A/N So I made some sort of schedule for updating. It will be on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays if I can manage.

Disclaimer: I do not own wings of fire, just my OCs.

North didn't do anything in the morning before leaving the palace. He woke up, remembered everything that happened, then ran. He saw two dragons on his way out, his parents, who both asked him that he was doing but he just told them he was going out.

He rehearsed his apology in his head over and over again wanting it to be perfect. Penguin was the best friend he had ever had in his life, and he had no intentions to lose her.

Penguin what I said was stupid, I know, but if you could please forgive me... No, I got nothing after that. Penguin! thank the moons I found you! I'm sorry about what I said but my mother hired an assassin to kill Aroura and I'm going crazy... No that was too abrupt.

She sat patiently at the door waiting for what he had to say. She would have just slammed the door in his face, but she knew he was sorry and wanted to go back to being friends. He was panting, and probably thinking of an apology since he hadn't yet, but she waited, nevertheless.

"Penguin I know I hurt you," good start," and I don't deserve your forgiveness, but if you are willing to, I'd appreciate it."

It was a mediocre apology, one that was very obviously made-up on the spot. He sounded desperate, which he probably was, and it made no difference. If he had thought about what he said before he said it, he wouldn't be doing this right now. That was his problem, he lacked empathy and compassion, like all princes do, and like all princes he loses the girl because of it. She would not fall into this trap she refused to.

"I promise I won't say something like that Again. I guess I just started to consider you family so much that I never thought about if you considered me like that."

Well, that changed everything.

"What?" she asked. It was impossible that he was saying that. Her part of his family, it was like some cheesy love story, but real!

"I really like you Penguin a lot, and well I just figured that maybe you felt the-"

"YES!" It was way too loud, and that was an understatement. Orphans came running to the door, and villagers turned their heads.

"Really?" he asked.

"Of course, you big dumb spiky thing, I've liked you since we first when penguin sledding!"

They moved into an embrace, her head cuddling up to his chest. when they separated, he had a grave expression on his face.

"There's something else I need to tell you."
