Strike moaned as he slowly began to wake. His vision started out blurry for a moment but cleared out so that he could see where he was. He rubbed his head as he sat up and looked around. To his surprise, he was locked up in a cage in the same dark space where Sonic was being held in before.

Strike then noticed that he was feeling something a little tight on his arm. He looked to discover that a dampener had been placed on his arm. Then he heard a familiar voice close by, "That's a dampener, a device capable of disabling a metahuman's powers."

Strike looked to the left to see Specter in another cage right next to him with a dampener on his arm as well. He sighed in frustration as he sat against the bars of his cage, "I'm guessing you don't know where we are?"

"How do you expect me to know, do I look like a GPS?" Specter asked, "Of course I don't know. We were both unconscious when they threw us in here, and it doesn't matter where we are. What matters is what we're going to do to get out of here."

Strike slowly turned his head to Specter with a stern look on his face, "'We?' Or just you?"

Specter looked over at Strike with a raised eyebrow, "Is there something you want to say to me?"

Strike just rolled his eyes as he looked away from Specter. Specter thought back for a second to the moment that happened between him and Shadow the other day and sighed as he spoke, "Look, Strike, I get it. You think I care only about myself, but there's a lot more going on than what you see."

Strike responded without looking back, "Whatever that is, do you seriously believe that's more important than anything that is in the moment? THIS very moment?"

"What I'm worried about is far more important than you think," Specter whispered/laughed to himself.

Strike grumbled, "Why don't you just give us a straight answer?"

"Which is?" Specter asked.

Strike turned to Specter sternly, "That you don't seem to care at all about others. That you only seem to care about yourself. I told them about your parents abandoning you after you were born and that you don't care about them."

"Oh, you did, did you?" Specter asked with the exasperation clear in his voice as he turned his head away with his eyes shut, "Well, me not caring about them, that's all true. I'll give you that. But you, bringing up the idea of me fighting only for myself? Tsk-tsk-tsk, you really should slow down and stop rushing to conclusions."

"We wouldn't be in this mess if you hadn't been so selfish," Strike replied angrily, "Most importantly, things would've been different and Sonic wouldn't have been taken away. But he's missing, we don't know where to find him and it's all because of you, you self-centered blowhard."

Specter's eyes went open in response as he turned back to Strike, "I'm sorry, but what do you define as 'self-centered'?"

"You do things that only matter to you alone," Strike responded, "And the only thing that matters to you is finding whatever it is you're scared off. If you really cared, you would have taken the chance of telling the others as I did about our situation."

Specter merely chuckled to himself at what Strike said, "Oh, Strike, your naivety is refreshing. And it is understandable as you're still just a kid."

Strike scoffed as he turned away from Specter once more, "At least I'm more human than you will ever be."

Specter just chuckled to himself once more, then leaned back against the wall of his holding cell. At that moment, Strike could see Vezon entering the room. He immediately grabbed hold of the bars on his cell in rage. Vezon simply chuckled, "Well, well, I do hope you were quite comfortable with your sleep."

Strike gritted his teeth as he growled, "Where… is… Sonic?"

Vezon simply stood still for a moment, before he spoke, "Zavok?"

At that point, Zavok came approaching out of the dark while dragging a badly injured and unconscious Sonic on the floor by his foot. Strike looked speechless when he saw Sonic in this state, "Oh, no…"

Zavok then threw Sonic forward and the unconscious Mobian landed on the floor right in front of Strike's cell. Strike reached his hand through the bars and checked Sonic's pulse before he let out a quiet sigh of relief knowing he was still alive.

Vezon slowly walked around Strike's cage, "I sense that you are deeply concerned about your new friends. You want to be able to protect them. I do not blame you for that."

Strike looked up at Vezon sternly, "What makes you think saying that will make me feel better?"

Vezon answered, "I had thought about it. And now I have decided, maybe I do not have to eliminate your friends. Yes, there can be individuals who can pose a true threat, but there are also those who are not worth destroying."

Vezon lowered himself to his knees, "Come with me, Strike. We do not need to destroy each other, and your friends do not have to die. We can make them stronger. We can make the race and the people you care about so much unstoppable together."

Strike gave his answer while snarling, "I said it before and I'll say it again. NO!"

Vezon only sighed, "I had hoped this would end peacefully. But… as they say… beggars can't be choosers."

Vezon suddenly rushed forward, thrusting his hand through the bars of Strike's cell and grabbing him by the collar of his shirt, before phasing him out of it. He then grabbed Sonic with his other hand as he spoke to Strike, "I shall bring you and Sonic to where you can find the rest of your friends so you can all fall at once. But where to bring you? Ah, yes."

Vezon then rushed out of the area taking Strike and Sonic with him. Specter looked in the direction the dark speedster ran off in, "Well, this won't end well."

As of the next day, the new round of the Battle of the Bands had taken place with the Rainbooms performing their next song. The Mobians had been watching while making sure there wouldn't be any surprise attacks. But though there wasn't anything happening in the situation, they couldn't stop worrying for Sonic ever since he was taken away. The rest were in the music room while Shadow stood outside said music room with his finger on his chin, thinking to himself.

Shadow gave himself some thought, "Hmm, Vezon has proven to be a formidable foe. Somehow, I feel he's had an unnoticeable advantage against us. But what could that be?"

At that moment, Shadow's head perked up as he seemed to realize something. He quickly went into checking the pockets in his jacket, only to discover… "They're gone. The Chaos Emeralds I had before. Darn it! I must have lost them during the fight. Perhaps Vezon collected them and used them to defeat Strike and Sonic! Even though we may have the other five with us…"

Shadow didn't seem to have much time to finish his thought as he saw the Rainbooms coming down the hall. He then knocked on the door to the music room, and the rest of the Mobians stepped out. "Well, girls?" Sonia asked.

Applejack wiped a bit of sweat from her forehead, "It was a real close call back there, but we made it through."

A physically exhausted and mentally-drained Rainbow Dash put her hand on his head, "Barely."

The Mobians were all surprised to see Rainbow in this condition. "Rainbow, are you alright?" Silver asked.

Rainbow shook her head no as Twilight answered for her, "She hasn't been able to get enough sleep knowing that Sonic could be in danger. If anything, we were lucky to pass the round. The Rainbooms may be able to move on to the finals, but I don't know how much longer Rainbow can last like this. And I'm running out of time for the counter-spell against the Sirens."

Manic and Sonia put their hands on Rainbow's shoulders, "We're gonna get him back, Dash."

Rainbow nodded without saying anything. Shadow spoke to the group, "We should get moving. And I think I may have an idea for a counter-attack against Vezon and the Zeti."

As the group started walking, Fluttershy seemed to stop in her tracks and get on her knees on the floor. Tails was the only one who noticed and decided to see if she was alright while the others went ahead.

Tails bent his knee as he spoke, "Fluttershy?"

Fluttershy looked down at the floor with an unsettled look, but she answered, "I… I'm sorry, Tails. It's just… I can't believe that we're in a big situation right now. Dealing with the Sirens is one thing, but fighting against a pack of meanies and a ruthless fighter feels like more than I can handle. I don't know if we can win this."

Tails looked at his friend for a moment, before he put his hand on Fluttershy's. Fluttershy was slightly caught off guard by this as she looked up at Tails who gave her a comforting smile, "Well, I have faith in Sonic. He's been in these situations many times, and he always came back. But there are times where we can't always count on those we look up to. He's taught me to be brave, and I'm willing to help you too."

Fluttershy smiled back at Tails with a small blush on her cheeks as she flicked her hair, "T-Thank you, Tails. Um, come on. We should catch up with the others."

Tails nodded in agreement, "Right."

Tails and Fluttershy went to follow the others. But as they followed down the hallway, neither of them saw Vezon. Vezon saw them; he was hiding in the darkness of an unlit hallway. Once they had passed and were out of sight, he stepped silently out of the dark. Then he turned his attention to the other direction of the hallway and started going through it with his speed. The Dazzlings just happened to be walking down the hallway, when they were all grabbed and put into the music room by a certain red and black electric blur. They were surprised when they realized they were suddenly in a new space within seconds.

"What the-?!" Adagio exclaimed.

"What was that?!" Aria yelled.

There wasn't any answer, until, "Good afternoon, my dears."

The Dazzlings turned around to see Vezon standing behind them with his arms crossed. Sonata looked terrified and hid behind Aria, who just rolled her eyes and pushed her away. Adagio held her hands up, "Who are you? What do you want? ...And why do you look like Strike?"

"I am not him," Vezon answered, "I have simply taken the form of him by choice. Let me ask you this; long before your unfortunate departure from Equestria, you were aware of the existence of other realities, correct?"

Adagio raised an eyebrow, "Yes… why?"

"Very few from your world were quite aware of my existence," Vezon replied, "And I do believe you are as well. I am the Dark God, Vezon."

Adagio's expression changed to surprise as she looked at Vezon in awe, "The legends are true?"

"Indeed, and so am I," Vezon answered, "I understand your current situation in this world with your quest for Equestrian Magic. You wish to be respected by all. However, there can be so much more you can do with that power."

"How so?" Adagio asked.

"With my guidance, of course," Vezon answered, "But… I can only give you that key if you can keep your word. Prove to me that you are the ones worthy of that power, and I can give you the key to obtaining it."

Adagio looked over to her sister's for a moment, who each made their own thoughts about this, before they smirked at her with a nod. She then turned back to Vezon with a sinister smile, "Very well. So where do we begin?"

Vezon smirked as he answered, "We begin with the easy targets. Bring the Rainbooms somewhere they are unable to leave with the assistance of Sonic's friends, and I will take care of the Mobians. And perhaps, Adagio Dazzle, I will even reward you with Sonic as yours."

Adagio's smile grew as she chuckled, "Yes."

"Now," Vezon said, "I do believe that there is someone you are aware of who is quite jealous that the Rainbooms have had such flaws in their songs, yet they have been able to proceed to the finals. Find her, and motivate her to take action and our trap will be set."

Adagio nodded as she and her sisters walked out of the music room to find their targeted figure. Vezon smirked as he could see his idea working as planned when his expression seemed to change before he slightly shifted his head to the right, "Well, well, well… I had a feeling that you would return to this world, along with an ally."

Vezon turned around to see that it was Dreadlord and another person with him. The other person had bright yellow hair, tan skin and glowing eyes. He wore a yellow and green hazmat suit, without the helmet, that seemed to glow.

"My apologies for appearing without notice, but we don't really have a good way to communicate with you," Dreadlord said with a bow.

Vezon looked over at the person next to Dreadlord, "And who might you be?"

"Your superior-OW!" the person said until he was cut off as Dreadlord slammed his staff on his foot.

"Nuker, behave yourself, this person is almost as powerful as our boss, meaning he has more than enough power to kill you ten times over."

"And what, may I ask, brings you to this world?" Vezon asked.

"That would be you. Lord Vezon, our employer has an offer for you, and sent us to deliver it," Dreadlord answered, trying to sound as respectful as possible.

"And the offer is?" Vezon asked.

"An offer of a membership for a very exclusive… group of sorts," Dreadlord answered, "With plenty of perks. And just so you know, our employer doesn't just hand these out to anyone. You've impressed him, which is not something that just happens."

Vezon turned away from a moment as he responded, "If I may ask, what would I earn in return for accepting this offer from your employer?"

"Well, gaining access to technology more advanced than anything the human race could come up within a thousand years for a start," Dreadlord replied, "Along with access to armies powerful enough to conquer entire realities. Oh, and the power to destroy said realities as well, for a simple understanding of the fringe benefits."

Vezon put his hand on his chin as he put some thought into this. Meanwhile, the Mobians and Rainbooms had moved to another location; the Canterlot amphitheater, a place that was rented by CHS for the final round. The Rainbooms were preparing their instruments while the Mobians were on the roof of the stage, which was shaped like a horse saddle.

Rainbow spoke into a microphone and tapped it, "Check, one, two. Testing, testing."

Sunset thought she could be of help, so she adjusted the volume. But she didn't realize that she accidentally set it too high. Rainbow spoke through the microphone again and her voice went out very loudly from the mic, "TESTING!"

The loud noise caused an additional high feedback. Everyone covered their ears from the noise, and Manic was close to falling off of the roof, "Whoa!"

Sunset quickly turned the volume back down. Fluttershy spoke as she was confused about how they managed to come to the finals, "This doesn't make any sense. We were awful. Doesn't anybody think it's strange that we're the ones who made it to the finals?"

That was when another voice spoke nearby, "Very strange."

The Rainbooms all turned to see that the voice came from Trixie. Rainbow raised an eyebrow, "What are you doing here, Trixie? Pretty sure the losers are supposed to be up there in the cheap seats."

Trixie raised her hand and prepared to snap her fingers, "The Great and Powerful Trixie is the most talented girl in Canterlot High. It is I who deserves to be in the finals. And I will not… be denied!"

Trixie snapped her fingers and her two band members behind her, Lavender Lace and Fuschia Blush, pulled a lever at the end of the stage. All of a sudden, a trap door opened up right beneath the Rainboom's feet and they yelped in surprise as they all fell in the hole.

The Mobians took notice of this. "Hey, not cool, Trixie!" Manic yelled.

The Mobians jumped off of the roof and headed towards Trixie, but in the process of doing so, Vezon came rushing out of nowhere grabbing the Mobains one by one in seconds. They were all sitting on the stage with their hands and feet tied up.

Vezon then appeared again and stood in front of them with his arms crossed, "Now, now, let us not spoil the fun while the show is still yet to come."

Vezon then stepped towards Shadow and bent his knees, "Now then, Shadow, I do believe that you were the one keeping your eye on your gemstones. The Chaos Emeralds, correct? Might I ask where you are keeping them?"

Shadow looked at Vezon sternly, "You won't make me crack."

Vezon smirked as he stood up, "No matter. For I do not have any long-term uses for them."

Sonia snarled angrily, "Where's Sonic?!"

Vezon grinned sinisterly, "I shall bring you and Manic to your brother."

Vezon grabbed both Sonia and Manic and tossed them into the trap door with the Rainbooms. He then started electrocuting the rest of the Mobians, causing them all to shout in pain before they collapsed unconscious. Vezon then shoved them all into the hole in the stage where the rest of the Mobians and Rainbooms were.

Spike just happened to find a rope bone and grabbed it with his mount, only to discover that the Mobians and Rainbooms were trapped in the stage now. Manic's head was stuck in the ground and Sonia and Applejack had to pull him out. Pinkie had a drum on her head, Rainbow had cartoon dizzy eyes and the rest were either on the ground face first or rubbing their shoulders. Vezon smirked at Trixie, "Excellent strategy."

Trixie chuckled sinisterly. Spike took the opportunity to quickly sneak away before anyone could see him. Trixie waved to the Mobians and Rainbooms as the trap door shut on them, "See you never."

"That's playing dirty, Trixie! Ya hear me?! Dirty, I tell ya!" Manic yelled right at the trap door shut, blocking out his voice.

There was the sound of sniffling nearby. Sonia, Manic and the Rainbooms turned to see Strike on his knees in front of an unconscious, injured Sonic. Rainbow gasped in horror, "SONIC!"

Rainbow rushed over to Sonic as she asked Strike in worry, "What happened?!"

Strike looked up at Rainbow his his tears running down his face, "Vezon let the Zeti torture him. Both physically… and mentally. And you know what really doesn't help?"

Strike then yelled as he pointed behind him, "Having to be stuck with him in here! That's what!"

The Rainbooms, Manic and Sonia saw that Specter was there as well, who simply waved without even looking at them. Outside of the stage, Adagio and her sisters came out as they had witnessed what had happened. Adagio chuckled, "Told you someone would give them a shove."

Sonata didn't seem to understand what she meant, "She didn't shove them. She pulled a lever."

Adagio facepalmed in response and Aria sighed as she rolled her eyes, "Go back to sleep, Sonata."

Later that night, due to the Rainbooms not showing up, Trixie and her band were given a new chance to go against the Dazzlings. While Trixie was performing her song 'Tricks Up My Sleeve', the Mobians, heroes and Rainbooms were still trapped inside. Sonia and Manic were still the only Mobians awake while the rest were unconscious. The Rainbooms were sitting around feeling bored.

Rainbow seemed to be the only one trying to bust out; she was understandably angry with what Vezon and the Zeti had done to Sonic. She slammed herself into the door in an attempt to break it down, but to no avail. She groaned in pain as she held her shoulder.

Manic sighed as he spoke to Rainbow, "Dash, it's clear you're ticked off here, but being this angry won't do any good for Sonic. Just give up already."

Rainbow looked at Manic sternly, "So what, Manic? We're all just gonna sit in here and do nothing?!"

Sonia spoke up in response, "He's right, Rainbow. You've been trying at this for hours. It's not going to open."

Rainbow just rubbed her arms as she sat next to Sonic and Strike. Twilight stood up and spoke with doubt in her voice, "Maybe it doesn't even matter that we're trapped down here. I don't think the counter-spell would've worked anyway."

"'Course it woulda worked, Twilight," Applejack put her hand on Twilight's shoulder reassuringly, before she turned her attention to Rainbow, "Assumin' a certain band member didn't try to hog the spotlight the whole time we were tryin' to play it! Especially for her special one!"

Rainbow stood with her arms crossed, "Hey! If you want to tell Twilight she's getting a little too caught up trying to be the new leader of this band and impress Flash, you don't have to be all cryptic about it."

Rainbow misunderstood what Applejack meant, and Twilight was hurt by her words. She backed away as Rarity stepped in with her teeth gritted, "She was talking about you, Rainbow Dash!"

Rainbow was surprised, "Me?! I'm not trying to be that way to Sonic! I'm just trying to make sure my band rocks as hard as it needs to."

Rarity and Applejack shouted loud enough that their voices caused a breeze to blow Rainbow's hair, "OUR BAND!"

Rainbow gave an angry face in response. Sunset and Strike wasn't sure what to do. Twilight sat on the floor against the wall feeling miserable, "But why wasn't it working? I should know what to do! How could I not know what to do?! How could I have failed like this?"

Twilight buried herself in her knees. Manic and Sonia attempted to bud in the argument. Manic tried to speak, "Come on, girls. Can't we just-"

Rainbow shouted at the twins as she pointed at them, "You and Sonia stay out of this! This has nothing to do with you!"

Manic and Sonia backed away in surprise. Sunset and Strike just stood and watched in horror as they witnessed the girls' friendship starting to fall apart. "It might've been your idea to start a band, but it's not just your band, Rainbow Dash!" Applejack yelled in Rainbow's face.

Rainbow yelled back in response, "I'm the one who writes all the songs!"

This caused Fluttershy to angrily step in, "I write songs! You just never let us play any of them!"

Rarity made an attempt to change the subject, "I made the most perfect outfits for us and Sonic's band to wear!"

That only made it get irritating for Applejack, "Again with the costumes! No one cares what we're wearin'!"

Rarity yelled at Applejack in response, "I care, Applejack! So sorry if I enjoyed trying to make a creative contribution to the band!"

Pinkie just popped up between the girls and just screamed, "HEY! Anybody here remember fun?! I'll give you a hint; IT'S THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF BEING IN THE RAINBOOMS!"

Specter, being in the corner, just shook his head and thought to himself, "Are they ever going to shut up?"

Rainbow finally lost it, "I wished I never asked any of you to be in my band!"

Rarity screeched out, "I WISH I NEVER AGREED TO BE IN IT!"

Fluttershy and Applejack agreed, "Me neither!"

The Mane 5 started arguing and yelling at each other all at once without any sign of stopping. They were so engaged in this argument that they weren't able to notice that each of them were starting to glow. Their magic was starting to leave; possibly because said magic being the Magic of Friendship was either starting to reject them or it was turning into something else.

Sunset, Strike, Manic and Sonia all watched as the Rainbooms kept fighting. They saw their magic leaving them and starting to hover through the floors of the stage. Outside the stage, Trixie finished the final lyrics of her song as small fireworks were launched around the stage as the crowd cheered in amazement at the song.

Adagio, Aria and Sonata stood further back on the stage behind the curtain as they had been waiting for their turn to perform. Trixie mocked the Dazzlings as she and her band walked past them, "Try to top that!"

Adagio made a mockingly worried voice, "Oh, gosh! I don't know if we can!"

The Dazzlings made a sinister chuckle with confidence before they took notice of the Rainboom's magic rising from underneath the stage. They all took a smile before they started walking to the front of the stage as their song began to play. The crowd watched as the Dazzlings began singing with their geodes absorbing the magic.

Sunset, Strike, Sonia and Manic all suddenly came to realize what the Sirens were after from the beginning. The Rainbooms were still arguing with each other until Strike called out to them, "Girls, stop! You have to stop NOW!"

The Rainbooms were quiet as they turned to face the others. Sonia pointed out what was happening, "This is what the Sirens were after the entire time! They're feeding off of the magic inside of you!"

The Rainbooms were surprised and confused. "How can they be using our magic?" Applejack asked, "It's the Magic of Friendship."

Twilight raised her head as she took notice of this. Sunset explained to the Rainbooms how all this unfolded, "Ever since you've started this band, you've been letting… little things get to you. I never said anything because I didn't feel like it was my place. Not when I was so new to this whole 'friendship' thing. I still have a lot to learn, but I do know that if you don't work out even the smallest problems right at the start, the Magic of Friendship can be turned into something else."

Twilight took a moment to think about this before she figured it out and joined the group, "I can't believe all this tension was happening right under my nose and I didn't realize it. I'm supposed to be the one with all the answers. And all I've done since I got here is let you down… even Sonic and his team."

Manic put his hand on Twilight's shoulder, "I don't think anyone's supposed to have all of the answers, Twilight. But what you can count on is your friends to help you find them."

The Rainbooms were all smiling at this. And not long after, a voice spoke out, "Well said, guys."

Everyone looked to see Sonic finally waking up. The rest of the Mobians followed as Sonia and Manic helped them get their straps off. Sonic shook his head before he saw Rainbow and took a few steps back. Rainbow started walking towards him. Strike instantly felt concerned and tried to stop her, but Shadow held his arm in front of him, "Wait."

Rainbow stood a foot in front of Sonic. Sonic stammered as he didn't know what to say after what happened before, "Rainbow, I- Uh- I-"

Rainbow raised her arms, and Sonic quickly turned his head away, shutting eyes as he expected her to slap him, but the result then left him beyond surprised. Rainbow was hugging him with tears in her eyes, "It's alright, Sonic. And I'm sorry too."

Astonished by what Rainbow said, Sonic smiled with tears of his own and hugged her back, "Thank you."

Rainbow and Sonic then gave each other a kiss on the lips to show that they still loved each other. Manic and Sonia walked up to Sonic and put his hand on his shoulder, "Good to have you back, bro."

Rainbow put her hand on Sonic's cheek, "Are you alright?"

Sonic nodded, "You bet I am. Vezon and Zavok are going to be sorry for what they did to me."

Silver approached Strike as his hand started forming his psychokinesis aura, "Let's get that off you, pal."

Silver used his psychokinesis to remove the dampener from Strike's arm. Strike rubbed his arm where it held on to him, "Thanks, Silver."

Sonic turned to his brother and sisters, "Shall we blast the door down?"

Sonia and Manic nodded. But before the three hedgehog siblings grabbed their medallions, there was a knock from the other side of the door. Everyone looked to see the door opening with Spike and Mint behind it, "Hey, y'all."

"Mint!" Strike said in surprise.

"Spike!" Twilight said in delight as she grabbed hold of her dog and cuddled him.

Spike spoke as he pointed to the door, "Sorry Mint and I took so long. We had to find somebody who wasn't under the Siren's spell to help us get you out without blowing our cover."

Everyone looked at the door to see CHS's DJ musician, Vinyl Scratch. "Uhh, why isn't she under their spell?" Manic asked curiously.

"Never takes off her headphones," Mint answered.

Strike turned to the group, "We better get going if we're going to defeat the Sirens, the Zeti and Vezon."

That was the moment when Specter finally spoke, "Uh, hello, forget someone? I'm here too."

Everyone turned to see that Specter still had his dampener on his arm, "How am I supposed to fight with this thing stuck on my arm, huh? Mind helping me get it off?"

The Mobians, Rainbooms and Strike were all feeling skeptical about this. "After the way you treated us all before?" Rarity asked, "Why, I certainly think not."

Specter rolled his eyes as he sighed, "Well then, have fun getting your butts handed to you on a silver platter. I admit you guys are by no means weak, but if Dreadlord is here, then so is one of his comrades. That means that something big is going on, and you guys are not ready to fight people like this. You will need my help if you want to win this fight."

Strike crossed his arms as he spoke sternly, "Tell me one reason why we should give you a chance of our trust."

Specter responded as he stood up, "Because I'll give everyone here a chance of mine if you get this dampener off. After all, saving someone's butt does help with friendship building. And while I don't completely trust you, I've seen enough to know you guys aren't potential enemies. Well, maybe Shadow, but that's besides the point."

The others weren't really sure about this, but Shadow stepped forward, and pulled off the dampener before crushing it, "I think you deserve a chance, even after our little disagreement. No hard feelings?"

Shadow held his hand out to Specter for a handshake of respect, and Specter respectfully shook it, "None that mean anything right now. And while I won't completely trust any of you, I know you won't stab me in the back."

"Then come on, y'all!" Applejack said, "Time to prove we've still got the Magic of Friendship inside us!"

"And there's only one way to do it!" Twilight added.

"We're getting the band back together?" Pinkie asked.

Rainbow corrected, "We're getting our band back together!"

Pinkie happily responded with a cheerful 'Wee'! Rainbow then added, "And we're bringing the Sonic Underground with us!"

Sonic, Sonia and Manic all nodded. "Ooh, which version of the counter-spell are we going to play?" Rarity asked.

"I don't think it really matters what we play," Sonic answered, "As long as we play it together. As friends!"

"I know just the song," Rainbow called out, which made the bands a bit concerned for a moment, before she added, "Fluttershy's written a really great one."

Fluttershy gave a big smile with a happy squeal. Applejack then thought of something to add, "We're about to save the world here. Personally, I think we should do it in style. Rarity?"

Rarity pulled a rack out of nowhere which had outfits for the Rainbooms and Sonic Underground to wear, "I thought you'd never ask!"

Strike stepped into the group, "Okay, here's the plan. Sonic Underground and Rainbooms, you use your music and magic to take on the Sirens and use the counter-spell against them. The rest of us will make sure that Vezon and the Zeti don't intervene. Specter, if Dreadlord and his comrade do show up, can you provide us with some support on how to take them down?"

Specter nodded, "You can count on me."

Strike then turned to Sonic and approached him, "One more thing, Sonic."

"Yeah?" Sonic asked.

Strike reached into one of his pockets and pulled out a small high-tech watch. He handed it to Sonic as he told him, "Inside here is a little something I've crafted for you. I thought it'd come in handy for in case what you wear catches fire. When the Sirens are down for the count, use the watch to deploy it."

Sonic nodded as he turned to everyone with a confident smile, "Okay then. Let's get ready to do this. We'll show those creeps the real superpower of TEAMWORK!"
