STEVEThat's not the point.TONYThat is the point. That's Loki's point. He hit us all right where we live. Why?
'To tear you apart,' Loki thought, frowning slightly, 'That was the plan from the beginning.'
STEVETo tear us apart.Loki blinked slightly and rubbed his head with a sigh of agitation. Honestly, he should have gotten used to this by now.TONYHe had to conquer his greed, but he knows he has to take us out to win, right? That's what he wants. He wants to beat us and he wants to be seen doing it. He wants an audience.
Tyr's eyes widened slightly as he leaned to the edge of his seat, replaying the words in his mind. 'That's it!' Tyr thought excitedly, 'We knew that Loki was being mind-controlled but we never factored in the slight chance that he might have some control over his actions!' He felt quite giddy thinking about it.
All the future possibilities (and possible countermeasures) they could benefit from were practically limitless at this point.
STEVERight, I caught his act at Stuttengard.TONYYeah. That's just a preview, this is opening night. Loki's a full-tilt diva. He wants flowers, he wants parades, he wants a monument built in the skies with his name plastered…
Thor looked at Loki knowingly, watching in amusement as the younger Asgardian coughed in embarrassment and looked away. [1]
(PAUSE)Sonofabitch!EXT. STARK TOWER DAYSelvig works around the CMS device that has already been set- upon the rooftop of Tony's tower.INT. HELICARRIER MEDICAL ROOM DAYSteve walks in full uniform. Natasha looks at him, unprepared.STEVETime to go.NATASHAGo where?STEVE I'll tell you on the way. Can you fly one of those jets?Barton walks out of the restroom. Looks at Cap.CLINT BARTONI can.Steve looks at Natasha and she nods her head to confirm Barton's on their side.STEVEYou got a suit?CLINT BARTONYeah.STEVEThen suit up.MONTAGE- KRAKAKABOOM! A blinding BOLT OF LIGHTNING strikes down from above, colliding on MJÖLNIR. The explosion is massive. THE MIGHTY THOR.
"How dramatic," Loki muttered, looking vaguely amused.
Thor snorted and leaned towards his brother, "You hardly have any place to speak brother." He murmured in return.
Loki blinked (not expecting Thor to talk to him after everything they've seen) and then scowled when he realized that he didn't have a comeback. Stupid Thor!
- CAPTAIN AMERICA pulls on his HELMET and SHIELD.- Tony WELDS his IRON MAN helmet. LIGHT slips down over IRON MAN's eye holes.- BLACK WIDOW attaches a GLOVE GAUNTLET with her rounds on her wrist. A BLUE LIGHT CHARGES. - HAWKEYE slips on his QUIVER of arrows.EXT/INT. QUINJET DAYCap, Widow, and Hawkeye walk towards and into the QUINJET. A YOUNG SHIELD PILOT looks and stands in their way.YOUNG SHIELD PILOTYou are not authorized to be here...CAPTAIN AMERICASon... just don't.INT. HELICARRIER BRIDGE DAYFury looks the window of the ship, contemplating. Agent Hill walks up to him, knowing.AGENT MARIA HILLSir.NICK FURYAgent Hill?AGENT MARIA HILLThose cards, they were in Coulson's locker, not in his jacket.
Loki took a sharp intake of breath while everyone else looked at the screen in confusion. What did that mean?
NICK FURYThey needed the push.
"Brother?" Thor asked in concern.
Loki pursed his lips and shook his head. Phil Coulson wasn't dead, yet they saw him die. What was the purpose of showing them his supposed death when only the so-called 'Avengers' needed the push? [2]
Thor frowned at his brother but disregarded the matter in favor of looking at the screen. Now was not the time to be demanding answers from his brother. Not when things were starting to get more tense on-screen.
(holding Coulson's cards)A LOUD NOISE SCREECHES. Fury looks out to see IRON MAN flying off as well as the QUINJET.NICK FURYThey found it. Get our communications back up, whatever you have to do. I want eyes on everything.AGENT MARIA HILLYes, sir.EXT. NEW YORK CITY SKYLINE - STARK TOWER DAYIRON MAN arrives at STARK TOWER where Selvig, ACTIVATES the CMS device, holding the Tesseract.JARVISSir, I took off the arc reactor. The device is already self-sustained.TONYShut it down, Dr. Selvig.SELVIGIt's too late! It can't stop now. He wants to show us something! A new universe.IRON MANOkay.IRON MAN aims his hands toward the CMS and FIRES. The energy from his boosters SHATTERS with a deafening CRACK! Selvig falls backward. DOWN BELOW, CITIZENS OF NEW YORK look up at STARK TOWER. IRON MAN stares in disbelief at the CMS ... unharmed.
Loki sighed heavily and leaned back on his seat. Shielding (Warding) Spells were one of the most difficult spells an individual could cast if only because of the massive amounts of energy and latent magical prowess it leeches off the sorcerer/sorceress.
He could practically feel the magical exhaustion a shield of the same caliber as the one on-screen would cause.
JARVISThe barrier is pure energy. It's unbreachable. The Mark VII is not ready to be deployed.TONYSkip the spinning rims. We're on the clock.TONY lands his SUIT and goes through the gauntlet and unsuits him. LOKI looks up at him, smiling. They proceed to walk into the penthouse.INT. STARK PENTHOUSE DAYLoki walks in, holding the scepter. Tony casually walks down the steps, towards the bar.
JH suddenly squealed. It was so abrupt, that everyone jumped in their seats and began trying to shift into defensive positions.
The end result was something completely different as you might imagine.
"WHAT WAS THAT FOR!?" Sif yelled as she tried to calm her racing heart. Many warriors, apparently, shared her sentiment because almost everyone was glaring at the ceiling with indignation (and no small amount of embarrassment).
JH simply laughed, "Sorry, I was just getting too excited and into the movie," She explained cheerfully (and frighteningly politely considering it was SIF who yelled at the ceiling), and oddly enough, some rustling sounds were heard all around room (it sounded as though someone was shifting on a bed) "Also, the two reigning kings of sass and sarcasm are gonna have a showdown! You should be more excited than that!"
A warrior in the crowd frowned in confusion, along with other warriors, as he tried to process certain parts of JH's speech, "Sar-cah-sem? What's that?"
A long moment of silence gripped the room (as everyone turned to stare at the daft warrior in disbelief) before JH burst into boisterous laughter.
"Oh my- Oh my- I- I- PFFFF- AHAHAHAHA!" Was all they heard from JH before her presence receded and the movie resumed.
LOKIPlease tell me you're going to appeal to my humanity.TONYUh...actually, I'm planning to threaten you.
"Oh no," Sif groaned under her breath, "It's like there are two copies of him in the room!"
Fandral snickered lightly, "You must really hate Loki if you can't even stand the first two seconds of his verbal showdown with the mortal."
Sif frowned, "I don't hate Loki, Fandral," She argued indignantly, wrinkling her nose in distaste at the word.
Fandral snorted, "Could've fooled me. Admit it, Sif, you can't stand the mere mention of him, and what more could that mean other than hate?"
Sif glowered, "That means that I heavily dislike him, Fandral," She turned to her fellow warrior with a dark glare on her face, "Hate, after all, is a very strong word."
Fandral shrugged but went silent at the warning in her tone. He didn't fancy getting decapitated today, thank you very much.
LOKIYou should have left your armor on for that.TONYYeah, it's seen a bit of mileage. You've got the blue stick of destiny. Would you like a drink?
Loki suddenly hissed under his breath, but before he could launch into a tirade about how 'It is not a stick you stupid, uneducated Mortal!', he felt a large, calloused hand close around his mouth.
"Don't. Start." Thor deadpanned in exasperation.
Loki glared at him, "Iph voo vhaph Ai vantt" He said, his voice muffled. [3]
"I know Loki," Thor countered, rolling his eyes, "However, now is not the time."
Loki blinked at the sudden burst of insight Thor was showing. Internally, the Silvertongue recognized that, indeed, now was not the time. However, he also wanted to delay the ending of this movie as much as possible, if only because he had a bad feeling about what they were going to be shown.
Still, that didn't mean that Thor could order him around.
Loki huffed in irritation and glared more at Thor, "Lepph be goph"
Thor grinned, "No." He snickered slightly as Loki narrowed his eyes, "Licking my hand won't do anything either brother, I've grown immune to this by now."
Loki hissed, muffled as it was, but was disregarded in favor of watching the movie, which happened to have been paused during the brothers' brief squabble, much to the other warriors' dismay.
Frigga and Odin shared a quick look before casting their gazes back at the screen. Nothing needed to be said.
LOKIStalling me won't change anything.TONYNo, no, no! Threatening. No drink? You sure? I'm having one.
Thor blinked, "I'm not sure having you two in the same room is good for anyone's health."
("IT SURE IS GOOD FOR MINE!" Cried JH from her place in the ceiling but was ignored)
Loki glared at him, but couldn't respond.
LOKIThe CHITAURI are coming, nothing will change that. What have I to fear?TONY
THE AVENGERS.(Loki looks at him, confused)It's what we call ourselves, sort of like a team. EARTH'S MIGHTIEST HEROES' type of thing.LOKIYes, I've met them.TONY(SMILING)Yeah, takes us a while to get any traction, I'll give you that one.
Loki blinked at the understanding the mortal showed.
Thor leaned in, "He read you like an open book brother," He stage-whispered, ignoring Loki's 'no-shit-sherlock' look, "I don't think it bears repeating but you and that mortal are incredibly similar. Do you think our parents had another child without our knowing?"
Loki blinked at the absurdity of that statement and stared at Thor in disbelief.
Thor snickered slightly as Loki cast him a look that blatantly said, 'Are you stupid or brain dead?'. Of course, the thought itself was more than absurd which is why he suggested it. Irritating Loki was, after all, quite the entertaining sport.
Frigga coughed lightly into her hand, having heard her eldest's words, and carefully avoided looking at Odin's face.
Oh if only they knew.
TONY (CONT'D)But, let's do a headcount here. Your brother, the demi-God; a super soldier, a living legend who kind of lives up to the legend; a man with breath-taking anger management issues; a couple of master assassins, and you, big fella, you've managed to piss off every single one of them.LOKIThat was the plan.
Tyr's eyes widened, "Wait! Could we stop the scene?"
The scene paused as every eye in the room turned to Tyr.
"Well?" Odin prompted, "What is it Tyr?"
Tyr swallowed slightly, slightly intimidated by his King's intense gaze, "We know that Loki is being controlled by the Tesseract, however, did we ever factor in the slight possibility that he had some control over his actions?"
Odin's eye widened slightly, obviously having not thought of the possibility, and Frigga covered her mouth as a slight cacophony of noise erupted in the room.
Thor slowly took his hand off of Loki's mouth and looked at his little brother with furrowed brows, "Loki," He started slowly, "Did you know of this?"
Loki remained silent for a moment before he answered, carefully not looking into his older brother's eyes, "I had a slight suspicion," He said lowly, "However… Future me's actions were too unlike my own that I disregarded the thought entirely."
Thor rubbed his face and nodded tiredly. Well, this complicates things.
"That is… true," Odin's voice stated clearly from Thor's right, and the young prince was slightly startled to see his father standing up to address the whole room, "We never did factor this in. However, I do wonder how much of Loki's actions were his own." He turned his head towards the ceiling at the last bit and Thor spotted his brother flinch slightly.
"Hm," JH started lazily, "Well, nothing was really confirmed where I'm at but I can confidently say that most of Loki's actions were due to compulsions planted by the scepter-"
"The scepter?" Interrupted Volstag, looking confused.
"I'll explain later," JH sighed, "Anyway, Thanos made sure to wrap Loki around his little finger as tightly as he could while still giving him enough freedom to act. That was the Titan's greatest downfall at the time."
Odin raised an eyebrow, "How so?"
"Weeeellll," JH drawled, "Loki is not known as the best sorcerer in the nine realms for nothing. After all, if Thanos had restricted Loki's thought process to the point where he was nothing more than an acting puppet, then he wouldn't be able to utilize the great amount of raw magical and intellectual prowess that Loki possesses. As it is, he underestimated how much your youngest son hates being controlled."
Thor quirked a small smile at that and glanced at his (now) indifferent younger brother. That sounded like Loki.
"And? How was that his downfall?" Hogan asked quietly.
JH sighed, "Well, since nothing gets revealed later on I guess it wouldn't hurt…. Okay. Well, ummm. My personal theory is that the scepter twisted Loki's thought process to the point where it actually started planting compulsions. Things like hatred and an obsessive need for rule and recognition. I mean, it's sort of crazy how powerful this thing is and Thanos knew it-"
"Will you please get to the point?" Muttered Tyr irritably.
"...Thanos gave Loki free reign to capture the Earth however he wants while allowing the scepter to twist him beyond the point of sensibility and rationality, which still counts as mind control by the way don't try to invalidate that core point but anyway, Loki, making good use of the freedom given to him, made sure to garner the attention of anyone who might interfere by being very showy. You can basically say that Loki was screaming, "I'M ENSLAVING THE MORTALS, COME AND ARREST ME!" To the world very loudly while still being under control!" JH summarized excitedly. [4]
JH went silent for a moment before continuing, "Or so I think. The main point is that Loki was strong enough to resist some of the compulsions to obey and remain loyal to Thanos, which is very impressive, long enough to gather help for the Earth!"
Everyone went silent at that, all of them thinking about the implications, as JH's presence receded.
TONYNot a great plan. When they come, and they will, they'll come for you.From underneath the bar table, Tony pulls on COLANTOTTE BRACELETS, a honing device.LOKII have an army.TONYWe have a HULK.
Loki frowned at that statement. He felt it might be of importance later on...
LOKII thought the beast had wandered off.TONYYou're missing the point. There's no throne, there is no version of this, where you come out on top. Maybe your army comes and maybe it's too much for us, but it's all on you. Because if we can't protect the Earth, you can be damned well sure we'll avenge it.
JH coughed loudly and muttered something that sounded like 'Foreshadowing' before coughing loudly once more.[5]
Some people cast the ceiling weird looks before internally shrugging and focusing on the screen. They were long used to JH and her weirdness by now.
LOKI(slowly walks up to him; raising the scepter)How will your friends have time for me,when they're so busy fighting you?Loki TAPS Tony on the chest with his scepter. PING! Nothing.Confused, Loki tires again. PING! NOTHING.LOKIIt usually works.
Thor snorted at the slightly comedic moment and the confusion on his brother's face. Of course, Thor was curious for as to why it didn't work as well but not as much as his brother surely is.
TONYWell, performance issues. Not uncommon, 1 out of 5.In anger, Loki GRABS Tony by the throat and FLINGS him across the room.TONYJarvis. Anytime now.Loki grabs Tony by the throat again.LOKIYou will all fall before me.
Loki wrinkled his nose at the single-minded repetitiveness of that sentence. [6]
LOKI THROWS TONY OUT THE WINDOW. Tony FREEFALLS down the tower.From behind Loki, an elevator opens and a RED POD SHOOTS out. The pod LASER SIGNALS the COLANTOTTE BRACELETS on Tony. The POD begins to TRANSFORM into the MARK VII suit. It LATCHES onto Tony. IRON MAN. The suit FLIES up before he hitsthe ground or the gazing people. Loki looks up, angry.
"Woah!"
"Did you see that?!"
"He really is a sorcerer!"
Even Odin had to admit, this mortal's impressive efficiency was, well…
Quite impressive.IRON MANAnd there's one other person you pissed off! His name was Phil.Loki raises the scepter. IRON MAN FIRES at Loki, sending him on his ass.
Loki hissed in irritation and pain, the blaster hit proving to be quite stronger than how he thought it would be. Thor glanced at him but didn't make a move to comfort him. Loki was (internally, of course) grateful.
He despised being viewed as weak.
EXT. STARK TOWER DAYSelvig looks up at the sky. The Tesseract's energy BEAMS into the sky. The beam then forms a VORTEX, which then opens up ANOTHER PORTAL.EXT. VASTNESS OF SPACEA hole in space rips open, and from it, the CHITAURI ARMY SPILLS out in FLYING CHARIOTS, carrying ENERGY RIFLES with a bayonet on the end.
The Asgardians gaped at the massiveness of the Chitauri army. Why, there must be more than a hundred thousand men in this formation!
"W-we're supposed to beat that?!" A warrior exclaimed in shock.
Never had they ever faced such a huge amount of opponents. Never. Maybe their ancestors but not them.
JH scoffed, "Of course not!" She exclaimed, "You AND Midgard have to beat that and way, way, way, way, way, way, way more!"
The warrior paled.
Tyr wrinkled his nose. Much as he wanted to judge the warriors, he fully realized that his army never actually had a threat as imminent or as huge as the one on screen. Even he had to admit, the army looked quite intimidating.
INSIDE THE SUITTONYRight. Army.
"More like a battalion of 10 dozen legions," Loki mumbled.
Thor blinked, "You counted?!"
IRON MAN flies up towards the portal. From his shoulders, a miniature multiple rocket launcher, pops out and FIRES. Like the JERICHO MISSILE, several targets are taken down unlike no missile. It's useless. THOUSANDS OF CHITAURI FLY OUT. IRON MAN flies towards the city.EXT. MANHATTAN DAYThe CHITAURI UNLEASH. New Yorkers fill the streets, staring at the fire fight in the distance. BOOM!!! The CHITAURI unleashes BLASTS as it goes, blowing up cars, setting storefronts aflame.
"To my knowledge, when you see a battle taking place in the middle of the city square you don't rush into the city square."
"Brother shut up."
AN EXPLOSION RIPS OUT THE WINDOWS OF THE TOP CORNER OF BUILDINGS. FLAME AND STONE RAIN DOWN. A DOMINO-EFFECT OF EXPLOSIONS RIPPLING ACROSS THE BRIDGE.EXT. STARK TOWER DAYLoki walks onto the balcony as the SOUNDS of the CHITAURI rings out. He admires his soon to be kingdom. THOR LANDS ON THE TOWER. Loki turns to his ENEMY.THORLoki! Turn off the Tesseract or I'll destroy it!
Loki snorted loudly (covering his mouth as laughter threatened to overtake him) as Frigga covered her face and Odin sighed in disappointment.
Thor stared at his family in confusion before Loki, in the most condescending tone he EVER heard him (or anyone) use, elaborated, "Thor…" The younger Asgardian drawled in a mocking manner, "You can't just destroy an infinity stone."
Thor stared at his brother, feeling like an ignorant child, "Why is that?"
This time Loki couldn't stop the bark of laughter that escaped and, before he knew it, he was shaking uncontrollably with the force of his snickers.
Thor stared at his brother in dumbfounded silence as Frigga took over explaining, "Son, only an infinity stone can destroy another infinity stone and even then, it takes a huge amount of energy and inflicts damage on the user beyond belief," She stated calmly, "Not that anyone managed to accomplish such a feat, simply wielding one stone without the proper equipment turns your body to dust in less than a moment after all." She added, looking quite thoughtful.
"Oh…" Thor mumbled as Loki finally regained his composure.
LOKIYou can't. There is no stopping it. There is only the war!
Loki blinked, "I'm not sure how to feel about this."
Thor snorted, "That's you everyday brother, don't try to deny it,"
Loki rolled his eyes, "I'm not that transparent Thor."
"Oh yeah? Well in the future you are."
"That's not me and you know it,"
"Don't try to use that excuse with me brother."
"It is not an excuse you buffoon!"
"Yes it is."
"No it's not!"
"Yes. It is!"
"No! It is not!"
"BOYS!" Frigga yelled.
Loki and Thor jolted in their seat and looked at their mother, who was staring at them, looking unimpressed.
"Behave." The woman said mildly.
The brothers gulped, "Yes ma'am." They mumbled.
The warriors sighed in relief as the movie resumed. Finally.
THORSo be it.Loki and Thor rush at each other. They and their weapons collide. The two battle -- Loki unleashing another pent-up rage and jealousy, Thor having no choice but to defend himself.EXT. MANHATTAN DAYSOLDIERS AND COPS have taken positions covering the streets. They see from the sky, IRON MAN leading a trail of CHITAURI towards his tower.EXT. SKY DAYThe QUINJET BOOMS into the city.BLACK WIDOW (V.O.)Stark, we're heading north east.INSIDE THE SUITIRON MANWhat, did you stop for drive-thru?Swing up PARK, I'm gonna lay 'em out for you.EXT. STARK TOWER DAYIRON MAN BANKS around his tower. Sees Thor and Loki still going at it. IRON MAN SWOOPS down the street, causing a CHITAURI to crash.Flying up, IRON MAN puts the following CHITAURI in view of the QUINJET. BLACK WIDOW takes out machine gun and FIRES at the CHITAURI.
"For mortals, their machinery is quite effective against those Chitauri." A warrior mumbled to his friend.
"I know right? It's strange."
"Indeed, indeed."
INSIDE THE SUITJARVISSir, we have more incoming.TONYFine. Let's keep them occupied.IRON MAN heads back to the portal.EXT. STARK TOWER DAYThor and Loki battle savagely. Loki fires ENERGY from the scepter, sending Thor sliding across the floor.
Loki wrinkled his nose ignoring the way his face ached and abdomen screamed in agony, "That fighting style is so inefficient and showy." He muttered in disgusted irritation.
Thor nodded in agreement (slightly wincing from the uncomfortable feeling of glass biting into his skin) looking strangely creeped out, "It doesn't suit you." He mumbled back, as he tried to find a more comfortable position on the couch.
INT. QUINJET DAYHAWKEYE looks out to his left window, finding a target.HAWKEYEYeah.BLACK WIDOWSee them.HAWKEYE BANKS the jet towards STARK TOWER. Aims the MINIGUN at Loki. Loki AIMS the scepter at the QUINJET and FIRES A BLAST OF ENERGY. Thor gets to his feet, TACKLING Loki down hard. THE QUINJET is soon caught on fire. HAWKEYE maneuvers one wing of the jet. They SPIN and SLOW. DROPPING OUT OF THE AIR AS IT PASSES OVER SKYSCRAPERS. Then... they SLAM into the street.INT. QUINJET DAYWith everyone okay, HAWKEYE and BLACK WIDOW unfasten their seatbelts and open the ramp.
"How did they survive that?!?" Fandral exclaimed gaping at the screen in shock.
"Don't ask me, I'm in the dark just as much as you are." Volstagg snapped, his face pale and his lips pursed so tightly they were white.
What was wrong with those mortals?!?
CAPTAIN AMERICA runs down, followed by HAWKEYE and BLACK WIDOW. Each one has their respected weapons in hand.
EXT. FOUR-WAY STREET DAYThe TRIO arrives in the middle of a four-way street. Suddenly, the city LURCHES to a stop. A DEEP, PRIMAL RAGE BELLOWS OUT.With that roar, a SHADOW comes over them.EXT. VASTNESS OF SPACEFrom the portal, a FUCKING CHITAURI LEVIATHAN FLIES OUT! Carrying hundreds of SOLDIERS, the CHITAURI LEVIATHAN PASSES OVER the TRIO.Everyone gaped in horror but didn't have time for much reaction as the movie continuedEXT. BRIDGE STREET DAYThey look up, out of their element. From both sides, CHITAURI SOLDIERS CLING OFF and attach themselves to the sides of the buildings, sliding down. Some CRASH into these buildings and begin FIRING from their ENERGY RIFLES at innocent people.CAPTAIN AMERICAStark, are you seeing this?INSIDE THE SUITTONYI'm seeing, still working on believing. Where's Banner? Has he shown up yet?CAPTAIN AMERICA (V.O.)Banner?TONYJust keep me posted. Jarvis, find me a soft spot.IRON MAN quietly flies behind and parallel with the CHITAURI LEVIATHAN.EXT. STARK TOWER DAYThor holds down Loki's face straight ahead, forcing him to watch the city falling to ash.
Loki grimaced at the pressure on his face along with the various aches all around his body. This pain factor was no joke, he could feel the months old soreness in his body multiply dramatically as he fought and aggravated the injuries.
It was as if he was actually there fighting with them.
Thor winced in a similar manner. This battle was incredibly brutal if the pain he was feeling was any indicator.
Still though, it was nothing as warrior can't take.
THORLook at this! Look around you! You think this madness will end with your rule?LOKI(tries to look away)It's too late. It's too late to stop it.
"Wait, what-"
"Did he free Prince Loki from the control?"
"Are they going to fight together now?!"
And similar other hopeful speculations flew around the room. Everyone beamed with hope at the screen. Finally their princes will unite together to defeat this certain evil!
Loki squinted at the scene, 'Did Thor hit my head hard enough that he broke me from the control of the Tesseract? Or is it something else?' He thought with a frown.
Meanwhile, Thor was looking at the screen with hope in his eyes. Will his brother finally be freed from the wretched control of the Titan? Or was it something else?
THORNo. We can. Together.Loki looks at his brother, showing a sign of hope. Then... Loki stabs Thor with a small knife. Thor keels over.
Thor yelped loudly at the sudden stab of pain in his side and Loki blinked.
"Ah I see. So it was a ruse-"
"DAMNIT LOKI STOP DOING THAT!"
"I do what I want Thor!"
Everyone else deflated. So much for that.
LOKISentiment.Thor gets up, KICKS Loki and lifts him into the air. Thor then SLAMS him down, hard.
Now it was Loki's turn to yelp loudly in pain. Thor grinned triumphantly.
"Serves you right!" He crowed happily.
"I did not even stab you yet!" Loki hissed as he rubbed his aching abdomen.
"You didn't feel remorseful about it did you?" Thor shot back.
The silence that followed was answer enough.
Loki, bleeding, rolls over the edge. Thor looks down. LOKI IS RIDING ON A FLYING CHARIOT. DOZENS of CHITAURI follow his lead.
Thor groaned exasperatedly, "I should have expected you to do that." He grumbled irritably.
Loki nodded, "Shame on you brother." He said smugly as Thor shot him a dirty look.
Odin glared at his sons, finally having had enough of their pointless chatter, "Thor, Loki," Both boys tensed at the warning in his voice, "Would you two remain silent and take this seriously? Pausing every second because of your petty squabbling has grown infuriating!"
Both brothers pursed their lips and ducked their heads, embarrassed at being told off in public and remained silent.
EXT. BRIDGE STREET DAYThe TRIO runs behind upside taxis. They look up and see Loki taking his band down the street and FIRES at the street IN A CHAIN OF EXPLOSIONS. SMASHING CARS AND HURLING PEOPLE AS IT GOES IT GOES OFF IN ONE FINAL CONFLAGRATION. TERRIFIED PEOPLE running from Loki, looking over their shoulders, coming straight at us. CAPTAIN AMERICA looks down the bridge.CAPTAIN AMERICAThose people need assistance down there.CHITAURI SOLDIERS that have landed near them and begin FIRING at them. BLACK WIDOW pulls both pistols and FIRES. Turns to Cap.BLACK WIDOWWe got this. It's good. Go!CAPTAIN AMERICA(AT HAWKEYE)You think you can hold them off?HAWKEYECaptain.(pulls a trigger on his bow; a narrow is mechanically CHOSEN)It would be my genuine pleasure.HAWKEYE shoots an ARROW into the creature's head, gaining a few seconds for CAPTAIN AMERICA as he falls down the bridge, followed by an EXPLOSION.Cap races over to the plaza, jumping over dozens of EXPLODING cars. THE FIRST AVENGER RUNS LIKE A FUCKING CHEETAH.HAWKEYE runs over a bus full of people. From the windows, SMALL CHILDREN are held by their parents for HAWKEYE to pull them out to safety. He runs over to the jammed door and JERKILY opens it. People begin to run out.BLACK WIDOW empties out her CLIPS. HAWKEYE fires ARROWS into the ranks of the CHITAURI, hitting his mark each time he shoots. BLACK WIDOWJust like BUDAPEST all over again!HAWKEYEYou and I remember Budapest very differently.
Loki snorted. This reminded him of a certain someone sitting next to him.
Thor frowned at his brother, hearing his snort. Somehow he had a feeling that Loki just compared him to the mortals in the movie.
EXT. MANHATTAN DAYThe COPS continuously fire at the flying chariots. It's pretty pointless. A YOUNG COP runs over to his POLICE SERGEANT.YOUNG COPWe need to get out! They gotta bring the National Guard!POLICE SERGEANTNational Guard? Does the army know what's happening here?YOUNG COPDo we?
Everyone wanted to comment on the officers' misfortune but no one wanted to disobey orders from the king, indirect as they were.
His word was law after all.

A/N: HEY GUYS! IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE I LAST POSTED HEHE.. Heh…Sorrypleasedontkillme-Anyway- These past few weeks were quite hectic for me. School started, I took some exams a month later, and I was suffering from a minor cold, and now I have to prepare for two quizzes tomorrow!Heh heh...I'm fine.Sorry for the inactivity, I just… I guess I lost motivation for writing recently. Hopefully that'll be rectified soon.Originally, I wanted this chapter to be the final confrontation all in one go but, consider that I promised to release the newest chapter during November, I had to kinda cut the chapter in half (this is where I stopped writing).Hopefully it's not too sloppy. He wanted grandiose ceremonies, he wanted elegant statues, he wanted memorials in his name…Thor, being the innocent bab he prolly was, totally agreed with him and even ouright started that, when they become warriors, those things would definetely happen.[2] I still don't get that. There's prolly a reason for it but uh- I don't get it.[3] Translation: "I do what I want!" / "let me go".Fun fact: I muffled my mouth with my hand and repeated those phrases to get the spelling and pronunciation right.[4] That's my own personal theory for as to what happened to Loki!
