"This is the place where the war is happening... To think that you would be brought back to it. Is it not shocking?"
A man asked the other as they sat upon an open terrace, his sharp features glancing at the man before him, though his orange or rosy like hair blocked his eyes as he ate, listening to the tune of a magical girl show.
"Hm. No. In fact, this is as expected if anything."
Though his gaze would cease to be fixed on the screen by his plate. The show coming to an end as he put his phone away. His bright green eyes gazing to the man who spoke to him.
"The culprit... Avenger is still out there. Even if the official documents state that all servants died, it would not explain how the greater grail was stolen. Yet not recovered after the defeat of the nazi. You already know that they are the only ones who could do so and thus if they did not, a servant is the only plausible reason. And since I can feel her connection, that is what I assume, that she is still alive and that it isn't the result of a third unknown party."
The man on the other side of the table smiled at him. Clapping his hands as he ignored as his somewhat long hair waved about due to his motion.
"Bravo Romani Acharman. Your starting to read my mind."
"Honestly... Understanding humans is easier than you. You can just toy with my abilities by changing to match what you want me to think."
"You rate me to highly. Others could do the same to you."
"But as you are the only one here and the only one who dares do so, but let me ask, am I allowed to know what is coming or not, Altan?"
And so, he stopped clapping. Adjusting himself on the seat before drinking his coffee.
"No. I have answered you once before and I shall not do so now. My influence on your actions are meant to be limited after all."
"Are you done with your meals yet? You have a case to take care of."
Romani sighed as he pushed his chair back. Taking disappointment that he couldn't finish his morning meal after arriving here first thing from his flight.
He could not ignore the woman next to him.
"You're right Hishiri. Sorry that my appetite couldn't be kept under control."
Of course, it was none other than a member of the clock tower policies. His superior in this situation.
"Well... At least we have a view of the destruction that came after our landing."
Her eyes glanced on over to the side, a massive gaping hole giving view to the rubbles of a once incredible building... It gave clear view of the destruction that unfolded and the massive cuts along the ground that only a massive blade could have done.
"That was the doing of a servant no doubt. Thankfully, the church was quick to cover this up as a terrorist attack. With how many time Gestalt has been attacked openly it wouldn't be hard to believe."
Hishiri gave a short resume of what she had learned and her previous assumption. No mage could do such damage after all. To think that a mage was responsible for this, or even a fraction seemed foolish.
"We would need to wait for the church to make a full list of those in the war... We only know of 4 so far."
Roman further added. Remembering the names of Gestalt, Matou, and 2 strung along who simply intent to let their servants do as they pleased...
"In any case, we are here under the case of finding the 'satanic mage killer'. The current second owner has even made a mention of her stolen dog and the previous second owner though that seemed related to the current war and a servant's position against her."
Hishiri continued, bringing the subject back to their true purpose.
"Research has shown that Gestalt and several companies, individual and banks have had money moved about and lost. So, it appears that the satanic mage killer was after money and the dead mages was a mean for him to gain whatever is helping him steal all that money."
Altan joined the conversation, nod giving them free information but simply information that could be gained naturally.
"It's a servant. And one related to a demonic entity."
Romani stated his belief. With neither of the individuals at the table stating otherwise due to the timing... Conversely.
"Avenger is related to such a thing as well based on how you explained him... Isn't there a chance she is the one behind this?"
Hishiri proposed a culprit. Albeit all too likely for the reason Romani gave. And it needed to be if not he would surely get an earful.
"There's no way for avenger to make such a clumsy mistake. Avenger has taken care of the holy grail without anyone knowing and has set it up here. It would make no sense as to why or how they would do this and reveal themselves to everyone... The more likely event is that avenger guided the individual behind it to perform the killing."
He could not go after avenger without knowing where they were or abandoning his current duty... That was after all why he was still here and even why Hishikiri would ask such a question.
"Then I suppose we will simply be searching for servant's or master. Since the second owner neither knows who could have done it or why, assume that anyone with above normal magic circuits could be behind this."
Thus, Hishikiri would move things along. Stating that the culprit was most likely to have the magic circuits that normal magus did not was technically, an assumption. However, the lack of magic circuits on a corpse would signify that they were taken. There was a chance that they were used or transported within another body to avoid having more prana and alarm the polices. Though that was unlikely considering the 'cost' their background manoeuvres would have cost normally. After all, if they could do it themselves, they would have done it sooner and much slower to give the impression of natural deaths. Thus, this case was only related to the cost the servant would have... Prana. Killing the other prana supplies to gain it all and assure their position was naturally the better choice.
"Then I suppose we can go around and eat some food~"
Altan was quick to ruin her mood however as she could tell, he would be able to easily solve this case if he ever got serious.
"I gave you an allowance and you have your pay. You know how much you can and can't spend I hope."
"We... Won't go asking you money again."
Though Hishikiri could not help but remind them of their... Overspending that forced her to work harder for a while.
