. Over 12 percent of humanity had been lost in less than 3 years and even to this day, many are unsure of what happened.

We have experienced nearly 3 years of relative peace since worldwide panic but even still, people are determined to unjustly blame a different group of people for the tragedies occurred quite some time ago-"

Lisa was interrupted by a new voice.

"Oh yes, Dr. Loud, please tell us what we got wrong." A strong almost angry voice had made itself known as everyone turned to side of the stage opposite of where Lisa came from and out came a well-dressed man who appeared to be in his late forties.

He had on a dark blue suit, thick square glasses that shown dark-brown eyes. The man had light-brown hair on top, while the hair by his temples were greying, he had that government official look to him too.

Katherine wore a worried face that she fixed with a smile and stammered out a greeting, "Uh, w-what a surprise, please welcome former mayor Robert Ke-"

Katherine is interrupted by the man, "Please, Ms. Mulligan, you can leave out the former mayor and I hope within the next few months you'll be calling me Senator Kelly." He proudly stated.

Lisa looked infuriated, no that's too lenient, livid, livid is a more apt adjective. When she turned to meet Katherine's expression, she ignored the shock and discomfort that was revealed by her micro-expressions and spoke plainly.

"Ms. Mulligan, I was under the assumption that I was to be given the time to educate the masses on mutants, the misconceptions and confusions surrounding them." She said while adjusting her glasses that shined a little.

Katherine looked at the young genius with an apologetic guise.

"Y-yes… I thought that was the case until a few hours ago, when my… producers sprung this on me, and w-well, why not, this way we can get both sides on the topic." She ended with a forced smile.

Lisa was about to retort angrily when she was stopped by Robert Kelly.

"Please, Dr. Loud, don't be too mad at our lovely host, when my people found out she was having you appear to talk about the mutant problem, well I just had to come… to provide my perspective." He worded it carefully.

Katherine muttered something while stealthily masking her microphone, "And how exactly did your people find out about this?"

Apparently Mr. Kelly heard this and chuckled, "Let's just say, that's my little secret."

Lisa still looked very angry, there was more than a little panic whenever it came to mutants but now, now this fool is trying to undercut her efforts to put himself in the spotlight, she was promised the time to carefully tell people what is a mutant and how they aren't different from humans.

The genius took a brief moment to breathe in and compose herself. "Regardless of whatever…" She looked at the man attempting to run for senator, "obstacles may present itself, I have an obligation to educate the masses, barring in mind that is still on tonight's agenda Ms. Mulligan?" She genius asked the tv host who nodded firmly.

"O-of course, Dr.L-uhh… Lisa. You are free to move on with your side." Katherine perked up at the last word she uttered, like it was a slip up.

Lisa noticed the wording, her side but let it go to begin.

"Very well. As we all know nearly six years ago a terrorist group known as Harmony and Discord, commonly referred to as HD, had begun their trail of destruction all over the globe.

In major cities they set off identical mutagenic bombs to which we've taken samples and recovered what we could. Through their actions, HD has created a human sub-species, the how which I will explain in simpler terms, regretfully I have been instructed to keep the terminology to a bare minimum and the nature of our findings short. This is to both decrease the panic that was incited by former President Trump and his wing to turn our attention and place blame upon our fellow man."

Lisa paused as a projection appeared for the people and various images appear.

"But to come back to the previous aforementioned mutagenic bomb. What you see before you are visual images of what was the explosive-pathogen dispersing device that contained two things.

The mutagens and a special kind of activating radiation, made specifically to have said mutagens to perform their true purpose."

Lisa was interrupted by Katherine, "And what is that purpose?"

Lisa adjusted her glasses, they gleamed and she continued, "Yes, the express purpose of the mutagens, were to infect living organisms and trigger specific mutations, i.e. create mutants."

The images shifted to various photos taken of captured specimens, many of which look like monsters, making the crowd squirm and shift back in terror.

"But we also believe these are not the intended results-" again she's interrupted, this time by the would be senator.

"And just who is we, Dr. Loud?" Kelly asks.

"Ahem, I'd greatly appreciate not being stopped, we'd run a lot smoother that way, but to answer your question, within my short time working for our government, to which my position is classified and not to be disclosed. A particular task, I and many of my fellow researchers were to study the recovered mutagens and uncover its mysteries.

Later, under the employ of Umbrella Inc. I do much of the same, trying to understand what it is that was unleashed upon all of humanity, so in short, WE are the many government scientist; geneticists and biologists, specifically, are the ones whom agreed on my previous statement: HD intended to cause mutations worldwide but not to the degree of the unfortunate subjects that have been displayed for our audience.

No, I believe, what they were looking for were more like the later batches of mutants, the kind that came after the… wall was erected, many of whom were senselessly slaughtered."

The images shifted to pictures of ghouls, monstrous animals and plants, and even horribly deformed people who look angry and violent.

"These are not what you would consider quote-unquote mutants-" and again Lisa is interrupted by Kelly.

"You can't honestly expect us to think the things on screen are not what we've been fighting-"

This time Lisa cutoff Kelly, "No, I don't, because ignorant parasites like you deny what they're being told and refuse to listen, so if you'd be so inclined to be quiet and listen to me!" Lisa said heatedly, over and over she being talked over, the last thing she wants is to get political over meaningless talk, the nonsense she has to endure when she'd rather work in peace…

*Cough* "What you see on screen are not mutants as we've labeled them *"Because that makes sense"* I-" Lisa glares at Kelly, "That is another subject we'll revisit. What you see and what quantifies as mutant sub-species are two completely unrelated subjects.

It all goes back to the mutagens, what they do initially after invading organic host bodies and if they are compatible, the host undergoes a change on the genetic level. It creates an extra gene in the system, to which there are still debates as to what it is referred; the mutant-gene, the X-gene and my preferred alias, the meta-gene.

This extra gene remains dormant until activation, to which we've learned should be natural but in the cases of the attacks were forced premature by the following radiation that was delivered within the mutagenic bombs; noteworthy for not being a previously discovered type of radiation and that leads us into believing it was created solely for the mutagens currently in our systems."

"You mean in a mutant… a MUTANT's system." Kelly says firmly as Lisa shakes her head, no.

"You are mistaken, as I've said previously, the mutagens were dispersed worldwide, they're still within the atmosphere, inert but still there-"

"I'd think we'd all know if we're mutants!" He said with certainty as the crowd made murmurs of agreement and even a cheer.

*Sigh* "This is why you're here Lisa, ignore them." She whispers to herself some of it is picked up by the microphone but nothing noticeable to those who aren't paying attention. "Everyone and I mean EVERYONE on this planet has been exposed to the mutagens, they're inside of us all but I've already said not everyone is compatible, some even have an inactive extra gene and have not been activated."

"SAYS WHO, YOU COPREATE SPONSORED DOCTORS, TAKING BRIBES TO SAY WHATEVER THEY TELL YOU!" yelled someone from the audience, immediately they were escorted out by security, after that was taken care of, the rest of the audience glared at Lisa and Katherine.

Lisa pinched the bridge of her nose in frustration. *Sigh* 'Imbeciles, spreading false information and instigating mob-mentality, as if my job wasn't hard enough.'

Robert Kelly coughed and laughed lightly, "You have to appreciate the more… vocal individuals, even so, that was just unwelcomed, please continue, Dr. Loud." He says with a grin.

Lisa could only nod, she glowered at him a little but had to go back to her presentation, pretending she was giving a lecture at the universities.

"Back to what I was saying, anyone can get tested at the sites, provided by our government, they are discrete, non-invasive and quick, the results will be mailed directly to you or you can return for an invoice."

Kelly made himself known again, much to the annoyance of the Loud genius, "I seem to remember, there was an even easier way to find mutants, didn't they use a special kind of rock or machine?" Kelly asked with that trained politician's smile, he knew what he was doing.

"Yes, there were minerals that were irradiated with the activating agent for the mutagens, while using specific devices, they would alert others to the location of a mutant for… quarantine." She finished with a grimace.

Kelly continues, "Ah, yes that's right, and correct me if I'm wrong but didn't you make them-"

"NO! No I did not, the technology came from me, in the sense that the specs and blueprints for the prototypes were taken and manufactured without my knowledge." She defended herself as Kelly's smile turned into a vicious smirk.

"Yes, thank you, good doctor, oh and if you can remind me, wasn't it you who protested the use of this technology and then out of nowhere, it seemed, all the blast shards and cores were wiped out, hmm, almost like someone made it- oh but what am I saying, please do go on with your exhibition."

Lisa glares, menacingly at the politician, if looks could kill, Robert Kelly would've atomized a dozen times over. "… As I was saying the difference between the mutant sub-species and the being so vastly changed by HD through the overuse of the mutagens will be explained.

To put it bluntly, the changed beings you see on screen had not developed the extra gene that would create a mutant." Lisa used air-quotes when she said mutant. "Instead, the influx of excessive mutagens as well as the over-exposure to the activating radiation caused radical deformities and a state of hyper-active mutation. Coming in stages or classifications of which they behave but that is for another time."

The next picture displayed what may be the make-up of some kind of virus or something.

"Next, we have a bit of the inner workings of what are in the mutagens. In accords to our research, the mutagens in question are human based and they seem to accelerate the human genetic blueprint, i.e. our human structure, our code, D.N.A. ect.

In fact, wild mutations in animals and plant life should be low to non-existence for anywhere but direct exposure to mutagens and the activating radiation."

As Lisa explained, some looked at her with skepticism, others with confusion and fascination.

"What I mean to say is, HD may have been trying to further human evolution, what may have taken tens of thousands of years, have been skipped all at once. Unfortunately, they're gone and we have no way of knowing their true intentions and ultimate goal.

And that, sadly, brings us to our next topic." The images shifted to ones of people being arrested, gunned down or otherwise hunted like animals. There was even a video compilation of the same things happening, this made the audience and the individuals next to Lisa turn slightly. "What we have here is utter chaos and the overreaction that took place not only in our country but all over the world as a whole.

People who've exhibited extraordinary abilities via mutations were mobbed and hunted like animals. This was less than a year after the first attack, perpetrated by HD. Here we see numerous innocent people assaulted and killed before former president Trump revoked the human rights of mutants, 'on the grounds they're not human', it was then you could say all hell broke loose.

Mass killings ensued, the creation of special task forces to respond to mutant activity, most of which ended in death and finally the instillation of the DUP; a STILL government sponsored organization whose base of operations are in… well, what's become of Seattle, their main goal is detaining all mutants and elimination of recognized unstable B.O.W.s or Bio-Organic-Weapons."

It was then, right as the images shifted that Robert Kelly spoke again. "Now hold on a minute, I know our former president had made some… hasty decisions regarding the mutant population but you can't shift all of the blame on him." He argued.

"Are you saying you were in support of his laws that enabled proverbial genocide of another people, like a certain historical figure who is regarded as the most evil man in history?" Lisa retorted.

"No, of course not, I'm saying he was rushed to make choice he hadn't thought through. If it were me, I'd have mutants registered and accounted for, under surveillance in fact."

"And why is that, ignoring the very much illegal implications to the lines you are willing to cross, the would be a massive breach of privacy, human right and constant monitoring of persons of special interest without justifiable cause would cost money coming directly from the tax payers pockets, everyone's hard earned money would be spent to spy and keep tabs on people just as harmless as the next."

"Harmless? I seem to recall in those riots, a bunch of mutants mowing down officers and civilians alike, you're telling me they're no more dangerous than the next law-abiding citizen?" Kelly asked the young doctor.

"Yes I am, are you telling me no normal citizen is capable of murder? There have been far too many incidents of adolescents obtaining firearms, it's too easy for troubled teens to get their hands on guns and start firing, that's not to mention grown adults who have registered firearms, by your logic, should they not be under surveillance at all times? This is no different." Lisa retorted.

"No different, a human has to get a gun, a mutant is a gun, are you telling me they should be allowed anywhere without precautions, every incident is on us, as unfair as the people make it, it does fall on your closest congressman and local official to have a plan in action.

Officers are our solutions to law breakers and criminals who may be armed, what is our solution- no, our safety-net when the wrong mutant with the wrong power goes on a rampage? The police are not equipped to deal with a threat like a mutant who can blast planes out of the sky, or one who can destroy your mind with a single stare, I figured you know a little something about tha-"

"Stop!" Lisa roared, raising her voice for the first time since she got on stage. "We are getting off course."

Kelly paused, "Yes, Dr. Loud, I apologize. I should have known how sensitive you'd be on that subject."

It was then Katherine reminded the two she was there, "How about a change in script, Lisa. We've known there were different types of mutants, how about you shed some light on that for those no in the know." The host requested.

Lisa nodded, "Certainly," with that, the images flashed until it stopped on three pictures, "What we've determined is that most of the mutant sub-species are divided into three classifications. And no we didn't give them names, they are what floated over the internet, I am of course referring to Mutates, Conduits and Espers.

Those are not recognized terminologies used by us, they are what the masses online have familiarized themselves with.

All mutants have an enhanced physiology of some kind. Some have an improved metabolism, some have a denser cellular structure, some even have increased brain activity, ect, ect, ect.

Let us begin with type 1, what some have called mutates. The type 1 have a mutation that is limited to physical changes. In graphic novelization terms, let us refer to the classic staple; super strength. Some would have superior muscle growth and density that would be beyond professional weightlifters, beyond what's capable of normal human limitations, all while appearing simple in stature. There are many ways to achieve similar if not exact powers throughout all types but more on that later.

Next is type 2 or what you might be familiar with, conduits. It all stems from a form of matter manipulation; some can feed off of certain matter which acts as the catalyst or their source between the mutant and their abilities. Some seem to absorb their catalyst directly into their being, some passively build up the means to use it. The power does not originate from within their biological make-up.

Last, we have type three or *sigh* what some, annoyingly call espers. Now let me make something clear to you all, I've made this argument on many fronts, to my fellow scientists and to comic enthusiasts, Psychokinesis is the governing branch for all mental base powers, as it refers to having mental influence over any and all bodies or systems of mental capabilities. Telekinesis, telepathy are two specific examples of a generalized term, espers, deriving from ESP users does not fit, Extra Sensory Perception tells us anything other than the five basic senses are unnatural, this is false! Excuse that last bit, I've had this argument with a great number of individuals for years and many are still debating what passes for mental powers but it has brought up many questions but we'll leave it for now.

Those are the three types of mutations found in the mutant sub-species." Lisa ended just as Katherine raised a hand for her attention.

"While on the subject, I've heard of a mutant hierarchy or-" Lisa cut her off.

"Alpha class, yes, I know a little about that. With research on voluntary subjects and studying the remain of deceased mutants, I'm confident in telling you there is somewhat of a hierarchy, some mutants are genetically predisposed into elevating into newer heights as compared to some of the others.

To be precise, most mutants develop one type of ability, their body changes and adjusts for this. An alpha class, develops an unrelated power set that has nothing to do with the previous one but one trait is shared with all mutants, no one type of mutant can develop an ability originating from a different type.

That is to say, a type 1 cannot obtain a power that comes in a form of another type. Mutants that originally have a physical mutation do not develop abilities of the mental kind or in matter manipulation." Lisa explained.

Then Kelly coughed, "But what about the omega?" he questioned and Lisa looked visibly stunned.

In her head, a myriad of thoughts and emotions had blazed through the young genius but her features stiffened. "I'm afraid I'll need you to run that by me again," she had no choice, she had to refer to her corporate prepared statements, deny, deny, deny, "What are you talking about?"

Kelly just smirked, "Oh, you mean you have no idea what comes from your own company. I am of course referring to the passages my sources have uncovered, documented by-"

"Apologies, but whom may I ask are your sources, it would seem relevant that who brought this sort of thing to light would need to be credible to have any ground, otherwise, who's to say, it isn't just made up like a good number of your anti-mutant pseudo-science supporting rallies." Lisa growled.

Kelly sat straight-faced, "Of course I can't reveal my sources, that was the deal to delivery these notes that come straight from an Umbrella facility. If you cannot believe in my sources, then perhaps you'll believe these papers," he holds up a few pages that look worn and slightly burnt, "After all, they were documented by Dr. Nathaniel Essex." At this, Lisa's eyes narrowed with tremendous fury.

'So it seems that Essex has a few leaks within his lab, if only he were in my place, I'd be laughing at his misfortune.' Lisa thought as Kelly went on.

"To paraphrase, Dr. Essex begrudgingly acknowledges a one Dr. Loud, on her discovery on the mutant evolution system, from lesser-betas, to primes, to alphas and then to the omegas. Dr. Essex goes on to elaborate that the theory presented to him was, certain mutants breaking the limitations of alphas and entering realms of possibilities that cannot be measured.

He also says that even though the theory has been disregarded, there have been rumors from some of the infantry scouts, that one such mutant lies behind the dead-zone."

When he ended, the audience looked stunned as whispers were shared. Lisa was visibly unreadable but just the faintest bead of sweat had dripped from her forehead.

'I suppose I have one card to play,' Lisa thought, "Considering, I've never made any of my finding known to Dr. Essex, I find it hard to believe he has documentation confirming events he was not present for.

I also find it to believe that your sources just happened upon these 'documents' as you call them, that look as if there was a poor attempt to destroy evidence, awfully convenient, almost like fabrication." She ended as she adjusted her glasses.

That got people talking even more so, as Kelly looked noticeably bothered by her retort.

Of course, all of this is real, along with the mutant hierarchy, Lisa had discovered a potential jump or elevation, just as some were meant to become alpha, some were meant to rise above that. Without any live subjects to vindicate her hypothesis, Lisa can only assume Alphas were meant to stand above average mutants as the Omega(s) were meant to lord over them. Alphas would be the best in a specific line up, like the strongest or the fastest while also branching into other areas. The Omega would be the best, period, their powers and abilities would go beyond the limitations set by Alphas, the omega would reign supreme.

Katherine, seeing the buzz in the audience, turned to Lisa, "Well, Lisa, now that you've thoroughly explained what is and isn't a mutant, how about we move on to… uh, how about the wall?" She suggested.

"Yes, a change in topics should prove beneficial to my task." Lisa turned to the audience and the images on screen flashed through a number of images and stopped on a far view of machine that was no taller than say a few inches but stretched across the landscape, the aforementioned machine projected a solid blue wall. This was the divider between the U.S. and the dead-zone.

Lisa continues, "As many of you know, I was present in the first attack on America but was escorted to safety before the device went off, ruining so many lives in the process." This was a difficult thing to talk about for her, but she couldn't let anyone see it on her face, she proceeded, "It was at the exposé in Seattle, where I attempted to publicly unveil my creation; hard light interface.

To keep it brief, since there is a bit of misconception, the hard light interface was made to condense photons and electrons into a semi-solid state, the initial uses were very basic but with further study, the applications could be endless.

Back to the wall, less than a week since the attack, I was contacted by congress and asked if I could use my invention to put distance between the rest of us and the absolute carnage that was spreading from Washington. By the time I came up with a usable model, weeks had passed and the situation shifted from a few states to nearly a quarter of our country and so evacuations were made so that we could wall off the damage which is why the lining is so inelegant, crossing through state instead of around them.

I suppose that's it for the history behind its purpose. Next would be the following attacks on America, the birth of the DUP, nearly a year after the very first attack, relocating all mutants and mutated beings, the B.O.W.'s, to facilities made to contain them. We witness the creation of Curdun Cay, an objectively immoral detentions center, the relocation of the DUP's HQ, back to where it all began, Seattle.

The joint efforts of the U.N. found the hideout of HD and sent a nuclear strike, the recovered scraps of machinery and biomass confirmed the elimination of the terrorist group. If you are wondering why I am rushing through this, I was not a part of these events and cannot give any in depth history behind the decisions and logistics." Lisa paused briefly, this next part, she knew everyone may not find appealing.

"Now, we have the plague, lebende Fäule , first documented in Germany," She paused as the people around her tensed and/or shuddered, "Claiming the lives of over 300 million, this virus of unknown origin-" She's interrupted again by Kelly.

"Unknown origin? Everyone knows where it came from, the mutants, that's where!" he shouted as people began agreeing with him, Lisa looking angered and Katherine feeling awkward.

Lisa responded, "And just what is your proof that lets you accuse a small population-"

"Small population, we're being invaded, normal humans are in danger of being taken over by mutants, people who were nowhere near the attack have been turned and are hiding among us and every day, we grow closer to all-out war, THEY are not a small population they're growing, the moment you take your eyes off of them, they multiply."

Lisa stares at him, if looks could kill… "There are less than ten thousand confirmed mutants, not even a thousand here in the U.S., that is less than one percent of one percent of the entirety of the human population.

This delusion you've concocted for yourself is exactly the propaganda that earned former president Trump his second term, even with no real plan, only having to whip the masses into a frenzy and pointed them at innocent people…"

As Lisa and Kelly were having this back and forth there was a buzzing sound in the worried hostess' ear, Katherine was talking to someone, and it looked like she was panicking, trying not to argue on camera, but ultimately, she relented.

"Ahem," She got the attention of both the young scientist and would-be senator, "Lisa, I believe, after being given your time, we should hear… Mr. Kelly's thoughts and share his side on mutants." Katherine looked like she didn't want to say it but Kelly just smirked in victory, Lisa was at a breaking point.

"Excuse me? The reason I am here is because my boss was promised I'd be given the run time to give questions much desperately needed answers." He voice was low, "Since my arrival, I've had to entertain the notion that this Neanderthal would be sitting in for public appearances but now I know why, you've allowed this to happen merely to boost your ratings!

To think I would waste my time, believing a little education would set some minds straight, but no, I refuse to be a pawn in your televised showdown of facts and ignorance, Goodbye!" Lisa shouted ripping off her microphone and storming off stage.

"Hmm, I suppose, the good doctor has chosen to flee when she can't have her way, that's alright, what else can we expect of a 13 year old girl. We have what, 30 minutes left, may as well put them to good use." Kelly said as Katherine slumped down onto her desk.

'I'm gonna kill him! No, my producers, producers first, then the network president, I'm the Goddamn showrunner, the director, how am I getting bullied to let this jackass on my stage?' She asked herself while putting on her practiced smile.

~X~

"What an absolute heap of my misspent time, the nerve of that monstrously appalling filcher and the miserable excuse of functioning organs, how can people be so irredeemably xenophobic and callously justify stupidity? Honestly, I fear for the future if primitive and petty philistines are the ones to direct the country's direction. Perhaps I'd be better off creating my own and not have to deal with the likes of them." The young genius angrily mutters while stomping outside to her ride.

Lisa was making her way to her black limousine when a familiar voice called out to her.

"What's up doc?"

Lisa turned to see a tall African-American man, about 6-foot even, in a grey and black uniform while sporting a dark trench coat. The man has a short black hair that was greying at the temples, a goatee but the most striking feature about him was the black eyepatch that covered his left eye.

Accompanying him was a woman of average height at 5'6", in a tight, formfitting version of the man's uniform, has a hip holster with a firearm. She has sort dark hair, lightly tanned skin and looked completely serious yet indifferent to Lisa.

"Director Fury, agent Hill, a… pleasure as always." She said with obvious sarcasm. "What brings you by, it can't be to witness my failed attempt at enlighten the nation."

The two adults looked each other and then to the young genius.

"We need to talk." Fury says.

Lisa rolls her eyes, it seems she has history with this man. "What could the director of S.H.I.E.L.D need from me?"

The man huffed in annoyance, "It's about Umbrella and the work that's been going on in the shadows but answer me this, how does a pharmaceutical company, purchase an actual town?"

Weird, a corporation owning a whole town? In actuality, it was the mayor who sold most of the building rights and generally the city owned structure.

"Considering the dire economic and financial situation for America at the time, any town in the same position would've considered doing the same." Lisa explained without much thought.

"Uh huh, I'm just wondering, considering it's so close to your old home town, if it had anything to do with you?"

Lisa fixed the man with a glare.

"But none of that's important, I know you know Umbrella is cooking up something nasty, acquiring their own private militia, weapons manufacturing and the creation of their own bio-weapo-"

Lisa stops him, "That is just speculation, one that doesn't concern me, after all the things I unknowingly helped your people accomplish, I remember your words from before, 'we're all pawn of some grander work at hand, you can either knowingly take part or keep your mouth shut and believe whatever you want', I don't ask questions, so long as it doesn't affect me." Lisa says as she begins walking away, "I think we're done here."

"Have you given my proposal any thoughts?" Fury calls out.

"As I've told you in our last encounter, I want nothing to do with SHIELD. Working with the government has backfired in so many ways, and to find what you were doing with my inventions was the last straw, goodbye fury!"

Just as Lisa reached her Limo, Fury calls out one last time, "The wall is failing."

Lisa nods, "Yes, running non-stop for years on end would do that to any machine, I suspect your headquarters needs constant maintenance, no?"

The director nods, "You were the only one who could use it effectively." He admitted.

Lisa scoffs, "Give it a few years, I'm sure every other country will catch up, our dear president Trump, saw to that, with your assistance."

With that, Fury's eye narrowed but eased up, "We've been making regular contact with Washington," with that, Lisa turned to the man, "The cloud is dying. Most of Washington has been able to engage in communication. Regarding the wall… we've been given a year at most, that's all our tech boys can give us before it utterly fails.

And since you're so keen on not lending your services, I came to inform you, your prototype has been found."

Just like that, he had Lisa's attention. Fury smirked as he nodded to agent Hill, she reached into her pocket and presented something to the young genius.

~X~

Lisa was riding in her limo, it's spacious, the seats are dark and very comfortable. The young genius has a fist holding up her face, as she looks forward into nothingness.

Suddenly, Lisa runs a hand over the metallic device on her hip. It lights up and blinks before a holographic keyboard and screen appeared in front of her, she inserts a flash drive into her device, then begins typing and a few files come up.

Images of Umbrella mass producing guns, explosives, etc. Lisa isn't a fool, she knows shady things go down in that company, but years of being screwed over has dulled her moral compass quite a bit. At least she can take pride in not being part of the dark dealings happening at the company.

Let's go back 6 years.

Lisa, like the rest of her family was devastated by the loss of Lincoln and Lucy, she ran the numbers time and time again for nearly three days and came to the conclusion that neither Lincoln nor Lucy could've survived the bomb, being so close. She even factored in all probability and unlikely that the two could have gotten into a car, even acting as quickly as the moment the doors closed, there is no reasonable way the two could have gotten to a safe distance.

Everyone at or in decent proximity to the immediate explosion died, that was confirmed, but anyone unfortunate enough to be just outside the blast radius was horribly mutated beyond recognition. At best, Lincoln and Lucy were dead and nothing was left of them that the family could obtain and bury, at worst, the two were changed into monstrosities that had to be put down ASAP.

The most damning evidence was their tracker chips, they stopped transmitting and Lisa made them to last years, even if you were dead, she could still find your corpse. This only supports that they've been caught in the blast and/or have been turned into unholy abominations.

Lisa has accepted that Lincoln and Lucy are no more. That reasoning was reached by not only the parents but also Lori and most surprisingly of all, Lynn.

Of the sisters that, against all logic, believe Lincoln and Lucy may have survived, no one has made that argument more vocally than Leni. She believes whole heartedly that Lincoln and Lucy are still out there, it's that belief that caused a rift between Lori and Leni and after a big fight, the two haven't spoken regularly in some time.

After Leni, silently supporting her are Luna and Luan, though the twins haven't made a scene out of it, the two hold out hope for their missing brother and sister.

The only unknown is Lily, the poor thing, she barely remembers her missing siblings, she, more than everyone else was distraught over the loss of Lincoln and Lucy. Lisa still remembers the look on the four year old, if the Loud genius wasn't heartbroken over the loss of her siblings, it was definitely Lily's cries and calls for Lincoln that did it for her.

A week after losing Lincoln and Lucy, Lisa was contacted by the US government, the science committee had already known about the potential of her hardlight technology and word made its way to congress, who were looking for a bit of damage control. She was commissioned to make some kind of divider to contain the spread, a few more weeks passed before the makings of the wall came to be but by then, the mutagens had spread and then she had to anticipate where to make the divider, cutting off a large chunk of the country, a lot of which was untouched at first.

It still eats away at Lisa to know just how many people she condemned to that kind of hell. Tens of thousands of people, soldiers, families she never met were all locked in some kind of cage.

Then more bombs by HD , on a much smaller scale, started popping throughout the country, then mutants were coming out of the woodwork, their rights were revoked, enabling all but legalized lynch mobs and executions. That is what Lisa considers a low point for all of humanity, it didn't just happen in the US.

A year after the loss of her siblings, she and her family was offered to move to New York.

Lori was the only one to turn it down and do something else while dragging Bobby along. The rest of the family moved to New York but by next year, Luna, Luan and Lynn had moved back home to Royal Woods and their lives turned.

The same year, former president Trump, was exposed to having sold the hardlight technology to foreign nations for undisclosed reasons (profit), and was promptly booted out of office, along with most of his wing, after his re-election.

Lisa refused to continue working for the people who sold her invention after she found a more shocking discovery. Calling in a few favors, Lisa was made aware that the former president and former general Ross, were both trying to have their people weaponize her technology.

Lisa moved on, but problems occurred at every job she held, her new inventions, research material and notes were all either stolen or destroyed, and though she can't prove it, she's sure S.H.I.E.L.D. and by extension, Nick Fury was behind it. He had come to Lisa on two separate occasions, to which she refused to work for him, and then her work was taken from her.

Five years ago, there were riots and protests in every country, back then, every country had declared martial law to keep citizens in check and with it came a lot of backlash.

The creation of the DUP will stick with Lisa for years to come, she met Brooke Augustine, a military woman who didn't flinch to turn on her own kind and imprison them. Someone who pretty much conquered Seattle and claimed it as her base, a base that is no longer being hindered by the cloud.

Lisa is scrolling through the files, the cloud will recede from Washington within a few weeks and whether or not it is dying remains to be seen but it is leaving Washington.

Lots of organizations, SHIELD included, have dropped operatives into the dead-zone to collect information, some not coming back at all.

4 years ago, the Umbrella corporation came and bought the city of Great Lakes, the legality is still up in the air for some, but Great Lakes was remade into something better.

Lisa finished reading the files and pulled up something… a picture of the founder and CEO to Umbrella, Oswell Spencer and standing next to the old decrepit British billionaire were a man and woman, both relatively young, dark hair. Their names are listed, Lisa already knows of Oswell, not having met him in person but she does know of him. The younger man's name is Sebastian Shaw and the woman's is Selene Gallio, the pair belong to a group who's name would make Lucy feel right at home, the hellfire club. According to Fury's files, the hellfire club has had past dealings with Spencer but the club has Lisa's attention, they deal in information and the weapon trade, they're plugged in numerous company's stock trade but that doesn't matter to the genius, Lisa's eyes narrow at a certain part, they've been… involved in human trafficking.

'Despicable!' she thought to herself as she read more.

The hellfire club is stationed mostly in Europe, with no confirmation of their main HQ, they also have branches in 8 countries, including the US. If there was anything linking them to their crimes, Interpol would've been on them by now, especially since they've gone international nearly a decade ago. It is believed that their American branch was caught behind the wall along with Selene, seeing no activity from her, and appearances from a lone Shaw have cemented this even further. A little over 5 years ago, presumably since their American branch is M.I.A due to HD, their operations have ceased but recently, they've started back up and are linked to disappearances of a few teens and young adults suspected of being mutants/metas.

Lisa thinks deeply and strokes a few keys, soon a different file opens, replacing what she's already seen.

Next are pictures, documentations and videos of what seems to be other continents of the world, specifically, military bases and underground facilities filled with people of a different ethnicity. Lisa looks through pictures and plays a few videos to see mutants, mutants being instructed by military personnel into shooting targets, some practicing their abilities in underground facilities and some being hooked up with wire and studied. From the files, it's clear to Lisa that other countries are beginning to draft their meta humans and weaponize them for active combat.

'It seems some regions are learning to integrate their metas, at least acknowledging their usefulness on a militaristic level, that's as well a start as any, I suppose. The question is, why is Fury showing me this? Does he think this will convince me to take his offer, to work for him, perish the thought! If our country was so concerned with foreign metas fighting us, then perhaps they should have recognized them as people and value their reality defying abilities. They should have gone the same route as Canada and Japan.'

Back when the riots were ravaging every nation, Canada and Japan were able to quell theirs much faster than any other nation, afterwards, they even offered asylum to any mutant wanting to flee the world wide genocide, as to be expected, many fled, lots were killed on the way to sanctuary.

Lisa, having enough of what fury gave her, opened up a sole picture and finds herself calming down.

Something she looks at when she wants to stop thinking.

It was an old photo of her family, all 13 members of the Loud family from 9 years ago.

Lisa has been through a lot and this certainly helps relieve some tension, maybe a visit would help more, but in all honesty, she hasn't met up with her family in nearly 6 months.

Mr. and Mrs. Loud, Rita and Lynn sr. are doing well for themselves, currently residing in Queens, Lynn opened a restaurant, it's pretty popular for families and Rita became something of a novelist, her most popular series revolves around a mysterious young boy who lands himself in the most unbelievable situations and 10 returning female characters who join him from time to time. The two have been doing their best to raise their remaining girls in a healthy environment.

Lori and Bobby enlisted a year after losing Lincoln and Lucy but before that, she had practically cut ties with her family after a huge fight with Leni. After serving a tour lasting 3 years, she joined the police force in Great Lakes and was put in S.T.A.R.S. the special tactics and rescue service of GLPD, a specialized police force created by Umbrella.

Currently, Leni lives with her boyfriend who Lisa has never met and as far as she knows, Leni hasn't talked to her parents much. Leni has made many contributions to the world of fashion, being a recognized label herself after working under other labels for a short time, she's doing well for herself.

A year after moving back to Michigan, Luna and her band were picked up by a label. She had a good year on the road and then she was emitted to rehab for a year after OD-ing, after another year, she had some kind of falling out with her girlfriend and the two called it quits, she's been solo since. Luna has had a rocky path to stardom.

If anyone had it worse than Luna, it was Luan. After a mental breakdown while in New York, she, Luna and Lynn moved back to Michigan to start their lives up again. For a while, she lost her passion for comedy but after finding love, she was re-inspired to start back up again. She became a guest writer for sitcoms and she did so well that she went to get her own show, she got it, but after a year it was cancelled with no explanation given to the family, but Lisa knows, shady deals with corporate scum never go well. It was after this that Luan tried her hand at filmography and starred in commercials and things were going well for a while but due to some personal problems and rivals sabotaging her opportunities left and right, she gave up. Earning a cutthroat attitude, Luan entered journalism, she had the face and charm for television, an upbeat outlook and was ready to seize her moment, unfortunately, a few people with a grudge ruined it for her. After a bout with depression, Luan, for the last 15 months has been seeing a therapist and started up an independent series with the twins, there has been some good reception.

Lynn's life has been pretty disappointing, after the loss of her siblings, she lost her passion just like Luan did at one point. These days, Lynn works as an athletic trainer, she makes pretty good money.

Lana had it pretty rough in the beginning, she had to leave behind her pets by finding them new homes. Currently in her second year of high school, she makes it a hobby to rifle through the junk yard and rig something together, she has a small number of friends but that's really all you need.

Lola ruined her pageant career before moving and no longer has an interest in it. Before high school, she got into gymnastics and now she puts it to use as a cheerleader with the other popular girls in school. Lola excels in academics and etracurriculars, she aims to prove herself as above all others and though she has retired her pageant gowns, she's still rocking her tiara.

Lily, when Lisa thinks of her youngest sister, she can't help but picture Lincoln, not in looks but in her wanting to help her sisters, that normally carefree spirit and her extreme interest in comics and video games. Lisa feels especially bad for not talking to Lily for months on end, maybe a present would help ease any ill feelings she may have but what to get, Lisa will never be able to top what Leni did for her last birthday, Leni made a giant stuffed bear that was twice as big as Lily. This may be difficult but for now-

"We're here, Dr. Loud." Called out the voice of the driver.

Lisa took notice and saw she was back at work, maybe she could call her family in the morning and see how they're doing.

-XxX-

We see a mature couple, a blonde woman and a bald man sitting on a couch with a young blonde girl, about ten years of age.

The group of three are watching TV, Kat-Talk, a little after Dr. Loud left the stage, abandoning the host with the would be senator.

"Oh, Lisa." The woman said somberly as the man next to her spoke up.

"That's just how it is honey, but hey, she'll get over it." He dismissed staring at the talk show.

"Lynn, why are we still watching this, Lisa already left?" The older woman questioned.

"W-well, uh, look- I know this Kelly guy is pretty rude and whatever but he does bring up some good points, I mean, Rita, would you feel safe with a mutant going to school with our girls?" Lynn asked his wife.

"I never feels safe with our babies out of the house but that's not the point, Lynn, they're people and this isn't the 50's we shouldn't treat people like… this!" Rita made her thoughts known.

Lynn put his hands up in surrender, "Hey, hey, honey, I don't think they need to be put away… it-it's just after what happened to your father and Myrtle, I wouldn't want anything like that to happen to our girls." He reasoned.

Rita looked down and a little defeated. About four years ago, in the retirement home Albert aka pop-pop lived in, one of the retiree's developed mental abilities that went haywire after a seizure, most of the residents and employees were found dead, it was a dark day for the Louds.

"Are mutants bad?" Asked the youngest loud, Lily. Age 10, light-blonde hair that reaches her shoulders, she's in her purple pajamas with bear slippers.

Lynn sr. flinches, "Uh, well no- certainly not all of them, it's just some of them, like everyone else, there are bad mutants, it- um, people with powers just scare everyone and you never know which ones to look out for-"

"Lynn! Don't listen to him sweetheart, mutants are just like you or me." Rita tries to reassure her daughter.

Lily looks confused, "Then why does that man say they're gonna take over the world?" Lily asked pointing to the screen.

"Because, he's a bigot and he's crazy, like everyone else in charge of this country." She muttered that last part.

"That's not exactly fair, honey, more and more mutants are coming up and if there's going to be more of them, one day they might outnumber the rest of us." He tried to point out to his wife who looks at him with the face that told him 'no nookie tonight'.

Lily didn't know what to think, "But what about spi-"

["Why don't we take some calls - And here's our first caller for the night, Mr. -oh lord no- J. Jonah Jameson!]

[Thanks Mulligan! Now, Kelly, you spent the entire time talking about you and mutants, I'm here to talk about heroes, the real heroes. A police officer who dives into a shootout to protect a family not his own, paramedics and EMT's who don't hesitate to answer the call when a life is on the line even when the streets go up in flames and then there's our fine firefighters, risking life and limb to save our homes, these are the heroes who die every day, the ones we should be talking about. If you're going to talk about the damage the mutants cause you should be praising the brave men and women who give their lives to help, the real heroes not like that wall crawling menace-]

*Click*

And the TV goes dark. Rita and Lynn stare at Lily who glares at the darkened screen, clenching the remote to the point you could hear the plastic creaking.

The parents look back at each other as if they've been debating in silence. Then Rita spoke up.

"Lynn, when did the twins say they'd be back?" She asked, trying to move on from the talk they were having.

Lynn sr. looked down at his wrist watch, "Huh, they should have been back by now, I wonder what's keeping them?"

Rita, wanting to avoid the awkward air her daughter set in motion, went to give her girls a call. "I'll call Luan, they should be done and it's pretty dark already."

Rita gets her phone and makes the call- Luan picked up already?

[Hello?]

"Luan, hi sweetie, are you done wit-"

[Ha! Voicemail, leave it! *BEEEEEEEP*]

Rita's eye's twitch as she breathes out.

-XxX-

*Huff* *Huff* *Huff*

Those were the desperate gasps of a young woman who was trying to hide for dear life.

She's pretty and a little tall for a 15 year old, her hair was a long golden-blonde that reached the backside of her slender figure. Currently, she was in tattered jeans, a bloodied pink blouse and her hair was a mess, caked in grime and dried blood.

She's trying so hard not to make any noise but it's evident that she's been running a long while but-

*Clomp* *Clomp* *Clomp*

Then came the familiar sounding footsteps of boots, from the same person who's been chasing her. The young woman's breath hiked as the sounds came closer, she reached behind her and pulled out a handgun, it was black and had the make of a standard issue sidearm to a police officer.

The young woman got up slowly to move but a *Click* sound, of a firearm hammer being pulled back made her freeze. She felt the cold metal, business end of a gun pressed against the side of her head.

"DON'T… MOVE!" Roared a feminine voice. "Drop it and turn around, now!" That same voice ordered her and so she dropped her gun.

As the young blonde turned she saw the person who had been chasing her, from the ground up, the woman in front of her had old boots covered in mud, going up, she had on torn jeans, above that was a black tank top, with specs of blood and finally, the face, it was identical to her own but sporting a black eye along with a few bruises.

The two were identical in looks but with a few key differences, unlike the first girl, this… hunter had shorter hair that barely reached her shoulders, and their builds were remarkable to the respective girl. This new girl had a sturdier frame, with some muscle definition as opposed to the first girl's lithe frame.

"Wait!" The first girl cried. "You don't have to do this."

"No, but I want to, you had your chance." The second girl said with absolutely no emotion nor hesitation.

"I know- I know I was a horrible sister to you, I should have stood by you, I didn't mean to-"

"You be quiet, you don't get to talk, not now, it's too late, it's too late for everyone." The second girl raised the gun to the first girl's head as she clenched her eyes shut while tears streamed her face.

The second girl scowled and squeezed on the trigger.

*BANG*

This was it, this was the end- wait.

The first girl opened her eyes, to see she was unharmed, but looking back at the second girl and she notices a blood spot on her chest getting bigger as she clutched her chest and fell forward, dead.

Behind her would be killer was a boy around the same age as the girls who held onto a bloodied gun, with a poor grip, but then he dropped it.

The young blonde let out a relieved gasp as she ran out to the boy and hugged him with all of her might. Said boy was in a brown jacket, a white shirt with dark pants, the shirt was torn and had blood stains, he had disheveled brown hair and was shaking.

"I thought you were dead!" The girl mumbled into the boy's chest.

"N-no, I'm fine, and you?"

The blonde looked to the boy and smiled, "I'm better now."

The two embraced once more before breaking apart and looking back at the corpse of the blonde's doppelganger with somber expressions.

"CUT!"

There was a bell ring before the boy and girl released a heavy sigh and then the dead blonde got back on her feet.

"Ahh, finally it's over." Exclaimed the first blonde. "Now, where is my low-fat, caramel Frappuccino?" She shouted.

"Jeez, sparkles!" Was the voice of her body double, "You'd think you were a real actress on set, and don't you think it's a little late for coffee?"

The long blonde haired girl turned her head, crossed her arms and huffed, "Oh, whatever, Lana." She said in annoyance and her aggravation spiked when Lana wrapped an arm over her shoulders and embraced her in a side hug.

"Aw, sis, don't be like that, smile, we're finally done, Woo! No more late night shoots, seriously, who's idea was it to have the last three episodes take place on the same night? I lost so much sleep." Lana complained.

"Tell me about it, and you're not even the one who values their beauty sleep."

*Sigh* "I hear ya- wait, what's that supposed to mean?!" Lana shouted, glaring at her twin.

"Oh, you know, it's just some of us actually try to take care of themselves, while others don't put much work into it." She said a matter a factly.

Lana's glare deepens as her grip on her twin tightens, "Why you-" She was interrupted when the two of them were smothered in a tight hug, one that was warm and something big and soft was pressed against them.

"ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT, THAT'S ENOUGH!" A woman shouted to the two, breaking them up. "Great job you two, I can't thank you enough and I promise I won't bother you about this again… for now." She whispered that last part.

"N-no problem, Luan, could, you m-maybe, lighten up, we need to breathe." Lana shouted but her voice came out muffled.

"Oh, sorry! Haha! Gotta be careful when handling the twins, wink-wink, but you have to admit, I know how to bust up a problem." Luan said elbowing Lana as the twins roll their eyes and groan.

Luan giggled to herself and then all eyes fell on her, specifically on the massive globes of flesh attached to her, they jiggle and bounced to her laughter, no one can take their eyes off her until she stops and everyone resumes their former tasks.

So, Lana, Lola, I got your last check, right here." She says as she shoves a hand down the cleavage to her ample bosom.

The twins try to look away, only having a slight blush as their older sister digs through her chest for their pay, making a show out of it.

Luan, 23 and her current passion is writing and directing an independent series. She's dressed in her semi-professional and non-formal business attire. From the bottom up, she's in black shoes and white socks, going up, her bare lightly tanned legs that lead to a yellow, high-waist pencil skirt and tucked inside is a white shirt with the first 3 buttons undone to let her massive breasts breathe and show off, on top is a white blazer that has her signature pink gag-flowers. Gone are her braces and in their place are perfect teeth that fit a perfect smile, her hair is being kept in a tight bun with a few strands out and curled over her face. Going back to her chest, in the six years that have past, they've nearly doubled in size, she's officially, the biggest girl in the room, sitting at a G-cup and has to get her bras custom ordered.

Finally, the comedian fishes out two perfectly crisp and somehow unwrinkled checks made out to her sisters and handed them over.

The twins grumbled a 'thanks' with beat red cheeks as they took their pay.

*BZZ BZZ*

Luan's boobs vibrate as the twins turn away and just pretends to read their checks, "Ooh, let me check on that!" And just like that, Luan dives right back into her chest to fish out her phone.

"Oh Goddammit!" Lola quietly screams, tired of this gag with her sister. Lana just sighs, silently agreeing with her twin. Luan pulls out her smart phone.

"GOT IT- got it." Luan checks her messages and flashes a slight frown, a missed call from her mom and most likely an angry voice message to go along with it. Shrugging her shoulders, Luan just plays it, it can't be that ba-

["LUAN LOUD, IF YOU DON'T PICK UP, I WILL-] *Beep*

Luan holds her ear in pain after hitting stop, "Sheesh, some folks just can't appreciate a joke, *sigh* I better give her a call." She says before turning to the twins, "You two get cleaned up, I'll tell mom and dad, you'll be home soon." The two nod to her before taking off

Luan swiftly made the call while quietly sighing to herself, 'I wonder how everyone else is?'

In a nice apartment in the city of Great Lakes, sounds of groaning and high pitched wail died down as the sound of bodies fell and slumped onto a springy mattress.

*Huff* *Huff* *Huff*

The desperate gasps of an exhausted couple fill the dark room as two bodies lay under the sheets, a heavy layer of sweat coats each of them while they cover their nude forms with blankets and pillows.

"W-wow, babe! T-that was… amazing, I mean you were on fire tonight." A familiar voice wheezed out. It's Bobby.

*Inhale* "Yeah, well you've been a good boy for a while now and I figured why not." Lori stated with relief in her voice.

Bobby raises a brow, "Come to think of it, you've been pretty active all week, not that I'm complaining but what gives?"

Lori keeps silent, she's not answering, that much is clear.

*sigh* "Babe, you can't keep giving me the run around, if somethings wrong, you gotta tell me, isn't that what boyfriends are for?" It almost hurt for him to say that.

Lori's hands clench and tighten before loosening up, after letting out a deep breath. She turns to her long, long time boyfriend, sapphire-blue eyes meet the darkest shade of brown and she opens her mou-

*Brrrrrrring* *Brrrrrrring*

Both Bobby and Lori jump out of the bed, in all their glory, they relaxed on the second ring and realized it's Lori's phone. They sighed and relaxed as Lori made her way to her mobile all the while, Bobby stood mesmerized by the swaying hips and tight butt of his lady.

Lori checked the I.D. to see her captain. "Wesker?" she said out loud, then answered. "What can I do for you, sir?"

Bobby could only glower at the mention of his superior, how a nobody from who knows where was put in charge of S.T.A.R.S. was beyond him, and maybe a hint of jealousy played a part. The way he comes off sometimes really makes you wonder if he even cares about you, all while being a dick to him and favoring Lori, his turbo-hot and emotionally closed off girlfriend. He listens in just to hear Lori end the call.

"Yes, I'll let him know, yes sir!" From the sound of it, you'd think she was saluting him. Lori turns to Bobby, "There's an emergency and we're expected to meet at the precinct for a debriefing at 8."

And just like that, Lori was back in work mode, except she will be going straight to bed, weird how that works, but in the meantime, Bobby knows, there's not going to be a third round. He climbs into bed, "Night, babe." He says, not expecting a response.

-XxX-

In front of a mirror, sits a beautiful, slender woman. She has very long, platinum-blonde hair that's moved out of the way as she applies more makeup, eying herself carefully, her emerald-green eyes track where the brush touches, flinching slightly.

As she finishes, she examines herself, looking for any flaw or a bum job in her work, when she deems herself perfect, she lets out a relived sigh.

One last look in the mirror revealed a dazzling, Leni Loud.

She exits her bathroom and is in a thick grey hoodie and dark sweatpants. She tiptoes her way to the bedroom, where we see a figure rising and falling, indicating they were asleep. She looks to be in deep thought, but ultimate sighs, Leni creeps closer to the bed and slowly sits.

Leni wanted to lift the sheets but decides against it tonight, she just lays down, she winced a little but tries to get comfortable. She folds her arms across her chest and crawls in a ball, hoping sleep would take her soon.

-XxX-

Sounds of moaning and bodies smacking against one another echoed into a room just opened. 4 bodies just exploring each other just as one of them broke apart to hit the lights.

3 of the four seemed a little basic, appearance-wise. 2 of them ladies and 1 young man, one of the women had an orange tube top and a brown miniskirt, brown hair, golden hoop earrings and was curvaceous. The second woman had short, frosted white hair and had the 'club girl' look going for her, she has on fishnet gloves and top as a first layer, a barely see-through crop-top over her chest and denim jeans for bottoms, this girl has on heavy makeup and is pretty skinny but has a nice pair of tits. The lone male has short black hair and his face is decorated with freckles, he has on a white shirt and black pants and honestly, looks pretty scrawny, like a strong gust of wind could knock him over but hey he's here.

The one who broke off from the other 3, a very sexy, shapely woman, even with no makeup and a nice layer of sweat, she looks way too good for any of them, that's probably why she invited all three to her hotel room, seriously, who can say no to THE Luna Eclipse after performing for 3 hours non-stop for a concert.

Luna Loud, everyone, or better known after her 3rd comeback as Luna Eclipse, the genius solo artist. She along with her… company for the evening, begin to undress and wouldn't you know it, they couldn't take their eyes off of her, a hardcore rock legend has the body of one too. From the top down, Luna has grown out her hair all the way to her chin in a sort of messy punk-bob cut with a purple streak running through it.

Freckles decorate her face as well as everywhere else, on her ears are multiple piercings, long gone were the paperclip makeshift-earrings but on her left nostril is a diamond stud piercing.

Luna looks to the stunned group with the deepest sapphire-blues and winked while she pulled off her top. No bra to contain her high C cups, firm and bouncy, they just jiggle for her audience and each nipple is studded. A giggle from her husky voice sends shivers down their backs. Luna turns giving them a better look at her ink. On her right arm, spiraling from shoulder to wrist is the music sheet to one of her songs, no one knows which one since they never get a good look at it. Going down, she has a tramp stamp, a playboy bunny with a bowtie.

The guests don't even notice the tramp stamp as they are too busy gawking at her slim waist, her curvy, wide hips and fat ass. So luscious, so plump and soft, the magazines don't do it justice, and after the clothes come off, her peach bottom was even more prodigious and enticing.

Luna turns back to her prospective audience, the stares were so adorable, some looked shy or even nervous, must be their first time with a rock star. Wanting to break the tension, Luna calls out to the beautiful television, a smart tv.

"Hey, google or siri- whatever, play something!" She said as a device lit up, then the tv turned on and played a movie, she shrugs, better than nothing she supposed. She turns and beckons the others with a finger.

The others looked to one another and began stripping, albeit slower than Luna did.

Luna examined the goods and nodded to herself, the girls weren't disappointing and the guy was decent, nothing to write home about but they'll do for tonight.

"Alright, ~Let set this party off right!~ With that, she pounced, just another night for Luna Eclipse; the insatiable beast of the night.

In the Loud House, all the way back in Michigan, stands an empty home say except for one.

Lynn, 22 and currently sawing logs on the couch. She would be in her own bed but she was dead tired from being out all day with her friends. Although she hasn't made a career out of her old obsession with sports, that doesn't reflect on her body, you can see her sculpted yet feminine figure.

Currently on the tv, which was left on, is an old report on the plague that wreaked havoc across the world years ago. Lebende Faule, no one knows where it came from, or how it really spread, it seemed just coming into contact with anyone who had was in danger. There were counter measures to keep it contained but there isn't a vaccine for it, it just stopped spreading, like someone made it and told it to stop.

Lynn sleeps through the revelation of the first cases originating in Germany. The RKI, basically the German equivalent to the American CDC, has made numerous investigations of where it came from but to no avail.

Suddenly, Lynn's eyes fluttered in semi-alert as she felt uncomfortable where she is.

"This isn't my roo-" She pauses to see the tv, "Oh, right." She stretches and a melody of pops sound off in her back. "Ahh, that's the stuff." She gets up and makes her way upstairs and enters her room, which was formerly hers and Lucy's.

Gone are the small beds for two children and in their place is a single queen sized bed, beside it is a night stand that held a few pictures. She picks up one that holds a photo of her, Lincoln and Lucy; she's got the both of them in headlocks as she and Lincoln are smiling, and Lucy was frowning, but she was a good sport about it. She kisses the photo goodnight and heads off to bed, as she climbed into her bed, there was a small mass hidden underneath, as Lynn got comfortable she pulled the mass towards her chest, it was an old plush toy, a stuffed rabbit, the athletic Loud held onto it tightly as she drifted off.

Somewhere, in Germany, stands an old rundown cathedral, it's been closed off for years and there isn't much around that would draw people near. There have been rumors of it being haunted by a beautiful specter, a figure of unknown origin that always looks different when retold.

Currently, in front of the old building stands half a dozen people, each wearing white hazmat suits and are armed, they each have the letters RKI branded on the suits except for one.

One has a red patch on their chest, probably the one in charge, looks over to the rest, "Ist jeder bereit?" Each nodded, but one spoke out.

"Are we sure, we should be bringing the American with us? Can she even understand?" It was a masculine voice and a condescending one at that.

Then the figure in the hazmat suit without the RKI brand spoke, "Ich versichere dir, I'm more than capable of communicating, if not, I wouldn't have been assigned to this case." A feminine voice responded with indifference, in perfect German.

The one with the red patch looked to the one who spoke out against the American woman as if waiting for an acknowledgement of some kind.

The rude man turned to the American an muttered, "My apologies, it will not happen again."

"See to it does not, now onto business." Said the leader, "Our sources say that patient zero visited this once holy temple, then a matter of days later, everyone they came into contact fell ill nearly instantly, at the same time, this much we all know, yes?" Everyone nods in agreement, he goes on, "There have been cameras in this district but every time they are replaced, they are destroyed in the same week, so we have absolutely no idea what happened, but witnesses say, they have seen people within the church, yet no one goes in or out.

What we are here to confirm is if there are people within and call for backup to bring them in for questioning, after they have been secured, we are to investigate the building for biological activity, laboratories, samples, animals, anything that seems odd, understood?" Everyone nods again.

Moments later, the group of six had made their way into the cathedral, inside, there didn't seem to be much, it was empty, save for the long rows of seats, but something was off, nothing obvious but just the atmosphere, like something was lurking… everywhere.

We see the American woman turns on a flashlight function on her helmet and is weirded out by something or rather a lack of something, usually in movies, there tends to be a lot of dust or even cobwebs, but here, nothing, barely any dust for a building that was left alone for decades as she was told.

"Excuse me, I am unfamiliar with the exploration of abandoned facilities but are they normally this clean?" She asks as everyone turned to her.

The leader was about to say something fluttered out of the corner of his eye, it looked like black clothing.

"She's right," Someone agreed with the American, "It seems as if someone has been looking after this place, perhaps we should call it in, send for more agents." The same person suggests.

The leader believes this may be enough to call it in but then does a double take. He counts in his head, 'Eins zwei drei vier… warte, was!' "We have one missing!" He said, getting them all to look around, after sounding off, the one that was missing was the man that was rude to the American, how could he have disappeared?

*Clack* *Clack* *Clack*

The sound of light footsteps fill the room but considering how empty and silent it was at that moment, they may as well have been stomps. The group turned to a hallway that leads to stairs, Red leader caught someone leaving but only say the same black fabric fluttering when they turned the corner.

"Hey, stop!" He called out but they were gone.

The remaining team of 5 looked to one another, did their missing member run off, did this person take them, should they go after them, they each looked to the leader, it's his call to make.

The smart thing to do would be leaving their missing team member to their fate and calling for backup, but morally, he knew he couldn't live himself if he just left one of his own.

The leader looks to the American and one of his own then told them, "You two, go out and make the call, the rest of us will pursue." One teammate spoke up.

"You can't really think we should split up, and what about-" They were cut off by the leader.

"We're not splitting up, we need to call it in but we need to keep going we're not leaving a man behind." The group looked uneasy but made no objection.

The American and the extra RKI agent leave the building. As soon as the rest hear the door close, they head down the stairs. It was unsettling every step made a creek, it was a wonder how the mystery person made it down without the same kind of noise following, excluding the clacking of shoes.

The RKI agents unclasped their firearms, seems a bit late but they chose to do that now, they enter a narrow corridor and hear some kind of chewing noise, they can hear it all around but all they see is the wooden halls.

Up ahead is an open door, the agents approach very carefully. The leader takes a deep breath and goes through very slowly and stealthily, and there his eyes widen.

It was an empty basement with a cellar door, chained down. He called the others in and the room filled with 3 agents, each taking a look around.

"These chains look new, sir." One of the agents tried to message quietly. Another agent inspects the walls to the basement and notices tracks leading to an end of one wall but disappear where the wall is lined.

"And what about this, these tracks stop right here." The agent told the others.

The leader takes a look at the wall and knocks on it to fell that it was hollow and yet soft like-

*Slam*

"Ah, what the hell!" The agent watching the cellar freaked out. The door rose, as if someone was trying to push out and then the doors crashed back down.

The three looked to each other and nodded, the leader approached with his gun as the other two were right behind him. He aimed his gun at the lock on the chains and-

*Bang*

The chains fell as the lock was blown off. The three agents aim their weapons as the leader reaches over and lifts one of the doors, immediately, the three point their guns only to see nothing.

The agents look to each other and shrug, then, one by one they go down a ladder.

At the bottom of the steps, the three look to see another narrow corridor and the same chewing sounds from before.

The agents could feel a chill crawl down their spines as they make their way through, and even with their hazmat suits on, they could feel something was amiss, if not foe the suit, they'd be able to smell the air, the foulest stench, but being unable to notice, they press onward.

They soon approach a door and hear a hum, it was enchanting, like a lullaby, they stop to listen, it's in a language, they don't immediately recognize but they come closer- *CRUNCH* The leader looks down to see, his foot was on top of something. He lifts it to see it was a skeletal finger, it looked ancient.

The three were about to press onward but noticed a distinct silence, the humming had stopped, with a hesitant and shaky hand, the leader pushed the door open, with a squeaky creek, the door revealed a woman.

Said woman was turned to them and dress in typical nun getup, a black gown with a white collar and even a headdress.

Her hair was beautiful and luscious, a platinum-blonde that reached her thighs, most of her features were masked by the wall of hair acting as a sort of curtain for the mysterious woman.

The leader was about to speak when the woman spoke up in the most heavenly voice, as if spoken by the mouth of an angel, "Heisann." She spoke in such a calming, disarming tone, it was husky yet gentle, like a shot of endorphin made its way into your brain.

Whatever the woman said, it wasn't German, and the leader knows that, "Hello. Who are you, what are you doing here?" He knows, it wasn't the same language, here's to hoping she may respond.

The woman takes a moment to… honestly, the agents don't know if it is the language barrier or if she's thinking on a response but then… laughing, they heard her laughing then take a deep breath.

"It was err on my part to assume you'd understand me, my apologies. But you seemed to catch me on a bad day, I was not expecting lost souls to wonder into my parlor again so soon." She said in such a beautifully plain tone, but still hypnotic nonetheless.

The leader looked serious and raised his firearm, "I asked you a question, who are you and what are you doing here?!" He barked.

After a lengthy pause, he heard her laughing again.

"My purpose is beyond your understanding, and now, I know you've come looking for one of your own but he saw something he shouldn't have and… well, I hadn't had a nice meal in some time and I am VERY HUNGRY." Those sweet angelic tones turned sour and inhumanly evil for those last words, the three agents leveled their arms at the woman in fear but something kept them from firing.

One of the agents yelled out, "It was you?" As he spoke the wall beside the woman shifted and changed colors.

From a brownish-red color for the bricks, they had become more red and pink as the texture changed and was more fleshy than one could imagine, like a mutilated carcass in liquid form and hung over a wall. The wall split open to reveal teeth and a grotesque looking tongue extended towards the woman, then opened up to reveal a dead body but this body had a hazmat suit on except for the helmet.

The flesh of the exposed head looked decayed and sunken in, the veins were charcoal-black the eyes were mush and the teeth were rotten down into nubs.

The woman spoke in her beautiful voice again, "He made a wonderful appetizer, I wonder if you'll be more filling?" She asked rhetorically.

The agents looked stunned, that was indeed their missing member but something looked familiar about the state he was in, then the leader gasped.

"lebende Fäule!" It was indeed the plague that haunted the world at one point, did this woman make it, is she a mutant, were the rumors and accusations true. What's more, why did the plague look like it's been in his system for months, this was an advanced stage of lebende Fäule – The Living Rot.

"Hmm, Very observant, yes this is what you were searching for, no?" The woman asked as she began to turn around.

The agents saw the most beautiful woman they had each laid eyes on, her features were absolutely perfect, she had even, generous proportions and her eyes were closed and she held her hands in a prayer like fashion but that made her look all the more divine, like she really was an emissary of God, she just had this aura about her.

The three struggled to form words as they felt something hold them in place and then the leader looked down to see the same fleshy substance that was on the wall, crawl on them and into their helmets. The leader could hear the muffled shouts of his team behind him. This will soon be his fate.

"Find solace in knowing you will soon find a greater purpose within me, for you shall soon be one with your savior and through me you shall find salvation from your meager existence." She mused in such a horrifyingly calm voice that was made even more eerie when she finally opened her eyes.

They were a chilling, glowing red, like two orbs of hellfire with white sclera.

Then the red leader saw her form shift into the same fleshy appearance as the wall but her form was more human, she still looked as if she was prying but it didn't matter, the leader was blacking out, this was it.

'Good luck everyone, I hope someone can put an end to this blight, we can't have another like it.' the leader thought as he faded into nothing ness.

~X~

The walls to the room shifted into monstrous flesh and moved away from the walls, leaving dozens upon dozens of skeletons, presumably previous victims. Even the walls of the narrow corridors turned into flesh then dissolved and reformed in one spot.

With the disgusting monster woman, repugnant, putrid flesh was being gathered into her very being and all that mass was condensed as she reformed into her beautiful self.

She hummed to herself as she was getting the very last detail of her form juuuust right, and then she took a deep breath.

"It seems that even after so many willing sacrifices, I'm just barely halfway back to full strength, *sigh* I gave up so much of myself to search for you all over this world and I still haven't seen hair nor hide of you, my precious. I'm beginning to think you might have died all those years ago, but I refuse to accept that, after all, we went through so much to have you, it would be a waste to know the fruits of our labor was lost after so long.

Even now, those pesky, dead lab rats still get in my way. The ones who dared to share the results that have elevated me into a higher being. Tch, harmony and discord, they just couldn't roll over and die all those years ago and leave this world in my care, but no matter… in time ALL SHALL BE ONE WITH ME." She gently spoke with a monstrous echo behind her voice. The woman hunches over to catch her breath, like that personal monologue took a bit out of her.

She pauses for a moment. "It seems, I may need to move to a new location, I can't afford to create another plague just to smoke you out, but fret not, I will find you, for you still have yet to complete me, my angel, and until that day comes, I'll keep looking, just wait a little longer." She says as smiling, lovingly to herself, like a lovesick maiden counting the days until her one true love will come home.

Nearly an hour later, the American CDC agent along with the RKI agent return with dozens of FIA (federal intelligence services) agents arriving in cars and a few trucks, everyone decked out in weapons and body armor, like they're heading to war.

A parameter is set and a team of 20 is sent in, the American is left behind with a few agents keeping watch of her. She's really not feeling the trust, but she watches the camera work they've set up, the RKI agent and 19 other FIA agents are sending a live feed and the majority of the agents are keeping watch.

The first thing she sees is the entire inside of the cathedral has changed, when she was in there, she saw a relatively clean and maintained but now… now it really looks abandoned, the floorboards were broken, rotted and filthy, and the walls were just as disgusting. She hears the RKI agent explain exactly what she was thinking.

The American sees the team head down the stairs she saw before being told to leave. The agents descend the stairs and finds to her horror, corpses, hundreds of corpses, most compacted onto the walls and contorted into frightening poses. Most of them are withered and skeletal, and they look to be victims of the lebende Fäule virus. As the name implies when properly translated, the LIVING ROT, was a virus that rotted living tissue but it could be contracted like a disease, it was horrifying to look at, blood of victims were almost black and smelled worse than rotting flesh. Most victims didn't live past a week or two, and the decomposition of the corpses happened a lot quicker than normal. For some reason, it didn't take on mutants and we know what that led into.

Back to the cameras, the team had just entered through door and the interior was completely different. The atmosphere looked unhealthy, even through the screen it was obvious there was something up.

The walls were littered with juicy corpses and most of them looked skeletal while some seemed to have some semblance of tissue attached to them, otherwise they each were contorted in inhuman ways to try and appear flat along the walls.

The floor was coated in disgusting juices, the wooden floors were decaying and there were holes everywhere, this did not look like the place the team of six entered before.

"My God!" The American woman couldn't help but blurt out.

The current team carefully maneuvered their way to a broken staircase and it led them to a hall that was just filled and collapsed with corpses but at the end, they encountered the remains of the previous team

Back with the American and the rest of the observers, something told her this would be beyond her and that something more sinister was happening from the shadows.

It was at that point, she snuck away from the captive audience and pulled out an old flip phone, she flicked it open and the screen lights up with a logo of a skull and 6 tentacles.

AN:[I cannot believe it took me two months to get to this point, now as I've been saying for the last few updates, as far in between they were, I'm taking a hiatus and uploading a few fanfics I've been writing in between doing this, sometimes I get inspired and wanna jot it down. Letting you all know in advance, they're mainly Naruto, RWBY and Loud house in great number but a few others who's media I don't pay much attention to. Here's to hoping they're well recieved.

Now, onto this story. Hopefully, when I come back, I'll start writing less while moving the plot forward, instead of having bloated chapters. By next chapter, I think you'll see which marvel and DC shows I'll be doing, keeping in mind they'll be heavily changed to not include alien and supernatural forces.

There are so many terminologies and labels in the marvel and dc comics, and depending which universe, marvel's own system can get screwy for mutants. To keep it simple with me here; prime mutants are mutants who've developed the extra/mutant/meta/x-gene and develop powers all their own, beta mutants have a dormant/unawaken gene but gain powers artificially with a pre-existing template, like for Augustine and her DUP agents with her concrete ability, alpha mutants gain extra abilities, they are predisposed to attaining new heights in powers though that doesn't mean they'll be the best at anything and finally the omega level mutants, the comics went through deep changes to make lots of mutants omega while never really explaining their system half the time in almost every universe, here very few can be called omega, they'll have powers spanning every sub-type from 1-3, and an omega's potential shall be unknown, incalculable, ect.

Later on in the story, we'll be exploring each sister, going through their business and meeting up with one another and familiar faces.
For a long time, I was unsure if I would mention our president by name, not because I was afraid of any consequences but because I was afraid I'd make it some kind of political statement or comments would make it seem that way, (lack of reviews have dulled that, appreciate the PM's though) then I wanted some kind of stand in but now it's like F$# it, no one cares.

Next, that nun woman is an original character by me (and is based on like 4 other things) and with be a center focus in the story but we'll learn about her more later.
Also as you can guess, raccoon city doesn't exist but resident evil still happens, I had a PM a while asking why took this direction time why, after getting that cleared up, I answered, I found it so weird how some games and superhero shows could take place in modern years or even before that but somehow have way more advanced tech and primitive tech like in so many fictional comics, to keep up a sense of realism, lots of areas with greater importance and relevant interest will have a more up-scaled technology available, like Seattle will when we get there way later.]
