Chapter 11
Fight Night
Kimberly woke up to find Tommy gone and the bed empty. On the bed there was a card next to a pretty tropical flower. She opened it and it just simply said I love you see you tonight. ~Tommy
Kim was sad she was still not happy that Tommy was going to fight Marcus. She was concerned for his career, his duties and most of all his safety. She did not understand what he needed to prove there was nothing he needed to prove.
She got up from bed and decided she was going to go to the pool.
Tommy was at the hotel gym with Jason and Zack. He was getting stretched by Jason while Zack was coaching Tommy on how to let go of his anger and focus on technique.
Flashback
Tommy arrived at the Miami Airport, it was the only flight to the US leaving Costa Rica three days after the Island blew up. He had spent most of the time talking to a lot of government agency and he just wanted to be back on US soil as soon as possible.
He was going to buy a ticket from Miami to California. When he saw a sign it said go to Fort Lauderdale. He knew Kim lived in Fort Lauderdale she was just finishing school.
He called Jason "hey man I needs kim's address"
No hello asked Jason laughing.
Come on man before I lose my nerve said, Tommy.
I will text it to you said Jason with a grin.
Tommy got in a Cab and asked to be taken there.
On the cab ride, he thought about what he would say to Kim once she saw her.
He knew he wanted to see her. It was 3am when the cab finally got to the apartment complex. He knocked on the door hoping to she would be home.
He waited for someone to come to the door. When someone final came it was a guy same age as Tommy.
Who are you? Asked the man
I'm Tommy Oliver but I have the wrong door.
He walked away knowing she was not thinking about him.
Kim's Apartments Miami
Who was at the door asked Kim?
Some guy names Tommy something Olive. He said he had the wrong place.
Before he looked up Kim was gone.
She saw him Down the road it was 3 am Kim was shoes less running as fast as she could to reach him.
She yelled Tommy stop don't go please.
Tommy heard her but kept running.
Please stop she yelled. I Love You!
She fell trying to reach him. She whispered please stop. As she laid sitting on the ground.
He saw her fall and ran to her side. Are you okay?
No, where have you been? Why are you leaving? She asked Tommy.
It just time for me to go said Tommy.
No is not, you need to find me you need to be with me. You need to hang on, the crane says hang on. Said Kim.
Tommy I love you and you need to get to the Island with the mangos. The crane says it near by you just have to wake up.
Wake up! Tommy I love you said Kim.
Tommy woke up he was disappointed he was not next to Kim.
He felt sleepy he was trying to get his bearings.
The sun was bearing down on him and he was holding on to the door.
He looked up and saw a pink spoon Bill crane circling around him.
Lead the way Tommy said to the crane.
She took off and he followed using the door as a boat.
Tommy got tired and the crane swooped down close to make him move. Tommy was exhausted and the night was coming.
He fell asleep again.
Tommy was sitting at the beach on the steps. In Angel Grove
Kim was behind him.. Are you okay?
No, he shakes his head. I am tired Kim.
Kim sit down next to him. Tell me? She asked.
I am tired of my life never going the way it seems.
Always involved in the morphine grid. When do I get my own life?
Kim hugs him; you are the greatest Ranger in the universe and the universe needs you.
Tommy rolls his eyes. Kim I just want to have what Jason, Rocky and Adam have.
What is that they have? Asked Kim
Love a family a life.. Tommy said
Kim turned Tommy's head to face her with her had on his chin.
You have love I love you! You just have to find me and come and get me.
I won't push you away said Kim I want to be with you just as much as you want to be with me.
It won't be an easy road but I love you I always have. Kim said with he arm around his neck.
What do I have to do to get you back Kim? Asked Tommy.
Swim! she said you are almost to the shore Kim said.
Tommy snapped awake and swam to the shore.
The crane was with him the whole was to shore.
Tommy got to the beach and laid back against a mango tree.
When he did the tree shook a little enough to knock over the last Mango on the tree.
Tommy picked it up and with a pocket knife he cut a slice and gave it to the crane.
Seconds later the falcon landed next to the crane.
Hey old friend have not seen you since I sent you to stay with Kim. She sent you didn't she asked Tommy to the Falcon nodded.
Jason is on his way isn't he? The falcon nodded again.
Tommy finished his Mango laid back against the tree to dream about Kim again.
Ready asked Jason at the hotel gym. Tommy opened his eyes.
He looked at Jason
ready! Exclaimed Tommy
They started spar.
9:00 pm the Hotel Room
Should I got; I should go paced Kim in her room.
What if something happens to Him because if me.
She looks in the mirror
Could I live with my self if something happened to him.
She closes her eyes and thinks about a dream she had with Tommy.
Tommy what is wrong she asked him.
I'm the mentor of a team Tommy said sitting on the beach step looking out at the ocean.
Watching the Falcon and the Crane fly above the water.
Tommy that is amazing Zordon would be so proud of you. Said Kim. She sat down next to Tommy to watch the Crane and the Falcon fly and dance over the water.
Yeah, but what if I can't what if something happens to these kids. It would be my fault.
Tommy looks down I am not an Extraordinary wizard like he was.
Kim grabs Tommy face look at me you are an Extraordinary human, you are the leader of many Ranger teams, you have a Ph.D. in something and you are a teacher.
Nobody in the universe can do what you do and you have to guide these kids because no one else can. Finished Kim.
I just want to be like them Kim said Tommy looking at the Falcon and the Crane.
I want to be free to fly and I want to be with you. I miss you everyday. I know I don't say it out loud and when I wake up I dismiss these dreams like they are not real. When I know they are and I know we are communicating because our birds want to be together. Explain to Tommy.
I love you too Tommy and one day we will be together but until that time comes or we move on with our real lives and we are happy we will always meet here by the beach. Kim said.
I just want you to be happy Tommy. Do what makes you happy. Be happy Tommy it's okay to be happy.
End of flashback
She opened her eyes again and looked in the mirror.
I am going she said.
The Club Fight- Tommy's locker area
You ready? asked Jason
Yes, said Tommy. He goes to his bag and pulls out a letter for Kim. Jason if something happens please give this to Kim. Tommy says
Okay says, Jason
We said no letters ever remember said Kim.
Kim Tommy said
She ran to him and he hug her. I am sorry she whispered
I am here I would not want to be any where else. Said Kim.
Please be careful Tommy, please. Pleaded Kim.
I will and after this it will be over said Tommy.
Kim nodded.
Let's go said Jason
Tommy turns to Jean please make sure Kim is out of here if anything happens.
Don't worry Dr Oliver I will make sure she is safe. Said Jean
Jason and Tommy walk in front of the curtain Jason prep Tommy for the fight.
The Ring
Well folks tonight you are in for a really treat. We have a Champ. Said the announcer
Marcus stands on the post of the ring and flares his arms like he is the champ.
And an Underdog Marcus points at Tommy.
Tommy still has his hood on with his back turned to Marcus looking at Jason.
In the Blue corner a black belt an this year's all city final champ Marcus the little bull dog Vansinty
The crowed cheered. Marcus walked to the center of the ring
In the red corner we have a man that in the fighting world needs no introduction.
9th degree black belt, 5 time US CHAMPION and 6 time world champion. THE YOUNGEST TO WIN The US national championship, and currently youngest to win The world Karate federation championship. Master Tommy the White Dragon Oliver!
Tommy turns around and there he is all in his glory this that Marcus had never seen was. Tommy full physics appearance include all his tattoos that only a few people have seen since Tommy usually fights in his karate Gi.
Properly the most intimidating thing that Marcus has never seen was Tommy mean fighting face and right now Tommy was mad.
Green Ranger Mad.
They took their stance, Tommy had the hight advantage and looked down on Marcus.
The Bell Rang and Tommy instead of dancing around he connected a right hook to Marcus temple Marcus falls
Tommy waits for him to get up. Marcus get's up Tommy kicks him in the head Marcus falls again.
Tommy stood before him waiting for him to get Marcus pulls out knife and lunges at Tommy.
Tommy moves back instinctively but Marcus still slice Tommy deep enough to draw blood but not deep enough to be dangerous.
Zack & Billy where about to jump in but Jason stopped them.
He can handle it said Jason
Marcus lunges at Tommy with a high jump and the knife. This time he connects with Tommy Shoulder.
They both fell Marcus on Top. You see this knife I used it to cut Kim's pants and panties the first time I raped her.
Marcus said while looking at Tommy face. All of sudden Tommy's eyes flashed green.
Tommy pulled out the knife and throw it across to Jason. Jason step on the knife.
Tommy kicked Marcus in the head. Marcus fell and Tommy got and top of him punching left right left.
Tommy gets up and yells at Marcus to get up.
Marcus get up it's not over ass whole I am going to fuck you up. Marcus Tells Tommy
Well come on I am waiting for you to fuck me up screams Tommy.
Marcus lunges at Tommy. He miss; Marcus stops.
Tommy lands a right and a left followed by a kick Marcus falls down.
This time Tommy was not going to let his get up.
Marcus grabs Tommy legs and pulls him to the ground they start to grapple.
Tommy this is not Tommy strong point Marcus try's to hit Tommy on the shoulder where the stab is to make him hurt.
Tommy is able to grab his hand to the point of breaking it. Marcus let's go of Tommy from the hold.
Tommy get's up and he hears Kim yell from the stand Tommy finish this.
It was all he needed a command from Kim.
Tommy does a Round house to the head three times his famous three kicks.
Marcus falls the crowed cheers and Money is being passed around. Marcus is out cold.
Tommy grabs Marcus lifts him up Marcus is half conscious with a swollen face.
If you ever go near her again I will kill you slowly. Do you understand says Tommy to Marcus.
With blood coming out of his mouth and nose Marcus says yes.
Tommy drops him he falls on the floor.
Tommy walks out of the ring, not waiting for the announcement of the Win. To him this was not about glory or fame, but protection of the only thing that matters in his life. His family and his future hopes for a family with Kim.
They leave the ring and fighting area and they all get in there cars.
