Chapter 28: Family Reunion
Hey everyone I'm back with a new chapter. I'd like to thank my buddy kival73701 for giving this idea and let me tell you this one is gonna be an emotional one. I hope you like what I have planned. Please Review and Enjoy.
In an arctic landscape, two guys were racing on snowmobiles through the snow when one gains the lead.
Smiling eagerly at his victory the guy gasped seeing a large piece of metal ahead of him.
Swerving out of the way he falls into the snow, but before he could recover the snow around him cracked and he fell down a little bit revealing a pod was under him.
"What the?" When his friend showed up they both walked up to the pod to examine it, but when the brushed snow off it the pod glows opening up to reveal an alien woman with three purple eyes.
Screaming they ran to a snowmobile and drove off.
"The Omnitrix." She said narrowing her eyes.
Meanwhile at Monster High, Seth was handing back quizzes.
"Alright class. I gotta say most of you are showing amazing improvement." Seth said handing tests back.
Peeking over Deuce looked at Ari's answers.
"Oh man A+?" Deuce said.
"Hey being a popular idol helps you learn a lot." Ari smiles.
"Yeah well out of all you monster, Ari has the most experience around humans so she knows the drill." Drake chuckles.
"Yes I do." Ari said proudly when the bell rang.
"Alright class see you tomorrow." Mary said as all the monsters left and she noticed Matthew looking out the window lost in his thoughts.
"Hey grandpa is everything alright?" Drake asks.
"Huh? Oh nothing Drake. I'm fine. Just need a little time to myself that's all." Matthew said.
"Are you sure?" Drake asks.
"Yeah I'll be fine." He nods.
"Come on Drake let's go." Seth said knowing why he was acting like this.
"Dad why is grandpa acting like this?" Drake asks.
"This is a very special day for your grandfather." Seth said.
"What happened?" Drake asks.
"It's the day he met your grandmother." Seth said getting his attention.
Outside in the Creepateria, Drake sat down with his parents.
"So dad what was grandma like?" Drake asks.
"I never met her either." Mary said.
"I'm not sure. I was too young to remember. Dad said she died in an accident. I tried looking into it but never found anything." Seth said.
"Guess it's not something he wants to talk about." Mary said.
"Yeah but still I always I knew her." Seth said when they suddenly heard the Werepups.
"Hey give it back!" Looking over they saw Gob was trying to wrestle his dessert out of their hands.
"Oh no not again." Seth said.
"Gob has gotta learn to stop taking food off other people's plates." Mary said as they got up to help.
Drake was about to move in when the Omni-Trackers walk over.
"Hey what's going on?" Clawdeen asks.
"Gob's trying to take food from your brothers again." Drake said.
"Ugh just go back in line for seconds Gob!" Clawdeen yells.
"He never learns." Frankie chuckles.
"So ghouls what's up?" Drake asks.
"Could use a little help. Jinafire and I are working on some new designs and we wanna try them out on others." Clawdeen said.
"Ooh new clothes. Well gold always looks good on me." Cleo said.
"Cleo I know what you ghouls want I need something new a challenge." Clawdeen said when suddenly they heard tons of Monsters scrambling and chattering.
Turning around they saw an alien woman with green skin, a blue jumpsuit similar to the plumbers and 3 purple eyes. This was Xylene.
"Uh who is that?" Draculaura asks when Xylene looks at Drake and instantly her eyes glowed causing purple energy to grab Drake and lift him into the air.
"The Omnitrix. Where did you get that? Answer me!" Xylene orders.
"Long story but the answer is you're not getting it." Activating the Omnitrix, Drake slams down on it turning into Heatblast.
Breaking from her hold, Heatblast fires a powerful fire attack at her but she dodges.
Using her powers she breaks the fence guarding the pool into several pieces before launching it at him.
Retaliating with his own blast Heatblast destroys the fence.
Using this chance, Xylene brings down tons of pool water extinguishing all of Heatblast's flames sending him tumbling to the ground.
"Drake are you okay?" Draculaura asks as they ran over.
"Hey come on Hero Boy get back up." Cleo said.
"Are you kidding? I can't even make a spark." Heatblast groans.
Xylene was about to move in when suddenly a blast was fired causing her to leap back.
"That was your only warning. Now turn around." Matthew said with his proto tool at the ready.
"That voice. Matthew?" She said turning to him.
"Xylene?" Matthew said shocked.
"Dad you know her?" Seth asks.
"Dad? Seth…is that you?" Xylene asks looking at him shocked.
"How do you know my name?" Seth asks a little worried.
"Uh am I missing something?" Heatblast asks walking over.
"Yes. Drake, Seth, Mary this is Xylene, my wife." Matthew said shocking all of them.
"Oh my ghoul." Draculaura said shocked.
"So wait that means you're…" Before Heatblast could finish the logo beeped turning him back into Drake.
"Mom?" Seth asks.
"Grandpa start talking now." Drake said.
Meanwhile back at the Arctic where Xylene was found the two snowmobile guys came back but with a friend.
"I don't see any big lizard. Just a bunch of junk." He said as they looked around and suddenly something started moving and from the snow a robot sprung out scarng the three of them into running off.
When the robot sees the snowmobile, they left behind the first time he attacks it and starts ripping off the pieces.
That night at Monster High, Xylene was examining Seth.
"My little boy all grown up. You're just as handsome as your father." Xylene said.
"Uh thanks." Seth said surprised by all this.
"So wait does this mean Seth can do all those things you did?" Mary asks.
"No, Seth took after me. No powers whatsoever." Matthew said.
"So you're the lucky lady who married my son?" Xylene said.
"Y-Yes." Mary said nervously.
"How did they meet?" Xylene asks.
"Seth and Mary were on the same team in their college Science Project and they both continued to work together creating amazing things." Matthew said.
"Very good." Xylene said.
Nearby Drake was glaring at them.
"I can't believe this. A few hours ago, she tried to kill me and now she's trying to get to know everyone." Drake said.
"But Drake she's your grandma." Draculaura said.
"So she says." Drake said.
"Uh hey Xylene was it?" Cleo asks getting her attention. "If you say you're a Rogers then where have you been this whole time?"
"Yeah dad always you said died when I was little." Seth said.
"Yes well…that was the deal." Xylene said.
"What are you talking about?" Seth asks.
"You see Seth, it was when you were just a little boy too young to remember Xylene was called and asked to be a part of a super important mission that could help save several planets." Matthew said.
"That's amazing." Mary said.
"I thought so too, but if I took it would have had to leave my family for a long time. Years, decades possibly. It wasn't an easy choice." Xylene admits.
"So you chose work over your family. What a deadbeat." Drake mumbles.
"Drake she saved those planets from going to war. She did what she thought was right." Matthew said.
"And I am not a deadbeat. Because I volunteered Matthew was received enough compensation to take care of our son while I wasn't here." Xylene said.
"And yet you were gone so long you didn't even know I existed." Drake glares. "You didn't even know you had a grandson."
"No I didn't." Xylene admits.
"How? I sent you a message years ago." Matthew said.
"Guess I was too far out to ever receive it." Xylene said.
"So…mom why are you here now?" Seth asks getting a weird feeling finally saying Mom after so long.
"For that." Xylene said pointing at the Omnitrix.
"Of course. The only reason my Deadbeat Alien Grandma came back is because I have something she wants." Drake said causing the ghouls to look at him uneasily.
"I've never seen this side of Drake." Lagoona said.
"Yeah…I don't like it." Clawdeen cringed.
"Drake." Mary said surprised he would call her such a thing.
"I'm sure she has a good reason. Xylene tell him it's not true." Matthew said.
"Of course I'm interested in the Omnitrix. I was the one who sent it to Earth after all." Xylene said surprising all of them.
"Wait what?" Drake asks.
"I was transporting the Omnitrix when I was attacked by Vilgax. Realizing I could no longer protect the Omnitrix I place it in a special pod and jettisoned it to the planet below for safekeeping. When I crashed on Earth my body went into a hibernate state until yesterday." Xylene explains.
"Well Vilgax won't be a problem. Drake took him down." Clawdeen said.
"Blew him up along with his ship." Frankie said as Drake smiles proudly.
"Yes well, I'm sure you are just being modest about your role." Xylene said.
"So since Vilgax isn't a problem. Why don't you get going?" Drake asks.
"Drake, I would actually like to get to know my mother a little bit." Seth said.
"Me too." Mary said.
"And besides since her ship broke it'll take a while to build a communicator for her." Matthew said.
"Well I'm not sticking around. You guys catch up but leave me out of it." Drake said walking away.
"Sorry about him." Matthew said.
"He certainly doesn't take after you." Xylene said crossing her arms.
Outside Drake was growling in anger as he kicked a can.
"I can't believe this." Drake said.
"Hey uh you wanna talk?" Draculaura said as Drake turns around.
"Drake, what's going on? You're not yourself." Frankie said.
"Of course not. The Grandma who I was told died a long time ago is actually an alien who abandoned her family and never even called once not even a text!" Drake yells in anger kicking a garbage can before stomping on it multiple times.
"Okay Drake I think the garbage can has suffered enough." Lagoona said as they stopped him and Clawdeen picked it up.
"Look maybe it's a good thing she's back. Maybe you can try and fix that." Clawdeen asks.
"Why the heck should I? She knows literally nothing about us. She's not family. She's just another alien trying rip this watch off my arm." Drake said sitting down.
"But Drake she's your grandmother. Don't you even want to get to know who her a little?" Cleo asks.
"No I don't!" Drake snaps startling them. "I mean I want to but…ugh! Why can't she just go away?!"
Seeing how much he was struggling the ghouls walked over to try and help when suddenly they heard a loud noise.
Gasping a large robot appeared behind Drake.
Gasping Drake got up and ran out of the way as it tried to attack him.
"Isn't that one of Vilgax's old robots?" Frankie asks.
"Look you pile of junk I have had a really crazy day!" Drake said slamming down on the watch turning into Four Arms. "So get ready!"
Leaping in Four Arms punched the robot knocking it back.
Running out Xylene, Matthew, Seth and Mary saw Four Arms holding onto the robot.
Eyes glowing Xylene leaps in to help.
"Back off! I don't your help!" Four Arms said
Using her powers on the ground it causes the Mechardroid to slip and fall throwing Four Arms off as well.
As it struggled to get up Frankie zapped it with electricity before Cleo fired wraps around its legs to try and tie it up.
Using this chance Four Arms rushed in to try and take it apart but right when he did Xylene used her powers and ended up throwing the Mechadroid and him into the wall creating a giant hole.
"Oh no!" Draculaura cringed as Four Arms climbs out and they see the Mechadroid grab various parts from the science room.
"Hey that's not yours!" Clawdeen said.
Shooting out cables it tried to latch onto other various tech around the school.
"Hey! Back off that's Monster High property!" Four Arms said throwing a punch and knocking it out.
But when it turned around it aimed a large gun at him. "Uh oh."
Suddenly a giant blue beam shoots out sending Four Arms crashing into a grill outside and knocks the gas tank nearby.
"Matthew!" Xylene said getting his attention.
Using her powers Xylene tosses the gas tank and Matthew blasts it causing an explosion and a piece to fly off before it fell to the ground.
"Nice thinking." Matthew said.
"I have my moments." Xylene smiles.
Growling Four Arms got up and started ripping the Mechadroid apart piece by piece.
"Oh man look at the school." Frankie cringed.
"Sorry guys, guess I got a little carried away." Four Arms said.
Little did they know one piece of the Mechadroid was sneaking off.
After the fight, Drake had turned into Diamondhead as they tried to fix up the damage from the fight.
"Guess that Mechadroid was the same one who fell to earth with you." Matthew said.
"Yeah and it appears to do the mergy thing with our stuff." Clawdeen said.
"Apparently they have the ability to amalgamate mechanical devices." Seth said.
"Very good Seth." Xylene nods. "Yes they learned the ability in order to fulfill their programming, namely retrieve the Omnitrix." Xylene said looking to Diamondhead. "Are you sure you destroyed it?"
"Yes, I'm sure. Did you not see me rip it apart or did not see me like during the whole battle when threw me all over with the robot?" Diamondhead glares.
"Drake calm down." Mary said.
"Whatever." Diamondhead said.
"It's not my fault you got in the way." Xylene glares back.
Nearby at the bottom of the hill the mechadroid latched onto a car and started to change.
Back at the school, Diamondhead was trying to put together pieces of the equipment.
"If you truly wanted to be helpful, a Galvanic Mechamorph or even a Planchakule would have been more appropriate." Xylene said.
Pausing Diamondhead looks to Matthew.
"She means Upgrade or Jury Rigg." He clarifies.
"Yeah well you're not the boss of me. So just keep your comments to yourself" Diamondhead said.
"Drake calm down. She's just trying to help." Cleo said.
"I don't need her help and I don't want it." Diamondhead said.
"Come on Drake, Xylene probably does know a thing or two about the Omnitrix. Maybe you should listen to her." Matthew said.
"Let me make one thing clear. I do not care about anything my Deadbeat Alien Grandma has to say." Diamondhead points.
"How dare you use such language with me." Xylene said.
"How dare I? You show up out of nowhere after being gone for years and think you can just walk back into our family? Not a chance." Diamondhead said.
"I left so I could make sure my family had a future. If that war got out of hand this entire solar system would have been in danger." Xylene said.
"Drake I get it. I mean I'm mad at my mom too for that but—"
"But nothing dad. She chose her job over family and let us all believe she was dead. She is not family." Diamondhead said.
"How did my Seth end up with such a reckless child?" Xylene asks.
"How would you know what Dad was like you were never here?" Diamondhead asks.
"You are being irrational." Xylene said.
"Well if I'm such a screw up why did I get the Omnitrix?" Diamondhead asks.
"I never sent the Omnitrix to you. You found it before it could reach its intended recipient." Xylene said shocking him.
"But I was there that night. The pod crashed right near Drake." Draculaura said.
"The pod containing it was knocked off course and damaged before it could reach the destination." Xylene said horrifying Diamondhead as the icon beeped turning him back into Drake.
"Wait so…I got the watch by mistake?" Drake asks. "All this time I've been using to help others help make this whole school! And I was never even supposed to have it?"
"Of course. You didn't believe that I would send the most powerful device in the Galaxy to a child? I was sending it to the Plumbers." Xylene said.
"Guess that makes sense. I mean they do the whole alien protection thing." Clawdeen said.
"Yeah it does. After all you didn't even know I existed until today. So there's no way you would ever give this to me. Worst grandma in the world folks and I got her." Drake said.
"Drake it easy." Mary said.
"No I won't! You know Xylene if all you want is the watch then take it so long as you get out of my life and never come back! I hate you!" Drake declares causing Xylene to gasp before he storms off.
"Drake!" Draculaura said about to follow when Clawdeen stops.
"Hey ghoul, let me try talking to him. I have a little more experience when it comes to family trouble." Clawdeen offers.
"Be careful." Draculaura said when Clawdeen ran after him.
"Was it something I said?" Xylene asks.
"Yes, mom. You really hurt him." Seth said.
"I just told him he wasn't supposed to get it." Xylene said.
"You don't know what having that watch meant to Drake." Draculaura said.
"Yeah he's done so much with that. He's a Monster High founder." Frankie said.
"No offense lady but you need to stop and listen to your family." Cleo said.
"Thank you, ghouls but I think me and my family can take it from here. Why don't you all go inside?" Matthew suggests.
Looking at each other the ghouls nod before walking inside.
On a hill overlooking the city, Drake sat down with a depressed look on his face.
"Hey this seat taken?" Clawdeen asks walking over.
"Leave me alone Clawdeen." Drake said as she sat down.
"Look I get that you're angry. I get angry at my mom and my brothers all the time." Clawdeen said.
"It's not just that Clawdeen. The only reason I'm even the person I am today is because I have this watch. If it wasn't for this thing my life would have been lousy. Before I found this and met all you guys, I had no friends at all. I was all alone and now this Deadbeat returns after ditching my dad and thinks she can just join our family again?" Drake growls in anger.
"Drake I understand and yes it's not cool that she left your family and chose to say she died rather than stay but you're not seeing the one thing she's done since reuniting with you guys." Clawdeen said.
"Oh yeah what?" Drake asks.
"She's trying. She actually has love in her heart for you and your family and everyone in your family is trying to give her chance. Everyone but you." Clawdeen said putting a hand on his shoulder. "She's your grandma."
"But—"
"But nothing. So, she's not perfect. Who is? She was gone for a long time but that mission helped your grandpa and your dad out so much. Was it the best choice? Probably not but she was thinking about what was best for her family the whole time."
"Yeah the first time but when she came back she left for real." Drake said.
"Look Drake I know this isn't easy. Sometimes I hate my mom and my brothers more than anything in the world I wish they would leave my life too. They're annoying, loud and they ruin so many things, but I love them more than anything in the world because they're my family and family always sticks together when things look tough." Clawdeen said before giving Drake a hug surprising him.
"Clawdeen?" Drake blushes softly.
"Just try and calm down. Try to find something to be happy about." Clawdeen said.
Taking a deep breath Drake closes his eyes and tried to think happy thoughts and with Clawdeen hugging him it was much easier.
Back at Monster High, Xylene was leaning against wall clicking a device on her wrist.
"I must say Mary, you seem to have a much better understanding of mothering than I did. On my planet, once you're born, you're on your own." Xylene said.
"So your parents left you at a young age too?" Mary asks.
"Yes, it was hard and quite a few times dangerous. When I left Seth, I was hurt but I knew Matthew would do a great job raising him." Xylene said.
"Even so don't you ever wish you could take back your choice? Stay on Earth and be with your family?" Mary asks
"Every day." Xylene frowns. "I missed so much and now my own grandson hates me more than anything."
"Drake doesn't hate you mom." Seth said as he and Matthew pop their heads out. "He's just angry and he doesn't know how to deal with this crazy new situation."
"Kinda like someone else I know." Matthew said when Xylene's wrist device beeped.
"A message?" Xylene asks surprised.
"Maybe when you were frozen your device under went a shutdown and reboot." Seth said as Xylene brought up the message. "It's from 10 years ago…from you." Xylene said looking to Matthew.
Smiling instantly he knew what it said. "Why don't you open it?"
Xleyne,
I must have tried writing you this message a thousand times, but I could never find the right words. You're a grandmother. His name is Drake. He's like you in so many ways, smart, athletic, headstrong and completely stubborn. He's always rushing in once he has his mind on something, wanting to help others and he always says what's on his mind which is why he doesn't really fit in very well with the other kids. Like a certain someone I know and miss. It's been so long since we've gone our separate ways and you were becoming such a hero in your new job; I didn't want to take that away from you. It's been a long time since you left and I've made good on our deal but should you ever choose to drop by you know where to find me. You two might butt heads at first but I think you would love him.
I love you so much, Matthew.
Seeing this a tear dropped down Xylene's eyes every word in that message was true.
"Mom are you okay?" Seth asks.
Xylene was about to answer when suddenly lights shined on them as Xylene and Matthew grabbed Mary and Seth leaping out of the way as the Mechadroid flew in.
"The Mechadroid." Xylene growls seeing it was up and moving again.
Charging in, Xylene pushes everyone out of the way as the droid whacked her sending her crashing into the wall.
"Xylene!" Matthew yells.
Hearing this Drake and Clawdeen break their hug and run over.
As Matthew tried to get Seth and Mary out of the way the Mechadroid turned to them and fired multiple cables grabbing all three of them before attaching them to its body.
When Drake arrives, he gasps in horror to see the robot had his whole family.
"No!" Drake yells trying to stop it but the Mechadroid spun quickly creating a cloud of dust to disappear.
Groaning in pain Xylene came over.
"I thought you trashed that thing." Clawdeen said.
"We all thought it was destroyed. That doesn't matter now." Xylene said.
"But if that thing wants the watch why did it take Drake's whole family?" Clawdeen asks.
"Because it knows I'll come after it. It's a trap." Drake said.
"Exactly and that's why—" Xylene starts.
"I know what you're gonna say. The Omnitrix is worth more than a few lives." Drake said.
"Well it is." Xylene said.
"But forget it. You may be willing to leave your family behind but not me. I'm going after it so try and stop me." Drake glares.
"I'm not. I'm going to help you." Xylene said surprising him.
"Wait what?" Drake said.
"They're my family too and if you and I work together we can save them and the Omnitrix. Truce?" Xylene asks holding out her hand.
Drake looks to her and puts his hand on hers. "Truce."
"We must hurry. Right now it is most likely gathering parts for its final battle with us. Where would the Mechadroid go to gather objects?" Xylene asks.
"Oh that's easy." Looking to the door they saw Frankie, Cleo, Draculaura and Lagoona with a laptop.
"It should be going to…there." Frankie said typing on the laptop showing the image of the docks.
"Very impressive." Xylene said.
"That's Frankie for you. The best in all things technology." Drake said causing her to blush softly.
"Oh stop." She giggles before standing. "Okay I'm ready to help."
"No! If your mechanical friend goes the Mechadroid will absorb her and turn her into its weapon." Xylene said.
"She's right Frankie. We gotta be careful." Drake said.
"Ugh robot on me is not a good look." Cleo cringed not liking that idea either.
"Well what do you suggest we do?" Xylene asks looking to Drake.
Pausing Drake got an idea.
At the docks, Drake raced in on his Hoverboard.
When he arrived they saw the Mechardoid grabbing as much machine parts as it could with Drake's family still strapped to it.
"Mom, dad, Grandpa!" Drake calls out as it turned to them.
"Drake it got access to my proto tool! Look out!" Matthew said as the robot fired lasers at them forcing him to dodge.
"Is this what you want? I'll trade ya. My family for the Omnitrix." Drake offers holding it out.
"Drake no!" Seth said as it fired cables at Drake causing him to hide behind some crates.
"Don't worry dad. We got this." Drake said.
"We?" They said when Xylene flew in and knocked it off balance.
"We really must stop meeting like this Matthew." She smirks.
Charging in Clawdeen in her wolf form ripped the cables off Mary while Lagoona ripped the others off Seth.
The Mechardroid turns to get them back when mummy wraps wrap around their arms yanking them out of the way before it could.
"Good timing Cleo." Clawdeen said as they all ran in.
"Yes I am amazing." Cleo said.
"Mom, Dad." Drake smiles hugging his parents.
Moving in Xylene tried to free Matthew but the Mechadroid wasn't about to lose its last bargaining chip just yet.
Shaking it tried to swat her off when Xylene noticed a large crate above them.
Using her powers Xylene brings the crate down just as she yanks Matthew out of the way and it crushes the Mechadroid.
"Well that outta take care of it." Lagoona said when the crate opened revealing a military tank. "Uh oh."
Almost immediately the Mechadroid linked up to the tank and grew in size.
"Oh come on! Who need a tank?!" Clawdeen whines.
"Everyone run!" Matthew said as they tried to make a break for it but the robot grabbed Matthew and Seth yanking them back in.
"No!" Mary screams.
"Mrs. Rogers this way!" Cleo said yanking her out of the way.
As Drake and Xylene ran behind some crates both of them look over.
"We have to destroy the original mechadroid to defeat it." Xylene said.
"Got it. I'll go Upgrade and take it down." Drake said.
"I have a better idea, but you have to trust me." Xylene said as Drake pauses.
Frowning Xylene turns to him. "Drake I know I'm probably the worst grandma in the world to you right now and your right I can't just come back into our family and expect things to act like nothing happened, but right now my son, my husband, your father and grandfather their lives depend on this. Please, trust me just this once."
Looking her in the eyes Drake smiles before holding out his arm.
"Don't blow it Grandma." Drake said.
Smirking Xylene cracked her knuckles. "Watch a pro."
Fiddling with the watch, Xylene entered a series of codes and fiddled around with the controls.
"New DNA Sequence unlocked." It said before a blue light engulfed Drake turning into a small blueish-green alien and a black and white outfit.
"What does this form do?" He asks.
"You're going to eat it." Xylene said confusing him. "Literally eat it. That's what this form does."
"Well I am kind of hungry." He admits.
Nearby Clawdeen and Lagoona raced around dodging the Mechadroid's attacks while Cleo and Mary ran behind them only for the four of them to wind up trapped in a corner.
Suddenly Drake's new alien leaped in and started chomping away at the Mechadroid.
"That's a new one." Lagoona said as it ate a whole tire.
"Now spit!" Xylene calls out.
Turning to the robot he spit creating an explosion.
"Whoa, I'm gonna call this form Upchuck."
"Ugh I don't think I'm a fan of this one." Cleo cringed grossed out.
"Yeah not a real looker but it's effective." Clawdeen agreed.
Moving in Xylene started to rip the cables holding Matthew and Seth.
"Give me back my family!" She yells ripping them both free allowing Upchuck to eat and destroy the whole thing.
Soon there was nothing left.
"Way to go Drake." Seth said.
"Thanks dad." Upchuck said before spitting out the Mechadroid's head causing it to explode.
When the icon beeped Upchuck turned back into Drake.
"Ugh that was some bad robot." Drake groans before spitting out some gears.
"Someone get this guy some mouthwash." Cleo said.
Back at Monster High, Matthew finished up fixing the communicator.
"Well Xylene it's all fixed up." Matthew said as she looked to Drake.
"Look I wanted to say I'm sorry. I just so angry about what you did I didn't realize why you made those choices." Drake said.
"Well perhaps I wasn't on my best behavior either. I guess we were both jerks." Xylene said.
"So what are you gonna do now?" Mary asks.
Pausing Xylene looks to the communicator before looking to her family. "I made the mistake of choosing work over my family and I missed out on so much…I'm not making that mistake again." Xylene said before turning to them. "That is if my family will take me back?"
"I've waited so long to hear you ask that." Matthew said hugging her first.
"I actually have a chance to connect with my mother." Seth smiles.
"I suppose it could help having someone else to keep these boys in line." Mary smiles.
As the four of them hugged Xylene looks to Drake.
"What about the Omnitrix?" Drake asks.
"It's in good hands." She smiles.
Smiling Drake moves in and joins in the family hug.
"Aww now I wanna go hug my family." Clawdeen smiles.
"I uh don't suppose there's room for one more?" Xylene asks.
"Lady Monster High lets in everyone, freaky flaws and all." Clawdeen smiles.
"Though uh if you want to do things with your family you might need to change your look." Cleo said.
"What's wrong with the way I look?" Xylene asks looking at herself.
"Yeah might need to dig out an old ID mask but it's been so long since we used that we might need to give that thing a makeover." Matthew said.
"Out of the way folks we got work to do." Frankie said as she, Cleo, Draculaura, Clawdeen and Lagoona took Xylene with her.
"Oh I do not envy her." Drake chuckles.
"I'm glad to see you're warming up to your grandmother, Drake." Matthew said.
"She's got a way to go before she's forgiven but at least she's trying and maybe it would help if I had someone who knew how to work this thing around." Drake admits looking at the Omnitrix.
