A Long Time Ago:

Within our story, the mists fill in. In the great building that stands taller than any other for more than ten centuries, we will turn back all the clocks. The mist will fill in the distance clouding our view. As we travel let me warn you of a story not told to many. As the clocks turn slowly then quicker and quicker we will find ourselves to another mansion in a muggletown hidden in England: Snipers End. The mist will fill along the large backyard and the sun will be hidden behind the clouds. There in a room sat a young boy. A boy you probably guessed it: Severus Snape. Let us begin another journey.

A Long, Long Time Ago:

Snape sat in his room, a definite black eye and a broken arm. He sat in an old, wooden chair staring out into the mist of his home. There was no silence. The only defining sound was the raspy breathing from the boy while his ribs healed slowly. His mother has been with his father but knowingly she had been leaving Severus with his father.

And the longer she stayed with the man, the more cruel she even turned to. Her happiness that used to glow seemed to fade. It was as if she knew she was trapped and stopped being his friend. Stopped being his mother.

Outside the window he saw his father leave. He put his hand agaisnt the cold window and watched the car fade into the misty distance. He smiled slightly as he knew he was alone. He groaned as he stood up from the wooden chair and he walked through the small room to the other side. He peaked outside his door, even though he knew he was alone and walked to the living room space. He wasn't allowed in the living room. His father set the rule that once Severus would stop being his son he would never be allowed in that room. But Severus snuck into it. He saw the fireplace and pulled a small pouch of his pocket. He grabbed a handful of dust and stepped into the fireplace. Breathing hard and making broken air sounds he mumbled, "Cokeworth, England, Evans." And dropped the dust.

Before the summer he had stolen some Floo Powder from the Slytherin Common Rooms so he could see his best friend Lily. It was only going to be their third year. And as he felt himself being burned slightly and felt his body turn and be guided through the fireplace he felt a sudden stop as he was standing in the living room space of the Evan's house. Lily had sent him a letter that her family would be fine with him coming over through the fireplace. And even more so, they were out of town that day. Lily didn't want to go with them, she wanted to be with her friend and they happily obliged.

"Sevy!" He heard a squeal from the kitchen as Lily walked out with a plate full of sandwiches. "Oh, Merlin! What happened?" She se the plate down and walked towards Severus. his hair long and black. His nose crooked and his clothes looking more than ten years old. She knew he had even worn the clothes for more than ten years. She gently helped him step down from the fireplace and he sat down in an old, cool, leather chair. He grunted as he sat down, his ribs hurting. Her eyes largened and she brought over the plate of sandwiches. All kinds, all by her making. Severus grabbed a Turkey and Cheese sandwich and thanked her. As he ate she brought him a glass of water and a healing drought she had saved for him. She too, had taken healing potions that Severus made with her throughout their previous year. She had them for she knew if his father saw them he would throw them away, or more likely at Snape. He sighed as he ate quickly. She smiled.

"Not too fast. How long has it been this time?" Severus swallowed.

"Two weeks." Snape closed his eyes as his stomach hurt. He had been starved for two weeks. If it weren't for the occasional visit with Lily every other week or every week then he would starve for a month or longer.

"You'll eat when you and your mother stop being freaks." His father told him in the beginning of the summer. And since then, his father doesn't feed him. Lily has been making him food to take to his place and hiding it in his room under an old floor board he kept clean.

Lily sighed and sat across from him. "How have you been? What did he do that for this time?" She pointed to see his arm in a hand-made sling.

"I'm better now that I'm here." He smiled at her and she smiled brightly back. Her perfect, bright teeth that made her oh so more beautiful. Her eyes would squint when she smiled. Her large green eyes would become smaller and her nose would sometimes scrunch up. "He did this because I forgot to hang his clothes up in the closet." Severus had to do every chore in the house. Including folding and putting away his father's clothing in the right manner. She stopped smiling. "It's okay, Lily. You're here to help." He drank some healing potion and noticed how he felt less pain than when he first got there. He looked out the window. "I missed you." She smiled once again.

"Oh, Sevy I missed you too! What do you want to do today? Do you want to finally go shopping for new clothes?" She made the "puppy dog face." He had been putting it off for years and he sighed.

"Ugh, fine. But you're lucky I brought my money." He held up some of the saved money he had from Gringotts Bank. "We should go to Diagon Alley." She nodded.

"Let me go get my purse!" She jumped up excitedly. He laughed. She's so cute. He grunted when he stood up and followed her. Her curly, red hair disappeared around the corner as she went into her bedroom and he followed, standing outside her room. He leaned agaisnt the wall as she looked under her bed for her purse. He laughed more.

"Come on, Evans." As she reached under her bed, excitedly saying, "found it," she bumped her head. Severus rushed to her and held her head. "Where does it hurt?" And she pointed to a place on the top of her head and he kissed it. She smiled and blushed.

They both walked to the living room where the fireplace was. Severus took another sandwich with him on the go. He gave her a handful of the dust and let her go in first. After she disappeared behind the green flames he followed.

Diagon Alley is a cobblestoned shopping area for the wizarding world, where Hogwarts students can purchase necessary supplies. It is located in London, England behind a pub called the Leaky Cauldron. Inside the alley is an assortment of restaurants, shops, and other sights. The alley is completely hidden from the Muggle world which is right outside of its boundaries. Diagon Alley is accessible from Muggle London through the Leaky Cauldron, which is on Charing Cross Road, set between a bookshop and a record shop. The Muggles who pass by the inn seem to be "quite unconscious" of its existence. Knockturn Alley, a dark artefacts area, is an off shoot of Diagon Alley, as are the areas of Horizont Alley and Carkitt Market.

There were shops selling robes, shops selling telescopes and strange silver instruments Harry had never seen before, windows stacked with barrels of bat spleens and eels' eyes, tottering piles of spell books, quills, and rolls of parchment, potion bottles, globes of the moon... "Best thing about the shopkeepers here is that they're all honest." Inside the Alley is an assortment of restaurants, shops, and other sights; some even have tables out front with colored umbrellas. Particularly during the days or weeks before school starts at Hogwarts, the location is packed with witches and wizards, though shops are open year-round as witches and wizards travel to the location for various goods. While the shops include many school-supply locations, there are also many locations important to the wizarding world, such as Gringotts Wizarding Bank and Ollivanders Wand Shop.

But of course, you can travel to Diagon Alley through Floo Powder. It'll have you right at the pub through the fireplace. And when Severus and Lily traveled there they were greeted by a lot of folks. "Hello there, Mr. Snape and Ms. Evans." Horace Slughorn greeted them. The not so rounded man had a happy and wide smile on his face. Severus didn't like much of the professors at Hogwarts and especially not of Slughorn. Now, Slughron was his head of house. But he believed Severus needed to do more to be great. He knew Snape was bullied a lot and Snape even tried to tell him of his home life, but Slughorn only cared about his prized students. Snape's face fell slightly at the sight of the professor. But Lily stayed chirpy.

"Hello, Professor." Lily said, her voice silky and smooth, softening to those who listen.

"What brings you both today?"

"Well, we were going shopping for some new clothes." Severus nodded when Slughorn eyed him.

"I see, do be careful." As they started to move past the professor he spoke once more that had them turned around. "Oh and Ms. Evans, do come to my parties when the school year begins. I would love to get to know you more. You're especially a talented witch. Much talented than most I know." She giggled and blushed.

"Yes, Professor. Thank you!" And she grabbed Snape's arm and pulled him through the crowd. His sour face didn't lighten until they were on the cobble street of Diagon Alley. "I have an idea. We should get you the bag that has like a million space area inside. It's very, very small. We will go food shopping and preserve them and get you healing potions and clothes-" Snape lightened up.

"Merlin, Lily. Okay, okay. Let's go find the supplies." As they went along their day of shopping Snape couldn't help but catch himself looking at her. He couldn't help but look at the way she went through the shopping goods, organizing his new bag that can easily be hidden. He can hide his wand, food, potions, books...everything. Including his Hogwarts books. The book he's had since the first year he signed. They didn't need the Master Potion's Book until their next year but he couldn't help getting it. He even signed it, "Half-Blood Prince." He had many, many Dark Arts novels and volumes. He started to even sit and work on new spells. But his father burned all his belongings. He had limited money and knew this time, he had to buy as much as he can and keep them in this pouch. He had never known of such a pouch but now that he had one and watched Lily put a ton of food to last him two more months, pants and shirts that will last two weeks, fresh robes counted of three, and of course: his books. All his supplies, and all the books he wanted too. He had bought advanced dark arts books and potion brewing. And just reading books on spells and different facts about their upcoming courses. He smiled at her and watched the strands of hair get into her face.

He couldn't help but smile at her as all the things were packed. Vials of healing potions and Sleeping Droughts. Books, food, and clothing for both casual wear and Hogwarts Wear. He smiled. He had paid for some of the things but it was his Mother's money. Lily helped with most of the money. "I will pay you back." She looked at him and kissed his cheek.

"As long as you're safe is enough for me." She winked at him. He felt his face blush. I'm in love with her. He smiled widely as she giggled. "Come on, Sevy. Let's go back. Take a Sleeping Drought before you go back to your place. Your body needs to heal." Severus nodded.

"My father will be coming back late tonight." She smiled.

"And your mother?"

"Earlier than him but she'll be out with friends." Lily smiled.

"Then go to sleep. Let's go." They both took the floo powder and each went their own way. Snape was back in his room. He drank some Sleeping Drought potion and hid the tiny bag under his pillow as he slept. On his desk, a single, white Lily sprouted in a small glass of water. It was tilted towards the beaming sun that crept through his window. He stared at it while he fell asleep, a bit still in pain, but felt warm inside. Severus fell asleep with the thought of Lily Evans on his mind. Even though he wasn't the greatest looking guy at Hogwarts, Lily wanted him. He was the first one to show her what she was. And even though she was the only one in her family to be a witch, it didn't make her any less.

The Lily on his old, beaten up desk grew perfectly. It was magically protected. He didn't want it to die. And it never would. He perfected the preservation spell and he planned on keeping it until the end of time.

Another Story Long, Long Ago:

Bellatrix Black was an English Pure-Blood Dark witch, the eldest daughter of Cygnus and Druella Black, cousin of Regulus and Sirius Black. She is the eldest sister of Andromeda Tonks and Narcissa Malfoy. She was a member of the House of Black, an old wizarding family and one of the Sacred Twenty-Eight. Bellatrix started her education at Hogwarts and was easily sorted into Slytherin.

Bellatrix had the classic "great good looks" and arrogant bearing common for members of the House of Black: She was a tall woman of white skin; and long, thick, shiny dark hair. Her face had a strong jaw, thin lips, and heavily-lidded eyes with long eyelashes. Bellatrix was an intensely sadistic witch with brutal, violent tendencies. She possessed a fierce and dangerous temper, a trait that she shared with her cousin Sirius and her aunt Walburga and which was likely a result of the inbreeding that plagued her birth family.

Bellatrix was a very smart and talented witch. She was known to be rebellious but very courageous. She was also known for being a sadistic bully, knowing spells not most know.

"You must marry a pure-blood. You must and if not, I will, and Merlin help me, disown you for all of eternity." Bellatrix sat at her table in her bedroom. She faced the mirror and watched as her father yelled at her.

"Don't yell at me!" She yelled. She turned her head, her eyes black as coal and her features gorgeous. She was very attractive. But this wouldn't stop her father. He pointed his wand at her.

"And tell me why, you filthy daughter. Tell me why I shouldn't punish you now." She had widened eyes. She hated being tortured. But then she sneered.

"Do it." With her sisters and mother watching he casted the spell. She fell to the ground and screamed out in torture. Her blood felt like it was draining out of her body, her veins being set on fire and her skin being pulled apart. Her head felt like someone put a screw slowly through the skull. She screamed out in such agonizing pain. But when he lifted the spell she gasped out a low laugh. Spit drooled out of her mouth as she went on her hands and knees and wiped her lips. "Thank you father." She laughed menacingly. He looked at her and aimed his wand again. He casted it again and she fell back down. After what felt like years of torture he lifted the spell. She laid there, moaning in pain.

"Let this be a warning. You will do as I tell you to. You will become someone more than this...this phase of being rebellious that you seem to love. You will drop this act and become better." With that he and his wife left their room. The two sisters went over to help Bellatrix up but she whispered no. They stood back. She went back on her hands and knees. Spit drooling once more and she wiped it away again. She started laughing.

"His pain is nothing like what The Dark Lord can do." The girls looked at her. She stood up. "I am going to another meeting tonight. Care..to join me?" She said in a groan. Narcissa nodded her head. Their sister Andromeda shook her head.

"I have work at the bank." Bellatrix glared her eyes and walked up. She pushed her sister agaisnt the wall.

"Is that so? You're not going to go meet that Mudblood Tonks, are you?" Her sister turned her head away and pushed Bellatrix.

"I said I'm going to the bank." She left the room in a stomp. Bellatrix looked at her sister Narcissa.

"Are you and Malfoy coming?" Narcissa nodded.

"Yes, sissy. We are coming. I just need my cloak." Bellatrix smiled. When Narcissa left the bedroom Bellatrix looked at herself in the mirror. She rolled up her sleeves and looked at her Dark Mark. She was the youngest to receive it. She wore it proudly. She took her silver and black handled knife and cut her wrist ever so deeply but not deep enough. The blood trickled over the dark mark and she licked it. She couldn't help her obsession of Voldemort. She loved him. She was his slave and she wanted nothing more than him.

They both got ready and apparated to Riddle's Manor. Voldemort waited in a large open room. He was training his small group of followers. And Bellatrix was the most trusting servant. She had the mind already belonging to him. They sat down before they proceeded to duel. She sat beside her sister, as unlike her in looks, with her dark hair and heavily lidded eyes, as she was in bearing and demeanor; where Narcissa sat rigid and impassive, Bellatrix leaned toward Voldemort, for mere words could not demonstrate her longing for closeness.

Voldemort caressed her cheek. "Bellatrix...my dear...have you learned the Cruccciatousss ssspell yet?" And Bellatrix nodded. "Ssshow usss..." She looked around and stood up from her seat and went on top the table. They frequently used the table for dueling. "Lessstrange...go up..." And he did so. When Rodolphus Lestrange got up and readied his wand. As he tried to deflect the spell she casted it. But the thing about Bellatrix was that she was a master at wordless magic. She twisted her hips in a spin, her hair moved almost in front of her face as she deflected his spells. Then as time slowed down, the spell slowly aimed at him, moved like time slowed down. The red line of the curse pierced his chest and he fell down. She began to laugh loudly. She looked back at Voldemort who smiled. Showing his teeth as sharp. "Good...work Bellatrix...Black." In this time, she knew she was going to be the most loyal Death Eater. And she knew it was her that he was going to turn to.

Hey guys, I'm recovering this story to make it better. I will be making sure the timeline is matching with the sequence. I will also be using a lot from the books and movies to ensure the sequencing. I do NOT own anything from Harry potter. I give credit to J.K Rowling: The author of the Harry Potter universe! Leave reviews and inbox me with what you want to learn about or anything. Thanks.
