Later in the ship Misako had her scrolls laced out in front of her showing the Ninjas how the prophecy was already beginning to play out. Lloyd looked at the scrolls and sighed as he looked at the scrolls. He didn't want to have to fight his father. He just wanted his family to be whole again. No more fighting… "Lloyd.Hey you okay?" Kai asked as he shook Lloyd's shoulder to get his attention. Lloyd blinked in confusion,"Y-Yeah just thinking." Kai still looked worried but shrugged it off when Clay and Aaron walked in,"Hey I've got bad news." "What is it?" Lloyd asked. "You know that little jester that kidnapped you and Robin, we spotted him and Monstrux using their fortress as a ship and they're heading to the Dark Island." Clay said. "But why would they head there? I thought you guys said he was after some sort of books of evil or something like that." Kai said pondering why the Nexo Knights's enemy would go to the Dark Island. "Your guess is as good as mine but while Monstrux and Jestro is here in Ninjago we are not going back to Knighton." Clay said as he looked down at the scrolls laid out on the table. "Hey the more. The merrier! " Kai said giving Clay a pat on the back. Clay just gave him a look of annoyance as Kai let out a small awkward laugh. Aaron smiled and pulled Jay into a side hug,"Hey I guess we get to spend more time together sparky. Isn't that great!?" Jay looked at Aaron and blushed a little mumbling about how it was great while looking away. Lloyd looked out the doorway and saw Robin leaning on the railing looking at the dark island.
Lloyd walked outside and stood next to his little brother. Robin however still failed to notice that he was even there until Lloyd spoke,"Something on your mind." Robin let out a small gasp and turned to see Lloyd smiling down at him. Robin looked back at the dark island, "Lloyd is that where dad is?" Lloyd looked at the island in question before looking back at his little brother, "Maybe...We have no idea where Dad is." Robin didn't look better at his brother's words, just more concerned. "Hey, You know you don't have to go, you can stay here with the others." Lloyd said. Robin turned to him with surprise,"No, I want to help. It's just I was wondering if there was a way we could do this without Dad having to fight you." Lloyd's eyes widened as he began to realize and he smiled,"Maybe we can. Who says a prophecy has to be set in stone, maybe we can stop the battle from happening." "You really think we can?" Robin asked. Lloyd responded with a nod and a smile. Robin returned with a smile before adding,"I can't wait to meet him. Maybe since we'll be there he won't fight and all we'll have to do is stop Jestro and the Book of Monsters!" Lloyd could feel the happiness radiating off his little brother as he wrapped his arms around him. He didn't know why but he felt stronger with Robin next to him. "Um Lloyd…" Robin said but his brother's hold only tightened,"Lloyd I can't breathe!" Lloyd let go apologizing and the two brothers began to laugh it off.
In the middle of the ocean that separates Ninjago from the Dark Island. The Book of Monsters began to cackle as he saw their progress. "Soon Overlord my old pal we will be reunited once more." Jestro looked over at his partner, he had been getting the creeps from the island. Deep inside he wished that the Knights and Ninja would make it before it was too late.
Later on the dark island Garmadon was laying on his futon bed just waking up from a bizarre dream. A bizarre dream of him, Misako, Lloyd and… the son Misako and he had given up. He looked so much like his mother and he had his father's peach hair… He reached out and hugged his missing son and smiled. His heart felt complete, his family felt complete… How he wished they could be a family again… Lord Garmadon's thoughts were interrupted when a stone warrior entered the room. "Sir we have found something you might want to see." Garmadon sighed before following the stone warrior out of the tent.
The next morning everyone was on the deck talking among themselves as Clay whistled to get their attention. "Hey guys. I know you are all preparing for our departure.-" Clay began before Kai interrupted,"Clay we get it you want us to be safe on our journey into the unknown. Dude, chill a bit we're going to be fine." Clay glared at Kai as he walked up to him,"How do you know that we could get there and immediately get ambushed?" He said. "Or we could get there and never be seen. You have been thinking about this too much. Come on let's take a ride somewhere." The blue knight raised a brow in confusion,"But we have preparations to finish." Kai jumped onto his motorbike,"Oh I think they have it covered, come on we're burning sunlight." Kai said, putting on his bike helmet. Clay let out a sigh before walking over to his vehicle and strapping himself inside,"Alright but not too long we need to finish preparations for the journey to the Dark Island." Kai rolled his eyes before taking off in his motorbike with Clay soon following.
It seemed like the two had been driving for hours when it was going to stop? Clay looked straight ahead at the scarlet ninja infront of him as he stopped at a cliff side.
Clay parked his vehicle and walked over to Kai who had taken a set at the edge of the cliff. "What are you doing?" Clay asked the other brunette. Kai looked up at him,"Enjoying the view. Might be awhile before I get to see it again." Clay looked at the view. It was beautiful, it reminded him of the view from Knighton castle. "You need to learn how to relax more. You're super stressed all the time." Kai told Clay which the warrior let out a sigh.Clay then spoke in a low voice," I just want everyone to be safe." Kai blinked at Clay's comment as the knight continued,"Unlike the others all of my family is gone. So the Nexo Knights, Merlock, Macy, and … Robin. They're my family." Kai could feel guilt arise in his heart at Clay's confession. Clay wasn't being overbearing or controlling; he just wanted everyone to be safe. "I understand how you feel, besides Nya. My parents died a long time ago so the other ninjas. Well they're like brothers to me." Kai confessed, it felt night for the two to open up to each other. The two sat there in silence enjoying the nice quaint view with a couple of birds flying off into the sunset. "Clay, I know we haven't known each other for long but just know that if you ever need anyone to talk to I'm here." Kai said with a smile before patting Clay's back gently before standing up.
Clay smiled as he stood up as well, the two walked back over to their vehicles. "Hey I'll race you back to the Bounty." Clay said in a cheerful moon which gained him a smile from Kai. "Oh you're on!" The two got in their vehicles and raced away forging a strong bond between Ninjas and Knights as they began their journey into unknown waters.
