The Deeproads
Luckily for the warden, Oghren was not hard to find. When her and Alistair returned to the inn, they would find Oghren hitting on Wynne, "Ya know I've never met a mage before…are you good with that staff or is it just for show?" He chuckled, thinking himself very clever as he took a swig of his ale.
Wynne just chuckled, "I suppose you could say that dwarf."
Lenna moved to the intervein, "who is your friend Wynne?" She wasn't sure if Wynne really needed protecting or not.
"Why, this is Oghren. He said he was waiting for you, so I offered to keep him company while he waited."
Oghren looked up at Lenna, "My you are a tall one. I wouldn't mind climbing you like a tree Lass. But getting down to business, you need my help."
"I do, what for?" She humored him to see what he knew.
"You need me, to lead you to Branka. And I want to find Branka. Left me behind…I miss that woman ya know…best thing that ever happened to me." He sighed.
"So you are saying you would come with us and help us find Branka?"
"Aye! But can we leave tomorrow? I may be a little too drunk to try things of that nature."
"Very well. We will meet you by the entrance into the deep roads in the morning Oghren."
"Deal!" He shouted, and then seemed to pass out drunk.
Alistair chuckles, "Hopefully he remembers."
"You aren't kidding…" Lenna walked to her room, sighing as she ran a hand through her hair, it had just hit her just how stressful this all is for her.
Alistair took a risk, and entered the room behind her, holding her close, "hey, it will be okay beautiful." He whispers, petting her hair softly.
She sighed, "I hope so…it is getting stressful solving everyone's problems…"
Alistair nods, and keeps soothing her, "Well, at least all it will be over soon. All we have to do is survive thousands of Darkspawn while walking into their territory…no pressure there."
Lenna nods, "Yeah…no pressure there. I'm tired now. I am going to get some sleep before we get to go deal with the damned deep roads…"
He nods, petting her cheek tenderly, and kisses her softly, "I will see you tomorrow Lenna."
Lenna set her armor down neatly, her bow, and twin blades next to her quiver. She moved to lay down.
As she slept, she had sensed the darkspawn, watching in on them as she rest, she was thrashing, yet could not wake up from the horror of it. She woke up that morning feeling very hungover from the dream she had. She got up to dress, and get supplies for the journey, she did not want to wake the person in her room with her and snuck out quietly. Sten had been waiting in the tavern part of the inn for Lenna.
"You need help gathering supplies." He spoke sternly, and emotionless.
"If you want, that would be nice." She said, walking out the door, as Sten followed her out.
They gathered water, and dry rations to last them a few weeks in the deep roads. Luckily for them, there were large nugs used to carry supplies, the group rented one to carry rations, and water for the group. Leliana would have to keep the animal calm in the deep roads, it would have to be blinded so that it could not be easily startled.
Days turned into weeks in the deep roads. The group was led by a dwarf they were not sure should be leading, but it was better than trying to stumble around by themselves.
It was weeks in the Deeproads after Harrowmont had asked Lenna to go into the Deep roads to find Branka. They were getting close. They took up camp in an old Legion of the Dead barracks, it was safe enough for the moment at least. While in the deep roads they found a few interesting things, mostly a dwarf named Ruck hiding in one of Branka's old campsites, who she put out of their misery. She located information about the Legion of the Dead being connected to a noble house. She also found a book that would become important later.
Lenna couldn't sleep, although she wasn't the only one. They were all creeped out by this place, it was hell. It was dark and they hadn't seen sunlight for a long time, they couldn't even really start a campfire lest they attract attention from the Darkspawn. Lenna took a bite of some hardtack and rubbed her head, with all the darkspawn setting off her senses all around her, everyone seemed to be getting antsy due to the lack of sun.
