This leads him to a young scavenger named Rey, who will change his life forever... A retelling of the sequel trilogy in a more satisfying way, changing certain parts of the story, adding two or three OC's and elements from Legends.

15. Book 3: Chapter 1

Book 3:

The Rise of SkyWalker

Chapter 1: Palpatine

A threat returns. The galaxy has heard a mysterious broadcast, a threat of REVENGE in the sinister voice of the late EMPEROR PALPATINE.

GENERAL LEIA ORGANA dispatches secret agents to gather intelligence, while REY, OWEN AND PADME, the last hope of the Jedi, train for battle against the diabolical FIRST ORDER with the last members of the JEDI religion.

Meanwhile, Supreme Leader KYLO REN follows the map to the phantom Emperor, determined to find his place in this grand plan...

….

We see three First Order TIE ships soaring to a Star Destroyer as it hovers in front of the volcanic planet Mustafar.

In Corvax Fen, the forest of scorched iron-trees on the planet surface, small fires lick the ground and charge trunks.

Kylo Ren, now older, uses his lightsaber to cut down Mustafarian warriors known as the Alazmec of Winsit, wearing helmets outfitted with glowing yellow light to resemble eyes. With First Order stormtroopers easily taking down the natives with blasters, Kylo Ren runs straight to a warrior, slamming them to the ground. Sliding backwards, Kylo Ren spreads a small ground fire as he thrusts his lightsaber through an Alazmec behind him. Using the Force, he draws a guard to him and dispatches them before cutting off another's right arm. Eventually, he stops, breathing heavily. All of the Mustafarians are dead.

As Ren makes his way towards the tomb the warriors had been protecting, we see Luke's green lightsaber strapped to his weight.

A trophy or a momento, we don't know.

Kylo then pushes the lid of the tomb away, and pulls a triangular device out of it. The Sith Wayfinder has been found!

….

Kylo Ren's Silencer, which had been outfitted with an extra seat, is being steered through a red nebula. Kylo seems determined when he reaches his destination.

….

Ren lands on the planet of Exagol.

A planet filled with storm clouds.

The enormous Sith temple comes into view, shrouded in darkness and lightning. Ren leaves his ship and draws his lightsaber, activating it as he walks to the temple's opening.

We see a hexagonal platform lowering down into the catacombs of the planet. A familiar, ominous voice fills the air.

Palpatine, "at last…"

Ren seems uneasy as he walks through the darkness. Lightning shows the room is filled with gigantic statues of Sith Lords of the past.

Palpatine, "you followed the map…. Snoke... trained you well…"

Kylo, "I killed Snoke. I'll kill you."

Palpatine, "my boy... I made Snoke…

As Ren stands still, he hears all too familiar voices.

Palpatine, "I have been every voice..."

Snoke, "...you have ever heard..."

Vader, "...inside your head."

As Ren hears the gasps of Vader vanish, he is shown a different part of the ruins. Sith acolytes are connecting wires to a tank, which contains mangled bodies, several mutilated copies of Snoke.

Other pods show younger clones of the Sith Lord.

One even showed a female clone.

Kylo passes them, coming closer and closer to where the voice is coming from.

Palpatine, "the First Order was just the beginning... I will give you so much more…"

Kylo, "you'll die first."

Palpatine, "I have died before."

The leader of the First Order turns his head and steps towards the voice.

Palpatine, "the dark side of the force is a pathway to many abilities, some considered to be..."

Lightning illuminates Palpatine's face, with bones showing.

Palpatine, "...unnatural."

It's clear that, whatever the Emperor has been using to sustain himself, hasn't been kind to him. His body is frail, his skin pale, his eyes empty. Bones show in certain places. Ren lifts his saber, holding it mere inches away from the Emperor's throat.

Kylo, "Snoke only ever spoke of you. Never of how you came back."

Palpatine, "... the Jedi can live on as spirits of the light. Letting go of their bodies to become so powerful. I, however, discovered an alternative path. My spirit now possesses the body you see. A corpse, puppeteered by a powerful spirit."

Kylo, "... what could you give me?"

Palpatine, "everything."

He spreads his mangled fingers. Force lightning sparkles between them.

Palpatine, "a new Empire."

You can practically hear the Imperial March as a massive fleet of Star Destroyers break through the icy surface of Exegol.

Palpatine, "the might of the Final Order will soon be ready. It will be yours if you do as I ask. Kill the girl if you can! Kill the last two Skywalkers! End the Jedi... and become what your grandfather Vader could not."

Kylo Ren lowers his lightsaber.

Palpatine, "you will rule all the galaxy as the new Emperor. But beware... she is of two powerful bloodlines. She is not to be underestimated. Neither her, nor the children of Skywalker."

Kylo, "... I will strike them down. Nothing will stand in my way."

Thunder rumbles as Palpatine smiles devilishly.

….

We find ourselves back in the Millenium Falcon.

Padme is in the cockpit, looking at her lightsaber.

She had tweaked the blade a bit. A slightly golden color, with hints of red. She activated the blade for a moment, revealing a light blue blade.

It was powered by permafrost crystals.

Meanwhile, the others are playing an intense game of dejarik.

Finn still has the old jacket Poe gave him.

The game pieces chitter as Chewbacca grunts softly.

Poe, "are you ever gonna go?"

Finn, "he can't beat us every time."

Poe, "apparently he does."

Finn, "how does he do it?"

Poe, "this guy right here? It's cause he cheats."

Chewie groans.

Poe, "I'm kidding!"

We then see DJ walk into the room!

DJ, "j-j-just make your m-move."

Finn, "oh, come on. Take your turn."

Poe, "you're 250 years old."

Finn, "you're taking forever. That's cheating."

Chewie growls at them.

Poe, "of course you're better than this."

Finn, "that's why we think you're cheating."

DJ, "all's fair in l-love and w-w-war."

They hear electronic chiming.

Chewie grunts.

Finn, "don't worry!"

Poe, "we're not gonna turn it off."

Chewie groans as he gets up.

Finn, "he's cheating."

Poe, "definitely. Klaud, I hope you fixed that surge."

The two men get up and turn off the table. They pass by the alien named Klaud.

Klaud responds in alien language as he looks at some wires.

DJ, "that ain't l-l-looking good."

Poe enters the cockpit next to Padme, "T-minus 5."

Padme gets up so Chewie can help pilot the ship.

R2-D2 chirps as Finn runs by him.

Finn, "Artoo."

R2-D2 chirps and follows his friend.

The area above them opens, revealing a small alien staring at them.

Finn, "Boolio, good to see you. You got something for us?"

Boolio, "from a new ally! A spy in the First Order!"

Finn, "a spy? Who?"

Boolio, "I don't know! Transfer the message! Give it to Leia and Mara, hurry!"

R2-D2 chirps as Finn and Boolio connect a device to the astromech.

Finn, "this could be big, Artoo."

R2-D2 chirps and beeps.

Before more can be said, several squadrons of TIE Fighters and TIE whisper fighters enter the system, prepared to take down the Falcon.

Poe, "Finn, we're about to be cooked!"

Finn, "we're almost there!"

Padme, "just hurry!"

The beeping ceased, meaning Artoo had the info!

Finn, "Poe, we got it. How do we thank you?"

Right before the door closed up, Boolio said, "win the war!"

Chewie groans as the Falcon begins a chase with the TIE Fighters.

Finn and Padme make their way into the gunner seats to provide cover fire.

Poe, "sorry, I'm sorry! I know! Finn, Padme, you're supposed to be getting rid of those things!"

Finn and Padme are each able to shoot down a Fighter.

Finn, "oh! I got one!"

Padme, "same here!"

Poe, "how many are left?"

Finn, "too many."

Padme, "this crap isn't even funny anymore!"

Chewie groans an idea to Poe.

Poe, "what?"

Chewie continues grunting and pointing to some metal scaffolding ahead of them.

Poe, "good thinking, Chewie. Finn, we can boulder these TIEs!"

Finn, "I was just thinking that. Ha! Get us back to base!"

Finn shoots the metalwork, and is able to boulder in the TIE Fighters, but there's still a few chasing after them!

Poe, "how thick do you think that ice wall is?"

Chewie looks at Poe like he's a madman!

Finn and Padme make it to the cockpit as the Falcon suddenly jumps through lightspeed, allowing it to go through the ice wall.

As the chase continues, R2 magnetizes themselves to the floor, with DJ hanging into the droid for dear life.

The TIE Fighters continue chasing the Falcon as it stops among a bunch of sharp mountains.

Finn, "Poe!"

Poe, "I know, I know!"

After a few moments, they activate lightspeed once more.

Finn, "what are you doing?"

Poe, "Lightspeed skipping."

Finn, "how do you know how to do that?"

They stop among a bunch of towers, making their way through each one as the First Order continues their pursuit.

Chewie groans.

Poe, "yeah, well, Rey and Jace aren't here, are they?"

They skip once again and stop in a nasty green fog.

The larm wails as a large creature appears before them.

Poe, "last jump, maybe forever."

Klaud screams in fear.

You can hear DJ yell, "you s-sonuva bitch, D-D-D-Dameron!"

Poe, "hold on!"

They perform one last lightspeed skip, escaping the TIE Fighters as they crash into the beast!

….

We go to Ajan Kloss, a jungle planet.

Animals are chittering in the distance.

We see Owen dueling an opponent with his saber.

Owen now wore dark orangr robes in the style of the outfit his father wore on Endor, with his blue jacket sitting nearby.

His opponent was an older Cal Kestis, teaching Owen further in the ways of the lightsaber.

Their lightsabers clashed ferociously, sparks flying at every strike!

The two separated for a moment as they heard clapping nearby.

They turned to see Ezra sitting there with Nine and BD-1.

Ezra, "Well done kid. You're better than I was at your age."

Owen, "I think it's because me, Rey and Padme have had great teachers."

Cal, "aw, c'mon Jace. We're a bunch of old space wizards. You, Jaina and Rey are naturally gifted."

Ezra, "yeah, me, Cal and Ahsoka all had to go a long way with our training. You, your sister and Rey do the Jedi proud."

Owen, "speaking of which, I hope Rey's doing alright with her training…."

….

We see Rey floating in the air, with rocks floating around her. She now has white robes on.

BB-8 is watching nearby.

On a hill nearby, we see their teachers.

Leia, dressed in purple clothes.

Mara, dressed in her usual get-up.

And Ahsoka Tano!

She looked great for her age, with her skin still a vibrant orange, her head-tails much longer, and she wore tight brown robes.

For a woman in her seventies, she kept herself healthy and fit.

She had started a family years ago, but they were in hiding in safety while Ahsoka helped train Rey, Owen and Padme.

Rey chants softly, "be with me. Be with me. Be with me."

She opens her eyes and says, "they're not with me. Ugh."

Rey slowly floats to the ground as she approaches her teachers.

Leia, "Rey. Be patient."

Rey sighs as she says, "I'm starting to think it isn't impossible... to hear the voices of the Jedi who came before."

Mara, "nothing's impossible."

Ahsoka, "it took me a long time until I became the Force user I am today."

Rey, "nothing's impossible. I'm gonna run the training course."

The three women give a nod as Leia hands Rey the blue saber, put back together.

Rey takes it, and pulls something off of her belt. A lightsaber!

One fashioned from one end of her quarterstaff. She takes both sabers and actually connects them together into a double bladed lightsaber, with the weapon being more like her staff.

Rey runs off to the training course, with BB-8 rolling behind her.

Mara, "she does those sabers proud."

She finds Owen there waiting.

The two give one another nods as they begin going through the course with amazing skill.

They both put on a helmet that blocks their sight as two training droids try, to blast them.

They manage to get across, dropping their helmets as both of them start climbing a tree, just as fast as the other.

They each slice a piece of a ribbon tied to their respective trees.

Rey's being red, and Owen's being blue.

Once they get back down, they continue running through the forest.

They make their way back to where BB-8 was, jumping across the gap, and continuing like the wind, with the training droid following after them and BB-8.

….

We see Kylo Ren opening a container in his room, showing Vader's helmet.

He touches the old helmet, trying to feel some form of connection through the Force.

With who? We don't know….

….

Rey is knocked to the ground as the training droids spin around her. Owen helps her up, and the two of them activate their sabers.

They continue to eye the droids as they try to avoid every shot sent at them.

….

Kylo keeps searching for a connection.

….

Rey and Owen both throw their lightsaber through the air.

Owen's saber is able to slice one droid in half.

He quickly pulls his weapon back to him.

Rey's spins around hers, distracting the droid.

Her saber slices through a nearby tree, the blades cutting through it twice!

She quickly grabs a large stick from the ground and swings it, stabbing the droid into a tree.

Rey catches her saber using the Force, with the ribbon around it.

Owen smiles at Rey, and she smiles back.

….

Kylo reaches out once more.

And this time, he succeeds in making a connection.

….

Rey and Owen both heard voice in their heads, along with haunting images.

No!

Dad!

Join me.

Traitor!

Join me.

Ben! No, you killed him!

No.

Ben!

And the connection ends just as fast as it began.

….

Kylo takes his hand off of the gnarled helmet and walks off….

….

Both hear whimpering nearby.

They turn to see BB-8 stuck under the tree Rey sliced.

Rey, "BB-8, I'm so sorry"

Owen and Rey help the droid back up.

Owen looks at Rey, "you okay?"

Rey, "I don't know."

Even after all of this time, Rey still felt fear about her heritage.

While one of her grandfathers was Obi Wan Kenobi, the other was Palpatine.

The Sith Lord who created Darth Vader, nearly destroyed the Jedi, and led the Empire to enslave the galaxy for a good two decades.

She feared she would become like him, rather than the Jedi she also came from.

Owen could see the fear she held.

Owen hugged her, rubbing her back.

Owen, "you are not him Rey. You may have his blood, but you are not him. Your family is who you choose. You do the name of Kenobi proud."

Rey cried a bit as she hugged back.

Later, the two of them were back at the base.

Cal was off helping the mechanics work on their ships.

Leia, Mara and Ezra stood before Rey and Owen.

Ahsoka was nearby, but she was busy with Nine, helping keep the droid working.

Rey, "I didn't finish the training course. Got distracted. I'm just not feeling myself. I know it looks... it looks like I'm making excuses."

Leia, "don't tell me what things look like. Tell me what they are."

Owen, "Rey sells herself short. She did a great job on the course."

Rey, "I think I'm just tired. That's all."

Connix, "General... the Falcon still hasn't arrived. Commander's asking for guidance."

Rey disconnects Luke's lightsaber and hands it back to Leia

Rey, "I will earn your brother's saber... one day."

BB-8 chirps.

Rey, "no, you can't do it for me."

Leia, "never underestimate a droid."

Owen, "the story of our family."

Leia walks off.

Rey, "yes, Master."

Ezra, "for what it's worth, I think you've earned."

Owen spoke up, "Rey, you've MORE than earned that saber."

Mara, "you've done a lot for the Resistance. Luke would be proud of you."

Rey gave a smile as she said, "you're all too kind."

Later, as Rey is studying the Jedi texts, Owen is nearby with some food and drinks.

They hear a woman named Nimi Chireen yell, "Rey! Owen! Falcon's back!"

Owen and Rey grow big smiles as they run off.

They find BB-8 rolling towards the Falcon with Rose.

Everyone is clamoring around the Falcon.

Among the many ships scattered around, you can see the Mantis and the Ghost sitting among them.

A man yells, "come on, get over here!"

Another yells, "I need a fire crew here! And another one in the back! Go, go!"

A woman yells, "coming!"

Poe, "it's on fire!"

BB-8 whines at the sight.

Owen has wide eyes at the sight.

Poe, "whole thing's on fire. All of it. It's on fire."

Finn emerges from the Falcon, and is nearly tackled to the ground when Rose sees him and jumps into his arms.

The two smile at one another and share a kiss as DJ walks by shaking.

Padme runs out and greets her brother, the two sharing a warm hug.

Rey, "hey."

Poe, "hey!"

Rey, Padme and Owen approach Poe.

Rey, "there's a spy?"

Owen, "please say yes?!"

Padme, "we-"

Poe, "- really could have used your help out there."

Owen, "arguing later."

Rey, "how did it go?"

Poe, "really bad, actually. Really bad."

Padme, "we had to escape from a First Order squad."

Rey, "Han's ship..."

Poe refers to BB-8.

Poe, "what'd you do to the droid?"

Rey, "what'd you do the Falcon?"

Owen, "that ain't a fair comparison."

Poe, "the Falcon's in a lot better shape than he is."

Rey, "BB-8's not on fire."

Poe, "what's left of him isn't on fire."

Owen, "tis but a scratch."

Padme, "you said that about that scar you got the other day."

Rey, "tell me what happened."

Poe, "you tell me first."

Rey, "you know what you are?"

Poe, "what?"

Rey, "you're difficult. Really difficult. You're a difficult man."

Padme, "you aren't on missions with him constantly."

Poe, "you, you are..."

Finn, "Rey. Jace."

Rey and Owen, "Finn. Oh."

Finn hugs his two friends. Rose grows a big smile as she sees this happen.

BB-8 chirps.

Rey, "you made it back."

Finn, "yeah. Barely."

Owen, "ain't that always the case?"

Rey, "so, bad mood?"

Finn, "me?"

Owen, "no, I can't even remember the last time I saw you in a bad mood."

Rey points to Poe and says, "him."

Finn and Padme, "always."

Rey, "do we have a spy?"

Finn, "well..."

Chewie grunts.

Rey, "you lightspeed skipped?

Owen, "it's official, Poe is as crazy as Uncle Han was!"

Poe, "yeah, well, it got us back here, didn't it?"

Rey, "Poe, the compressor's down."

Poe, "oh, I know, I was there."

Owen, "oh Force…."

Finn, "every time."

Rose, "ain't it the truth?"

Rey, "you can't lightspeed skip the Falcon!"

Poe, "actually, it turns out you can."

Padme, "it wasn't designed for it!"

Finn, "all right, guys, we just landed, okay?"

Owen, "listen to Finn, he knows what he's talking about."

Rey, "what happened?"

Poe, "bad news, that's what happened."

Rey, "no spy?"

Poe, "no. Spy."

Rose, "that's not really a clear answer."

Rey, "did we make contact with a spy or not?"

Padme, "yes, there is."

Finn, "there's a mole in the First Order, and they sent us a message."

BB-8 beeped something to Poe.

Poe, "you dropped a tree on him?"

Rey, "you blew both sub-alternators?"

Poe, "well, you know what... maybe you should've been out there with us!"

Owen, "woah, don't pin this on us!"

Rey, "you know I wanna be out there with you. Owen does too!"

Poe, "yeah, but you're not. You're here training with the last members of the Jedi order. For what? You're the best fighters we have. We need you two. Out there, not here. Junior... get R2 into reconditioning."

R2 rolls off to deliver his message.

Finn, "it's true."

Owen, "we're playing the long haul Finn. Ahsoka, Ezra, mom, Aunt Leia and Cal are training us for when we gotta face Ben."

Rose, "just make sure you help when we really need it Jace."

Owen, "I promise I will."

Rey, "what's the message?"

….

Later, we see the Resistance all grouped together.

Poe, "we've decoded the intel from the First Order spy... and it confirms the worst. Sorry Jace, but it turns out Ren wasn't lying. Sigh, somehow, Palpatine has returned."

Gasping and murmuring is heard all around.

Cal, Ezra and Ahsoka all shared grim looks, having dealt with the Emperor and his Empire for a long time.

Rose, "wait. Do we believe this?"

Ezra, "as someone who worked with a spy numerous times, I believe it."

Aftab, "it cannot be. The Emperor's dead."

Mara, "who said he was still alive?"

Owen, "no, it's true. My cousin, Ben, told Rey and I about how he had returned. His spirit had possessed his own corpse like a puppet. And he's been trying to clone a new body for himself."

Padme, "damn, the one time Ben was telling us the truth."

Mara, "there's a first time for everything."

Beaumont, "dark silence. Cloning. Secrets only the Sith knew."

Cal, "what is his plan, exactly?"

DJ, "d-d-does it matter?"

Poe, "he's been planning his revenge. His followers have been building something for years. The largest fleet the galaxy has ever known. He calls it the Final Order. In 16 hours, attacks on all free worlds begin."

Padme, "he's had years to complete this fleet. Who knows how powerful it is?"

Chewie groans.

Mara, "I agree with the Wookie."

Poe, "the Emperor and his fleet have been hiding in the Unknown Regions. On a world called Exegol."

Ahsoka, "I remember studying that planet in the Jedi archives."

R2-D2 chirps frantically as Rey runs off to look at the Jedi texts.

C-3PO, "Exegol does not appear on any star chart. But legend describes it as a hidden world of the Sith."

Ahsoka, "I can confirm Artoos words."

Cal, "so can I."

Owen, "just the place he would go to…."

Beaumont, "there were always whispers of his hunger to cheat death."

Padme, "his spirit lives on in a dead body kept fresh by machines. How closer can you get to cheating death?"

Ahsoka, "oh I could probably think of a few ways, given how many times I've come close to death."

Mara, "that makes two of us."

Poe, "so, Palpatine's been out there all the time. Pulling the strings."

Ezra, "even after all of these years, things haven't changed."

Owen, "even Snoke told Rey and I this when we met him. Talking about how he and Ben served the same Master."

Leia, "always. In the shadows. From the very beginning."

Padme, "from the Clone Wars, to now."

Maz, "if we want to stop him, we must find him. Must find Exegol."

Rey approaches Leia.

Rey, "General? Can I speak with you?"

In a few minutes, we see Rey speaking to Leia and the other Jedi.

Owen and Padme stood right beside her.

Rey, "I know how to get to Exegol."

Leia, "tell us."

Rey, "Luke searched for it. For a long time. He nearly found it."

Owen, "the key word being nearly."

Rey, "there are ciphers here I can't read. But he said to get there, you need one of these. A Sith wayfinder. They're compasses that lead the way to Exegol. To stop what we all know is coming... I need to finish what Luke started. Find Exegol. Find the Emperor."

Owen, "all three of us."

Leia, "no."

Rey, "I don't want to go without your blessing, but I will."

Owen, "the same goes for me."

Padme, "and me."

Mara, "Leia, you know we won't be able to stop these three."

Leia just looks at her.

Rey, "I will. It's what you would do."

Ahsoka, "she's got a point Leia?"

Ezra, "and besides, it's not like the rest of us wouldn't be doing the exact same thing."

….

Poe, "so, you got her up and running?"

Poe turns to Rey, Owen and Padme.

Mara is seen walking towards them with a pack.

She wasn't going anywhere without her kids.

Rey, "you were right before. Owen, Padme and I are gonna pick up Luke's search for Exegol. We're gonna start where his trail went cold. The Forbidden Desert of Pasaana."

After Rey tells them this, Poe says, "yeah, I know. We're going with you."

Poe walks towards the Falcon with Mara following.

Poe, "Chewie, you get that compressor fixed?"

Chewie grunts a yes.

Mara, "great work!"

Owen turns to Finn, "we need to go alone. Just the three of us."

Finn, "yeah. The three of you with friends."

Padme, "it's too dangerous, Finn."

Finn, "we go together."

Mara, "all of us."

Chewie grunts his agreement.

BB-8 chirps in.

Nine beeps his reply.

C-3PO, "I wholeheartedly agree."

Rey smiles, chuckling softly.

Finn, "Rose?"

Rose was walking towards Finn with a backpack.

Rose, "the General asked me to study the specs of the old Destroyers. So we can stop the fleet if you find it. But Ezra and his team offered to do that for me."

They saw DJ walk by.

Finn, "DJ?"

DJ, "forget it F-F-Finn. I'm staying here. That s-s-s-stunt with Falcon was enough f-for me."

Rose, "well, we'll catch ya later?"

DJ gave a wave as he went back towards the base.

Finn and Rose smile at one another as they walk towards the Falcon.

Poe, "hey, we should get going. What is it?"

Rey, "nothing."

As he's setting off to go off with Rey, Finn and Poe, Threepio turned to Artoo and said, "in the event that I do not return... I want you to know that you have been a real friend R2. My best one, in fact."

R2-D2 chirps happily at his friend's words.

Rey, Owen and Padme stand before Leia.

Rey, "there's so much I want to tell you."

Owen, "I don't think all the time in the Galaxy would be enough."

Padme, "but-"

Leia, "tell me when you get back."

She gives Rey Luke's lightsaber and Rey embraces her affectionately.

Rey sniffles as Leia says, "Rey... never be afraid of who you are."

Rey and Leia end the hug, and as Rey heads towards the Falcon, Owen and Padme turn to their aunt.

She embraces her family, maybe for the last time as she says, "I love you both so much. Keep each other safe. And never let Rey go."

The siblings nodded as they went off to start their next adventure.

….

We see Rey sitting in the cockpit with Chewie.

Poe is in the lounge with Finn and Rose.

Zero: Owen does find the green saber later on, and I had it so Rey uses both the old blue saber, and her new yellow one. Also, I wrote that Owen finds the saber in the trophy room before I even knew about what you said. I couldn't find a reason for why Vader's saber would be on Mustifar, since it was most likely destroyed on the Death Star. And I tried to make Palaptines return make sense, with him possessing his own rotting corpse.

I finally worked in Ahsoka, Cal and Ezra into the plot. They've been helping Leia and Mara train our three young heroes in the Jedi arts.

Rey already knows of her being a Palpatine, Phasma is still alive, DJ has joined the crew, Rose is coming along, and I have an actual explanation for how Sheev came back!

I'm also gonna be using plot threads from the OG script of the movie.

Such as the core cast hijacking a Star Destroyer during the final battle, the Force ghosts of the past being present during said battle, Chewie gets to pilot an X-Wing at some point, andnRose joins the crew on their adventure.
