Mogami and sumire were walking to the mall
Mogami : …
Sumire : … ( god I really have nothing to talk about)
They just kept awkwardly walking alongside each other
Sumire : so uh… do you have any hobbies
Mogami : why are you talking as if it's the first time we're meeting?
Sumire : well, I don't really know what to talk about…
Mogami : I see… Well to answer your question my hobbies include drawing and playing games…
Sumire : you like games? Which ones?
Mogami : I can't play most shooters, so I like RPGs, platformers and sandbox games….. Undertale, Stardew Valley, Hollow Knight, Cuphead,House Flipper, and city skylines to name a few…
Sumire : I haven't caught up with games in a while… I don't know half of these ( well I know undertale) well if I wasn't broke I would have got the games, and I can even play good pirated games on my old laptop…
Mogami : you want to play the games ?
Sumire : well yeah…
Mogami : I mean… I've got them all… You can play at my house if you want…
Sumire : What?
Mogami : well you could borrow them too…
Sumire : ( he's just nice to everyone isn't he) I'll come to your house… but how?
Mogami : what do you mean how?
Sumire : I need to escape the monstrous amount of daily homework…
Mogami : just get a early internship then you get a month of free time…
Sumire : I mean… how am I supposed to get one? Unlike you and nishikata I'm just a normal student
Mogami : you have the get a special student to request for you, nishikata requested for takagi, so you can get him to get you an early internship at the togami corporation
Sumire : no thanks I'm not about to be a third wheel…
Mogami : Or you can become my assistant ( he said jokingly)
Sumire : thats actually not a bad idea
Mogami : I was joking, but really you think it's a good idea? You'll have to travel a lot, see corpses investigate heists…
Sumire : I can handle that…I remember the investigation of the broken Chinese vase was so much fun…
Mogami : I mean… I Can request for you… But detective work is exhausting I've overworked myself into being sick so many times I can't even count them….
Sumire : that's all the more reason to have an assistant…
Mogami : well… It might creep you out… but we have to investigate sometimes… Naked dead bodies and other stuff like that…
Sumire : I can handle that stuff ( atleast I think I can…hopefully…)
Mogami : you have been warned…
Sumire : also apparently Nishikata is gonna have his birthday next week, maybe we should get him something?
Mogami : I don't get how people even remember birthdays…
Sumire : Well Rie needed my help with his present so that's how I know… Speaking of birthdays when is yours?
Mogami : I don't like talking about my birthday…
Sumire : ( she frowned) why?
Mogami : it's on Christmas eve…
Sumire : you were born on Christmas?
Mogami : it sucks…
Sumire : it sucks?
Mogami : mostly people get a birthday gift and Christmas present…. For me everyone cheaps out and only gets me one present… It Would be fine if it's twice as good but it's always the same…
Sumire : I see…
Mogami : other than that… The one day I'm supposed to be special as if I was the star of my own show… It's overshadowed by Christmas…. I just hate my birthday and since everyone goes out on Christmas I have to spend my birthday alone…
Sumire : ( damn.. He just has the worst of it all huh…) not this year… we'll throw a party just wait…
Mogami : is that not the same as celebrating the Christmas party at my house?
Sumire : it'll be different, we can plan separate parties which will happen on the same day
Mogami : um…. It isn't really necessary…
Sumire : it will be good don't worry
EXTRA SCENE : Whispers
Amano : ……Where am I… ( he looked around….) ( I recognise.. This… Place… )
A little child lay down on the floor staring at the figures in front of him.. He wasn't able to comprehend the situation he was facing
Child : ( he just kept looking on and on as a Christmas carol played on the radio) mom … Can I open the presents now?
The child waddled to his parents
Child : Mom? ( he looked up at his mother whose face was frozen)
There were bloodstains on the finger tips of his mother's hand…
The child kept nagging his parents and asking for his presents but to his dismay his parents couldn't answer…
Child : ( he stared into the empty eyes of his mother) Mom? What's that around your neck?
The bloodstained rope was wrapped around the necks of both of his parents…
Child : Moooooom! When can I open the presents?
Everything suddenly went black and there were only sounds… Wispers… Crying… Sobbing…
Woman : I'm sorry kiddo… But you're gonna live with your uncle and aunt from now on…
Child : but what about mom and dad, I wanna see mom!! ( the child cried) they're putting them underground!!
Woman : ( she hugged the child) don't cry… They're in a better place now….
And then came a man and woman who took the child the screamed in agony as the caskets containing his parents slowly sunk deeper into the earth…
Amano : ( he jerked out of his sleep…..) What in the actual fuck…. What's with these nightmares… ( the people being burried…. They looked like mom and Dad… No...grandpa told me…. they died in a car accident along with my uncle and aunt…. These are just pointless nightmares)
Amano took a hot shower even though it was 5 in the morning…
Amano : ( he still felt goosebumps) ( it felt so...real… I… I don't have time to think about these stupid dreams…. More importantly… What am I even supposed to do with the video… I could blackmail Izumi…)
Amano decided since he was up anyway he'd take a long drive in the morning.. The school had shut down for the time being because of the festival the previous night…
Amano : ( he got on his motorcycle) ( I just need to clear my head…)
The motorcycle started with a roar and amano rode away
Chapter 15 : Love
Nishikata : so… did you get settled at the house?
Shuichi : yeah… got suika into the hospital… I feel so tired I just wanna crack open a cold one and chill out for the rest of the week…
Nishikata : didn't you quit drinking?
Shuichi : I said " I Wanna" not that I will… I called to tell you something
Nishikata : what?
Shuichi : when suika finally reaches the delivery stage I'm just gonna hit you up with a message and you'll then be incharge of Tokyo office temporarily, cause I'm not about to work when my kid is born
Nishikata : it's good that my early internship starts at around the same time as she is predicted to delivery… btw do you know the gender?
Shuichi : you're gonna get a nephew soon enough…
Nishikata : I'm so God damn excited… I just wanted to ask something…
Shuichi : yeah?
Nishikata : do you know Governor Tanaka?
Shuichi : well…. yeah I do, I've had quite a few meetings with him and even got invited to the celebrations of his daughter's birthday, but why you ask?
Nishikata : no it's nothing… ( Izumi's power comes from her father so if I was able to talk to her dad then maybe…) so how's everything else going?
Shuichi : (he wasn't convinced but didn't say anything) well I've spent the past week shopping with suika for the baby… I'm not sure how I'm not insane by this point…
Nishikata : (he laughed)
After talking for some more shuichi hanged up and cooked the breakfast for both of them who was starting to load up the screen
Takagi : cuphead again?
Nishikata : even though we rage quit because of the earthquake, I still wanna complete the game…
Nishikata : ( he handed her the plate) so what does the masterchef think?
Takagi : ( she tasted the food) you're getting better everyday yuki…
Nishikata : well I do have a good teacher
Takagi : ( petting lexi) kittens really grow fast huh? When was first here lexi could fit in my hand now have to hold her with both…
Lexi purred and then disappeared into the hallway..
Takagi : I wish I was a cat sometimes… Sleeping all day and getting cuddles sounds great
Nishikata : ( he gave her a head pat) there like it?
Takagi : … what?
Nishikata : Don't you dare get angry, you pulled this exact joke on me when I moved here…
Takagi : you remember the most random things sometimes yuki.
Nishikata : I know…. ( he kissed her on the neck)
Takagi : ( after a small makeout session was over) you are becoming a lot more forward… I Like that…
Nishikata : I'm just practicing to increase my bravery…
Takagi : bravery?
Nishikata : well I promised someone something on her birthday and frankly I think I'll chicken out so I'm preparing myself…
Takagi : (I was a bit worried about him chickening out but I don't have a reason to worry now) let's see...your birthday, then Christmas then my birthday, so I guess I still have to wait huh, I have given up of trying before you are ready but… ( she got close and whispered into his ear) ~ if you ever feel like we're still here before my birthday~
Nishikata : … I really doubt that…
Takagi : I'm just letting you know the options…
Nishikata : don't you think it's funny, you don't like underage drinking but you're fine with underage sex
Takagi : it's just like you're fine with underage drinking but not underage sex (well underage drinking isn't as serious as that but..)
Nishikata : Touche' so does that mean I'll actually get to drink without you stopping me when I'm 18?
Takagi : don't get ahead of yourself yuki
Nishikata : also how long are you gonna sit on my lap for?
Takagi : what if I don't wanna get up?
Nishikata : well we're playing cuphead so I guess we'll have to sit like this huh?
Takagi : it's almost become a tradition huh? me being on your lap while playing
Nishikata : ( loading the game) I guess it has… maybe we should play more games…
Takagi : I'm not against that… ( getting her controller) I'm still not as good as you huh?
Nishikata : well I couldn't play for almost a year so I'd say we're on equal footing…
Takagi : you think we should also have fun outside, like when we had a tennis match on shuichi-san's wedding?
Nishikata : doesn't sound bad to me…
Takagi : its good that your internship is between Christmas and your birthday…. I didn't wanna miss that…
Nishikata : Speaking of do you have enough money collected now?
Takagi : why do you ask?
Nishikata : I mean if it's not enough I'll pitch in
Takagi : you're so sweet, but I'm not about to make you pay for your own gift
They started playing, and a few hours of rage later
Nishikata : god…. I think we'd better switch the games or else…
Takagi : I think I'll take a shower first… wanna come with me?
Nishikata : stop joking Takagi
Takagi : ( chuckle) but I don't wanna leave you…
Nishikata : you're being awfully childish today
Takagi : I can do that sometimes
Nishikata : Hmmm..
Takagi : atleast carry me to the bathroom…
Nishikata : want me to give you a shower while I'm at that? ( sarcastic)
Takagi : what's with your attitude today?
Nishikata : didn't get much sleep yesterday…
Takagi : I see… but I really just wanted to carried ( while she was talking her earing got loose and fell off) oh..
Nishikata : wait I'll get it
Nishikata bended in order to search for the earing on the floor
Nishikata : ( Takagi was only wearing white shorts and while bending he was almost faceplanting into her thighs) ( …… I Really might have a thing for thighs….) ( he blushed for sometime and then found the earing)
While getting back up takagi accidentally pushed him and made him drop the earing again, this time it landed between her thighs
Nishikata : ( ok now either God loves her way too much or she planned this) ( he tried to fish out the earing)
Takagi : ( she felt his touch around her legs and froze) ( to think a simple earing would get us farther than when I'm actually trying…)
After successfully getting the ring back to her
Nishikata : ( that was… Interesting…)
Takagi : ( she quitely got up) I guess I'll just go shower
Nishikata : I'll just play a single player game till you're back..
A few eternities later
Takagi : I'm back ( she said with a towel around her neck, she was wearing a simple pink t-shirt…)
Nishikata : I guess back to multiplayer it is…
Takagi : ( she got settled right in his lap)
Nishikata : again?
Takagi : you mind?
Nishikata : I mean… it's fine I guess…. (... I can smell it…. I think it's shampoo… It's smells nice…)
Takagi : let's continue!
After a few more hours it was 12 in the afternoon..
Nishikata : I'll just go and get the groceries for the week…
Takagi : I'll start cooking the lunch till then… ( we really are acting like a married couple huh… I love this…) ( she blushed while starting to make some lunch)
Nishikata : ( while he was outside getting his groceries he suddenly got a phone call) hello?
Izumi : ~missed me yuki?~
Nishikata : ( Izumi….) how the fuck did you get this number
Izumi : does that matter
Nishikata : yes it fucking does
Izumi : I need to ask you something
Nishikata : no thanks ( he hanged up)
But suddenly he felt a pair of hands hugging him from behind
Izumi : why'd you hang up on me?
Nishikata : what part of leave me the fuck alone did you not understand?
As he was talking she pulled him into an alley
Izumi : why do you hate me so much?
Nishikata : you already know the answer so just fuck off
Izumi : now, now, ( she whispered) we can have some fun later if you cooperate now… ( She put her finger on his chest and he was silenced) see? wasn't so difficult was it?
Nishikata : ( not this time….) get off me you bitch-
Izumi : did you receive a text or video from from an unknown number?
Nishikata : what
Izumi : ~I said did you receive a text or a video from an unknown number darling~
Nishikata : no I didn't
Izumi : ( she got really close so close that he could feel her entire body) it your answer still the same?
Nishikata : I SAID NO I DIDN'T!! ( he pushed her away)
Izumi : well… That's nice to know….. ~Seeya later yuki~
This whole interaction had taken place in less than 2 minutes
Nishikata : ( he was confused about what she was doing or why but his head didn't give any useful information about her…) ( fuck it she's the last thing that needs to be on my mind right now…)
After getting the groceries he went back home and takagi noticed his tensed face
Takagi : what happened?
Nishikata : Izumi….
Takagi : oh my god yuki she didn't do anything right? Please tell me…
Nishikata : she couldn't do much… thankfully…
Takagi : forget about that bitch, ( I still need to find a way to get my revenge against that bitch but…. There's nothing I can do…..)
Nishikata : ( he placed the groceries in the fridge) I feel so tired all of a sudden…
Takagi : you should take a rest yuki… you have been working a lot with your laptop…. you also didn't get much sleep right?
Nishikata : yeah…
After they were done eating lunch Takagi pulled him onto the couch
Takagi : come here..
Nishikata : what?
Takagi : Sleep… ( she tugged him along until he was laying down on the couch with his head in her lap)
Nishikata : right here?
Takagi : why not?
Nishikata : I mean…. Ok….
Takagi : ( she ruffled through his hair while switching on the tv) ~good night honey~
Nishikata : ZzZz….
Takagi : he actually fell asleep in like 8 seconds…. ( she chuckled and watched a movie on the tv)
