Anyway, I hope everyone is safe and enjoy the chapter.

Reviews:
GunBlade2020: It is sad that Zabuza had to die, but I needed him to die for Haku's character to grow a little more. You will start to see her development to become the Ice Demon of Konoha

ghostshot841: Naruto will most likely befriend Kurama, I just don't know when. This is different from canon in terms of their relationship because Kurama actually knows that Naruto is powerful. He is most the powerful jailer he has ever had.

TempestHawke: The road starts soon, the four must come together to save all of humanity.

Chapter 12: A new member of the family

Another day, another boring council meeting. That is what Arashi is feeling right now as he leaned his head on his hand, his eyes fighting to stay awake. The successor to death had fought many battles, mostly against humans and few against the supernatural, but this. This is the worst battle he has ever had.

'Is this what Minato went through only on a daily basis. Why the hell would he...why would anyone want to have this job.' Arashi looked to the other council members to see if they were up and low and behold they were bored just as him. Shikaku was asleep as usual, Tsume was knocked out drool coming out of her mouth, Chozume is snacking, his mind obviously gone, Inoichi was making paper airplanes, Hisashi eyes were fighting to stay awake, Shibi was buzzing, and even Mikoto was bored.

All members of the shinobi council were bored and would do anything to have some action at this moment, hell they would fight the Kyuubi again just to get out of this. And as crazy as that sounds they would hope nothing like that would happen, but they do want something interesting to happen.

"Sandiame-sama, Team 7 and 8 have returned, and have brought a refugee that wishes to seek sanctuary with the Namikaze clan." The chunin left the office after that in a shushin and everything that was going on just came to complete stop as all eyes turned to the Black Reaper himself.

"This has something to do with my son." Arashi groaned as he put his head into his hand, he had a feeling that Naruto's name was written all over this mess.

Arashi would get his answer and members of Team 7 and 8 enter the council chamber with Haku. All eyes turned to the girl who they could tell was the refugee, but Arashi didn't fail to notice his son smiling and waving at him.

Arashi just sighed, Naruto would hardly take anything serious. Why would he expect him to take a meeting with the council seriously. "Explain." Arashi spoke mostly to his son than anyone else, but before Naruto could open his mouth the kage coughed into his hand.

*Cough* I believe that is my job, unless you want to take the hat now." Hiruzen quipped with a knowing smile and Arashi put his hands up in a defensive manner. He had no intention of taking that thing off Hiruzen's head.

"Now then, Kakashi and Kurenai your report." Both sensei stepped up and Kakashi went first, it was his mission after all.

"We successfully delivered the bridge builder to his village and should be getting money in the next week." Kurenia followed up after Kakashi, talking about Zabuza's defeat and Haku being taken in.

"Gato, the one that was ruling Wave is dead and his assassin Zabuza of the hidden mist and former member of seven ninja swordsmen was killed by Kakashi." Haku looked down at the ground when hearing her father's name. Naruto saw it would make sure that she would be alright.

"Good, good, I'm glad to see that you all returned safely. Now, who is this young woman?" Haku looked nervous, this was the first time she would be in front of a kage, but it was not just any kage.

It was the Professor, her father had told her stories of the great Hiruzen Sarutobi. To be in his presence was something special, she could feel that he was trying to make her feel comfortable like a grandfather would their own grandchild.

"My name is Haku Momochi and I'm the daughter of Zabuza Momochi." They were surprised in that council room when they heard Haku announce who his father was, but Arashi wasn't paying attention to that.

What he was paying attention to was how his son was looking at the girl, he saw those eyes before in his brother. Arashi knew what they meant and he was feeling something happened on that mission. He would get the details later from Kurenai and Naruto later, but for now he will deal with this situation in front of him.

"And you wish to join the village?" Haku nodded her head and the old kage took a look at her, while doing so he smoked his pipe.

"If it's my skill you question, know that my father gave me his sword Executioner blade before he died. I'm trained in kenjutsu from one of the best to ever wield a sword. Not only that I myself hold a kekkei genkai that allows me to combine wind and water to create ice." The third kage of the hidden leaf was now intrigued as well as the council members on both sides.

"Do you wish to be a shinobi?" Hirzen asked and Haku was unsure of the answer, she did want to honor her father, but at this moment she did not want to kill. She wants to study medical ninjutsu and help people with her herbs.

"Yes, but...not at this moment. I wish to study medical ninjustu and I know that Konoha has the best books when it comes to that." Haku had a point there, Konoha does have the best information when it comes to medicine, all of those books were written by one woman. The great Tsunade Senju. Hiruzen smoked his pipe some more before releasing some smoke. He thought about his decision and his answer, when he was done he gave the girl his answer.

"I will allow you to stay in the village as a citizen and if you wish to become a shinobi then come to me to receive your headband. As for your entry into the Namikaze clan, that decision will be up to the patriarch." Haku and everyone turned to the Black Reaper.

This was Haku's first time meeting him, the legend that Zabuza told her so much about. Just by looking at him Haku could the resemblance to Naruto, they were like clones. Arashi had his arms folded around his chest, his eyes were closed as Haku told everyone her skills, he was impressed by what he heard he will admit that.

Arashi opened his eyes to give his answer and Haku could see that it wasn't just looks that Naruto shares with his father, but eye color as well. Both of them have the ocean blue eye color that someone could get lost in by looking at them for too long.

"Fine. Whatever. Naruto, take her to the mansion and get her situated with your mother." Haku felt relief and happiness, it felt like a mountain was released off her shoulders. She had a new home and it's with someone she sees as her friend...maybe one day even more than that.

"Welcome to the family!" Naruto exclaimed as he grabbed her hand.

"Come on, I'll take you to the house. You are going to love my mom, she makes the best food that you will ever taste." Naruto dragged Haku out of the council room and soon they began to make their way to the home of the reapers.

"You guys head out too. We'll take care of everything else." Kurenai spoke to the genin now and they all nodded their heads. All of the children said goodbye to their own parents and soon left the room, leaving only the jonin. When the door closed Arashi got down to business.

"So, what really happened between Naruto and Haku?" Arashi asked, he did not care who answered, but he wanted answers.

"Naruto and Haku were spending nights together and no, not like that. They just hung out leading up to the day we would battle Zabuza and her." Kurenai told the father, but there was still more that needed to be discussed.

"Hmmmmm." Arashi hmmm and Tsume decided to interject her comment on this situation.

"Are you ok with this?"

"Barely, but from what I could see Naruto seems interested in her and it's not the first time that someone brought a girl home after a mission. Remember when Kushina got kidnapped and Minato went to save her."

"We all do." Shikaku stated with his eyes still closed and his neck hanging to the side like he was asleep.

"Yes, but what you don't know is that Minato brought her back to our home before bringing her back to the tower. My mother took Kushina in after that and the rest is history."

"Aw man, that means I never had a chance." Tsume complained.

"And how strong do you both think she is?" Hisashi asked the two jonin, trying to gauge what this girl's power was.

"None of use saw their battle, but she left Kiba and Sasuke in bad shape. From what I gathered she forced Naruto to use not only the rasengan and the witch hunter, but also she made him draw power from the Kyuubi which I did sense." When Kakashi finished some of the council members, those being on the civilian side started to worry.

"Could the beast be getting loose?" One asked out of fear, but Arashi shook his head.

"No, it's only natural that a jinchuriki draws power from their tailed beast, especially if their back is against the wall. It's a defense mechanism that all tailed beasts will do when they see that their jailer is about to die."

"Well...it's little more than that." Arashi turned his eyes to his old student and saw the jonin look at each other.

"You want to tell him Kurenai, he is your student?" Kakashi was trying to dodge the fire and Kurenai knew it so gave him one of her famous glares.

"Kurenai, what happened?" Hiruznen asked the woman and she sighed.

"Naruto made contact with the Kyuubi. He spoke with it." Now that sent the council into uproar, using its power is one thing, but speaking to it is another. While everyone was arguing on what to do with Naruto, Arashi was staying quiet. Thinking on why the beast would make contact with Naruto and what its purpose was.

'The Kyuubi would have to know that Naruto is not an ordinary human. He would have to know that he is nephilim and a decent one of four. So if he kills him his fate would be worse than death. Hmmm...most likely he wanted to meet Naruto, to see what kind of jinchuriki he has. He would know that Naruto is not Kushina, he won't fall for his tricks.'

"Quiet!" Arashi yelled, his voice booming through the council room. When they heard his voice they all shut up and turned to him to hear him speak.

"Naruto is under full control, so let me put you at ease. Kyuubi will not kill Naruto nor will he try to take his mind."

"How do you?" Danzo asked this time and Arashi narrowed his eyes, but he will humor the old war hawk.

"Because Naruto kekkei genkai will prevent that from happening." What Arashi is basically saying is that Naruto nephilim blood will protect him from the danger of the beast. The Kyuubi may be a fearsome beast, but even he could not win against a nephilim easily. Hiruzen knew the truth and supported Arashi's decision.

"Arashi has spoken and if Naruto does lose control we have made plans." Arashi knew of the plans. The plan involved a person, one person with the cells of the Shodai, the first kage of Konoha. Not only that, but Arashi knows enough sealing as does Hiruzen to stop Naruto if he goes on one of his rampages.

"Ok, but there was another matter that happened. I believe Naruto kekkei genkai, the one that you told me about has fully appeared." Now Arashi was interested, so interested that he leaned on the desk to hear what Kurenai saw.

"Explain." Arashi's tone left no room for argument, so Kurenai did explain and tell him everything that happened.

"When we were in Tazuna's home Naruto touched a photo and seemingly went into a panic attack. He was breathing heavy, but was able to calm down with the help of Nero. That was first the second happened when we were on the bridge battling Gato. It's there that we saw some kind of...thing behind him. I don't even know how to describe it. It...it looked something out of-"

"Horror movie." Hiruzen stated while his eyes stayed on Arashi kept a stoic look on his face.

"He's getting stronger." Arashi stated as he got up from his seat. "Kurenai you did good, what you just experienced is something that would drive many others insane. Naruto is lucky to have great sensei in you." With that said Arashi shunshined out of the council room leaving only black feathers behind.

"What just happened?"

"That...Kurenai, was Namikaze keeping their secrets. You tend to get used to it as you get older. Now, I want you both to head home. You can give me your reports tomorrow, but for now get some rest. Meeting adjourned." Hiruzen spoke to not only his council, but his jonin in the room as well. The meeting was over and they all had their own duties that they must get done as well. Everything else can be saved for next week, for that is when they discuss the chunin exams.

Namikaze Home

Arashi reappeared from his shunshin in front of his home, he started to walk over to the door. Dust came on to his shoulder as he walked. "Did Nero tell what happened?" Dust cawed at his master and Arashi frowned deepen. Naruto's power was getting stronger and at a fast rate, faster than himself at that age.

*Caw* Arashi stopped when he heard that, he was only a couple feet from the door. "He did what?!" Arashi basically shouted at his bird, he couldn't believe what he just heard. Naruto summoned Despair, the pale horse. Probably for the first time in his life Arashi actually felt jealousy and it was towards his own son.

He has tried for years to summon the pale horse and has failed. Actually most members in the clan have failed, if Arashi is correct the only members that have been able to summon Despair at will have only been his father, his fourth grandfather, the son of Death, and now Naruto name has been added to the legendary list of Namikaze.

"I've been trying to do that for decades and he does on the first try." Arashi complained, it was actually a comical sight right now. The fearsome Black Reaper with envy all on his face and all of it towards his son.

Arashi shook his head, there will be time to be angry later, right now he needs to speak with Naruto about his adventure into Wave. Arashi opened the door and when he stepped inside Dust left his shoulder and headed to the direction with the most noise. Arashi followed him and entered the kitchen where he saw his wife and son speaking with their new guest.

"Ah, Arashi. Welcome home, I'm sure you met Haku." Akeno greeted her husband and walked over to him, giving a kiss. Arashi kissed back and nodded his head to the woman. He then looked towards Haku to see that she was nervous.

"You don't have to be nervous Haku. You have been given sanctuary in the clan, that means you are welcome anywhere in the mansion."

"Thank you, Arashi-sama." Haku thanked him, but Arashi already had one problem with her.

"You're welcome, but for starters don't add sama to my name. You can just call me Arashi. Also, where is your father's sword." Haku reached into her pocket and brought out a sealing scroll which he handed to Arashi. The Black Reaper unfurled the scroll and out came the large blade of Zabuza.

"Amazing. I heard stories of this blade, even when destroyed it can be rebuilt by the blood of its enemies. A great blade, but in the right hands it can be powerful. Zabuza chose right when given it you, something like this should only stay in the family." Arashi could see the uncertainty in Haku's eyes, she was not ready to wield this blade...not yet.

"When you are ready to take this blade you can find it in the armory." Haku thanked him and nodded her head. She was not ready to take up her father's sword, in time yes. But for now she wants to enjoy the life of her new home and new future.

"Naruto, get Haku settled in one of the rooms. When she is done come see me in my office" Naruto nodded his head and grabbed Haku hand which made her blush.

"Come on, you're going to love the rooms. They're huge and with plenty of space." Arashi and Akeno watched Naruto drag Haku to the rooms upstairs. Akeno being the people person could easily see that Naruto was smitten with Haku and the same could be said about the girl as well.

'Well, things are about to get interesting around here.' Akeno thought with a smile as she turned to Arashi to see him leaning the counter.

"Something wrong, dear?" She asked him, she could see that something was bothering him and he did his best to hide it, but Akeno could read him better than anyone.

"Naruto, I think he likes her."

"Wow, you truly are a great shinobi to see that your son likes a girl." The sarcasm was very evident in Akeno's voice and Arashi threw a playful glare at her in which she laughed at.

"Come now Arashi, Naruto is just like Minato. Brining a girl home after a traumatic event, that actually better than how you and I met. Would you really prefer Naruto going to the-"

"No, god no. Kushina would kill us if we sent him to a brothel. I just...I just don't want him to be hurt that is all." Akeno smiled at him and walked up to him, bringing their lips close to each other.

"Naruto is just like you and Minato, he has good taste in women. Our son wouldn't just open his heart out to anyone. He cares for her Arashi and the same could be said for her, I can see it. I saw the way she looks at him, she looks like me and Kushina when we look at you and Minato."

"Oh yeah, and what does her eyes say when she looks at our son?" Arashi asked with a knowing smile.

"Oh, you know typical girl stuff. Handsome, brave, kind, sweet, sensitive, protective, and he has a great ass. But they also say that this man will be a pain ass as we get older and will constantly make me worry, but no matter what I will be there for him."

"Huh, that seems pretty accurate." Akeno smiled and wrapped her arms around her husband's neck, their lips coming together for a kiss.

With Naruto

"Ok, here you go." Naruto opened the door for her and Haku widened her eyes at the sheer size of the room. It was huge, enough room that eight people can live in here.

'To think that this is a guest room.' Haku thought with shock as she walked into the room with her bag, she didn't bring much. Zabuza and her always kept on the move, just bringing the essentials. So she would need to go shopping for more stuff and for that she would need money...which she doesn't have a lot of.

"Haku, are you alright?" Haku looked at the raven haired reaper and saw that he was worried about her.

"Yes, Naruto, I'm just...overwhelmed I guess. I have never been to a great village, then I met the kage and a legend in your father, and now I'm now living in that said legend house. It's a bit much, but I will be fine."

"Haku, if you have any problems just come to us. Your family now and this family always looks out for each other. I will always be there for you." Haku blushed at the last sentence and Naruto didn't notice the blush, but he did notice how beautiful she was. His heart began to race again, what is happening to him? He's never been this way before with any other girl. Not with Hinata and she was pretty.

"Thank you, Naruto-kun." Naruto smiled at the suffix, he was about to leave, but before he turned around Haku hugged him. Naruto was caught off guard, but brought his arms around her as he heard her sniff. The girl is still dealing with the loss of her father, but she is glad that a new family had taken her in.

Unknown to the two teens Arashi and Akeno were outside the door and listened to everything that was said. They could see the two hugging and smiled. Yeah, it would seem that they may have found their daughter in law sooner than expected.

"We should let them be." Akeno whispered, making sure that her son and his new soon to be girlfriend did not hear them. Arashi just nodded his head and grabbed his wife's hand, soon began to walk down the hallway and heading away from Haku's room.

With Kiba

Kiba was mopping on the roof of his compound, Akamaru faithfully next to him as he napped. Kiba, couldn't nap or rest, or think about anything other than a certain pink haired girl. He's been chasing after so long and this mission is the first time that they actually spoke to each other.

Maybe he should take Naruto's advice and just ask Sakura on a date. 'What's the worst that can happen? Oh, right I could die!' Kiba shouted in his mind as he put his hand over his face groaned, his groan bringing the attention of another woman. That woman is a mother."

"Hey, pup." Kiba leaned up and saw his mother next to his sister, both their respective familiars next to them.

"What are you doing?" Tsume asked curiously and Kiba answered honestly.

"Thinking about ways to ask a girl out without trying to sound an idiot." Tsume and Hana looked at each other and hopped onto the roof to sit down next to Kiba.

"Does this girl happen to have pink hair and also happens to be on your team?" Kiba glared at Hana to see her smile.

"Did Naruto tell you?"

"Nope Akamaru did." Kiba looked at the sleeping dog and mouthed the words traitor at him. He put his head back down and groaned even louder. Now his sister and his mom know about his girl's troubles. How can it get worse?

"So, you got a bitch that you like." Kiba knew his mother didn't call Sakura a bitch in a negative manner, even though she can be one at times. But it's just an Inuzuka thing where they often call their woman or even mates bitches.

"I don't know if you mean that in a negative manner or not." Tsume smiled and patted his head as she began to give him some advice.

"Here is some advice from a woman son. Just ask her out. What's the worst that can happen?"

"She could say no." Kiba answered honestly and the mother realized that her son did have a point there, but Kiba wasn't done yet.

"Besides, I doubt that she likes me. She is more into Sasuke than anyone else." Tsume and Hana looked at each other and nodded their heads. They know what the real reason was.

"Fangirl syndrome." Kiba was confused, well not really. He knew of the fangirls, they were all over Naruto and Sasuke back at the academy. But he didn't know that it was syndrome and that it was common among women in the village.

"Wait this isn't an uncommon thing?" Both Inuzuka females shook their heads, every generation has the batch of fangirls. Every single one. They were not excluded as well.

"Nope, we've seen it before. Hell, I was one once upon time and so was Hana."

"MOM!" Hana shouted embarrassed and now Kiba got curious. He had a smirk on his face as it was time to get some payback on his big sister. What boy was she obsessed with back when she was younger.

"Oh, it's fine." Tsume waved her hand at her daughter, not caring for her feelings in this manner.

"Who did Hana like?" Kiba asked with a knowing smile and it was easily read by the sister.

"No one."

"Itachi Uchiha." Hana's mouth dropped to the ground as she just heard her mother tell the name of the boy she once liked. Once being the key word. She did have feelings for Itachi a long time ago in the academy, there wasn't a girl who didn't. But that went away after the massacre.

"Wow, sis. A murder and pycho was the your big crush. At least have some standards."

"Shut up, Kiba." Hana turned her head to the side to avoid Kiba's smirk. Tsume just chuckled at her children and decided to continue her story.

"As Itachi was a guy that your sister and many other women wanted, but most of them got rid of their feelings as they got older."

"Psychos will do that." Kiba commented and Tsume nodded her head, but her son was not completely right.

"Yes and no. Listen to me Kiba, their feelings went away because they all stopped wasting their time. Itachi was a guy that was never going to give them what they wanted, no bad boy does. Girls liking bad boys is just a phase and usually it's' something that we grow out of as we start to look at other guys. Trust me, Sakura will see Sasuke for what he is and that is a waste of time. Just show what a real guy is." Kiba thought about his mother's words, he should show her what a real man is. Maybe it's time for him to take some initiative and do something, it's way better than sitting on the sidelines and doing nothing.

"Thanks for the advice, mom."

"It's what I'm here for, brat. Now, tell me about your first time out of the village." Tsume asked as she got comfortable, all the familiars of the family decided to take naps like Akamaru. Their masters were having their family time so that meant they could rest.

"Before that, you said that you went through a fan girl phase. Who was your guy?"

"It was dad, duh?" Hana answered easily and Tsume laughed.

"Hahaha. No, it wasn't your father. Kaba was the loud mouth guy that no one paid attention to. No, my first crush when I was younger was someone that you both know. Well, technically I had two at the same time."

"Who?" Hana asked eagerly and Tsume smiled as she looked up the kage mountain.

"It was your uncle Arashi and Minato."

"Ewwww." Kiba and Hana made faces, they were grossed out by that information. Their uncle and mom...gross. Tsume laughed at her children, but explained why she and many women had a crush on the twins.

"Those two were the target for everyone's heart back in my day. Arashi was the cool bad boy, the real one that everyone wanted. He was mysterious like one, but he was also helpful when he wanted to be. He actually cared. Minato...Oh man, he was sweet, nice, helpful, funny, and had a big heart. The whole package. Boy the fantasies I had when I was younger were-"

"Not listening! Not listening! Not listening!" Tsume smiled at her children as they covered their ears. It would seem she went little too much into the detail. She just looked at her children and wished that her husband was here to see them.

'Oh, Kaba. I miss you my alpha.' The wind blew once Tsume finished the thought, almost as if Kaba heard her and the wind was acting as him to comfort her. She knows her husband is always with her, but she misses him.

With Naruto

Naruto had gotten Haku to sleep, when he saw that she was not going to be woken up he quietly left her room and made his way to his father's office. Haku's room was not far from his room, in fact it was only three doors down. So Naruto told her if she ever needs anything she could come right to him.

Naruto continued to walk through the halls of his family's ancestral home, and the teen wondered how hell did they manage it. 'It would be nice if I could talk to them, but from the looks of it it seems our communication is only one way. They can speak to me, but I can't talk to them.' Naruto sighed as he continued to wonder what his dad wanted to talk to him about. He figured it was about Haku and it was his first mission outside the village, but he hopes that is not all they talk about.

Naruto has questions, too many in fact and he needs answers. One: How can a human know about him being the pale rider. It's one thing that Kyuubi can know, but that is because he is a giant demon. So it would make sense that the fox could smell his demonic blood...demonic blood. Naruto hasn't even thought about the fact that he has demon blood in him.

The teen shook his head, there will be time for that later. The second thing that he needs to talk about his dad is the images he saw. From Inari's father getting killed and the woman who was raped by the monsters...monsters that he took care of. Third...you know what, he just has a lot of questions. So his time to ask them has come for he was now in front of his father's office.

Naruto knocked on the door and awaited for an answer. "Come in," When the teen heard that he opened the door and saw his father standing behind his desk.

Arashi coat was off revealing a blank top worn on his chest, his scythe was leaning on the wall, Dust was in the room on the desk pecking his feathers, and Arashi held a book in his hand.

"Naruto," Naruto walked in and sat down in the chair in front of the desk, his father looking at him sternly. The teen could feel that he was trouble right now and if he was then this was about to get bad. Arashi closed the book and dropped it onto the desk and sat down in front of his son.

"I have been told that you have started to exhibit your abilities." Naruto inwardly sighed, he was clear. His father doesn't know that he and Haku were seeing each other in secret during the mission.

"Yeah, I guess you could say that. When I touched this picture I started to see the life of the dead person that was in the picture and the second time was when I was in the temple and I touched the wall. I saw the life of the woman that died there. What does that even mean for me?" Arashi was quiet for a moment and closed his eyes, the elder reaper thinking about what his son told him.

From what Naruto described about the ability it would seem that he has the ability to see the life of the person that has died, almost like an echo of their life. Arashi opened his eyes when concluded on what his son's ability was.

"Death Echo, that is the name of your ability. It's rare in our family, but it's much similar to my Death Sense."

"Death Sense?" Arashi could hear and see the confusion on Naruto's face and decided to explain.

"Death Sense, it's the ability that Minato and I shared. It allows us to sense when people are going to die. It comes and goes, only when a great number of people die is when it really hits hard. It's sometimes like a headache and other times it's like...a feeling." Naruto nodded his head as his father continued on their discussion because his ability was just the tip of the mountain.

"I was also told by Nero that you successfully used the witch hunter and rasengan, I'm proud of you and I'm even jealous of you since you have done something that I have yet to accomplish."

"What?" Naruto asked out of curiosity and his father smiled at him as he gave him his answer.

"Naruto, you summoned Despair. The pale horse and the stead of Death. No one has summoned Despair since my father, it's rare that he answers one of our calls."

"Oh, well I just did what the voice was telling me." Now it was Arashi's turn to be confused as he looked at his son.

"Voice?"

"Yeah, this deep voice told me stop running and just summon my horse. Next thing you know I say his name and here comes Despair. Is that normal?"

'No, it is not normal. Naruto heard Death talk to him! He communicated with our father. I have to tell Crowfather this immediately. If Death can get to him who knows who else can.' Arashi thought worriedly as he was about to answer Naruto's own question.

"In some ways, yes, there have been times when we hear voices of our past brethren."

"Huh, I guess I got two voices in my head. Did Kurena-sensei tell you about the conversation with Kyuubi?"

"Among other things, but yet that was included in her early report." Naruto caught the tone and winced, it would seem like his father does know about his and Haku late night meet ups.

"Yeah," Naruto shrugged his shoulders and he continued. "He knew that I was nephilim, and said something about my scent and how I have three of them."

"He's right. I can tell who is a demon, angel, or human by the distinctive auras and scent." Naruto nodded his head, the fox wasn't lying to him.

"Which brings me to the next question. Can ordinary humans do the same?" Arashi thought about it, the was yes, but it was very rare to find one that could see what they truly were.

"Yes, but it's rare."

"Then I think I met one of the rare ones when I left Wave. He called me the pale rider and was terrified of me." Arashi listened closely and narrowed his eyes.

"What did you tell everyone?"

"I told them that he was crazy, an old man, most likely traumatized from Gato's reign." Arashi nodded his head, his son had done right. They both know that their connection to the supernatural must stay hidden. Not everyone is ready to find out what's truly is out there

"Good, Naruto, very good. But yes, that man may have been one of the rare ones that could see our auras. Is there anything that happened that I should know about." Naruto thought about the question and wondered.

"Well, the village did have encounters with Maka Namikaze back in the day. Said that she slayed some monstrous beast that was eating people."

"Not out of the ordinary, back in the day we did jobs killing the things that people thought were fake. Monsters, demons, ghouls, you name it. There is also a book I want you to read when you have free time, it talks about the many creatures that the clan have faced. It might come in handy one day." Naruto nodded his head as his father pointed at the book on the desk. The teen got the message, he will be reading tonight then.

"Also there was this thing with Haku and Zabuza. When I fought Zabuza my heart started to beat really fast and I was excited. He fired KI at me and I just started laughing and then the same happened with Haku, but just a little different. I got the excitement and all that, but when she showed me her strongest jutsu I...I don't know how to explain what I felt at that point. What was that about?" Arashi looked away and rubbed his head, he knew what it was, but didn't know how to tell Naruto.

The first part was easy, it was his blood feeling the rush of the battle. Nephilim are born warriors and when in battle their lust for it tends to take over. They tend to become stronger, faster, more ruthless, and very anxious to get the kill. The second part was the most difficult part for how does one tell a pre-teen nephilim that he is going through his puberty. The excitement and attraction to Haku is the same for him when it came to Akeno and Minato for Kushina.

"Ok, for Zabuza it's because of our bloodline and us being warriors. We get more excited when the enemy is stronger, it makes the battle more exciting. As for Haku...I'll tell you later."

'Smooth, Arash, just smooth. Not telling Naruto about his demonic/angelic puberty stage while that said girl that he is attracted to is living in our home.' Arashi internally groaned as Naruto asked his last and final question, one that caught the reaper off guard.

"Can I get a new scythe?" Arashi was surprised to hear that, it's not often that one wants to change his scythe. Sure it has happened in the clan, but Naruto seems so sure of the Soul Eater, so why the change.

"What's wrong with Soul Eater?" Naruto rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, he didn't want to come off rude, but Soul Eater by itself was doing it for him. He wanted to try something else, something that he had originally thought about doing.

"Nothing, I still want Soul Eater to be my weapon, but I want to try a different style. Dual wielding preferably, just like the son of Death." Arashi was really surprised, but he really shouldn't.

He figured that Naruto was going to go with the dual wield, it's a difficult style to master, but from what he has seen from Nartuo now. He believes if anyone could master it then it would be Naruto. But in order for his son to get the dual wield blades he will have to contact an old friend and make him do a rush order.

"Alright, but you will be without the Soul Eater for a while. I will try to get your new scythes to new by next week. Deal?"

"Deal." Naruto smiled and Arashi got up, he walked over to his son and pulled him into a hug.

"I'm so glad that you are back."

"I'm glad to be back dad." Naruto hugged his father back, but the reunion was cut short since the window was opened and the reapers turned to the sound to see an old friendly face in Jiraiya.

"Am I interrupting something?" Jiraiya asked with a smile as he leaned into the window. Naruto smiled happily when he saw his grandfather. And he was so happy that he called by his nickname.

"Pervy sage!"

"I told you not to call me that!" Jiraiya yelled back at his grandson, his angry face soon turned into one with a calm smile as he came into the office. Naruto ran up to him and Jiraiya could really see how old he was. Not just old though, he's gotten a little bit taller, it's only a matter of time now before Naruto reaches his father's height.

"Hello, sensei." Arashi greeted his old teacher and Jiraiya greeted him back.

"Hey kiddo, and hello to you Arashi. Naruto, I need your father for a moment, so can you give us the room?" Naruto nodded his head and went to the door, but not before taking the book on his father's desk.

"I'll mom that you're here, pervy sage. Maybe you can stay for dinner and meet Haku." Jiriaya raised an eyebrow at the name Haku and looked to Arashi whose eyes told him that he will tell him later. With Naruto gone the room was now left to Arashi and Jiraiya, and now their discussion could begin.

"What's wrong?"

"How did you know something is wrong?" Jiraiya raised an eyebrow while walking over to Arashi sake stash. He knew where he kept it because Minato kept in the same place, it never changed.

"You came right here, not the bath house, but right here. Something must be wrong." Arashi meant it as a joking matter, but he could tell by the look on his sensei's face that it didn't come off like that.

The toad sage face was serious as he poured him and Arashi a cup of sake. He held out his student's cup and the reaper walked over to it to grab it. When he did both hardened and seasoned shinobi brought their cups together making a clink sound. When their cheer was doen they drowned the sake and Jiraiya winced when it fell down his throat.

"Whoof...Tsunade would kill for some of this stuff. Jiraiya joked as he looked at the bottle, the sake was like nothing he ever tasted before. He had to guess that it came from another world.

"Sensei," Arashi's tone was very serious and Jiraiya sighed knowing that he had to tell the man, it did involve not just his son, but him as well.

"You know about the chosen one I've been searching for."

"Of course, you believed that it was Minato, but after his death you turned your hope to Naruto. Why?" Arashi asked and he was about to get his answer, an answer that will lead to more questions.

"Because there is no longer one chosen, but more. Four to be exact." Arashi widened his eyes a look of shock all across his usually stoic face.

"What?!"

"You heard me, Arashi. The chosen ones are now the Four Horsemen. The great Toad Sage, the one who prophesied about the chosen now called me back just a day ago telling me that the great evil is now an old ancient enemy that will try to take back what they believe is theirs and the only way for humanity to stop them is to unite with the four.

Arashi couldn't believe it, the four horsemen are going to save humanity from some great enemy which has the nephilim. It has to be them, they were the only race that believed that the earth belonged to them. 'But that would mean that Naruto and the others would have to face our brothers and sisters. Just like the originals.'

"That...This doesn't make sense. Sensei, that prophecy would mean that another Great War will come. Humanity is not yet strong enough for it."

"I know!" Jiriaya yelled, he understood Arashi frustration. It was his clan's duty to make sure that humanity and the supernatural never meet. Not until humanity is ready, and judging from the looks of their actions Jiriaya would have to admit that they are not.

"What are we going to do? Jiraiya asked his student and Arashi calmed himself down, he looked back at his teacher with determination that was fit for a kage.

"I need you to use your spy network, cause I'm to give it its toughest task that it has ever been given."

"What is the task?" The old sage looked at his student curiously, he had a feeling that it was not going to be good.

"I need you to find my cousins. I need you to find the final three horsemen."
