Chapter 13- The end for now
I'm going to be writing a sequel to this, it's going to be the girls readjusting, Brick and Blossom's relationship, the court cases, family drama and so much more! I hope you all enjoyed the journey of this incredible story and stuff that will go along with it!*
Blossom woke up hours later, noticing that Brick was now awake and was just holding her. He was watching her very closely, obviously making sure that she was okay. "Did you sleep well?" He asks her, running his his hand through her hair. Blossom nuzzles into the touch, she hasn't been comforted in this way in years. "I slept well... Thank you..." She wrapped her arms around his torso. He to her felt like all things safe.
"My brothers and I have something planned for today, to celebrate your first day of complete freedom..." Brick smiled. She smiles at him and like before, she automatically kissed him. "I really gotta get used to that..." He chuckled after she stopped. "I felt that I should return your love, that's how I feel I should..." Blossom blushed. "Blossom... I never said that you kissing me was a bad thing... I'm just not used to it yet..." Brick comforts her. "Well like me... You eventually will be..." Blossom shifts to cuddle him more.
Brick gets a text and looks at his cellphone. "Boomer got everything... Come on, we gotta go downstairs and join everyone..." He says and Blossom nods. They get up up and head down to the main floor. Blossom sees her sisters asleep on the same couch and feels her heart melt, this was their new life and she was beyond thankful for Brick. She turned to the kitchen and gasped, Butch and Boomer had decorated the kitchen. It wasn't extravagant, but it was still so thoughtful.
Brick cleared his throat and began to explain, "You guys spent your birthday at the hospital and the police department, so we thought we could give you a proper one... Your first birthday as normal citizens..." He stood ther nervously, he hoped that it would be enough. Blossom kissed Brick again and hugged him tightly. His brothers look at the two in shock, they were floored by how effortless it was for Blossom to show Brick her feelings.
"I'll wake up my sisters... Thank you guys so much... You've been amazing to us..." Blossom smiled to all three. She quietly walked to the other two girls and lightly woke them. Bubbles woke up first, her yawn was like a tiny little squeak. Buttercup groaned in annoyance and opened her eyes. "Do I have to get up? These guys have the most comfortable fucking couch ever..." Buttercup asked tiredly.
"Well they just did something very nice and it would be rude to sleep through it..." Blossom giggled. "What did you overly generous people do now?" Buttercup joked and sat up, Bubbles still cuddles her and burritos in the blanket. "You guys spent your birthday in a not so desirable way, so we kinda made up for it today..." Boomer said, he was holding three wrapped gifts. "Well it was better than being locked up in a room with a small little cake split between the three of us and then getting forced to go to therapy after..." Buttercup shrugs.
"Okay... That really sucks ass, but we're giving you a regular birthday party... We got you cheap store bought cake, bought you a gift each and put up tacky shitty decorations... You know... A normal, cheap as fuck but still fun birthday party..." Butch explains. "That sounds fun!" Bubbles squealed and Buttercup nods.
Freya entered the door and almost fell over from carrying the things she brought. "Hey guys! I brought you three an entire wardrobe of clothes! Happy not so birthday but we're still celebrating it!" She put down the 3 heavy garbage bags of clothes.
"You guys should go change and then we'll start opening gifts..." Brick offered. all three nod and to the bags into the basement to go through them. Brick brought them three bins. "Here, you can label them for each of you to have your own personal somewhat closet..." Brick put the bins down and left. The three girls picked what clothes they wanted and each picked an outfit to change into. they went into a bathroom and changed.
"Blossom... I can't believe it..." Buttercup said as the three changed. "I know Buttercup... We'll get used to it, let's just get comfortable while the boys are giving us the freedom... It is the least we can do after they saved us..." Blossom said and both her sisters nod in response. Blossom wore a light pink dress, Bubbles picked a pair of grey leggings and a fuzzy blue sweater and Buttercup put on a black t-shirt and jeans.
When all three renter the living room, everyone else smiles. "You three look beautiful..." Brick complemented, Blossom and Bubbles blush while Buttercup chuckled. "Sit down so you guys can open your gifts!" Butch said impatiently and Brick punched him in the shoulder, "Ow you bitch!" He huffed at his older brother. The three girls giggled at them and Brick's eyes lit up.
Blossom sits on the couch, followed by Buttercup and Bubbles. The three boys bring each girl their present and sit with Freya on the second couch, all patiently waiting for each girl to open their gift. "Blossom... Open yours first..." Buttercup insists, Blossom nods. She opens the silver wrapping paper and smiles. The gift was a collection of books and a small music box.
"The music box was given to me by my mom... She said that I needed to give it to a person I know that would cherish it..." Brick said and Blossom began to feel emotional. She opens the small ceramic music box and it began to play a cheerful version of swan lake. "It's beautiful..." Blossom felt the details of the golden plated damask pattern on the outside.
Buttercup began to open hers, it was a hand held game system. She never had one before so she was instantly intrigued. "I found that at the pawn shop down the road... I know it's not much but Boomer and I tried..." Butch chuckled. "It's really cool, I've never had one before..." She actually smiles. "Awesome, I grabbed a shit tone of games... I felt like it would be a nice way to relax while you're transitioning into life..." Butch smiled back.
Bubbles opens her gift and lets out a squeal o pure excitement, she held up the round fat cat plushie with a grin and hugged it happily. "Octi has a friend!" Bubbles cuddles both at the same time. "Butch and I dug through the bin of stuffed animals at the game shop at the mall, we didn't know if you knew what it was, but we're glad you love it..." Boomer grins too. Bubbles nodded enthusiastically and flopped while cuddling it.
After that all of them sat, eating cake and talking. After a few hours Freya left, "I'll be sure to check up on you guys often!" She winked and then left. The rest just sat around and hung out for the rest of the evening until bed.
Blossom and Brick were laying in bed together, just talking. "Today was so nice... That was the best belated birthday party I've ever had!" Blossom hugged him. "And it won't be the only one... We'll do it every year from now on... I can't wait until you guys can fully live like normal people again, it'll be a reward worth seeing..." Brick hugged back.
"Yep... We just gotta get ready to deal with everything that happened... And when that's behind us, then we'll finally get on with our lives... I know we have a lot to deal with, we gotta help the police convict everyone else involved and deal with life in general... I'm just glad I have you here with me to help me through it... I knew you were important to me, I just never realized how much until all this happened... I wouldn't have been able to do this without you..." Blossom rests her head on him, closing her eyes, this man was her safety net to be okay.
"I'm here through thick and thin... I've been here for almost 3 years and that won't change... I could build the determination to get you out of there, I can stomach everything that came with it... I just know that I will never let you come into harms way as long as I have a say about it... Trust me Blossom... I'm ready for anything... I always will be..." He was very sincere.
"If you're ready, I'm going to be ready too... We'll do this together!" Blossom felt sleep start to take over. "Together always... No matter what..." Brick said softly as both fell asleep.
